  1. Day 1 Tittle sounds somewhat dramatic but I couldn’t think about something better reflecting that, my 22nd trip to Thailand so here we go. As soon as I recovered from jet lag after returning from my December trip I start plotting when my next one should be. Not only missing Thailand but also still not depleted travel fund made itching to go unbearable so I decided to go in May , in my circumstances meaning ASAP. Thailand Pass approval came in a day, I managed to secure quite good flight price with somewhat exotic connection through New Delhi with equally exotic arrival time at 5 a.m. On my way I had a bit of crisis sitting so long in the silver tube, after 8 hours realizing that it’s only mid-way that I started having doubts if it’s to long before I decide that those long flights are not for my anymore. At 5 in the morning Swampy was quite empty and since plane parked at very far end of terminal it was good 15 minutes walk to immigration allowing me to finally stretch my legs not to mention ventilate my digestive system after almost full day on the go. Since I travel light no waiting for the luggage, just purchase Thai SIM card and I was on my way to train station, managed even to check exchange rates in adjacent kiosks and find them this time disappointing so wisely as it turned out I decided to exchange money in my favorite spot XONE on Suriwong close to my first stop – Tarntawan. Historic moment for me – for a first time I took first train of the day out of Swampy and in 45 minutes or so I was marching toward hotel through already bustling part of Silom . I did not want any issues with early checking so took an advantage of their low rates and booked for day before asking them to keep the room as I will be arriving early in the morning. This way I could go straight to the room to shower and take short nap. Rested I went to world famous , UNESCO heritage , 7 ½ Michelin stars Foodland for a breakfast, exchanged money , made rounds through Silom sois and around 1 pm went around the corner to see if it’s really true that Tawan is offering massages during day. It was opened, sign posted ‘massage 500” and lonely guy named M sitting at the door. He lead me through now empty bar to a staircase , we climbed all the way to 4th floor to find few neat massage rooms. Massage was good , after about 1 hr I made some indecent but well received move and we went to stage 2 . Good start of the trip , promised to come later for the show, tip 1500 for 1.5 hr. session. Walked again length of Silom on both sides to see signs of gentrifications with shiny eateries and shops taking place of former ordinary ones. In the hotel I nap for a hour, than used Line to ask certain V, known to me from last trip if he can come for 2 hours of reunion . Answer come right away and soon he was knocking my door. He is not greedy but I , excited to be back in his embraces lavished 2000 tip on him , money well spent. At 8.30 pm to Hot Male downstairs in Patpong 2 to meet with paulsf and jimbill already conversing there. It’s a whole since I saw them both so we had some stuff to catch up but at 10.30 jimbill and I left , me quietly excited to see my first Tawan show in the new place. Tawan is by far friendlest bar in BKK, as soon as we showed up buys and mamasans rushed to shake our hands, few boys recognized me right away including Dam , whom I offed few times already and M, who massaged me few hours earlier. I was surprised to see that staff includes quite twinky guy with very attractive face My attention was on K, new guy , well under 30 y.o . with nice , symmetrical tattoos , no trace of hair and bulky muscles. When he noticed I’m staring at him intensely , he smiled broadly so I called him over for a drink and did not waste time asking if he goes with me (yes), if he does long time (yes) , if he kisses ( nit noi) i.e. my all liturgical questions finally to arrive to final one, how much you want. Answer was freezing 2500 ST , 5000 LT but I was not about to pass such opportunity for sake of spending 2000 more of what I think is fair Long Time rate. So I quietly gulped and asked him to dress and go. Not that we walked far to Tarntawan. It was great move on my part, money be damned and I couldn’t imagine better start to a trip than having such a hunk as my first night companion. Before day 1 finished we already agreed on noon trip to Mahanakhon tomorrow and mid-day visit in my room after that. So may day 1 finished in serious embraces , let me tell you.

  2. It was supposed to be Jun 2020 trip but Thailand did not let us in, then I tried my luck for October this year but canceled it. When Thai Pass came to an effect I decided to finally utilize that prehistoric ticket I bought back on Dec 3, 2019 for Jun 2020. And here I'm, feeling like chewing gum after 27 hrs trek, locked in my hotel room, waiting for a nurse to come and take my sample for dreaded PCR test. First time took Swiss and must say that their good reputation is well deserved, massive Boeing 777 plane was surprisingly full with plenty of mixed Thai-Caucasian couples prominently visible in statistic sample and a lot of young people. Few nice surprises on arrival. Thai bashers will be disappointed to hear that admission process was extremely efficiently conducted, well organized and well staffed. In reality they want to see your passport, Thai Pass QR code, immigration T6 form or whatever it'called AND YOUR BOARDING PASS FROM LEG BRINGING YOU TO THAILAND, somewhat unexpected. At 6 am weather extremely pleasant, perhaps no more than balmy 23,even now at 9.30 I' m sitting in my room with balcony door wide opened, AC turned off and all that in the room actually facing the sun. Traffic was also light, Sunday morning has it' s charms. Dtac booth selling Sim cards was opened, just past luggage belts and I noticed 1 exchange booth open but rates were kind disappointing so I did not change money there. Somebody reported messy and disorganized taxi procedure but it was not my experience,as you leave customs area there tables with names of participating hotels and somebody will lead you to your car from there. I must say I need to bite my tongue not to ask my hotel representative if he would be interested in LT since he will be right in place on the Moonlight stage. That is it for now, I will try to update you guys but test, results and well deserved rest first before I even venture anywhere from my temporary and quite pleasant confinement.

  3. Hi guys, Although this will be my first post, I’ve lurked here for a few months and gotten a tonne of (hopefully) excellent tips from you all for my first trip to the LOS. Hoping that my little trip report is both a good exercise to remember my trip by, but also might give back and help others live vicariously, as I did. Some context for the trip – I’m from Australia, and lucky enough to be able to travel occasionally for for work, now that our country has opened up again. As far as SEA, I’ve been to Vietnam 10 years ago, but never to Thailand. I booked my whole stay at one hotel - the SO/ Bangkok. Firstly, it looks super nice online, and the number of nights adds up to the exact amount left in my work travel fund – convenient. Next, it’s near Silom, and whilst not super convenient to the two places I needed to be for work during my stay, it was roughly between the two of them, and close to the MRT, if I get brave. I had planned to go for a full 2-week stint, but just before I was due to depart, I’m forced to reschedule my departure date for a funeral. After that, the need to ‘get out’ and reset elsewhere is strong. I am damn glad I’ve got a holiday booked... Although I do have travel insurance (to be worked out later after I come back), in the meantime, I worry about how the delayed departure is going to abuse my credit card – if anyone has similar worries in the future, FYI Singapore airlines let me change but charge me a fair bit to do so (the only remaining seat is then an ‘upgrade’ from business to business-flex, so I pay more for the same thing). Turns out there’s little leniency for the sake of funerals. On the other hand, my SO/ Bangkok stay was booked as non-refundable, and I expected this to be a completely dead loss, but after I call/email them, they kindly convert the 5 wasted nights into hotel credit (for food, drinks etc.), which I am really grateful for. At least it’s something! I figure I can safely drown my worries from the rooftop bar on that credit. Day 0: getting there. After a rough couple of weeks at home, an all-day couple of flights, I land just before 7pm local time. Singapore airlines business class is as good as I’ve been told… the food and wine are all delicious. I follow the very good advice from the forum and grab my bags, then head down to the lower level airport rail and get my local currency from the cheaper downstairs booth. Go back upstairs and get a cab to my hotel. The driver and I struggle to communicate, but it works out ok. By the time I make it to the hotel and up to my room, it’s nearly 9. The SO/ Bangkok common areas are beautiful and cool and comfy, and the rooms thankfully continue this (nothing worse than a hotel which blows all their money on a lobby then has dingy, crap rooms!). The rooms are themed with ‘mystical elements’ (e.g. metal, water, wood) and I get assigned a wood room. I’ve paid for the lowest level of ‘just a room’, but it’s easily as big as a suite in the average Aussie hotel – absolutely huge. My city-view room also includes a view of the river. The room itself is very nice – huge bathroom with both a bathtub and a rain shower; beautiful wooden floors and panelling throughout, and plenty of space – definitely enough space to spend over a week and not feel claustrophobic. Complimentary (non-alcoholic) mini-bar, and a good chocolate and fruit platter shows up ~20 minutes after I get in. The room and view: I finally get a much-needed shower and then on to the apps. At home it’s at least 1-2am (4 hour time difference), and I’ve been up since 5am, so I’m wondering if I have the stamina to do anything or have anyone over. I am considering just going to bed when I get a message. Do I want a massage and fun for 󠇍1500 baht? Why even think about it? Yes, I do. We’ll call him “7-Eleven”, because that’s the symbol he has tattooed on the back of his neck (I don’t bother to ask why…). He shows up within 20 minutes, and is cuter than advertised. Heavily tattooed (I don’t have strong opinions on this like some others here do), short and tightly muscled. Washboard abs and a perky little ass – delicious. No trouble getting him into the hotel despite having to change elevators via the 9th floor lobby – nobody said a thing, we just wandered up. The massage was very good, with good coverage and pressure; relaxing and just therapeutic enough that I don’t fall asleep during. Afters are great, with a seamless transition, and he was vers as advertised. Afterwards, we have a little chat, and he uses our time to get a little impromptu English pronunciation lesion - gotta love a guy who is still trying to improve himself into the small hours of the morning! He tells me he normally massages at Banyan Tree, so anyone staying there is in for a treat. After a 22 or so hour day, thankfully the beds are also great. 😴

  4. Introduction If this pandemic has ever taught me anything, is that to never take anything for granted ever again. My last trip to Thailand was in December 2019. That trip was the only Thailand trip I had that year, having prioritized Brazil and Colombia that year. I was already figuring out that Brazil catered more to my evolving taste for both boys, sex and entertainment, but I was still wanting to go to Thailand because of the food, the locations, and yes, of course the boys. Thailand's unwillingness to reopen as soon as others have (during the pandemic), however, has given me the opportunity to visit Brazil more, thus deepening my connection to that country, at the expense of the Land of Smiles. Throughout all that though, I've been trying to go back to Thailand since it always will hold a special place in my heart. I remember my last international trip before air travel was paused during the pandemic. No surprise, it was to Brazil. I remember entering Sao Paulo on March 17, 2020. The plane was half full, the streets of Sao Paulo where empty, and everyone was sheltering in place, even if Carnaval ended just 3 weeks before. On March 19, Brazil closed its land borders. After that, I finally decided to go back home on March 23, 2020, fearing that flights back to the USA would be cancelled eventually. And I was right. On March 27 they announced that Brazil would close all its borders, even air, on March 30. Thailand had a similar thought process, closing its land borders on March 18, and then all borders on March 26, 2020. I know that I am not the only one to think that this pandemic was only going to be 2-week thing when it started. And then a month rolled by, and then 3 months. Since I was just at home, my routine started to change. I exercised more. Ate better. I did more video calls, both for work, and for friends far away, similarly stuck at home, wondering when this will all end. I’ve gotten lots of desperate cries for money from boys (Brazil, Thailand, Colombia) without any incomes with all the saunas and clubs closed. Though it all, I thought I did pretty good for myself, and actually was able to focus on other important things that I wouldn’t normally would have without the urgency of the pandemic looming all over us. I was pained of course, as I had plans to go Thailand over Songkran in 2020: And then something miraculous happened: Brazil decided to open up again. July 30 was the date, so after only 4 months of staying put, I was able to travel again. And it was glorious. Less people in airports and airport parking which meant less time needing to be at the airport. Less people flying which means either instant upgrades to Business class, or having a row to myself in economy. Less stupid tourists clogging up the streets, and less people in the streets in general. And yeah, you had to wear a mask in the plane, but at that point, I’ve gotten used to it, and counted myself lucky to still be even traveling to care. And with Brazil’s infinite wisdom, most of the clubs in Rio and Sao Paulo opened up as well, which meant that I was sometimes the only gringo at the premises. I certainly made the most of it, judging from these trip reports: Through it all though, I’ve had Thailand in the back of my mind. When the hell will it ever open up? 2021 rolled around. Apart from my monthly, multi-week trips to Brazil, I’ve pretty much scoured most of Western Europe, the Middle East and Mexico. But Thailand has remained closed. (I’ve also have been keeping my eye on Japan, which is still in a weird reopening phase. I’ve been dying to return.) I see domino after domino of COVID restrictions fall down. Except Thailand. I shared this in August 2021: Then the Phuket sandbox happened in July 2021, and while appealing, still was too restrictive for me. And news about the bars still closed was disheartening. Then Thai Pass was introduced in November 2021, and that felt more appealing to me, though the RT-PCR requirement, and the quarantine hotel requirement was something that was a bit unnerving to me. It just introduced (perhaps unnecessary) wildcards to a supposedly wonderful trip. I’d rather just go straight to Brazil, (even with their evolving COVID requirements as well – from medical insurance requirements, to COVID test, to having scrapped everything as of April 2022), and their open bars. I finally bit the bullet and bought my ticket to Bangkok last April. I was heading to Dubai in June, and found it interesting to instead head over to Bangkok after that trip instead of high-tailing it back to California. Also, Thailand dropping the COVID test requirement for vaccinated travelers was the deciding factor for me as well. The COVID dominos were starting to fall in Thailand. The June 12 announcement that the USA was dropping its COVID testing requirement to enter the USA was another domino falling that was just icing on the cake. It seems that the stars are aligning in just the right times for me to make a comeback in Thailand. So next post will be my preparations for the trip, and the REAL reason I am going to Thailand. P.S. To new posters, yes, I am always this long-winded when it comes to my trip reports. An example:

  5. As I've said before, I'm not a good trip report writer...thoughts run around in my head and I'm not as detailed as others to remember boys numbers etc.... So I'll give a rundown on what my trip was like...... I'll break it into a Pattaya - a BKK- and a Bali thread I flew from JFK-TPE-BKK on EVA Air, business class using UA miles. EVA left JFK an hour late which only resulted in a shorter connection time in TPE. Their service was flawless, as usual, one of my favorite airlines. Arrived on time Sat Oct 8th @11am ...made my way to the Fast track lane, regular immigration didn't look too bad either and was through in about 8 mins. Luggage was already coming out and mine was one of the 1st bags out. Off to look for Mike Taxi, they had someone there with my name and only waited about 5 mins for the car to arrive....no big conversation since the driver spoke zero English. Only traffic was arriving in Pattaya, 1.5 hrs from the time I left the airport, not bad. I would be staying 10 nights in Classroom hotel with various food discounts and credits since I booked directly with them.....no issues at all during the stay, had a 4th floor room with a standing room only balcony. I unpacked and took a nap since it was still early, so I'd be well rested for the night. When I finally went out, I was surprised at how depressing it was with so many businesses closed up....not just bars, but restaurants, clothing stores, straight places (I'd feel the same way on Suriwong in BKK) Many places that I used to go to , weren't there anymore. My friend from NYC wouldn't arrive until the next day, so I was on my own....walked Boyztown and had a drink at Panorama, was really quiet there and went to Nice Boys, the chubby guy mamasan was drunk and annoying, so I left to walk around Sunnee. More depressing, lol....So I went back to Nice Boys and told the mamasan outside that I'll go back in if she keeps the fat guy away from me...she called him outside and yelled at him in Thai, obviously being scolded. She told him to apologize and he just looked down at the ground....what a relief, he didn't even look in my direction the rest of the night. I can usually find one guy in any bar and make a selection, the choices were pretty limited, about 5 guys, so I took one that had a tattoo on his face and I was laughing thinking how many here hate tattoos and what they'd think of this 😝 Stopped at the metal table restaurant (Pakboong loy Fah), which I'll refer to as prison table restaurant for a drink and Back to my room, was fun but not a repeat off in the future. I was well rested and not satisfied, so I went to Jomtien Super Complex (has a ring)....met with gayinpattaya had some drinks, no one was grabbing my attention and when the bars were closing the waiter at Cocka2 said he was going to the beach and drink with friends, if I wanted to go. I was wide awake and hadn't done that in a long time so I said sure. Was fun, nice how his group of friends watched out for me, making sure I was having fun and not left out....we stayed until about 5am and decided to go to my room, he needed to make money after all. We stopped on the way at a 7/11 and an old lady was cooking on her food cart, so we ordered 2 dishes and went back to my room. Was maybe the worst tasting Thai food I've had anywhere, disappointing. Sex with the waiter was ok, would work as a backup/emergency but not 1st choice...plus was older than my liking, but very nice guy. The 2nd day, my friend arrived, was staying at the Hilton so we went for lunch at Jasmin's Cafe only a few blocks from his hotel and a favorite place for me to eat. Then off to Jomtien beach, via Bolt taxi, prices so cheap and very comfortable cars. Went to the "gay" part of the beach near the toilets in the road and Chit saw me and thanked us for coming. Manicure/pedicure (those old ladies do a better job than most spas). Went to FRA Pattaya on S. Pattaya Beach road, as recommended here, was awful. Two bad meals in 2 days...couldn't believe it. Then for a foot massage at Relax massage, I got a cute/fun Cambodian and my friend ended up with a no personality older Thai guy. We hung around in Boystown and my friend wanted to see EVERY bar and show there was, because unlike me, he wants to look for the greener grass somewhere else thinking it might be better. I like a waiter from Classic boys and felt like drinking some more, so we went to Jomtien had some drinks, he seemed to enjoy it because he had never been there. One thing I make sure of is that the guy knows how to do a massage, because if the sex is mediocre, at least I can enjoy a massage for the money I am paying 😏 He ended up being a emergency backup in case I didn't find anything some night. The rest of the nights were the same, almost every bar In BT, he wanted to see if anyone new showed up although only BBB 1 time, that was enough my friend likes good restaurants, we ate at Cafe des Amis for his B'day, was nice (my steak on the EVA flight was better) the service was top notch, May's Pattaya was very nice, I'd recommend, VERY INEXPENSIVE lunch was Thai food good taste (Google it) , Alibaba Tandoori was very good and fun waiter, had breakfast at Hilton hotel a couple of times, great buffet but my favorite was prison tables....convenient and very tasty food. Dreamboys had the best, for me....I did 3 different offs from there....one was a couple of times and my best sex of the trip. Passionate, nice dick , hot sex....but the next 2 times, boring and into his phone....hate that. Pattaya is typically low on the sex satisfaction scale for me, has been for over 20 yrs. I still like coming to go to the beach, mani/pedi, massage, food and not spend a ton of money. I know this going in, so no high hopes for Pattaya. As someone from here pointed out, I'm more work than most because I want to drink, have fun, FULL SEX not just hand/blow jobs.... My friend had more luck on the apps.....I still need to see the person walk and talk to see if they're a fit for me, an ongoing issue on apps is lying about age and sex role and sending fake/photoshopped pics, makes me crazy and is a waste of time. I'll do BKK and Bali later....

