  1. As the saying goes, "All work and no play makes Jack/Mack a dull boy". In Bangkok recently for work, I made sure my evenings were free. Then tacked on a few more days in Pattaya. The first of four trip reports is up at http://shamelessmacktwo.travel.blog with one new report a day. Beware -- these are long reads. Sunday evening upload: Bangkok bars Monday evening upload: Bangkok massage Tuesday evening: Pattaya bars Wednesday evening: Pattaya massage.

  2. "may"??? I'm stunned and flabbergasted that a Trump supporter reads these pages. Oh, yes...wait, it's denial!

  3. The gays have gone through hell and back again and many still suffer despite laws that are supposed to protect us. The previous administration in the Whitehouse encouraged placing the Pride flag along with the traditional flag, on the same pole (during Pride month). Hmm - Your location - Tennessee = Trump supporter. Despite your being considered by Trump, less of a human than you are, you still support that hateful man - shocking!

  5. But Pence could never win a national election on his own. Unlike Trump, he has no cult following and can be easily defeated at the polls (assuming there is no election tampering from a foreign power).

  6. I feel that Trump is one of the most despicable people in out world. Sadly, I fear anything happening to him because waiting in the wings is Pence, who could be even worse, considering his religious fervor and anti gay stance. I'm happy that I am not living in the US at this time.

  7. Hello everyone. As usual, planning for my trips in advance. Actually, I am leaving to Buenos Aires on June 25th. As Argentina is well known territory, I am not planning for it. But during my staying in Buenos Aires, I will spend one week in Rio. THAT is unknown territory, it would be my first time there. I already have the tickets. I decided to rent an airbnb instead of going to a hotel. That decision on which one is not yet made, I am waiting for some suggestions from sister @numazu1, who is too busy hanging out with Brazilian boys and has abandoned us but still chats in WhatsApp, and sends teasing pictures all the time. If anyone is going to be around, let me know if you want to meet. My plan is very simple. Writing and networking in the morning, beach at noon and early afternoon, sauna in the evening. Any tips about other things to do will be very appreciated. I do not think I would leave Ipanema/Copacabana area. For instance, I have zero interest on visiting the Cristo.

  8. You used the term "Yankee aggression" to describe the Civil War. My, oh, my! All legitimate history books confirm the chief reason for the Civil War was because of disagreement over the enslavement of black people. The "South" wanted to keep slavery while those "Yankees" (as you call us) wanted to end it. Your calling that war "Yankee aggression" certainly explains your allegiance to Trump and your view of minorities. Write what you want in rebuttal, I will not be responding to you again. Oh, and your comment "I am defending the office of the US President." is a mockery considering how Trump has abused and disgraced that office beyond repair.

  9. "So-called media" is a condescending term used by FOX News and by Trump and by his supporters. They use that term because they have no legitimate explanation for Trump's disgraceful behavior. Among many other things, Trump referred and continues to refer to immigrants that are not white as murderers, rapists and worse. We have all repeatedly heard him spout those hideous remarks over television and in news reports. Despite Trump repeatedly saying horrible things about immigrants, he ignored federal laws and hired nearly thirty of these supposedly horrible people to work in his Florida facility. He was recently outed for having "undocumented" workers at his Florida facility. He offered no comment when caught. Will he be fined? Of course not. He is above the law. He is the president and cannot be charged with any federal crime while in office. Hypocrisy and dishonesty are just two words that come to mind in assessing Trump! Our nation is in a crisis because of that horrible man. Our country has not been as divided as it is now since the Civil War. Read this Huffington article that confirms Trump's numerous lies that he has repeatedly told Americans since taking office. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/donald-trump-washingon-post-fact-checker_n_5cc6f065e4b04eb7ff98ec18 I am bewildered at your defending a man who clearly is anti-gay and has repeatedly shown disdain for gays. Trump's side-kick (Pence) has equal disdain for gays. Trump clearly hates gays and yet you defend him and his hideous behavior.

  11. Quite superb writing! I hope there is a novel or a travelogue - or even a series - lurking somewhere on your wish list. (I would have said bucket list but am sure you are not yet at that more advanced age.) It is so good to have you back! Yet the tales of your visit do make for rather alarming reading, in particular what the bars are offering in their new locations, the types of boys available and the lack of customers. We have known that over the last 15 years or so both the dancing on stage and the customer base has changed dramatically. Same for the introduction of boys from neighbouring countries who are often more fussy about what they will and will not do compared to the Thais who strutted their stuff years ago. O tempora! O mores! I remember in your earlier incarnation in a thread about the changing nature of the gogo bar business, you gave a splendid description with a detailed diagram of the type of bar you believed should not just be considered but would be a success. If my memory is correct, this involved breaking bar areas down to much smaller sections, each with a different type of activity. For a supplement customers could enter a room with boys dancing naked as they used to do aeons ago. With the increasing Asian customer base and its different male to female balance, I wonder if you think this might still work. Or has the market changed too much for that business model to work? I do hope that at some time in the near future you will consider an article giving us your thoughts on the differences between those times and the present, as well as offering your predictions a to how you see the gogo bar business evolving over the next few years.

  12. If I could drive downtown Palm Springs, or even go by tuk-tuk, and see a Jupiter show for all of $15, including drink, I wouldn't hesitate! I might hang around and meet some Oz rejects!

