  1. I wish you would all just give the feud thing a rest. Put each other on ignore. I'd rather not have to put more people in this forum on ignore. I will be fascinated to see if this ad actually achieves anything. My view is that you have to have a soul to care, and trump supporters have lost theirs, if they ever had them.

  2. Honestly! Some days I think I should just stay up in my turret. (Thanks, guys! It's been ten years since I posted this one over at the other site and I never thought I'd be able to trot it out again. )

  5. Personally, I'm a big fan of boycotts and Chik-fil-A gave me my hardest test yet. I kept hearing how great it was but also how many bad causes they sent their money to. I sure didn't want them forwarding any of my money. As you might expect, it was nearly impossible to find one in the liberal Bay Area so it was only when I visited family back East that the conflict became real. A few years ago, I got as close as their parking lot but was saved by the fact that it was Sunday and they were closed. I toyed with the idea of poking around in the dumpster for a free sample but apparently I was not the only one with this idea. Fast forward to last year when I learned that, not only were they donating to pro-gay causes, they had also just opened up twenty miles away across from my Costco. A week later, I found myself in a long line waiting for my Deluxe Combo, large fries and a chocolate Hand-Spun shake, whatever the hell that means. Now, at long last, I can report that it was anything but worth the wait. Not to me anyway. The chicken was OK, but no better than KFC. The "biscuit" was only a little fluffier than cardboard and a bit less flavorful. The french fries were likewise bland, and a pickle no more goes with chicken than a feather boa goes with board shorts. It was the milkshake that was most disappointing and, had I bothered reading the ingredients first, I'd never have ordered it. Whole milk and nonfat dry milk, sugar, cream, water, contains less than 1% of: whey, mono and diglycerides, corn starch, guar gum, carrageenan, calcium sulfate, cellulose gum, brown sugar, natural and artificial flavor, natural flavor, salt, caramel color, beta-carotene (color), annatto (color), chocolate syrup (cane sugar, corn syrup, water, cocoa, natural vanilla flavor) At the very least, I'd have asked them to serve the guar gum, carageenan, calcium sulfate, cellulose gum, mono and diglycerides and artificial flavor on the side so that I could add them to taste. Don't get me wrong. I've had worse fast food. The spicy mutton curry at Little Taste of Calcutta, for example, kept me toilet-bound for three days but the price was right and my table came with its own fly swatter. So, for me anyway, the boycott merely delayed the inevitable and Chik-fil-A is officially off my list for culinary, if no longer political, reasons. They could hire RuPaul as a car hop and I still wouldn't go back.

  6. I support and participate in well planned large scale boycotts because, as in the case of South Africa, they work.

  8. You seem very wise for your age. I confess to starting out a dumb blond, and I had no problem skating by on good looks and a decent cock. I had to learn life the hard way. But you are correct, "it's not just a matter of age," and I tip my hat to all the young folk who are out protesting, risking their lives for us all.

  10. I had a recent trip to eat a nice meal at Siam Brasserie. We practiced social distancing and had an amazing meal. This is one of the best meals I have had in Bangkok. They have a wide variety of items and we had 7 courses. I can't eat that much but I especially enjoyed the Green Curry and the Ribs. The dining experience was delightful! https://www.siambrasserie.com/ Address : 3477 Rama 9 Road, Suan Luang, Bangkok 10250

  11. Supreme Court says gay, transgender workers are protected by federal law forbidding discrimination on the basis of sex THIS is so much important than gay marriage! Kudos to the 2 Conservative judges who joined the Liberal minority.

  13. Well, Justice Kavanugh came through for the president as Senator Graham forecast. Bad news for Senator Collins in Maine though. As a result, the Republicans may give up a Senator seat.

  14. Christian conservatives rattled after Supreme Court rules against LGBT discrimination After all the money they spent and the political effort invested to repopulate the courts with judges friendly to their Theocratic project, they are not happy. I am sure they will double their lobby power in incoming controversial decisions.