  6. Day 21 In the morning no trace either one of us two being bored or hungry so we just brushed our teeth and returned to vertical position doing a lot of romantic stuff and talking . It was well past 10 when we decided to call meeting over, tip was paid with some extra bonus and we marched to world famous for my last breakfast this trip. Usually when I dine with boys there, they are sitting facing me, L decided for some reason to sit just beside. So when I got this extremely bright idea in some moment of enlightenment I could easily whisper to his ear “ are we going back to the room?, I’ll tip you extra” only to receive smile and nod in response. It looks that my last day will be spent almost all in bed, not that I’m complaining. Back to the room for more gymnastics and some talk. In meantime I discretely responded to X question if I want to see him today , unfortunately no. I liked his classy response “ thank you for supporting me all other days”. Equally discretely I confirmed to K that I will see him at 4 as agreed previously and as result around 3 pm. I initiated parting rites after what was longest off I ever had in Thailand. I did it with bit of heavy heart as it was nice to spent all that time with L and hope for repeat in the future. I kept my side of bargain and tipped him again for that not so short short time after breakfast and even walked him to the Silom rd where we shook hands farang way. At 4 I could see from my window K’s motorbike parking at front and minute or two later we were embracing again. With 4 LT and 3 ST he was staple of my trip and for me he was hunk of my dreams with no attitude, never rushing and smooth but steely body of semi-god, muscular but not overbuilt. No doubt he realized that I liked him so shortly after arrival he jokingly tried to discount his popularity with me showing me picture of motorcycle and telling that if I buy him that machine he will give his motorbike to his father. But after I found very good answer “ I will not buy it because I don’t have motorcycle myself “ he turned everything into joke. It was not out of this world request since I know former Tawan guy later transplanted to Jupiter whom I offed dozen times who got big machine from his Chinese lady client, I even saw her in the bar not to mention I was awarded trip to Hualampong by that vehicle. No, that phishing this time did not spoil my experience and we had normal fun as every time before. At one point Jason1975 reported arrival in BKK and I told him K and me will be dining at G”Bangkok so he can join us. And in fact shortly after we sat down there I heard my name, Jason came to say hallo and shake hands and I had impression in K he liked what he saw asking me where I got him from. Being discreet gentleman I whispered where from. Dining at soi 4 was not good idea today as all Pride attendees descended on the soi so place was noisy and very busy and I was glad I had my own, much more quiet celebration in my room. Another sad good bye today but I always maintain one can’t return without going away first. K went to his bar on his old motorbike , I walked to hotel to pack and since I travel lightly I did not take too much time but spent rest of time on my tablet until time came to roll my suitcase to Chong Nonsi. Night guard waved me good bye smiling knowingly and I don’t even try to guess what he thought of me but who cares. I was in airport bit too early , everything went smoothly and flight to Zurich where I had connection was uneventful . We arrived quite early and it was very refreshing after 3 weeks in tropics to finally get some crisp cool air on the terminal’s roof. 22nd trip was over, for a change after arriving home I almost did not have jet lag at all, no idea why but it was nice bonus. Thank you for all your likes and comments and now for a while I will be much more quiet here on the forum.

  7. Airport exchange booth was by the luggage belts. Because of covid I was, whisked to the waiting taxi so no chance to see whether booths at railway station are opened. What I noticed in Silom area few booths are closed presumably due to lack of tourists. I like to steer you to a "" Silom bars" thread where I posted a bit about Dreamboys show. As you see, live is slowly going back to normal. There was some movements I Hot Male outside too but did not have a chance to check it out yet. Soi 4 on Monday was, less busy but by no means deserted although at Jupiter it seemed only waiters were present and perhaps two boys but it could change later. Bars are starting earlier, at 8 but also closing earlier, at 11. Walked certain twink to a taxi past midnight through Patpong 1 and few bars were showing sign of life. On another hand atop of Mahanakhon between 10 and 10.50 apart from first arrival I. E. me only 3 other tourists appeared, one of them stepped on the glass platform, but I was first anyways. Lunching with another forum member at world famous, 5 Michelin stars Foodland Patpong restaurant between 1 and 2 it was almost empty as well with more staff than diners. Quarter Silom, new hotel in soi 6, just past Tawan or at least when Tawan once was, perish the thought is very modern and well appointed, even with a pool and a gym. Rooms not too big but very well appointed and organized, I liked long desk particularly. There's breakfast buffet, well stuffed particularly with Asian style food, if not included in room rate one needs to splash 129 baht. Kind of novelty are almost universal so far( 3 out of 4) requests for deposits at check-in, either 1000 or 500 so be prepared with cash or card number. Whether it's new trend or just kind of my bad luck remains to be seen. Dragon fruits are quite big this year so it looks covid works well for that crop. And jet lag is still killing me, as usual 3rd day is the worst. Getting old is no fun, jet lags, twinks and other disasters don't compensate for a fact that from time to time somebody yields the seat in the subway car or bus.

  8. Part 0: Ready for take off While I'm writing this, I am at the airport waiting for my flight to Bangkok via Doha. Ready for almost 1 month in Thailand. Bangkok, Chiang Rai & Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Phuket… I have a busy schedule ahead. Planning to make an interesting trip-report for you guys. Off course with up-to-date information about all “boy fun” on offer at the moment. But also some non-sexual (boring…? haha) stuff. Any requests on what to check out while I’m around, let me know. The first time I came to Bangkok was in February 2013. As starting point for a two-month round tour in South-East Asia. It was my first time travelling solo. A big adventure. I instantly felt in love with SE-Asia. Not only because of the easy-to-get guys, but also because of the culture, nature and food. As a result, I would come back every year. As I worked in tourism, I had 3 months off every year in European low-season; the best months to travel in SE-Asia. I even managed to work in Phuket / Khao Lak a few months for the company a few years later. A dream come true. My last holiday in Thailand was in January / February 2020, just before covid19 hit. And now, after more than two years I am finally coming back! In my favourite city: Bangkok. It’s busy, smelly, humid and noisy. But somehow I like how vibrant it is. I’ve always been more a city-person than a beach-person. I was thinking about all the good memories I have in Bangkok. The many nights I’ve spent in Soi Twilight. You couldn’t enter that alley for 5 meters without being groped, touched and seduced by bar staff, moneyboys and touts trying to lurk you into their club for a “big cock show”. All fighting for your attention and money. Entrance of Soi Twilight in the old days I usually started the night with a drink on the terrace of Maxis bar. While sipping my rum&coke I could watch all the craziness going on in Soi Twilight. From there you had a good view on the massage boys of Bangkok Massage waiting for customers. Laughing girls passing by. Straight couples with the guy holding hands with his girlfriend and having a scared look in his eyes. Solo male tourists getting in ando ut of XBoys, Fresh Boys or Dream Boys. With or without their “catch of the day”. The first show I watched was at Dream Boys. How shocked I was seeing the act with the ladyboy with the very small penis and the acrobatic fuck show. And you could just choose from the guys on stage by telling the staff which number you like? A bit like Chinese take-away restaurant: choose what looks tasty from the menu, tell them what number you want and take home to enjoy… A whole new world to me; buto one I found very interesting and exciting. I also remember another club at the end of Soi Twilight that had a big water tank, where boys would swim in to do some kind of underwater erotic show. Was it Classic Boys? Watch this YouTube video to see how it was in Soi Twilight the good old days. Anyhow; I was used to all of it pretty soon. The shows in the different bars didn’t shock me anymore. After you’ve seen a few, you come to the conclusion they are all “same, same”. The only thing that kept me intrigued for some time, was the act where they slam their hard cocks with a loud bang into a metal pole. That must hurt! But somebody told me they really don’t slam their cock that hard into the pole. The noise is made because the slam something else (feet/leg?) into the pole at the same moment, so it looks the cock is making a harder impact than it actually does. But I never managed to actually see prove of this theory myself. Soi Twilight closed down (2020) Why am I writing this? Because as we all know Soi Twilight is gone. The last time I was in Bangkok, I had to settle with Patpong 2 instead. It’s good that some of the bars and clubs from Twilight found a new home in Patpong 2. But in 2020 I felt Patpong 2 was by far not having that special vibe that Twilight had. And for sure, covid19 will not have done anything good to change it become better. But let’s look at the bright side: Bangkok still has a lot to offer when it comes to boybars, erotic shows and sexy guys. And I’m about to go on a big adventure in the LOS again.

  9. As confinement started to wear on me precisely at 9.55 P. M. phone buzzed and YES positive I. E. negative result came. At time when decent people start making their beds I left my comfy prison heading to nearby BTS. It looks that ticket machines are revamped and are taking only coins now, at least that was my impression, will check again. Vagons are revamped, some seats are removed to make more standing room. As I entered, to remind me paradise is near I was greeted by commercial poster featuring two BL actors, Mark and his partner, can' t recall his name now. Then across from me in company of the girl was sitting guy I recall from one of massage parlors. Silom was quite deserted, Sunday night after all but still few vendors, few massage places opened, in one close to former Robinson I noticed stunner playing with cat. Soi 4 quite full, forget social distancing. Some bars crowded, some less so but none empty. Jupiter opened with karaoke inside and tables outside. Had beer and YES, got lucky. Not very lucky as I' m Longtimer but lucky enough so good start. Walking Silom from Narathiwas to Charon Krung I noticed very empty street, I saw, more rats than people, not that were too many of them. And street was very clean, almost no garbage anywhere. And with that emptiness of darkened street I had a thought- where the fuck in the world you can walk at night completely empty quite long stretch of the street in the city with multi million population and feel relaxed and safe? Next time you start complaining about this or that in Thailand remember that I walked alone to tell the tale without any heart pumping. Very mild temperatures now so I slept, if one can call 3 hours sleep "sleep" as jet lag is ravaging me, with wide open balcony door and was waked up by feeling hungry and sound of crowing cock. Go figure, in the middle of 10 million city!!! No doubt I' d like to have something to do with other cock at that hour but ifyou don' t have what you like, you like and enjoy what you have.

  10. (part 13) The story of 2 unfriendly boyfriends It was a rainy night in Jomtien Complex. Rain wasn't heavy but non-stop for hours. Most bars in the soi were empty. Many boys didn't bother showing up for work and pickings were slim. Wet and cool weather put me in the mood for a massage, so I put up my umbrella and checked out the nearby places. I saw no one at Soda but there were 2 boys standing in front of No. 1 Massage, both of whom I never saw before. Both are cute in different ways. The shorter one was medium-built with a cute face and poreless complexion. The taller one has a slim, taut body and big eyes. While I was approaching, Taller threw a cold glance in my direction then walked away. Not a friendly way of greeting potential customers. Shorter stayed put but didn't look any friendlier, avoiding eye contact as much as he could. Normally, I would give it a pass and look somewhere else as friendliness rates very high in my book. But the rain didn't give me much choice and boy was my type. So I stopped and said hello. Fortunately, Shorter's English is quite good (would be hard to try Google translation outdoor in that weather) and he himself was talkative. His name is S, 25 years old, from somewhere near Bangkok. Today was his first day working in No. 1 Massage but no customers because of the weather. "How much do you want for a massage with happy ending?" "1200, but no sex" What, do we have other kinds of happy ending that do not involve sex? Turned out by "sex" he meant anal f*cking. He can kiss, suck and chuckwow. That worked for me. So I asked him to go with me to my hotel. "No, I only do it in the shop. I don't go customer's place." It was only around 11pm something but his shop already closed due to lack of business. It looked like we can't do it that night. "How about the other boy? The one who was with you just before now. Does he go to customer's place?" "He's my boyfriend and he's same same. No go outside" Interesting, what he just said reminds me of Boy No 6 and his boyfriend (reported in parts 8 and 10) who have been working in the same go-go bar in Bangkok and who doesn't mind the other going with customers. Anyway, that doesn't solve the problem at hand. "Look, my hotel is right there" I point in the direction of Agate, which is literally 20 meters from where we was standing. "You have nothing to be afraid of." S looked unsure. I think he really could use a customer that rainy night but the idea of venturing outside the safety of his shop somehow scared him. So we stood there for ten more minutes in the rain while S debated the pros and cons. He talked to another co-worker in Thai, then made a call to (later he told me) his boyfriend. Finally, he said "Ok, I can go. But promise me you don't try to fuck me in the room." Do I look like that desperate rapist, who wouldn't even spare a goat??? Inside my room, things got much better as I usually have a way of putting people at ease and and making them open up. S started working on my legs and back, while telling me about his relationship. His boyfriend is 3 years younger than him at 22, and they've been together for nearly 5 years. Impressive. It looks like their relationship is going strong (No 26 and his boyfriend been together for only about 6 months). That long time also means it's easier for them to handle a sexually open relationship. S has been doing massage job for almost 2 years. He and his boyfriend made a deal: they can do almost everything with customers but no fucking either way. S is bottom and his boyfriend (who started the relationship with S when he was barely 18) is the only one who can f*ck him. That's why he didn't do out-call lest a customer force him to do something he's not willing to. "Then why you go with me?" "Because you don't look like a bad person" (by "bad" I think he meant "goat rapist") "and farang customers are big" I think I can connect the dots. I have the same body type as his boyfriend, smaller than his so he thinks he could handle me if things go rough Still, when S jumped on top of me for the after-massage part, he checked again "Promise you won't try to fuck me" Something must have happened in his "massage career" for him to be that careful. I just rolled my eyes. What could I do? He was even on top of me. Unless he tries to sit on my flag... Anyway, S kept his end of the deal. He did everything else, vigorously. Sucking, kissing (very much into kissing), jerking off (he came all over my body) and more importantly, he did it with feeling. I feel we really connected that night. I also kept my end of the deal of doing nothing around his bottom area although my other end kinda hoped that S would sit on it. It was just an okay massage but with a very happy ending. Later, we showered together and he touched the hickey he left near my collar bone, smiling and saying "Sorry". He could be sweet if he wants to. "Don't worry, I won't show it to your boyfriend." Speaking of whom, I checked with S if I can also do his boyfriend. Actually I enquire if I can engage his boyfriend's professional service as a masseur at an appropriate time in the future. "Yes, but he is not friendly" When an unfriendly person claims that another person is not friendly, that's saying something, isn't it? "Well, I can tell. Before he looked like he wanted to kill me." S laughed and gave me his boyfriend's contact. They share a rented room right there in Jomtien complex so they should be available anytime. Staying true to himself, S was back to being cold and distant the several times I walked by the massage shop in the next few days. I never saw him greet a customer, eyes always glued on his phone, avoiding all eye contact. He never noticed me if I didn't call out his name and when he did, didn't even acknowledge it with a smile. Does he really expect customers to pick him just based on cuteness? Since then I was a bit worried about how things would go with S's even unfriendlier boyfriend. We made arrangements to meet at the hotel lobby a few nights later. Throughout the awkward silence of the ride up in the elevator, I kept thinking "Was it a mistake to do this?" Once in the room, he silently stripped down to his underwear and all my wistful thinking went out of the window. His body looked exactly my type (S was a bit too chubby for my taste but he had a cuter face to make up for it). So I decided I'm gonna just enjoy his massage and his body despite the apparent lack of connection. Then I noticed he fumbled around, trying to open a bottle of oil massage with slightly trembling hands. "Are you nervous?" "Yes, my first time in hotel. We don't go hotel before" Then I remembered seeing his profile pictures wearing all Uniqlo clothes. "Do you like Uniqlo?" His face brightened at the mentioning of his favorite brand. "Yes, very much" "Me too. Big fan. Half of my clothes are Uniqlo" I even got up, opened my suitcase and showed him my collection of Uniqlo apparel. Now he truly smiled. The ice was broken. Boyfriend of S's English wasn't as good as that of S, but he survived simple conversations. Again, we talked about his relationship. They met online in a game, got talking and fell in love after just one month, and been together since. They were both from poor families, so still have to support their parents back home. They shared all the money they made but didn't make quite enough so if S's mom gets the money this month, Boyfriend's mom would receive money the next. Unlike S, Boyfriend kept his underwear on the whole time he was doing my back. When it was time for me to turn around, I felt he was warmed up enough so told him to take off his underwear. To my surprise, something already stood at attention, saluting me. I think I found the friendliest part of his body. Understandably, things just got better, even better than with S, because Boyfriend was more of my type. Like S, he was also very much into kissing. His cock is shorter but much thicker than that of S - this couple really complement each other in many ways (except for the friendliness part). I think I know what you guys are now thinking. S would do a threesome, a four-hand massage with another boy but not with his boyfriend. Boyfriend wouldn't do any kind of threesome. I'm sure I want to do them both, but not at the same time. So we were all good. Although Boyfriend remained very hard throughout, he couldn't cum because he already came earlier during the day with his boyfriend (I was his only customer of the day). After, we also showered together for an amount of time inordinate for a normal rinse-off. We kinda played in the shower. Every time I saw his cock starting to get soft, I gave it a nudge and it was instantly back to a greeting position. And its owner, the unfriendly, cold and distant Boyfriend of S, kept giggling at the exuberance and friendliness of his cock, showing no sign of wanting to get out of the shower. Once we were done and said goodbye, Boyfriend gave me a hug (S gave me a hug and a lingering kiss on the lip so I think he still wins the friendliness competition), I gave his cock a final nudge and voilà - he left the room with a noticeable bulge in his loose pants. A minute later, Boyfriend sent me a smiling blushing emoticon through Line without any words. I checked if he was still hard. "Yes". I asked if he wanted me to come downstairs and make it bigger again. He replied with 5555. So much for being unfriendly huh. (to be continued)