  13. Waitaminute. You can believe that muscular macho hétero garotos can tolerate having sex with sexagenarian male prunes for cash, but somehow can’t fathom that they would agree to sit down and share stories anonymously about their experiences for a few hours for pay? Everyone seems to have their own definition of what’s masculine and muscular, or feminine and twinky, but The Geeky Professor did interview and return some grips that he described as the former. Even in the segment featured on the link in the OP: ”Researchers and clients alike have often remarked that masculinity is to the garoto what femininity is to travesti sex workers.4 The essential (and even stereotypical) features of the gender being performed are rendered so completely that they become exaggerations and collapse away from the perfection of the ur- form by virtue of their proximity to it. Whereas travesti sex workers inject silicone to enhance their backsides and breasts into an almost inhumanly perfect shape and size so they can be “better than women,” garotos adopt a hypermacho walk, demeanor, and body. For example, Pacu was a twenty-six-year-old light-skinned garoto who worked in a sauna in Rio. Pacu, whose telltale nickname refers to a species of fish that has a peculiar underbite and is related to the piranha, had such bulging neck and shoulder muscles that he seemed to have difficulty turning his head from side to side. He kept his torso waxed to make sure every rippling abdominal muscle was visible from a maximum distance, but because of the thick, coarse hair on his arms and legs, he seemed to have been naturally hairy otherwise. Although studious in the maintenance of his persona as a “total top” and prolific in his frequent use of mildly homophobic epithets lobbed at clients, staff, and fellow garotos alike, he was more fastidious in his grooming than nearly any garoto I met. He kept his hair perfectly coifed and liberally gelled, ran to the locker room to pluck any stray chest hair that he discovered he had missed, and enjoyed frequent pedicures to stave off damage from the famously grimy and broken cobblestoned streets of Rio that are so at odds with the Brazilian love of flip-flops. Beyond merely being metrosexual or attentive to grooming practices, Pacu tried to embody masculinity, yet his need to conspicuously showcase that masculinity resulted in practices that were not stereotypically masculine. Pacu’s bofedade (butchness) was so artificial that he complained that whenever he went to other businesses near the sauna, he stood out among the other working-class men, whose masculinity seemed natural and effortless next to Pacu’s. The shopkeepers would treat Pacu rudely or give him poor service “because they see my body and they know I’m a boy and they think that this makes me low class.” Alternatively, he worried that they “might treat me badly because they think I’m a bicha because I do this work. But they don’t know I’m a real man [homem] so I would never give my ass.” He constantly compared himself to other garotos in the sauna as well, worrying that someone else was bigger, tougher, more masculine, or more attractive. Just as the clients find themselves in a paradox of queer desire, so too did Pacu find that the cruel optimism of masculinity meant that the more he strived to attain the ultimate bofedade, the more it slipped away because it just isn’t manly to worry so much about manliness. Still, Pacu never wanted for clients, who found in him a macho and avowedly straight guy with rough and not even conventionally attractive features…”

  15. You just bragged about a 45 year age difference between you and your pursuits. That’s not “aging”, that’s “aged”. That train has already left the station. Since we’ve gotten into memes as a viable communication method, there are some pretty funny but true memes posted by those crazy kids on the interwebz that state what kind of mature man they seek for pleasure and profit:

  16. But a 45 year age difference? Come on! Isnt there a 50 year old, even a 40 year old. Hell, a 30-something! Not necessarily this poster, but what’s seriously icky are the posters who reject much younger garotos because of their age (too old, like in their 30s) —- and these fuckers are around 70 themselves!

  17. In Brazil, it’s highly probable that he would not self-identify or be identified as black. In the USA, however, he would definitely fit under the umbrella of “black” (like most Afro-Latinos in America) — our “one-drop rule” here. And the circumstances not only of their age / class differences, but also of their meeting somehow strangely always seem to get glossed over and made to seem so romantic and magical. My conclusion is that my it’s because it’s two males. Had David been a barely 20 year old favela high school girl named Daniella, you just know that every reporter and gossip blogger would be commenting on it and investigating.

  18. There is another possibility why US citizens might choose Hotels. Credit Card companies give away lots of points and sometimes , a Hotel is chosen because it is free and no way AirBnb can beat that price!. A.so people who work for big companies may roll up lots of points on business and silly to let them sit there. When the Luxury is free, it tastes even better>

  19. Perhaps you did not notice that I said that there is nothing wrong with traveling for sex. We all do it. I merely pointed out that there is more to the city and the people than their sexual organs. I'm sure you will post pictures; all I hope is that you don't, again, post faces.

  20. You weren't offensive. There are Some people in this forum you just have to ignore because they're simply miserable as hell. If you are spending your own money on vacation then you're allowed to vacation and enjoy as you please. Glad you enjoyed your trip. I'm here now. Will post a full summary with PICTURES AND VIDEOS by Monday. Thanks for the shout out!!

  21. I agree—the people of the DR are some of the warmest people I’ve met, delicious food, and GREAT history. Manny also hooked me up with some great tours and guides while I was there. I didn’t mean to overlook those things, but, since this forum was generally about sex, I focused on that. Didn’t mean to be offensive.

  22. OK. I have to say this. I've been to Santo Domingo from 4 to 6 times a year for thirty years. I've seen bars and discos come and go as well as procurers like Manny. Let me point out that the restaurant scene in the Colonial zone is wonderful, the people are friendly and kind. There is a lot to do here besides sex and you might find, as I did, that learning about the people and their history builds an appreciation that enhances your "sex tourism". There is nothing wrong with traveling for sex, everyone here does it or else why be here. But you will find it dull as time goes by if you don't, also, enjoy the place. By the way, some of the sex photos that were printed caused a huge stir among the guys in the city. Don't be fools and ruin it for them and for us.

The next President is going to have to undo a whole list of negative accomplishments by Trump. Experience will go a long way to fixing the damage done. So many of the Democrat candidates are relatively new that they won't have what it takes. We don't need another inexperienced candidate.