  15. I am happy to out politicians who have proven themselves to be enemies. You don't get to count on the discretion of a community you are attacking. I do think Graham is a homo, but I also think he's enough of a coward to have never done anything other than having a rich fantasy life about all the truck drivers he'd like to blow in rest stop bathrooms. So, sadly, I doubt the discussions of his sexual practices is going interesting places. But an ad that puts his full hypocrisy on display while knifing Trump is beautiful to behold.

  17. Gay Republican political strategist, Tim Miller, is Political Director for Republican Voters Against Trump (www.rvat.org). For some reason, it's difficult to find a handsome photo of the guy. He's a bit of a dweeb, but the camera may not like him. Miller is also the author of "The Kiss - What Mayor Pete means for America." Here is another interview where he talks about coming out: Closeted Campaign Staffer Republican Voters Against Trump just released a scathing anti-Trump political ad, using devastating clips from Lindsey Graham. In her 4 PM show today, Nicolle Wallace said Miller's political ad against Trump is one of the best ads she has ever seen in her career. Here is the ad. I highly recommend watching it.

  19. I've met too many tall, foreign trinkets who married boorish American men for money (and to get their parents safely into this country). So "I am proud of her" is not a statement I can make. However, if the story presented in the book is true, it reveals Melania's shrewdness (or she has her own lawyer who gives her smart advice). I like smart women who know how to play the game of chess. In that respect, I give her props. Works for me. If you're willing to post a photo of your ass, we can see who agrees with your doctor? Reminds me of the time I went to a new doctor, and after the exam was over, he locked the door and asked if I would mind if he sucked my cock. I meant to share this event on the board many months ago, but I forgot. In the end, he came and I didn't, so I decided not to return to him. Selfish horny fucker.

  20. As Joe Biden might say, "this is a big fucking deal." Glad this happened. Disappointed our President and his administration were on the wrong side of this and fought against it. Glad a few of the Supremes jumped on board with the liberal block. However, more court cases to come.

  22. Steve King, House Republican With a History of Racist Remarks, Loses Primary One major fucking Republican asshole out, 196 to go. I'm doing everything humanly possible to see Republican legislators feel some serious pain this November. They deserve a ton of pain for not only elevating Trumpism in America, but for having their tongues stuck up his ass for the past three years. This class of morons deserve SERIOUS PAIN.

  23. @lookin LOL! How divine. I've never seen this one before. So fitting and apropos, too (except I photograph much taller and have better taste in crowns). I love a great turret. There are several in Italy that have been completely remastered for upscale tourists. There is one in Tuscany that offers an outdoor terrace where the castle owners serve breakfast and dinner to the turret's occupants. The terrace overlooks the ancient Medieval city. The lodging experience is marvelous. Thank you for providing levity.

  29. The rumors surrounding his inability to lift his arm high enough to drink a glass of water, suggesting mild stroke causation, are fascinating. And how about that new Melania book, claiming she re-negotiated her pre-nup to get her to agree to move to Washington shortly after the inauguration? She remained in NYC, which cost taxpayers millions. That means she used all tax payers to help re-negotiate her financial status with her husband. Can't help but wonder if a class action lawsuit is in the making. Can't help but believe that every word in that book might be true.

  30. As you get older and learn how the Capitalist machine works, you become more aware (if you want to). I pay very close attention, for sure. My money, my responsibility. I've learned from very successful friends in finance: Follow the money. As a consumer who cares, it is my preference to know. Money is power and freedom. I think it's important to know with whom you are supporting.

  32. Sure. I guess you epitomize the highest point on gay awareness. If that is your Gay Club, I am glad to cancel my membership. And by the way, your analogy with BLM is irrelevant. I am not calling for a boycott to Daddy, not measuring people's commitment to fight against racism by their participation or not there. Furthermore, I have encouraged everyone who contacted me in public and in private to stay participating over there. But what is the point to try to explain the complexities of a personal ethical/political decision to someone who measures you according to whether or not you eat a chicken sandwich.

But if looks that things are cooling down a bit all over so quite likely another pool in month or two will bring more user friendly results specially when everybody will sit down calculator in hand and counts calmly damage closing economy brought on households and national budgets.