    A Proper Return :)

This trip was planned in outline by Bangkok Guy and then refined by me as I encountered the reality of logistics in Thailand. All air routes pass through Bangkok, you can’t simply fly direct city-to-city, and this consumes a lot of time. It was not possible to fit Bangkok Guy’s top three destinations into ten days and we settled on two, Chang Mai and Koh Lipe, with an overnight transit stop in Hat Yai because the flight arrivals and boat departures do not match up if your starting point is Chang Mai and you have to travel via Bangkok. No Covid issues this time. Bangkok Guy is double-vaccinated, Moderna as the second shot, bright eyed and looking forward to our trip. He has been helping his sister sell durian ‘It good business’, except his sister likes durian and eats some of the stock, which amuses him. As I am with Bangkok Guy and not having daily bar-scene adventures I have experimented with the format of this report. Rather than write the report chronologically, after an initial touristic overview I have structured it by themes. As usual we visited the jazz bars. I still can’t find a calendar of who is playing where, which is frustrating. We tried the Crimson Room for the first time and found Norwood Young and his band were the act. He was excellent, great voice and quite a showman. Bangkok Guy loved it, so we returned after our travels but found a Thai singer who was good but not Norwood Young. Bamboo Bar was excellent as always. As in January Peter the resident pianist (I could listen to him all night) was backing Thai vocalists who were good but did not have quite the lungs and range of the vocalists in January. This was a disappointment to Bangkok Guy who particularly likes vocals that you could dance to if there was a dance floor. Bangkok Guy informs me that if you can’t dance to it, it “old people jazz” (which he still likes). Our first night in Chang Mai Bangkok Guy was excited to go to the Sunday night market. He loves markets. It was large and fun. In addition to the shopping there was a lot of activity at Wat Chedi Luang. We bought flowers to offer and, assisted by a monk, Bangkok Guy hauled a water container up a rope pully to tip over the ruined chedi. We returned to our hotel very late and Bangkok Guy discovered the night security guard was a guide (Bangkok Guy chats to everybody), so the next day he took us on a tour of the temples, a great restaurant in a garden by a reservoir, and shopping. The low tourist numbers were painfully obvious in the shops-geared-for-tourists to which he took us. Large complexes in which we were the only customers. Koh Lipe I highly recommend, but we will not be returning as Bangkok Guy did not like the hour long boat ride. The route is a two hour ride in a van from Hat Yai to Pak Barra on a good road, followed by an hour in a speed boat to Koh Lipe. Picture a gutted cabin cruiser with one large open space holding seating for around 30-40 people and four massive outboard motors. On the way there the sea had a slight swell which resulted in some exciting bumps even with an experienced driver, which in turn lead to a few cases of mild seasickness, one of whom was Bangkok Guy. Despite a room right next to the water with a view-to-die-for, excellent food, great snorkeling and it generally being a great place, Bangkok Guy did not forgive the seasickness. On the return trip the sea was like glass and it was wonderful. Still no forgiveness. I would return in a heartbeat and will try to bribe Bangkok Guy with the Idyllic Resort which we found just down the beach from our resort. “We can move here?” he asked hopefully. The attraction was air-conditioning versus fans. The return flight to Bangkok was an hour late due to weather. Approaching Bangkok the turbulence was uncomfortable – Bangkok Guy gripped my arm like a drowning sailor while I played at being calm and stoic. The cause of the turbulence became clear after the pilot made a U-turn into the landing approach. We had skirted a sizeable thunder storm with lightening the likes of which I have never before seen – massive, thick, bright white bolts that made me visualize pools of molten glass wherever they struck. After washing off the day’s travel at the hotel we headed out to Silom for Issan food. I got the feeling that Bangkok Guy is not often in this part of Bangkok anymore, several times he was not so sure finding his way around, and this was one of these occasions. No Issan food where he expected it. We ended up at Fork and Cork, which we liked. Since we were in the area, why not visit Jupiter? I wanted to see a show and Bangkok Guy was happy to go along as he likes the Jupiter guys more than I do. He likes buff. About ten guys in great shape. Good acts. A very thin crowd. Four or five young women front row at one end of the stage, two small mixed groups along the right-side front row, three guys on the left side and Bangkok Guy and I seated a little further back. However Bangkok Guy did not get into playing the ‘Which guy you want?’ game and his body language became stiff. When I suggested we go he almost leapt from his seat. I have not taken him to a bar since the very early days of our relationship, wanting to spare him any possible loss of face at being perceived as a ‘boy du jour’ and possible discomfort if I too-visibly found a guy attractive. Although none of the guys really appealed to me, the longer we stayed in the bar the more uncomfortable he was, particularly as I was trying to figure out if I thought #86 was attractive or not (conclusion, yes) causing my attention to be too focused. Bangkok Guy and I are firm fans of Baan Suriyasai and that did not change this trip. We tried the Blue Elephant and while I would recommend it there were many people, so not a private dining experience, and it is a fraction Euro-centric. The wait staff automatically focused on me, while in Baan Suriyasai they focus on Bangkok Guy. The limopattaya were great as usual, taking us to-and-from the airport and also around Bangkok in the evenings between restaurants and jazz bars. For the first time ever on my departure Bangkok Guy decided he would keep the hotel room and check out after breakfast the next morning. I left him happily snuggled under the duvet.

  12. Day 25, the last I can hear collective sigh of relief from readership , ‘ finally he is finishing this babbling” And I wouldn’t be surprised. I always say that there are three subjects : sickness , children and travel everybody likes to talk about their own but doesn’t want to listen about that of other’s. If I managed to bore you to death I’m not apologetic, you should skip it in the first place. On another hand if somebody can take some ideas how to spend good holidays from my stories I’d be very happy. Smiling guy and me had a breakfast in the world famous Foodland Patpong then we parted ways , both still smiling. My next task was dream of mine for long time – to take boat and survey Chao Praya downstream , not in usual opposite direction up the river. So off I went to Saphan Taksin pier where boats can be hired. As expected I had a bit of hard time to explain what I want, that I’m not interested in any scenic canals, I just want the river. It cost 1200 for 1.50 hr. , not a problem , still cheaper than short time and soon we took off. We toll all the way to Bhumibol bridge and back . As expected banks had more industrial character, quite a few ships moored here and there. Still river was more quiet than I’d expect for normal working day . some more pics from that lesser known side of river will be posted immediately below At 2.30 pm my last trip to this vacation headquarters – Sabaidee spa to see T. Seven meetings in one trip , two of them crowned with a party for boys working there says something. . Lots of good time , good memories and for T, good tips. Even him at one point asked me “why you are so good to me? ” . “ Because I like you” was the answer and I did make it up even if I did not manage to squeeze long time from him and he did not go with me to Pattaya as we planned. Handsome meaty hunk like my friend called him, even his lack of English we easily overcome with Google translate. Our last session was all the same with plenty of good massage and a bit of funny afters. Shaking hands farang way, smiles and I was gone , on my way stopping at Pulse clinic to collect my test results. In the hotel room I started gathering my things together mindful that X will hopefully show up and at agreed hour , perhaps 2-3 minutes later there was knock to the door and yes , it was him. Sexy looking as yesterday , knowing that both his and my time is limited , we did not waste time although my romantic mood from last night encounter with Jupiter smiling boy did not leave me so it was not as steamy but more huggy and caressy than previous two meetings. No fuss , just proper “ I’m here for you “ attitude. Fitting last encounter for this trip. Since he was going to his bar to take part of show he treated me with make-up spectacle beautifying himself in my bathroom, , in my opinion totally unnecessarily . I used that opportunity to extract few more intimate moments with him. I told him I will pack and go to Foodland after for my last supper and he promised to see me there . This is exactly what I did but he did not show up so I went to make my last stroll along Patpong 2 and when passing by Hot Male X suddenly showed up rushing in my direction So I used this opportunity to invite him for a meal there, had a tea to keep him company and time came for us to go back to work or back home. Last walk to soi 3 , I picked up my luggage, took BTS to Phaya Thai, airport train to Swampy , no fuss checking in, but test result was asked for and just before midnight we took off ending my 21st trip to Thailand, my longest so far and successful only on my 3rd attempt. Final notes tomorrow and you guys can have a rest from this vinapu's marathon.

  13. This is my 23rd trip to Thailand and it started very well as I managed to get, unusual in those expensive times, still very good rate so decided to visit few countries in the region. Started very well with plane full and departing on time. I usually travel with carry on only and so did this time but airline appealed before boarding to check carry on as dur to full load. Several. People decided to be good citizen among them me. And let me know, it was not a good idea which I learned shortly after take off. Captain announced that due to headwinds we can expect as much as 70 minutes delay, estimation proved exact. For me it meant that comfortable 90 minutes of connection time at Narita become in instant hair rising 20. And no, I was not naive to expect that in such time my luggage will be reloaded and very doubtful even if I will be reloaded. Japan proved efficient, there were scores of staff pointing into right direction not only 4 of us, Bangkok bound but also at least 40- 50 Manila bound Philippines. So sprint through the security, run to the Thai Air plane, walk of shame through cabin as my seat was in the last row and 10 minutes late we departed to arrive in Bangkok on the dot actually. Of course there was lady by conveyor belt with my name to inform me that luggage will arrive tomorrow and it was, quite liberating to go to the train station with tiny day pack. In May I took first train of the day from Swampy, this time I managed still to catch last one from Siam to Sala Daeng, walked through still busy Thaniya to Raya. Front door was closed as expected since it was past midnight but sign pointed to service elevator in the back. As veteran of that place I knew process anyways, there was still somebody on the reception, they checked me in smoothly requiring 1000 baht deposit. And I found myself in paradise again.

  14. Part 18: More fun in Phuket... With no go go bars being re-opened (yet), to get some fun in Phuket you have to scroll the apps, venture to the massage shops or just flirt with boys you like in the nightlife. There are a few massage places catering for us kind of people in the Paradise Complex. Most of them situated in the middle Soi. The one directly in front of the hotel tower. 4 Massage, right on the first picture. Actually very close to entrance of the hotel. The most boys and greatest variation of types I found on offer at 4 Massage. Also Blue Dolphin has his fare share of boys. But don't forget to check out the massage shops with smaller amount of boys. As there can be a stunner also. I found for example a very goodlooking boy at Sabai Sabai. In the evening it was time to enjoy the nightlife again. I couldn't find Spartacus. Google made me believe Spartacus was in the beginning of the Soi where Zag club is. But nothing open there. The first open establishment on the left side when you enter is Zag. On the right side there's another bar but is seems to be a normal bar. No gogo boys or anything exciting... So maybe they moved to another place that is unfindable, or your information is unfortunately not up to date.. After a few drinks on the terrace of G Club I was already feeling a bit tipsy. I was ready to call it a night and return alone to my hotel room. But on Grindr I got a message from a guy inviting me for a drink in Zag Club. It was a cute guy, with sexy body (see for yourself on picture below...). So it would be rude if me to say no. It was again a 6pack that seduced me... The guy said he had a good deal for me. Asking 3000 baht for a nice night ST. I replied by saying that was indeed a good deal. But not for me, for him. He laughed: "oh you know the normal prices, right"... So we agreed at 2000 baht. My hotel (Best Western Patong) is walking distance from Paradise Complex. But as we all know, Thais don't like to walk. So my guy insisted we would take his motorbike. Entering the hotel was no problem at all. Nobody asked anything, no registration needed so also no joiner fee. We decided to save water by shower together. In the shower his was eager, started kissing me straight away. And it didn't take long for him to be on his knees in front of me. We continued on the bed. Tasted everything on the menu and it was some time and money well spent. The guy is working in a 5 star resort in the North of the island. Well...he gave me a 5 star service too! 😁

  15. (part 12, truly in a tidbit fashion) After making my usual rounds this week at Dream Boy, Fresh Boys and New Twilight (in that order) and offed three boys of different nationalities (Cambodia, Vietnam and Myanmar, respectively), one from each bar, here are some updates. 1. Drink price and boy's cut: Dream Boy is the most expensive at 450B for both customer and boy drink, Fresh Boy: 400B, and New Twilight: 350B. Boys all got 100B from their own drinks. The bar fines (or off fees) are all the same: 500B (but different from Pattaya bars, as reported in earlier parts, boys in Bangkok bars receive nothing from the bar fine). 2. Boy's basic salary: all three bars provide some incentive for boys, who show up at work on time (8pm) and who do not have an off that night (boy drinks don't count). This amount varies from bar to bar though. Dream Boy stingiest with 100B/night, Fresh Boy better with 150, New Twilight most generous with 200 (on par with Banana Room reported in part 8). Fresh Boy also had this weird rule: if the previous night you don't have a customer, the next day nobody cares if you show up for work or not. But if you had a customer the night before and you don't show up the next day, bar assumes that you are still with that customer and you have to pay a bar fine of 500B. Since the boy I offed from Fresh Boy is Viet and we talked in Vietnamese, I think I got this correctly. 3. Number of boys: Since Dream Boy currently boasts the largest cast (more than 40), Fresh Boy middle of the pack (around 25) and New Twilight (less than a dozen, 7 floor boys and 4 show boys the night I visited) comes last, the above-mentioned incentive appears to play a lesser part in boys' decision of where to work. I think number of potential customers is far more important. Fresh Boy and Dream Boy both played to a packed house the nights I visited (drizzling midweek nights) and many boys got off. Things did not bode well at all for New Twilight: Saturday night, perfect weather (pretty cool but no rain) and only 6 customers (4 alone and 2 together) at the time the show started (10p30). A few more arrived during a show. There was a large gaggle of young male farangs coming in, who could easily double or triple the "crowd" size in the house if they decided to stay, but they didn't. I think when they saw there were only a few boys on stage, fully-clothed, they backed out immediately. 4. Speaking of New Twilight's attire problems, I made it a point to complain loudly to 2 different mamasans about what the boys were wearing on stage (this is a GO-GO bar with GO-GO prices, why LONG jeans and black t-shirts with LONG sleeves, revealing almost nothing; the boys all looked like valet parking attendants in some casino hotel in Cambodia). Both mamasans assured me boys would wear less later (after the second show, around midnight), but I didn't see that happened. When I finally picked a boy, before making my decision (actually I already made my decision when he showed me shirtless pictures on his phone), just for added effect, I asked him to get back on stage at least shirtless. He took off his shirts and stood at the end of the rotation. Then it looked like he explained the situation to other boys and moved up front so I can admire his toned body. I nodded my approval "that's how it's done", told the mamasan (who recognized me from the early X-boy and Lucky Boys days and still remembered I'm Vietnamese) to go get the tab. Funny enough, when my boy got back to me, another on stage also took off his shirt (probably in hope of getting more attention?) I also saw that most boys who were asked to come and sit with a customer are show boys, who wore underwear most of the time, and one got an off and left with a customer after the final show, around the same time I left with mine, a bit after midnight. Another problem (New Twilight's freezing aircons which other members complained about) was also addressed several times that night. When I put on my light jacket, a mamasan asked if they should adjust the temperature (good customer care). Then another customer on my left asked them to change it again because it was still freaking cold. Then just before their second show, one of the dancers in a skimpy outfit asked for the third time. It was then warm enough I had to take off my jacket to reveal my toned body. Sorry I digress... 5. The "You can f*ck me but keep it an open secret" trend: as discussed in part 10, I noticed this phenomenon years ago in Vietnamese MBs in Vietnam, but this time, I start noticing it too in Bangkok bars. When I visited Hotmale earlier this week, the only one I would consider offing is No 34. Checked with a mamasan, who said he's Thai and straight. "Can I f*ck him?" "No, he's men." A few minutes later, another mamasan, who somehow got wind of my enquiry, approached me and said "You can f*ck him but you have to pay more. But keep it a secret because he's shy and doesn't want others to know". I refrained from asking the obvious question "then how come do you know?", "how much more?" Mamasan didn't know (maybe it was an even bigger secret) and ran off to asked, then came back with "He wanted 5000" (same level as Moonlight models?). I don't think so, so I didn't off anyone from Hotmale that night. Then in New Twilight, the boy I picked was also straight. Both he and mamasan said he's willing to bottom (not asking for more money though) but again, it's a secret (I tell only you) nobody knows (except those who know). 6. This time, I continued to off mostly new faces, as is my wont. I was second customer of the boy in Dream Boy, who was a 26-year-old hair stylist back in Cambodia and who needed money to pay off his big loan. I was (again) the first customer ever of that boy who got on stage shirtless in New Twilight. He was from Myanmar and just started 2 weeks ago, got two boy drinks but no off yet. It seems he's indeed new and tended to do exactly what I told him. Back in the hotel, I gave him a toothbrush. He went off brushing his teeth, then came back, still wearing his jeans. "You didn't take a shower?" I asked him. "I have to take a shower?" Off he went back to the bathroom. Later, it turned out, not just was this the first time he slept with a man, it was the first time he slept with anyone (He hasn't even slept with a girl yet, never had a girlfriend, and he's 21 years old already. Must have come from a far-flung backwater area.) Didn't even know how to kiss with tongue. "Are you nervous?" I asked him. "No, I'm not nervous.... I'm afraid. This is my first." Speaking of "first time", I was also the first time ever of Little Lao in part 11. Born to a farmer's family, grew up in a rural area and only did farming work, he never had a chance to have sex with men, let alone have a boy friend. "I went to Thailand to earn money but also to have opportunities to have sex with men," so he told me after that farce of threesome also reported in part 11. "I slept with 4 or 5 men so far" He added (proudly? but appears to lose count already though) Anyway, what happened with the Viet boy I offed from Fresh Boy was more hilarious. He was far more popular than the other two and also the youngest at 18 years old. He started in Fresh Boy 5 days ago and I was already his fourth customer. That means he got customers, both farang and Asian, almost every day. Can't speak English and Thai (not yet), very sweet and nice to talk to in his mother tongue, I think he would follow the same route as other cute Viet boys I met in Fresh Boy. Popular at fist as a cute new face, but no repeats. His idea of servicing a customer is still pretty much jerking himself off to a porn video while the customer watches. Just out of curiosity, I also asked him how much it would take to f*ck him. He said, he would consider bottoming, and since this is his first time, to "take his flower" or to "pop his cherry" (or whatever expressions you think would fit), a customer needs to pay 50.000 bath. To be fair, in Vietnam, virginity traditionally matters a lot and wealthy businessmen have been known to pay many times of that amount to deflower a girl, believing doing so would bring them good luck. Anyway, the boy in question, in stark contrast with the Myanmar boy, slept with girls before he reached 18 (the consent age in Vietnam is 16) and already got a new Viet girlfriend who's only 17 right here in Bangkok, barely five days after he arrived, so I think the matter of virginity is not really relevant here. 7. Finally, some funny tidbits. I agreed with some other members' observations: New Twilight white-wearing waiters are generally cuter and also more gay than their floor boys. Because @jason1975 got a regular working as waiter in the bar and he made it clear that his friends stay away from his man, I have to be sure. When I came in, my first question to a cute waiter who greeted me was "Who's Jason's man?" (so that I can stay away from him) "Everyone else, but me" came back the answer. Sorry this is totally made-up. I just wanted to pull Jason's proverbial leg. The fucking show in Fresh Boy that night had to stop midway, I guess because the top can't keep it hard. So they went backstage and the audience was asked to watch a cabaret performance while the boys got themselves ready again (I don't know how). The Viet boy sitting with me gave his kudos to the top - who he saw, during his five days working in Fresh Boy, perform every night, three different shows each day, all requiring a sustained hard-on (first a jerk-off solo on a couch, then the big cock show, finally the fucking show). Should I start a blue pill donation campaign to help him out? I'm sure many members here have one or two to spare. (to be continued)

  16. Day 0: Brazil on my mind, even in Thailand Needless to say that I have changed some personal information of certain individuals mentioned, due to some weird stalkers in this site. So Brazil had me for itself for a better part of a year and a half during the pandemic. And when you get to know a place for that long on a regular basis, you tend to get to settle on what works for you best, after the initial novelty wears off. After running wild through the famous saunas of Brazil, I’ve actually grown tired of it all, believe it or not. Don’t get me wrong, sex with a variety of beautiful guys will always be on the table for me, but during this time, working remotely in Brazil had me looking for something more substantial, after getting tired of the run-of-the-mill sauna-show-cabine-programa routine. Because of the dire economic circumstances the pandemic has left some of the less fortunate of us, you can find that even more boys are available than usual. Most of them are after money, of course, but I have found that a few of them needed something else. I’ve certainly have met a few very interesting guys, who would not sell themselves in a Brazilian sauna, nor expose themselves in escort websites, but would like to earn a few dollars from you. I found these guys mostly from referrals from other boys, and they appreciate the discretion you give them, not being found out by familiars in saunas or websites, and they will pretty much do anything for you. And then there are those, when I tell them I am going to Europe or Dubai for some work or vacation for a few weeks, ask for just a one-way ticket to the place in question, and they will be more than willing (thrilled in fact) to accompany you during your stay, free of charge (you pay for incidentals of course), and when its time for me to go, they opt to stay in Barcelona or Paris or Dubai or London, where they try to earn the money they were after in the first place (by usually escorting). I am probably responsible for a (not) significant amount of Brazilians ending up in Europe or the Middle East, using this method. And then there’s this Brazilian guy who wanted to Thailand. Let’s call him Tiago. He is 28, European facial features, always bronzed skin, and let’s just say he is from the south of the country. Beautiful, of course, with a MMA fighter's body. Oddly enough, I met him at a Smart Fit Gym in Sao Paulo. He was a personal trainer there, and a working boy introduced me to him in one my visits to his gym. He didn’t work at the sauna in Sao Paulo, nor did he sell himself in the websites. He did, however, belong to a Jiu Jitsu team in Sao Paulo, and did personal training on the side to pay the bills. He has done some MMA fights (20+), but wanted to train in Muay Thai, in Thailand, to expand his resume. He intended to stay for 6 months in Thailand, and has saved up enough for the gym fees and accommodation in his chosen Muay Thai school. What he didn’t have was the airfare to get to Thailand. There has always been a Thailand-Brazil connection I wasn’t aware about till this trip. So during the next few months we talked about it that possibility, in between some dates and gym training with him, of course. Throughout all that he didn’t ask me for any tips during my time with him in Brazil, I guess to sell me the idea that he is trustworthy and worthy of the cost of an air ticket. So when I told him in April that I was thinking about going to Thailand, after a trip to the Middle East, he said that was perfect timing, because that would get him back to Brazil in December, in time for Christmas and the Holidays. He even made himself available for the two weeks before to accompany me with some business in Doha and Dubai, before heading over to Thailand. I told him I’d go the extra mile and take him personally to his Muay Thai gym, which was not in Bangkok, but was a plane ride away. He was excited, and so was I. I was as curious to get to know more about this side of his life, as he was about going. I took him for a test run to a nearby country just to see if we were gonna be good travel buddies. He passed with flying colors. So in the next few weeks we try to get our requirements ready for Thailand. As we were entering Bangkok in mid-June, we didn’t have to do a COVID test to get to enter Thailand, but we still needed to complete the Thai Pass, which was easy enough since we were both vaxxed and boostered and he was able to get official documents and QR codes from the Brazilian health authority after some expected red tape. We still needed COVID tests to get into Qatar, and to complete their version of Thai Pass (Ehteraz), but that was easy to do as well, with my help. I guess after going through all this for almost two years, a few more QR codes was just easy-peasy for me to complete. Two weeks in the Middle East with Tiago was a blast. He was game for a lot of my shenanigans, kept fit in the hotel gyms while I was working, and on my free times, he devoured all the tours and walking that was needed to explore the rich wonders of the area. He was even open to certain sexual exploration if he thought it would be fun to join in, and left me alone if he knew I wanted some alone time. Through it all those two weeks just flew by, and pretty soon it was time to go to Thailand. We were in Dubai to catch our Qatar Airways flight to Bangkok via Doha. I decided to cash-in some Avios points from my British Airways account and buy us Business Class tickets, which was a just a surprisingly cheap 40k each from Dubai to Bangkok. Since our flight was at 5:30 AM, we decided to not sleep the night before and just enjoy Dubai nightlife. After an interesting encounter with some gay Emiratis hanging out at a Starbucks in the JBR district in Dubai, we were on our way to the airport at 3 AM. At the check-in counter, the nice Qatar Airways lady didn’t even check our Thai passes or COVID vaccination cards or any of his documentation. She was flirty and had some tips for Thailand, since she’s been there once. We played along, and got our tickets eventually, if we were cutting it close to boarding time. She ended with bidding us good luck, and she was sure we will have a great time, since we were men. Not sure what that meant but we ended that convo. We were actually the last ones to check in. And the last ones to board. Still, Qatar Airways is famous for its top notch in-flight service, so we were pampered all throughout. I am always amazed by their first class service on one-hour flights. They are still able to get us 3 drinks and some yummy breakfast even with the very short (40-minute) flight from Dubai to Doha: Doha airport on a Sunday was a madhouse. The place was packed. And there were almost no places to sit at the Biz class lounge but we managed. This was indeed a sign the time of COVID restricted travel was over. There was still mask wearing in the airport but that was the only apparent thing I can see that was COVID-related. Since we were super tired from not sleeping the night before, we slept the whole 6 hour and half plane ride from Doha to Bangkok. We got woken up by the flight attendant to say that we had to unrecline our seats for the initial plane descent. Still, five stars to Qatar Airways, we were still served a full dinner while we were descending, since we missed all the in-flight service. As we landed, I got a bit of goosebumps and got excited. I was too tired to actually think about it before, but it just dawned on me now that I was going to be in Thailand after 2 and half years of being away. I started going to Thailand in 2014, and after a few years, the novelty has worn off. But after being away for that long I think the distance was all I needed to recharge my longing for Thailand once again. Tiago, of course, was beside himself. He was super excited to start his life in his new home. Once we were our of the plance we raced to immigration. All this was still super familiar to me, the walk to the immigration desks. We eventually got to the intermediary desks, the Thai Pass station: It was painless, they just needed to see the QR code, passports and COVID vaccine card. They attached stickers to our shirts saying we passed Thai pass and we were on our way to immigration. Since Tiago’s English was not that good, I knew I had to help him with this process (as I did in Doha and Dubai). At the immigration desk, I got my usual 30-day stamp. When it was Tiago’s turn, the immigration officer confirmed if the dates in the immigration card were correct. I said yes, so Tiago got his 90-day stamp. No other documentation was asked. Not the letters of invitation Tiago has from his Muay Thai gym, not our COVID vaccinations, not his yellow fever vaccine he got because that was requirement by the Thai government. Figures. And I always wondered, why people from the USA or UK or some other rich country can only get 30 day tourist stays in Thailand at a time, while Brazilians and Colombians, among others, can get 90 days? After getting our luggage, I immediately get 20,000 baht from the ATM. Then, as a favor, I immediately got Tiago a Thai SIM card from dtac for 90 days, which cost 1100 baht. I didn’t need one since I got Google Fi cell service. I then swiftly guide us to the ground floor to the taxi line, got a taxi ticket from the thingie, found our taxi number and taxi stand, flashed our AirBNB’s address and directions, in Thai, to our driver, and we were on our way, for a 40 minute ride to Silom. Along the way, Tiago commented on how efficient I was with getting things done at the airport. I told him that Thailand was a very familiar place to me, and I still knew how things were done even after years away. Since Tiago was Brazilian and naturally warm, he immediately tried to talk to the driver, who obliged with Tiago’s broken English and answered with some broken English of his own. Noone understood anyone though, since the accents were unfamiliar to each other, even if both were speaking English. Except to me of course, I was used to hearing both accents, so I was there to pretty much smoothen out the conversation. It was pretty entertaining, and pretty soon we arrived at the AirBNB. I chose to stay at an AirBNB for our Bangkok stay, after staying in hotels for two weeks in Doha and Dubai. An AirBNB will afford us many creature comforts that hotels won’t have, like a washer and dryer in the unit (two weeks in the middle east meant we needed clean clothes), two bedrooms for cheap (more on this later), and some basic kitchen stuff if we needed to make something. Also, it’ll give Tiago a glimpse of Thai domestic life that he will be living in pretty soon, something that is not apparent in the insular confines of, say, the Crowne Plaza Lumpini Park, even if I love that hotel sooooo much. It was 9:20 PM by the time we got to the apartment. I knew I wanted to at least check out a boy bar or two, even if we were both tired, so we had to hurry. And Tiago was hungry. So to save time, we showered together (hot water in the unit worked!), and prepared for the night ahead. Since it was raining, I decided to get us a Grab Taxi (which I downloaded on my phone on the way to the apartment), and set up our destination to the first restaurant I thought of that served food really quickly: Happy Beer Garden. As we get off the taxi and before we go in to eat, I look across the street: The end of Soi Twilight, and the beginning of something else. I remember that I when I used to eat at Happy Beer Garden, when it was around 8 or 9 PM, and I’d hear boys shouting at me from across the street, sitting in bars that don’t exist anymore, enticing us to join in the fun once I was done with dinner. Those were amazing times. I wonder if those time will ever come back. Probably not, as Soi Twilight was not coming back. Time to make me new memories. Next post, guess which bar we went to first?

  17. When entering Israel, all passengers get tested in TLV airport upon arrival and must quarantine until they get their results. That is perfect time for me to start writing. Intro – 8th trip report (and 8th visit) to my favorite city in the world. 37yo Israeli. Last trip was for the White Party of New Year’s Eve 2020 with my husband. I remember that before we flew to BKK on the end of Dec 2019, reports were starting to come about some virus in China. I couldn’t imagine back then that this virus will make me separate from BKK for such a long time. More than 2 years and 4 Pfizer vaccines later I booked this solo long weekend, to see if even after Covid changed a lot in the world, the BKK magic is still there. And it is still there 😊 Bureaucracy – Once I booked my first night directly (Grand Hyatt Erawan) and got the authorization I submitted all documents online and Thai pass was approved in less than 24 hours. Since this trip was exactly 5 days, I did not need a second PCR. And also, they now dropped the second test anyways. I found the whole procedure friendly and fast. Flight – One of the unfortunate results of Covid is of course the chaos of booking flights. We used to have 3(!) TLV-BKK direct flights a day. Now we have once a week, and 3 times a week TLV-HKT (Phuket) -BKK. None of the direct options suited my very specific flight schedule requirements so I booked Turkish Airlines with an Istanbul connection (650 USD). This is a 14 hour journey with the main leg being over night which is exactly one of my firmest requirements of a flight to BKK. A couple of days before the flight, when the probability of me actually taking that flight was high, I found that business class fare declined dramatically so I upgraded (Additional 1600 USD). The TLV-IST leg in both directions was a full flight and the IST-BKK flight was half full in both directions. Flights were great, slept great and woke up refreshed. Suvarnabhumi was kind of empty and I was out in no time. Hotel – Grand Hyatt Erawan (9400 THB test & go package with fast PCR) – Not my preferred location. Hotel lacks character but they did supply the only thing that I really wanted them to – a really fast PCR result. On my way to the hotel, we stopped by Medpark Hospital for a drive thru test – 16:18 was the swab time. At 17:41 the phone rang with the negative results. They did what they promised they would and that was great. They were also very generous with a 4PM checkout time to match my next hotel check in. Breakfast was OK. After that I went for a stroll in Silom. Soi 4 seemed pleasantly crowded. Some places closed; others opened instead. All and all, I was surprised to see a lively scene, not far from the way it used to be. I enjoyed my walking thru the different streets and venues and waited for 22:30 for the show at Tawan to start. Tawan was a sad place that Thursday night. As some photos here show, it is forth of its original size – and the stage has almost no accessories or decorations. Actually, that night there was not even a show, just 4 guys going up and down the stage for an audience of 3 people. Guys on stage are not my type, some are off season, some are in no season, but as Vinapu said – it only takes one guy. And that guy was there – I think his name was Nut but I’m not sure. A Lean bodybuilder classic type. I didn’t want to leave Silom as I wanted to party later that night so it was coinvent that they offered a room. 2800 THB later (500 off, 300 room, 2K for the guy) and we were at their room which was descent enough for the muscle worship session I wanted. He supplied it to the max and I left there very happy for myself but sad for that establishment. I do think/hope that they will improve as more and more tourists come. After that went to DJ station, which was not full as it used to be but also not empty. Music there is still shit 😊. GOD was closed that night which disappointed me but I knew it would open for the weekend so I called it a night. Will continue soon.

  18. I guess now it’s time for usual day to day update of my trip. Some repeats will be necessary as I’m too lazy to spend much time polishing text so bear with me. Short lived ‘Test and go “ scheme served me very well and we hope it will be re-instated soon but trip was not only matter of luck but also utilizing it. Long ago I decided that as long as quarantine will be eliminated or shortened to max 2 days I jump into plane ASAP. So when it happened it took me only few hours to complete documents , do the bookings of planes , hotels and tests. I may try to repeat the feast if scheme will return even if for shorter period of time. First few months of year are not really me travelling time as greed prevails due to much increased opportunities to earn some spending cash. For quarantine hotel I had chosen Centre Point Riverview Silom and looking back it was wise decision. Knowing I will be locked I was looking for big room with balcony and a view. They had it all with Executive Suite, as it turned out complete with washing machine and microwave. Location steps from BTS SaphanTaksin proved beneficial when I was released about hour before bars are closing / 11 pm now/ . It was costly at about 5200 baht but not when one considers that I paid 4600 baht for pre-departure test at home so for me it looked like for 600 baht I had transport from airport, spacious room and 3 meals a day. Nice gesture was to allow me to check in early ,even if my plane arrived at 6 am , I was advised when asked that booking should be done for 1 night only As noted before arrival was very smooth, documents checked before lining up for immigration, taxi from hotel was handily waiting and it did not take much more than hour from landing to be already in the hotel to start solitary confinement of my: Day 1 On admission I asked to skip today’s breakfast as I was well fed by Swiss and opted for next day breakfast instead. Waiting to be called for test I despoiled after long trip, did some laundry ( I travel light so usually my first thing in hotel when travel is to wash my shirt and undergarments ) drying which was easy as washroom was equipped with laundry line. In Swampy I bought SIM card so installed Grindr and Romeo in addition to already installed Hornet and to kill time combed through offerings there. At 10.30 knock to door from the staff inviting me to go to the testing area on the roof. I was told results will arrive up to next morning. Tasty lunch delivered around noon, then I fell to jet lag and slept till 6 when another knock waked me up announcing equally tasty dinner. It was 9.55 p.m. when I got a call from reception that results are in and I’m free man again. 10 minutes later I was already on the Saphan Taksin platform and soon after , after 2 years of absence I was pounding pavements of my beloved Silom again. Since it was Sunday evening and in pandemic time it was rater quiet and in one of massage shops I noticed very handsome masseur playing with cat. Perhaps I should stop there but fate dragged me to soi 4 which is kind of sarcasm as I never really liked it. But now with Jupiter , only one of three bars opened others being Dreamboys and Fresh Boys there was no place to be picky. Beer at Jupiter was cheap at 150 which lasted till before Christmas and now is at more “normal” 400 so I got mine and noticed few guys drinking beside , one of them familiar face of one of Moonlight’ s go-gos I never offed but tipped few times for a good looks. Smile and signalized my interest but he gestured that he is with that company. Did not worry me as it was first out if 25 nights but fate had it , shortly after they all left he returned with knowing smile. It turned out he in not Jupiter guy , just visiting his friends there to have a drink, is willing to check my stamp collection. So I paid off fee of 500 and we went. No not to Centre Point but to Furama Silom as when booking originally I was not sure what will happen with my early check in and took advantage of cheap rates those days , booked 1 night at Furama just in case. Not a long walk and soon we were there. Reception asked for 1000 baht deposit, gave us a key and up we went to have our fun, short time one for which I was asked to fork 3000. How it came to it ? walking I asked about long time , 3000, answer was 3000 is for a short time. After 2 years I was in no mood to haggle. Fun we had and he is nice and very well built man but also resolve came that we met twice – first and last at the same time. No repeat as Christian PFC use to say . When he left , soon did I collecting my deposit left 3 hrs ago and walked all the way to Centre Point past 2 at night through completely empty streets with rats being busy here and there but no soul in sight. And I thought “ where in the world on his 1st day tourist can walk at almost 3 am through empty street in the middle of 10 million strange city and feel completely safe and relaxed “ ? Try that in Paris, London, Rio , Nairobi or even Flint , Michigan. Long live Bangkok , long live Thailand. Slept without A/c , with open windows, just like summer at home. And that’s how I finished day 1.

    Trip report

Post 2 - Bangkok report My trip was broken into 5/6 days staying in each of Bangkok - Phuket - Pattaya - Phuket - Bangkok. As explained in the previous post I'll give a report of each location rather than a chronological order of the trip, so this post will be about my Bangkok experiences. Daytime activities During the day I like to do a lot of walking. General plan is there is no plan. Went exploring and got lost, have a coffee, move on see where the wind takes me. I couldn't access lumphini park, the entrances I found were all closed but I saw people in there so there must have an entrance I couldn't find. Visited the Ari area, the riverside area and took 2 boat trips. To enter the malls had to scan temperature each time. Generally each day ended up with a massage from one of the establishments on either the surawong or silom roads. I didnt get to any of the more upmarket gay massage places this time, mainly through being otherwise occupied rather than choice. Bars/Nightlife I should point out that food was available in all the establishments I visited. The place to be was Silom Soi 4. The place was buzzing, even on week nights. When I visited at the weekend I couldn't get a seat either at the new Circus bar or Balcony bar so ventured on those nights to a quieter cozy bar at the end of the soi where I got a seat (and happily chatted to some handsome waiters). The Circus bar seemed to be in the in place to be and when meeting up with some local guys this was the bar of choice where they would like to meet for a drink. I frequented the Pride bar (seemed to be more local Thai oriented - maybe because of the live singer - but just my impression) and visited Connections bar where I was warmly welcomed by the Australian owner and his boyfriend. In my first Bangkok stint I mainly frequented Balcony, Circus and Connections but I'd have no hesitation in supporting any of the bars on this soi and would be happy drinking in them all. Closing time most nights was either 11pm or 12 pm and earlier in the trip on some days alcohol could not be purchased after 9pm or 10pm. I don't know what rules are/were, and would simply follow the flow and directions of the staff. Soi 2 - I visited the DJ station complex a couple of times and the bar opposite as it had opened up during my visit. There were times where I was the only foreigner there and I didn't get to chat to anyone. I still enjoyed visiting though. I think they closed at midnight. Patpong area - This was very quiet and dark. There was one gogo bar open and this changed to three on my return. I did visit one of the gogo bars open (full street clothes only) which I won't name because I didn't enjoy the experience. The tout told me a drink was 250 bht only to be given a bill for 450 bht. I'm not tight, but that left a sour taste so I finished my drink, payed my bill and didn't return. Maybe it was just some confusion. I hope that post covid this area can get back in full swing again. Jupiter 2018 - This turned out to be the highlight of my trip. It had opened up on my second visit. Unfortunately for the bar there were very few customers but fortunately for me it meant much more interaction with the staff. About 8-10 models each night with a rotating live singer and catwalk format for the evening. About 15 minutes each rotation. Drink price was 170 thb for a beer and no entry fee - expect this to change when the shows return. Because they were very welcoming and had reasonable drink prices I was happy to open up and spend. The mamasans/captains here are not pushy and I found them very friendly. I got acquainted with a few of the guys there strutting the catwalk where some of them were happy to come back to the hotel after the bar had closed on various evenings to discuss the climate crisis. Hotels I stayed in Trinity Silom (one night only), Crowne Plaza and Quarter Silom. Crowne Plaza without a doubt turned out to be the best value for money for me and I enjoyed staying here. It was very cheap at average price of about 1400 thb through the Agoda app. For my stay at Quarter Silom Soi 6 and paid an average of 750thb. In normal times I would stay at the quarter again, but, for a brand new hotel I was surprised at a couple of things. Firstly the bathroom and part of the room flooded when taking a shower (could be avoided if holding the shower head and carefully angling away), only two bath towels provided (not hand towels) and a lack of storage space. For a city centre hotel I would stay here again but in my opinion there are much better value options during the present time with many good quality hotels heavily discounted (purely my opinion of course and we are all different and I guess my view was tainted as i had been spoiled with high end hotels in other parts of the trip). Restaurants Many options in Silom Soi 4 but don't expect anything fancy. I had good meals in Gs, Pride and Balcony. I also visited some more upmarket restaurants and was taken to a fancy Italian restaurant on Witthaya Road (can't remember all the names sorry...) Two restaurants visited on Sukhumvit soi 11 - Hemingway's for Sunday lunch (nice roast) and Oskar for dinner. Guys Ive already mentioned my acquaintances at Jupiter. Everything else was via the apps. When I first arrived was bombarded with many offers from mostly Cambodian guys looking for some tips and got to know a few of them. What did surprise me was how many local and other expat asian guys there were interested in meeting up for free. It just needed a little patience and spectrum ranged from 21 year old twinky students to 35 year old very handsome muscle guys which wouldn't look out of place at some of the model bars and a few older gents too. Would you believe I even had one very attractive 25 hiso guy take me out to dinner picking me up in his BMW!! I couldn't believe my luck - he was just sexually attracted to older white guys. Back to our friends looking for some support I noticed more isaan boys on the apps for the second Bangkok stint where I became acquainted with a few of them - hopefully a sign many are starting to return back to the cities. Transport Mainly walking. I used the BTS and when needing to take a taxi I used the bolt app. The bolt app ended up being the best and cheapest taxi app. Overall, with the exception of Patpong being closed, and with some adjustment elsewhere there was much on offer in Bangkok.

  20. Part 2: First night in the bars... After a quick bite in Central Silom Complex I went for a walk. Clearly it was still too early to hit the bars. Soi4 was empty, apart from some people having dinner. Patpong same story. Empty. I did a quick check on what bars opened up after covid in Patpong2. I can confirm these are all still closed. And no signs suggest it will open soon. Maybe that will have changed end of this month, when I'm back in bangkok also again for a few night. Will see. I walked around to Patpong1. Where the night market used to be. So strange to see this street so empty and dark now. But everywhere it was quiet; also on Silom Road and Surawong Road. This area used to be so lively and buzzing before covid19. When I returned to Patpong 2 around 10pm, it looked like still not much going on. Apart from the patio of Dreamboy: a lot of shirtless boys were hanging around there. All way too busy on their phones to notice me walking by. On the other side of the soi, a tout tried to talk me into Freshboys. And as I set myself a goal on checking as much of the gogo bars as possible, I went in. The bar was packed. When I entered there were around 25 customers. At the beginning of the show (that started around 10:15pm) more guests came in. Till around 35 guests where seated around the stage. I counted only 5 girls, the rest was a good and balance mix of younger Asians and older farangs... The mamasan was fun, lively and not pushy at all. Same for the waiting staff. I've read other trip reports about airco freezing your tits off. That was not the case here tonight. Nice temperature. And also the music was not too loud to my opinion. Could still talk to mamasan en waiters. The wodka-coke costed me 400 baht. Many boys on stage. Must have been around 25 available guys. In all shapes, forms and sizes. Most guys had no or just only small tattoos. Only few boys had massive artwork on their bodies. In general I found the guys on the hunky (slightly muscular) side rather than the twinkly (very slim) side. But as I said, there were boys for every taste available... All wearing white (wide) sport shorts. So no tight underwear. There was one boy with a very intriguing tattoo of antlers on his lower abdomen. They disappeared under his shorts. Was curious to see till where this tattoo went. I was told this boy is gay and "can do everything". So it might be interesting to go back for him another night. The kind of antlers tattoo I'm talking about. But on this internet picture on another part of the male body... The show itself was fun to watch. Kudos for the ladyboy/draq queen. She came back on stage 3 times during the show. In some glamorous outfits. She picked a few good songs, the lipsync was spot on. The special effect at one of the show where spectaculair. She was wearing gloves that actually where on fire. The only little down aide was that she had no background dancers as eye candy. When I left Freshboys she was outside on the balcony so I complemented her with her performances and have 100baht tip. She told me tomorrow she is celebrating her birthday in Freshboys and invited me to come again. Will see what tomorrow brings. After 5 acts, the show paused for around 10 minutes for a boy parade. After that the show continued with more acts. Gogo dancers, candle wax being poured over an oiled up body, a solo act with a good looking guy groping himself and jerking off (without cumming in the end), two guys playing with soap in the shower (including some deep sucking)... It was all there. The big cock parade including the cock-slapping-against-the-pole... And begging for tips at the customers. So fun to see that when a customers gives one of the boys a tip, all other boys quickly gather around the poor customer all asking to also get money... Like bees on honey I would say... Its less fun watching it now I know this. Instead of staring at their cocks I was only looking at their knees. And indeed that's how the sound of impact is made... Of course it ended with a fuck show. With the boys still being connected to each other making a round through the public. There were going to be more acts afyer another break but it was time for me to move to Dreamboy. Another wodka-coke, but this one cost me 450 baht. The midnight show was about to start but I was on time to still have a good look at the boys on offer parading on stage before the show. I can confirm what has been written in earlier trip reports by others (see quote below): the boys here are in general a bit older, have a "rougher" look and quite a few look like they put one a few extra pounds during the covid lockdown. Dreamboy does have a lot of boys on stage (this evening when I was there around 25 and I was told there had been some offs already as I came in just before midnight), but just a few could meet "my standards". But than again, maybe all the in-shape hotties already went to a hotel room with a customer as I arrived a bit late. I counted around 12 guests, with just 2 girls there to watch the show. The show was disappointing. The boys doing the acts where in my opinion not the most pretty ones. Same for their ladyboys/draq queens. When one of them came off the stage to come close to me doing her lipsyncing, I could see her pockmarked face that even a thick layer of make up could not hide. Sorry to say this so directly. But it has to be an honest report with my opinion... Also the songchoice did not help. Where the briljant ladyboy/draqqueen at Freshboys used some showstopping up tempo medleys, in Dreamboy they choose slow diva songs. Before I knew it, it was time for the famous acrobatic fuckshow. I was close to 1am and Dreamboy was about to close. Decided not to off anybody. As I said I was disappointed by the boys on offer tonight. Must say Dreamboy did better for me before covid19. While Freshboys tonight was really good. But off course it's all about what you're looking for and what your individual taste of boys is... Because by now everything was closed already, I couldn't go to another place for a last-minute off. So... I think I have to make up for this tomorrow... But that's for a next report. Hope this was detailed enough for a good report? 😜

  21. Ok, now after the amazing night and long sleep I finally dragged myself from the comfort of the bed and down to meet my ride to Pattaya. As usual, I booked Nam's taxi the day before and my driver was waiting for me just before our scheduled time. 1200 baht and a 2-hour drive from my Bangkok hotel to East Suites. Pattaya I had already arranged my first rendezvous from Bangkok on Grindr, so when I arrived I had a quick shower and was deep in warm embrace within my first hour of being in Pattaya, off to a very good start! After a while of relaxing as night was falling, I decided to go for a walk around Jomtien Complex. Wow! it is very busy compared to April, I wouldn't say as busy as Songkran customer-wise, but definitely more guys/staff. It looks a lot less dreary with all of the lights on, and some new bars have popped up around the sois. I decided to step into a Bu Bu bar, I didn't remember being there next to Dick's Cafe in April, but they had menus out the front and some nice welcoming staff. So I'll stop in for food and a drink, it turned out the menus were from the small restaurants across the soi. I went for the Thai menu made by Sofia's Thai, oh boy it was delicious! This Chicken Cashew was hands down the best I've had. I went back another night and tried some more dishes, it was consistently great food. I found Bu Bu was a good place to sit and order from, giving a good view of the edge of Soda Massage and the comings and goings of the guys headed to work in the bars. As for the massage shops in the complex. There's the small shop (I can't recall the name) on the Thappraya side of Dick's Cafe, only 2-4 staff, but they looked more muscular and suspect better at actual massage. Soda Massage has a bright new sign above it, hard to count numbers but I think around 15+ staff, a mix of twinks and twunks. Then the massage around the corner toward Agate (again, can't remember the name), around 10-15 guys mixed twinks, twunks, hunks. Some very hot guys here as well. The Jomtien Complex bars between them had a LOOOOT of guys, I won't try to give estimates but I'd say something for everyone can be found there. Closing time is around 1-2am, then just as during April the party moves down to the beach where groups will sit around with drinks and food until the early hours. Well, I'm back in Pattaya and I know there's a little gogo bar over in Sunee screaming my name, so at around 9pm I head over to Winner. 60baht and 5 minutes by motosai I'm headed down the darkened Sunee plaza with the shining lights and usual squeals of the boys from Winner filling the air. My happy place. Now I won't sugar coat it too much, Winner has been struggling through covid. I often sat and talked with the owner at length in April and this trip about life and the bar, he's an absolute gem in my eyes, he cares for the staff and they care for him. However, there's a problem.. he is in a bit of a catch-22 situation, trying to keep enough staff to meet the customer demand without bleeding salary money in the quiet months after such a long time of having to keep the doors open with savings. Current guys in the bar is around 6-8, and they are all fantastic friendly cute guys (in white little speedos), but if it's a busy night and guys are being off'd it can be slim pickings. Get there early at 8-9 pm if you want to have the best shot at seeing all of them there. They don't tend to stand around on the podiums too long, they will mingle with the customers and run around the soi half naked to the food carts, so if you pop your head in and see an empty stage don't fret. I spent most nights at Winner this trip, drinking and joking around with the guys, they're just good fun. The drink prices are cheap and no one is ever pushy, so I was content. I did have 3-4 of the guys in my sights, but I only ended up with 2 and repeating the second for a couple of nights. I didn't make it to Boyztown at night, but when I did pass through on one early afternoon it looked a lot better. Ambiance is open again by the look of it, and all of the bars were setting up chairs out the front. Next trip I will dive back into BT and see what I can find in Toy Boys and the rest of this area. Time just wasn't on my side this trip. I had daily massages at Soda Massage and the occasional Grindr meetup, performance was good on all accounts, not a single dud this time in Pattaya. I'm reluctant to discuss this much, but I'll mention it. With the new laws regarding the decriminalization of the green flower, I decided to have a look at the offerings. I found the best shop was a dispensary one soi over from Sunee toward Tuckom called World Wide Weed (WWW), big selection and a friendly owner. I read some bad reviews about the shop(s) on walking street, maybe be cautious with them. If you do partake there are some rules to remember, they can't sell prerolled but they have papers and anything else you need. You cannot smoke in public or in bars, it is a 25k baht fine if you smoke it on the beach, but your hotel balcony is ok or the dispensary has a dedicated space to sample your purchase. 750baht/g for most of the selection, allegedly the quality is very good. I'm slowly trying every hotel in the Jomtien Complex, this time it was East Suites turn. The master room was very spacious, the price was really good, but no elevator, there was some noise pollution from the bars until 1 or 2 am, and I had to chase around a cockroach one night. Agate is still winning in my current standings, but Zing Resort is possibly next on my list to try. TT money exchange down Thappraya towards the beach still has the best exchange rates in the area, comparable to the airport basement. I think that's about all, I took Nam's taxi back to Swampy and check-in was fine but my flights were packed full again. A successful week that felt a lot longer., thanks for reading.

    First time Pattaya

not sure what it is supposed to mean 'bit trashy" but whatever it is, nothing to be apprehensive about. Boys are as nice as BKK ones, prices of drinks, off fees , massages and expected tips are lower indeed. If you are looking for twinks you will find galore of them in Jomtien Complex as well as Winners and whatever was left from Sunee Plaza glory. Nice Boys staff may be a bit on rough side but in positive sense of it - less inhibited I'd say. For more meatier guys head to Boyztown, BBB and Dreamboys will be your destination there. If you bored during day, trip to Koh Larn ( with boy or three in tow), Sanctuary of Truth and Noong Noch (spelling? ) Tropical Gardens and Big Buddha on top of the hill at the center are you daytime distractions. Central Festival and Terminal 21 are malls to visit if you re shopper. Lots of restaurants so you won't starve, if you like street food , you will find plenty of it between Wat Chai and Tukcom. Baht bus is 10 baht and motorsai between Jomtien and the center will be 60-100 depending on driver , time of day, your negotiating skills, how you dressed and phase of moon. If you arrive by Airport bus ( recommended), terminal is walking distance of 6 minutes 37 seconds from Jomtien Complex, if by bus from Ekkamai bus station to North Pattaya Bus Station , it will be 50--100 by songtawew (baht bus) or motorsai to Boyztown, unless you stop songtaew on the main street, that it will be 2 times 10 baht as you must change at Delphin roundabout. As for hotels, in Boytzown Classroom (more quiet) , just above ABomb boy bar or in Boyztown proper Copa or Ambiance are your choices, all gust friendly like 127.43% of Pattaya hotels. In Jomtien complex Zing Resort or The Venue are cheaper choices, Agate , East Suites and Poseidon are more for affluent types like you.

  23. Final notes. Travelling in covid time is nerve wrecking due to multitude of regulations , not coordinated from country to country and from airline to airline but at end of day it proved doable. I’m glad I stick to my plan of jumping on earliest occasion as soon as quarantine will be cancelled. This did not happen but “Test and Go ‘ option seemed reasonable so when I learned it’s available it was no brainer to gather paperwork and apply. My Thai Pass came in exactly 7 days, 2 weeks later I was on my way. Mandatory tests and insurance raised prices but on another hand very good deals on accommodation mitigated that expense. I doubt in future I will be able to sleep in hotels and rooms I was utilizing this trip. Me and Crowne Plaza ? even few forum friends were surprised. I liked it even if really I don’t need fancy accommodations but if price is right, why not ?. Doom and gloom of some on forums proved exaggeration. Yes, bars were closed as well as many massager places but what was opened was good enough to keep me occupied and spending whenever I wanted. Line and apps helped. It was actually first time ever I used apps. Can’t say it was very successful but with more practice and more experience navigation of them may be more fruitful. One thing is sure , few guys I met had their profiles on apps and I must say almost universally I wouldn’t take them if I only saw them there. N, Ah-Poo, V, Soviet they all looked better in flesh. It’s why I like massages and bars better and always will because I can see real thing. I doubt you read those long reports with much attention to details but if you did you could notice one notable absence – covid itself. In those 25 days it was never really on my radar. Yes I wore mask like whole Thailand. If I spot 30 people without mask on the street in those 25 days , that’s it . I thought it will be annoying in that heat but actually was unnoticeably bearable. I have more problem at home in winter with constant fogging of my glasses . Wherever they measured temperature I placed my hand too but it was all like ritual, not a preventive measure. No restaurant bothered to check vaccination certificate and Zing was only hotel which asked for it. Accidentally it was also only hotel which asked my guest for ID. No problems with visitors I the room but dearth of foreign visitors was visible plainly and everywhere. Phor Liang Meun and Crowne Plaza were only hotels where there was some kind of crowd but even there ‘crowd’ was exaggeration. Thais now have country to themselves for good and bad . Unfortunately mostly bad. Closed and quiet Walking Street , Boyztown or Patpong are shocking views indeed. Even Silom , Suriwong and Sukhumvit are far from themselves in more normal times so economic devastation must be enormous. Foodland Patpong in lunch time was sometimes plain empty , so were malls and area around Grand Palace. Not even once I saw crowded BTS train. Those were things which I should enjoy but in fact made me sad as I was thinking about all those people who lost their earnings or had them greatly reduced. But boys are holding up . I never really heard complains , from time to time they ritually mentioned lack of customers but somehow managed to find other jobs, never before I heard from so many guys that they work also somewhere else. I did not notice notable reduction on tip expectations, neither bars reduced their prices with notable exception of Jupiter but even them raised prices for Christmas and New Year period. What was easier was to find guys willing to do long time, that may be positive covid effect but also possibly just my good luck or coincidence. I have pleasure to meet few forum member past and present,10tazione, Z909, Gaybutton , Aussie_, Newscene, ChristianPFC, 18past49, Anddy . Thank you for your time, in few cases introducing me to their friends and in impossible to underestimate case of 18past19 - leaving me few leads to guys he could issue personal recommendation for like V and above all X. Few people asked me which guy I liked the most. Hard question. S, the smartphone guy definitely sensed the best what makes me happy, N was crown of Pattaya stay and 5 nights with him were most passionate and steamy, T, T2 and X were three best built and for me , fond of manly muscular guys they were exactly made of my dreams. T was most offed by far and organized two memorable parties in his shop but failed to keep his promise on 2 occasions, T2 was most clingy out those three heroes of my dreams, muscles and not only were made of steel but was shorter than me , cooling factor in my book. X was hunk made of dreams and muscles , I had best conversation with him and service wise he was most professional knowing exactly what he is there for but also most costly but I knew what I’m getting into in this respect. And there were few guys I met only once who warranted multiple offs – sexy and talkative Soviet, funny and even more talkative M and quiet, manly but clingy V. Hard choice indeed so I need to go with one more trait – personality and here ranking become more clear so gold medal in competition ‘ Guy of the trip “ goes to X , silver to V and bronze to N. If you surprised take comfort that my ranking surprised me too. Regrets: I should go to Jey Spa more often, threw one more party at Sabaidee , off Gap , twink from Dreamboys from my 2nd night once more and try to off that very straight looking handsome guy from Jupiter. But with nobody to blame for those failures I just register them for curious. One of forum friends also noticed that I did not off at all guys known from previous trips. That’s correct with notable exception of Art in Pattaya. I don’t count Soviet as repeat since he did not recall me and I did not recall him until day or two after we met. No, it was not by design, it just happened, I just swim with the flow . When comes to hotels I don’t have a bad word against any of 11 or 12 I stay at , but I liked the best executive suite at Furama Sathorn, closest to normal flat. Of course for decoration Phor Liang Meun Teracotta Arts in Chiang Mai can’t be beaten. No idea when I will return, I hope it will be soon but until world will make it’s mind what to do with covid my advice , to myself and everybody else is to monitor situation closely and be ready to jump into any openings which will be created. I’m glad I did. thank you for all your 'likes" and contributions to this somewhat long thread

  24. As mentioned in my first post here, I'm a long-time follower of this forum (going back around 15 years, on and off) but rarely posted anything because from the great fountain of information you guys shared, I don't think I have anything new to add. Once I started sharing (just three weeks ago), I found that I do and should have done it many years ago Although Jason1975 says I should write trip reports, I'm not really up to a full report so I just share tidbits of my Thailand trips and occasionally take a chance to give you some info about Vietnam's scene too since I'm mainly based in Vietnam. I gonna start this tidbit thread with stories about a cheating mamasan in Toy Boys. This week, I came directly to Pattaya from the Bangkok airport (using Nam taxi, 1000B, they gave me detailed instructions of how to find the driver: Arrival Hall, walk outside and find Entrance No 3, then look for a car plated XXYY). Staying in AIYAREE PLACE just across street from Jomtien Complex (spacious room with a double and also a single bed, which I can use for massage, a separated space with room apparatus, arm chairs and table, perfect for working remotely, swimming pool and small gym, included breakfast buffet and also 400B hotel credit for lunch/dinner in the in-house restaurant with a pretty good selection of Western and Thai food, all of these for just 1100B/night, also no problem with guests to the room) Chatted with a boy on Blued for a massage deal. If I'm gonna meet a guy on app, I prefer if he can do massage and if I can just book for massage only first (in case the guy shows up and looks totally different from his picture). This guy seems professional with his itemized price list (shown in the picture). Some members may know him too (the one who keeps promoting his own laundry service all the time and I find it quite cute. He showed up, and just one look at him (small-built, slim fit, smooth skin, boyish look), I know I'm gonna follow up with some after-massage services. He's indeed professional, bringing everything (water-proof tarp, towel, a selection of massage oils, relaxing music, he just forgot candles hehe). He also speaks decent English (used to have some foreign boyfriends from China and Japan), so we chatted a lot during the session. It turns out he used to work in Toy Boys in Boyztown about 4 years ago. My first visit of the bar many years ago left quite a bad taste in my mouth. I was greeted by this mamasan, who is Chinese-Vietnamese and can speak Mandarin, Vietnamese, Thai and English. It felt so good to talk to someone in my mother tongue in a foreign bar, so I sought advice from him about everything. It was my last night in Pattaya and I liked 2 boys so decided (a first for me) to off both of them. Mamasan presented me with a handwritten bill including my drink, boy drinks, bar fines, boy's tips (1500 each) and also a charge for bar's short-time room (400 per boy). He told me he collected the boy's tips in advance just for safety and that even though I don't use the short time room at the bar, they still charge for it as a rule. I guess I was really naive at the time and probably trusted the bastard too much because he's Vietnamese too. To think that I even gave him a decent tip for all of his "troubles"! Only when I was back to my hotel and talked more with the boys who spoke rather limited English, I found out that the short-time charges were totally bullshit. If I didn't leave town the next day, I would come back to the bar and raise the issue with the management. The next time I set foot in the bar (6 months later), I simply ignored that mamasan who recognized me instantly, refusing to speak to him even for seating or bill paying (kinda passive-agressively you must think). I became friend with another mamasan from Cambodia and had no problems since then. So back to my massage, I asked Kiwi (the boy's nickname) why he quit, and he said he didn't like the working enviroment there and especially the mamasan, who cheated him out of his money so many times. Of course, it was the same guy. Turns out he cheated the customers and he cheated the boys too. Kiwi told me that many times that mamasan dealt with a customer (especially someone new to town) 2000 for ST and collected the money in advance but told the boy that the customer paid 1500 so the boy got back 1400 (minus his cut of 100). Kiwi said he never thought about asking the customers how much money they actually gave the mamasan. He only found out about this almost one year later, when a customer showed him a picture of the same handwritten bill I got, and funny enough, including the same bogus short-time room charge I had. Kiwi also said even though he gave the mamasan his standard 100 cut every time, that one still tried to steer customers away from him (because some other boys would give mamasan 200 or even 300 cut), like telling the customer who wants a bottom that Kiwi only tops (FYI he can do both but prefer bottom position), or even saying that you need to be careful because he's kinda bad boy etc. Kiwi, too, only found out about this through customer feedback, and his story brought back another bad memory. That night, when I pointed to one of the two boys I later offed, who was standing quietly like a church mouse in a corner, Mamasan did say that boy only goes with lady customers. But because he was totally my type, I waived him in and later found out he's gay and can bottom (another red flag I should've paid attention to but I was too excited to have my first threesome ever at that point). Back at the hotel, I asked him why Mamasan said he only goes with ladies, he said he didn't know and he never went with women customers before. Back again to my massage. Job done, I'm happy with the massage, after services and also the enlightening conversation we had, and gave him 2000 even though he only asked for 1500 tops. Also because of this, I decided to go to Boyztown that evening and visit Toy Boys again (I walked past them a couple of weeks ago and saw they just re-opened with that cheating mamasan standing at the door), just so I have a chance to blow him off again hehe. (to be continued)

  25. Sorry about the pieces but I'm using tablet which I hate. Despite of late arrival I was in talks with floridarob about meeting tonight, we never met before. He told me that he is waiting at Hotmale beer bar so after showering but unfortunately wearing the same shirt of day long flight I rushed there. Staff recognized me on approach and greeted with open arms and news " your friend is waiting for you". I noticed immediately elderly gentleman sitting by the bar so joined him with something like "finally after all those years, face behind the name", he looked bit confused with my cogeniality, said something polite and finally some of the staff pointed that other guy, mu h younger and better built is, one I, m supposed to greet. It was floridarob indeed. So we exchanged latest news about Thailand, scene, as well as Mexico in view of my recent trip to Puerto Vallarta Vallarta and past 1 am as streets, were emptying rapidly we parted ways and instead of going back to Raya I decided to do a late night walk through the area, always good idea after bars are closing as one can catch some companions going home empty handed. So Silom and Patpong it was then turning left on Suriwong towards Tawan with hope that some boys, will be still having a during on the corner of soi Tawan and that street which is their habit for years. And on approach I saw three shades indeed. Coming closer I see one unfamiliar face, one familiar of Dam and third one even more familiar of guy who left them perpaps 4- 5 years ago whom I offed in the past several times. One of those you can,t forget due to their muscular, steely sculpted bodies. We recognized each other in instant. Hug was spontaneous and very strong. I remembered his name, he forgot mine but remembered hotel we met last time in soi 3. No price for guessing who was my companion I took home. What a surprise, one of those, you reasonably think you will never see again was there, smile. muscle and all. As a bonus we were in the room in minute as he lifted us on his motorbike. Who cared about lost luggage in such circumstances.

  26. Part 6: A rainy day keeps the customers and boys away... It was a rainy Sunday evening yesterday. It was already 10:15pm, and I was looking out of the window of my hotel room waiting for the rain to stop. From the 17th floor of Le Méridien I couldn't really tell how hard it actually rained. So I decided just to give it a go. Patpong 2 is just a very short walk from the hotel anyway. Not too wet I arrived in an empty street where some touts under umbrellas offered me a dry place to shelter. I still didn't go to Hotmale yet the last days so without much chitchat in the street with the tout, I directly walked upstairs. There it seemed the rain had kept everybody away. Both the clients and the boys. I counted 6 customers. And 8 boys on stage. But you only need one nice boy to have a great evening, right? Quality over quantity. Drink 400 baht. Boys on stage wearing jeans and some even sleeveless white shirt with Hotmale logo on it. But I don't complain, as I did see some eyecandy on stage. A very friendly papasan started a nice conversation with me. He also told me 5 of the 8 boys were gay and can be fucked. From these 5 there were at least 3 I could take home because they were my cup of tea... One of them was the whole time smiling at me. He had a very cute and nice smile. If you would visit Hotmale when he's there, you would definitely be able to pick him out of the line of boys directly. He's the one with by far the nicest smile and naughty sparkle in his eyes. I directly felt for it and knew straight away he was going to be my off for tonight. But I like to play hard to get a littlebit. So I teased him, smiled back. But also flirted with some other boys. The show started. Papasan told me gonna be short show because quiet night. I could completely understand. It was a bit awkward for the boys to do a few acts for only a few customers. It started with a very original but strange act: a boy in small underwear and virus ball toys (like on the picture below) attached to his custome came on stage and was chased away by a boy in protective clothing and mouth mask. After 3 acts is was already time for theasr part; the big cock show with 3 boys showing their junk. One of them had I think the biggest cock I've ever seen in Thailand. So if that's your thing you now know where to go... I tipped all 3 guys 100 baht. As soon the show was over and all boys came on stage again I invited Mr Cutesmile over for a drink. During the show some more customers came in and I couldn't have somebody else quickly take him before I could make a move. Tere was nowhere a ladyboy/showgirl to be found in Hotmale. Which was nice for a change after the overkill of ladyboys I witnessed the last two days. Let's not speak about the low quality of the acts, but at least for originality they score a 10 because of the covid act... Lol Mr Cutesmile is from Cambodia and was massageboy in Phnom Penh before. Conversation was a bit difficult because his limited knowledge of the English language and me failing to speak Khmer. Paid my bill (including 500 baht off fee) and went with Mr Cutesmile to 7-eleven to buy a drink and baby oil for the massage. No questions asked by the reception staff of Le Méridien, only a very friendle welcome back greet like always. We shower seperate. I can tell Mr Cutesmile is a bit nervous. So I tell him we start with massage and will see. I assure him we don't need to do anything he doesn't want. Because I got the feeling his nervousness was fueled by the papasan telling him I am top and want to fuck him. This boy was cute enough for massage, some touching, enjoying his body and sucking. And that's what happend. I don't always have to fuck. I actually only enjoy it when the boy that I'm with enjoys it too or at least gives me that impression. Massage skills of Mr Cutesmile are oke. Not too hard, not too soft. Perfect for me. When the deed was done we showered together. After another attempt to have a small conversation (via google translate) it was time to send him on his way...

  27. Part 1: Traveling to and arriving in Bangkok It was last February I decided to start planning and booking my trip. Qatar Airways was having great deals with free cancellation option. I didn’t want to go to Thailand using any Sandbox- or Quarantine-scheme. Too much of a hassle for me. I thought let’s book the flights for October as I was thinking by than life will be almost “back to normal” again. And when for some reason that would not be the case, I could cancel my flights and get a 100% refund. It was before fuel prices went up and Russia invaded Ukraine. So I was lucky to be able to book business class seats from Amsterdam to Bangkok for only 750 euro per way, so in total it was around 1500 euro. In my opinion, Qatar has one of the best Business Class products in the world. Q-suites. Maybe even the best. Both my Amsterdam-Doha and the Doha-Bangkok flight were planned to be flown with planes that are equipped with Q-suites. So much space and privacy! In my opinion this is almost first class, with your own little cabin that can be closed for ith a sliding door. Love it. And it’s so nice to be able to have a good sleep in flight and arrive in Bangkok relaxed and not too tired. Q-suites cabine of Qatar Airways It was just after I checked in for my flights that I received an email fro Qatar Airways. The aircraft type of the flight Doha-Bangkok would because of "operational reasons" be changed and not have Q-suites on board. Actually, when you Google search, you will find out many complains about this and it seems Qatar Airways is doing this regularly. I was very disappointed that on my 2nd flight I would be in their old Business Class product in a 2-2-2 configuration. Less space, less confort, less privacy. It was a night flight. So they dimmed the cabin nights and actually the entire business class cabin went to sleep. So I was able to get some decent rest during the flight in the end. And the food was still very good, as it was on my first flight that did have the Q-suite expierence. Old Qatar Airways business class cabin, as I was having on my Doha-Bangkok flight My flight touched down in Bangkok just after 1pm. The long walk to immigration followed. I could use the fast-lane and there was only 1 other traveller waiting before me. But also the normal waiting line at immigration for economy class passengers was not long at all. What a difference with pre-covid. I remember extreme long queues there. Within 1hr after arriving, I finished immigration, got my luggage, taken some bahts from the atm, bought and activated a Thai simcard and was on my way to Silom in a taxi. The driver asked me 600 baht including tollway, not using the meter. Thats seemed a fair price for me. As Bolt was charging 500 baht without toll fee. I decided not only to spoil myself with the flight, but also to stay in Le Meridien hotel for the first 3 nights in Bangkok. Let’s say this was my way of celebrating my return to Bangkok… Same as for my flights, I was able to get a very good deal and ended up paying only 75 euro per night. My room in Le Méridien Smooth check-in, beautiful room with bath and seperate shower and view over the city on the 17th floor. You need a keycard to activate the elevator. So can't invite any boys into the room without getting them from the street / reception yourself. That's a small minus for me. As I like to be able to say to a boy I like on Grindr just to come up to my room. View from my room in Le Méridien I was in my room around 3pm and not much later Bangkok greeted me with thunder and rain. Decided to take a little nap. Woke up at 6pm. Took a nice bath while writing this report and to fresh up and get ready to hit the streets for dinner and some quick first bar exploring on my first night in Bangkok...

  28. Final thoughts And just like that, my trip is over. This particular trip was special because not only for the fact it was my first international trip after a 2.5 year absence, but because it provided me an escape as I had been going through some shit in the weeks prior to my trip. Now being back home, I need to deal with reality again, and more than ever yearning to be back in Thailand. December/January could be an option for my next trip. My final 2 nights were spent in Dreamboys, and since I had been there a number of times I was becoming more familiar with the staff - I don't know the name of the mamasan, the smaller, older guy, but he was really nice and always knew my drink order. My 2nd final night I spent with a dreamboy, not my regular one, but another one that I had my eye one. He was decent though and softly spoken. He also took me back to the hotel on his motorbike, which by the way I am deathly afraid of, but it was only a short distance and I told him to go slow which he did. My final night was spent with my dreamboy regular for the 5th time. I've spoken about him before but he is excellent and my favourite. I even told him that - I said that even if I go with 100 boys, he will always be my favourite. Since I had an early morning flight, after he left, I spent some time packing and checking out at about 3:30am and going to the airport. The flight back home was pretty non-eventful but I was pretty wrecked as I hadn't slept that night and I have a lot of trouble sleeping on planes. Things I will miss: Prime massage - I lost count the amount of times I have been here, but it is always a good quality professional experience. I've tried the oil, Thai, and foot massages and they are all good. There is even a room with an actual massage table with a face hole which I hadn't seen before. So so so many stairs though lol. I know that Thai massages are not meant to be sensual, but when you and the masseur are contorted into all these shapes together, you cannot help but get a little aroused! Tip - if you go earlier in the day you are more likely to get seen straight away as a walk-in, I tried once at night but there was a 2 hour wait as I didn't have an appointment. The weather - going out every day in shorts and a shirt was delightful when it is the middle of winter in my country. Our winter's are pretty mild but I would still prefer the heat. 7/11 - I loved being able to get decently priced snacks and drinks 24/7, and seemingly seeing the same cute guy(s?) serving me no matter what time I am there (I frequented the 7/11 just in front of the Tarntawan). Tarntawan Hotel - it's showing its age, but it is a nice hotel and very conveniently located. I like the safety aspect how guys need to leave their ID at reception. Staff are always friendly. Bum guns - going back to just toilet paper seems gross now. Public transport - being able to get to a BTS/MRT station and having the train show up within a few minutes, and not having to rely on a train timetable is amazing. Food - so much variety and at so many price points. You want a cheap meal? Sure thing. You want something fancy and expensive? You can have that too. And of course the guys - some are better than others, but it is always nice to spend time with these young men. Anyway, thanks for reading, and whilst waiting patiently for my next trip, I look forward to reading many more trip reports now that international travel is becoming easier and easier.

  29. Day 2 In the morning K was not hungry so went home and I went to world famous for a breakfast alone. After that I took my prescription and went to order new glasses. My current ones are also Bangkok natives and when I made them 6 years ago there was substantial difference between home and Thailand prices, less than half if I recall. Not so much now, another sign that LOS is moving up economically. Then booked dental appointment at Dr. Smile on Silom by Patpong and marched back to Tarntawan to pack and move to Raya. Their policy is to allow check in only after 3 pm although I doubt they are that full so I left luggage at reception and went to 7/11 on Suriwong around the corner from Tawan where I was supposed to meet K at noon for our Mahanakhon trip. Minute or two before noon I got ‘where you are ‘ message from him and indeed at noon on the dot he showed up. At K insistence we took taxi, laughable idea for such short distance but if he wanted , so be it. Actually I’m glad we did because shockingly it turned out driver took order but he doesn’t know where MahaNakhon is and we are taking highest building in Thailand with very distinctive shape. Past Chong Nonsi BTS he kept driving and driving until I intervened and he turned back. It must be something with that structure because here where I live I know personally guy who went there by BTS , disembarked as instructed by me at Chong Nonsi and still couldn’t find it even if Mahanahkon is practically atop of that station. Perhaps too close ? Anyways up we went and on approach to the famous glass I could see that my muscular guy is sweating extensively. Are you scared? ‘yes” . But to his credit he went there, allowed me to take few shots on his camera but no, he did not repeat my trick of laying face down on the glass. At least I could impress him. Fortunately he took all that stress well and was clearly happy with experience, when we visited impressive toilet with the view one floor down did not have problem of looking into chasm through the window. On the way to Raya we stepped at World famous for a lunch . In Raya room was already ready so we could start our scheduled massage session right away and no , it was not him who massaged me but other way around and I still paid him for a privilege, not that massage lasted whole 3 hrs. Great 3 hours. After he left heavy rain poured all of the sudden. I even expected he may be back but no he braved it to Tawan where his bike was parked he told me later. Jet lag and rain knocked me down and I collapsed on the bed till well past 8p.m. Woke up, showered and went to Hot Male downstairs for a chat with paulsf and bar boys there . At 10 planned trip to Moonlight where I hoped muscular A will be available but no, Tuesday curse. There were more staff than customers , Bee my first off in December recognized me and was circling hoping for an off but I pushed 100 baht into his briefs and left it there. Only 3 models on duty , Smart, Babe and Tum but they were entertained by some customers so no chance even for an eye contact. To bar’s credit there was still; show and models parade for us, only handful of spectators. So no off tonight sighted I , picked up phone and lined V , yesterday’s short timer if he is risking long time tonight. “Yes” answer and smiling sticker came back in less than 5 seconds. Not much later, despite rain he showed up on he steps of Raya. First we went to “Beer Garden ‘ former ‘ Eden Garden’ or whatever name it had seafood restaurant right across former soi Twilight. There are two waitresses I know for years, both not only recognized me offering hug but one of them shocked me by saying ‘you always order chicken with cashew nuts”, even if last time we saw each other was in Oct 2019 and we are in May 2022 ! I was dining there in December but none of those two were there, they returned only in February. So I was duly shocked and pleasantly surprised. In several days they surprise me even more but that’s for another day. V is modest guy so no expensive seafood stuff, just some regular dish and both filled up we went to the room by back elevator as Raya is closing front door at midnight till 6. He was impressed with size of Executive room I had and I was impressed how clingy he still is. Solid and sweaty gymnastics both past midnight and in the morning. V never disappoints thought I falling asleep in his embraces ending day 2 of the trip.

  30. Last night at 2 am or so after my companion left I decided that is too scary to sleep alone and I need somebody if only to warm the bed and embrace me in my sleep, in short, no particular requirement and even brother of Hunchbck of Notre Dame will do. So fired Grindr and it was somebody shown at 58 meters away, still online. Actually nice, good looking and at 178 not too short so I sent a message, answer come right away agreeing to complete the night from now till whenever. I gave location and stated that I will be waiting in front of hotel. And so I went downstairs looking right and left to a completely deserted soi for somebody to show but it was still empty. In about 5 minutes somebody appeared emerging from my hotel. That was a guy actually better looking than on an app. Turned out that he is in the same hotel. So via 7/11 we returned there, in elevator it turned we are staying on the same floor and when I asked what room you are staying, it was revealed that it was one opposite of mine with our heads leaning at the same wall, just from other side. So distance of 58 meters really was more like 28 centimeters. Who would think I was so well positioned? And good news is, I wasn't asked for taxi money!!!

  31. Day 2. Woke up late at Grand Hyatt Erawan. After breakfast I asked for a late checkout and they gave me a 4PM checkout without hesitation. It is probably also a byproduct of the hotel still being in medium capacity. Went to CentralWorld only to discover they closed all Coffee Bean branches in BKK. I like the big department store in CentralWorld that used to be called Zen and is now called Central. It's same prices as home but with lots of Asian brands we don't have back home. Bought my husband a backpack that he wanted and carried on my way back to hotel for checkout. W Hotel - I only stayed the first night at the Hyatt for the fast “get out of jail” card. Rest of the nights I wanted to spend at Silom. I Usually stay at the Meridien but I wanted to diversify since hotel prices were the cheapest I ever saw in BKK. I booked a studio suite at W for a total of 750 USD for 3 nights. I used rewards that I have so didn't actually pay but the fact is that this room in this hotel usually costs more than double. I booked that room specifically since I had a naughty fantasy with that tub which will be fulfilled in my first night there. Hotel was great and they gave me a free 6PM(!) checkout which is something I never got for free before. After checking in, I had coffee with an old friend from previous trips and after that I wanted a massage. Arrived to Silom Plaza's Arena just to discover that they don't serve the dish that I'm after. And by that I refer to Asian muscle. By Vinapu and Andy's recommendations I took a motor taxi to Sabaideespa. 4 guys on display, one of them suits my needs, I think his name was Jack. For the first time, following Vinapus advice, I go for 90 mins. I got the whole 90 mins. Massage was fun, playful and that guy was with a very high conscious of giving good service. I left that place very happy. What I failed to mention so far is that one of my main motivations to come to BKK was to meet someone from a past trip. In a previous trip report, I named him V (after his perfect V shaped torso) and we met at the White Party of 2018. This is a link to the over detailed full report of that trip, but in short, I'll say he is a fun guy to party with, we have a good connection, and his body makes me extremely weak at my knees. Some more background: after meeting in January 2018, we kept in touch online for about a year. Then he suddenly blocked me without explanation. Social media did show he had a boyfriend and I assumed that for some reason that is the reason he blocked me. Fast forward to mid-2021 after he and his BF broke up he texts me apologizing for his behavior with some explanations that sounded ridiculous to me but honestly, I did not care that much, I was happy that he contacted and waited for the right time to meet him again. I asked him to stay with me at nights and made sure he understands that during the days I'll be out without him and that he can do whatever he wants. Back at the W after my massage I wait for V to finish his work and come to my hotel. We meet at the lobby. I'm not surprised to see that he looks exactly the same. He's a classic case of - I'm not sure what I want more, to look like him or to fuck him, but at least I got one of the two. After we make out in the room, and after some talking, he wanted to shower and it was the perfect timing for me to fulfill one of my fantasies. One of the main reasons I chose to get a higher-class room was the tub. I imagined us in the tub together, him on me when I hug him from behind and soap his body. And that fantasy was exactly what happened. I was pleased that I accomplished to manifest an image I had in my mind, and after that we were both hungry and go to Soi 4’s Mexican restaurant to have a reasonable dinner. Although he offers to pay every taxi, restaurant or party we attend, I never let him. Money was never a part of the relationship between us but I know he struggles for his salary and for me paying on these expenses is easy and appreciated. From dinner we head straight to GOD. Everything is similar as it was in 2018 - he is extremely fun and sexy to party with. On that Friday GOD was not full but had a nice amount of people. Music is awesome, smoking is thankfully but ridiculously still allowed. We dance exactly the same way we did four years ago. V is an attention seeker and he wants to dance shirtless, at the mezzanine of the club, where everyone sees him, and the guy touching him and holding him from behind, which was yours truly. That guy knows how to party and I love clubbing with him. At 1:20 AM the lights turn on. That's way earlier than it used to be, but V says I'm not allowed to complain and instead just be thankful that it reopened. V who is still high, wants to go to a private after party. I don't and promise him we will go tomorrow and that tonight I want him for myself. We arrive at the room, then as it was in the past, we argue who is sex DJ tonight. V likes shitty circuit music and I like deep house. We have it my way that night and have a sex night. Our sex is in different rhythms each night, and tonight was softer and more passionate. We go to sleep exhausted and satisfied at about 5AM. Time zone wise, I deliberately wanted to go to sleep each night somewhere between 4AM to 6AM so that on the one hand I stay at Israeli Time zone, and on the other hand we don't miss hotel breakfast

    Trip report

Post 3 - Phuket report I had two visits to Phuket, both consisting of about 5 days. I had originally planned to visit only once, but I cut my Pattaya trip short as it was so quiet when I visited (bearing in mind this was the beginning of December) and returned to Phuket where it was more lively. Flights to Phuket I booked a flight from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi a day before travel each time and used Thai Smile and Air Asia. The four flights I booked cost (including luggage) 1200 bht, 850 baht, 2200 baht and 980 baht. I still find it amazing how ridiculously cheap internal flights are here. I was apprehensive about flying and what documents I would need, it turned out to be no hassle. Each time I was only asked show proof of my vaccination record on check in, so it's worth printing a copy for anyone thinking of doing the same. They didn't want to see my Thailand pass nor was I asked about the Mor Chana or any other app. I encountered no other check either end on my four flights and it was all very straightforward. Bars/Nightlife The main walking street / Bangla road was buzzing. It almost seemed like pre covid with most beer bars open and a throng of tourists. To enter the Bangla Road at night there was a check point at either end. Westerners simply had to take a temperature check but Thais had to take both a temperature check and show their vaccination certificate. This seemed quite the reversal to usual Thai/Farang policies on entering attractions! I spent some time in this area and although not gay there was plenty of handsome eye candy working in the bars. Inevitably, when drinking here I was had some attention from the ladies but if they were pleasant enough I didn't mind buying them the occasional drink and had a chat. This actually turned out to be quite fruitful as after making clear I wasn't interested and that I was gay this led on a few to times to being introduced to some guys. In one bar the very handsome bar tender was straight, but after being introduced by the lady I had a natter with he made it clear that he would be happy to take care of a "nice" (his words) foreign guy. On another occasion I was in more of a rock bar and got chatted up by a freelance lady where I made it clear straight away that I was gay. This time she told me that she was drinking with her gay friend and another lady and would I care to join them, now of course I know it was to secure them a few drinks for the night, but he was gorgeous so how could I refuse? I felt good, he was taking an interest, was taking care and there was a fun atmosphere all round - I enjoyed this night which culminated (metaphorically) with fireworks - worth every satang. In both situations it was all very relaxed and no pressure - I actually enjoyed doing things a little bit different to the usual haunts. The gay area around the royal paradise hotel was a little more subdued but there were enough bars open to make it worth a visit and there was a gentle cozy atmosphere. The main cabaret club which dominates the soi was closed during my visit so I think that might have had an impact, although on an occasional night they did put on a small bit of entertainment in the street with a drag artist which seemed to entertain the surrounding open bars. The saving bar for me turned out to be Gclub, recently opened next to Zag. I recognised some of the staff from Pattaya. I think eventually they will also do cabaret but the terrace was frequently busy and had passing boys regularly dropping by for a drink and a chat. There was also a bar opposite Zag (I think it might have once been connected to a hotel and is now called Zig, but I could have got this wrong). This bar was quite popular too and had a few pleasant drinks there, although on my second trip they suddenly closed - I was told by a boy that it was because someone was pinged through contact tracing and would be have to close for 10 days - though how accurate this was I don't know. It made me realise that people's businesses were just as vulnerable to these rules as tourists, except where a tourist might be inconvenienced after being pinged with these businesses it was their livelihoods at stake. I also discovered a small bar on the main massage soi called heaven. Apparently it's been there for years but I didn't know it existed in all the years id been visiting Phuket. 3 or 4 waiters and a great vantage point to eye up the guys in the local massage shops. I actually had one of the neighboring massage shop guys come and join me for a drink. Massage The main central soi in paradise seemed to be where most of the gay massage shops are located where I counted about 5 or 6 shops open. My favourite place was a place called 4 Massage (red shop) at the top of the soi, as being into more guy next door/fuller guys this is where they seemed to be (when I visited anyway). Hotels On both occasions I stayed in the Hilton Banthai. Got an absolute bargain on Agoda working out at an average of 1300 baht a night. 3 good sized pools, swim up bars and restaurants on site. I took the buffet breakfast on a couple of occasions which only cost an extra 200 baht for a full selection of hot and cold food. Rooms were comfortable and spotless. The only surprise was that were no wall switches and the controls for the room lighting, air con etc were stuck on a panel from what seemed to once been on the set of a 1980s star trek film - very odd and in an inconvenient place stuck down beside the side of only one side of the bed. I had no problems with joiners, I was a bit apprehensive about this after reading online reviews but simply walked in confidently each night with my companion and not a single eye was batted. There are also plenty of ways to get to the room by avoiding reception, but I chose the safe route and decided just to be confident about doing so. Guys There were plenty of opportunities through the bars and massage shops, but my best guys came from the apps. Some of the guys turned out to be working in the massage shops and would try and entice you to visit, however the apps were busy and plenty of choice. Similar tip expectations on enquiry to Pattaya, which is less than my last visit 3 years ago. It's also worth noting that in Phuket everyone I encountered in the apps were Thai, I guess the pandemic is keeping the other guys away. Daytime activities There's enough to keep my occupied for 4/5 days. Plenty of walks when staying in Patong, either up the hills at the back or along the coast. I walk miles each day but it's usually from one coffee shop / drinking establishment to the next until I'm tired, a refreshment and then onwards again. Fortunately there's plenty of stop off places. No where to report of particular note, but some were situated in places with spectacular scenery - I even uploaded a pic to my Instagram account (which now has the grand total of 6 pictures in the 6 or 7 years I've had the account - I've got some catching up to do to keep up with the Thai boys!). Transport The transport in Phuket really is its Achilles Heal. A couple of poor experiences. Airport car from the airport to Patong was 800 baht, ticket bought at domestic arrivals on both occasions. First journey from airport was a gruff intimidating driver who, amongst other things, tried to sell me a return back after the trip and demanded my line account. He was quite persistent so just took a pic of his Line QR with no intention to link it. For the rest of the journey I played dumb, ignored him and put my headphones on. When we reached the hotel I continued to ignore him and made no eye contact and let the bell boy take care of the case, knowing I was safely in the grounds of the hotel. The bell boy ended with double the tip as the amount I usually set aside for the taxi driver went into his hand instead. It didn't really bother me, but it would be intimidating for new time tourists to the Island. The taxi that the hotel arranged back wasn't much better. 900 baht hotel to airport. No intimidation this time but the drivers were erratic, one particularly so. I didn't bother with any Tuk tuks in Patong, I noted there were plenty of motorbike taxis available but I don't know the fares as I never used them. I just wish the Phuket authorities would sort out its transport. When I return to Phuket again, I'm considering renting a car for the duration of the stay.

  33. Pattaya, turned out to be great for me. Just paying an attention to close environment was fruitful as, I landed really good guy from one of massage shops just by Agate, my hotel. 2 massages and 2 LT's in 3 days says a bit ! Generosity seems to pay off as I upped his requested 1st night tip and second one was almost bordering on exhausting and it was not only me who noted it. Professional behavior too, no stupid tears on departure just kiss, embrace and hand shake. Agate was almost empty like most hotels those days but at lease, was opened and I landed nice room for relatively peanuts. Great French bakery on the corner opposite Soda massage. Sunee was dead zone but even in the afternoon arrond 5 there was some life and if pressed even I would find 1 or 2 to take with me for a stroll or something. Skinny for my taste and more mid than low 20 ties but this is what I look for anyways so hope is there. Boyztwn is disaster zone with only Scandic opened if only to carry the torch, one or 3 hunks there but I skipped this part. ALT Heidelberg closed but not boarded, Berliner Cafe opened and few money exhnagers opened had actually better rate for euros 37.70 and more than world famous booths by train station in the basement of Swampy 37.30. But generally one in need to change currency needs to look for one opened as 2/3 of booths in both Pattaya and Bangkok are closed. What is, interesting thought, ones survived are those which offered better rates which if you think about this, makes sense. More traffic more chance to survive. Walking Street is 93.5 disaster zone but 6.5 is enough for few tourists wandering Pattaya streets right now. Bars not opened but winks and whispers are. Disaster time, like in Bangkok was not wasted by some. Some premises are not boarded but spruced, renovated and spiffied, sometimes for other than original purpose. So old saying : "never waster good crisis" was, taken by some seriously. From Dec 15 on frequency of Jomtien airport bus is increased by 1 to 7 a day if I recall so again that is good sign. Bus full both ways. As mentioned Swampy exchange counters are operating but only 3 or 4 of previous 8 or 10. Airport mid day yesterday was quite empty but not completely empty, another good sign considering size of arrival hall. Stores are opened as before and ever good hearted I upported 7/11 by buying coffee and purchasing soap spending money as it is no tomorrow. Flight to Chiang Mai was I think completely full, nice view of country from above. In the airport I did not bother with economizing on busses or tuk tuks and went with flat rate taxis. There are 2 companies with booths beside each other offering 150 rate but this seem to be to Old city. Since I,m staying bit further I was, quoted 200. Since I, m close to Adam's Apple I passed by but that is, another piece of history as bar is closed and place up for sale. But view from room, I think bigger then my apartment is excellent, air is crisp, banana pancake can be had for 30, street food abounds and city walkable. Being here for 1st time I ventured out actually after dark as I arrived late and easily found my way there and back. First impression is 7/11 are less ubiquitous than in Bangkok and Pattaya but adds on apps are deceitful and photos hopped all the same. Temple sightseeing started with Classic House massage. Will return to report more as first sample may be inconclusive, all the same like room visit from Romeo. I try not to jump into conclusions after just 1 statistic sample. Sleeping alone but with wide opened both windows was very pleasant though, will repeat tonight unless something happens, one ever knows.

    Karaoke/Host Bars

I have been living in Bangkok for almost 6 months now and the Silom gogo bars and massage parlors around BKK have started to bore me. So I started exploring an untapped territory amongsts us farangs in Thailand. Although foreigners are not unheard of in these Karaoke/Host Bars but its extremely rare I heard. To be honest, I haven't searched the forum if there's an already existing topic about this but I hope you guys wouldn't mind. I'll jumpstart this topic with some of the few places that I have already been and I will list down a few other places that I know and hopefully some of our members can explore and share their experiences as well. So here it goes: Chill HostBar This is located in Nonthaburi which is around 20 minutes from the Grand Palace in Bangkok. I would recommend this to first timers since the owner can speak english well and they have models whose first language is english. Some models are magazine-models-quality and most are straight. Sitting with the boy is 750/hour. VIP room starts at 300/hour. No sex in the VIP room but kiss and blowjob is alright. I was able to off someone for 500 THB and there is a motel across for the same price. The model I offed grew up in Australia so he is a Thai with an australian accent. Fucks and kisses hard. I tipped him 1,700 after. One word of advice though is that the owner can be a little shady. He ordered food which I ended paying in the end. I've also been told that the VIP is getting prepared (even though I was the only customer that time), preparation took 1 hour and turns out I was already paying 750 for sitting with the model. What's worse is that the whole time I was just talking to the owner because I was too shy to make a move on the model (we were sitting in the common room). If you'd like to save some moolah while exploring this bar, just buy enough drinks to get to know the model, don't order food, and just sit with the model in the common room and off him after. Buzz Karaoke/Host This is a fairly new host bar in Bangkok. There are around 30-40 boys to select from which are mostly twinks and straight. Beer prices starts at 1,000++ (3 beers), sitting with the boy in the common room is 250. VIP room is 300/hour and sitting with the boy in the VIP room is 750 for the first hour and 250 for the succeeding hours. No sex in the VIP room is allowed but kiss and blowjob are okay. Staff speaks limited english so you will need to use google translate if you don't know basic Thai. The boy I sitted with is straight and fairly new to the business. I was only able to kiss him and fondle his cock in the VIP room. He was too shy to get a blowjob in the bar. I got his Line and we were supposed to meet up so that I can give him a proper one but didn't reply on the day itself anymore :(. So this was 4,400 THB charged to experience. Sit2Sis Restaurant/Ent Club This is a hostbar in Din Daeng Bangkok. If you take a grab/bolt to the place, you will see a Sis2Sis restaurant but that is not the bar itself. You would have to go inside the parking of the same building and take the stairs one floor down. You will need to take an ATK (100/THB) to get inside. So a beer costs 260 THB, ice is 130 THB and sitting with a boy is at least one beer/hour (which is 260 THB). However, they employ a bidding concept wherein guests can fight/bid over the boy/models that they want, meaning if you bid to sit the model for one beer and someone else bid two beers (520 THB), you would have to bid three beers (730 THB) to get him and so on.. Bidding happens every after hour so all the boys would return to the stage to get bid for every after hour. Customers are mostly Thais although, there was also a group of Chinese. What suprises me is that almost all of the 40-50 models get seated for atleast two beers. Some groups would sit 3-5 guys so be prepared to shell out some moolah to compete. I sitted a boy who can speak english and ended up sitting him for two beers for 4 rounds. My bill racked up to 4,500 with no sex, blowjob or kiss nonetheless, it was a fun night. There are a few other places in Bangkok with more or less the same concept (pay to sit the boy with no expectation of sex). This could be thrilling for others (like me, lol) who like a challenge in laying a straight guy. The only downside is the cost but if you're someone who doesn't have to worry about money, here are a few other places I found which you could try and share your experiences with: Fake Club Bangkok TurboClub Bangkok 76 Garage (can't sit with the guy but models are AAA quality) Mirinn Club RCA ERR Infinity YES.BKK Hiso Ciety (I think this is the cream of the crop of all Male hostbar in BKK)

  35. Part 2 continued Strip Clubs After combing internet I was expecting to visit all four listed, three of them on Cardenas , practically one beside another. But it did not work that way – Pervert seemed to disappear or relocate but I did not find where. Wet Dreams looked closed for low season I checked almost daily well past midnight but no , it was not opened. Hope in future. 69 is opened but I had bad luck as it was in process of renovation for 2 weeks, I even saw work in process and scheduled to re-open 2 days after my departure. There’s prominent sign in the window “men only admitted”. Obviously no trace of political correctness there. This left me with only choice - Anthropology. That bar is located actually outside of Zona Romantica , immediately across the river, just past bridge. During day it can be overlooked but at night is lighted with psychedelic neon and just to make sure there ‘s bare chested , well built but also well past his prime guy on duty at the entrance making sure all visitors are making donation in absence of entry ticket. Each time I was placing 100 peso = 5 USD in the jar but had impression that 50 or even 20 would do. I visited it 4 times, including one during deluge when in order to enter I needed to wring at the entrance my soaked and dripping shirt. Every time it was busy , at times very busy with standing room only. Ladies are admitted but behaved well. But not too many old gringos in audience , Every time I felt like a dean of customers with my white hair. So how it works there ? You climb the stairs to find yourself in very spacious bar , take a seat and order drink. Corona beer cost only 50 for customer but 150 for a boy if you invite one for drink. Each time it was at least 20-30 guys on duty. There are more lavishly priced drinks , at times boys even ordered 2 which cost 400 but there’s advantage to it – boy is sitting with you until his drink is finished. They are quite reasonable , not gulping it all in one go , so you can count on 15-20 minutes of conversation, some caressing , hugging, kissing , depending how brave you are and how inclined guy is. I noticed some are reserved and others extremely easily forthcoming. They are dressed in their underwear , sometimes also t-shirt but will remove it on request immediately. Yes , you can feel their privates, cock usually was erect and erection enforced by rubber ring and those are Latin cocks, cocks of size ! Most boys asked for a tip or another drink, but few just finished their glass and left to the next customer or to perform. My system was 500 i.e. if boy ordered 2 drinks and it cost 400 , 100 was his tip, if ordered cheaper one for say 250, 250 was his tip. They were asking for private dance promising 20 minutes for 500. I took bait 2 times but found it poor value. They have rooms for that upstairs, you pay 500 to the cashier and you both climb the stairs close door and you have naked adonis to play with. In both cases they asked for 500 tip on top of fee paid already so total was 1000= 50 USD and in both cases 20 minutes lasted 10 and 15. So definitely not worth it unless you really like guy which was my second case. I had him sitting with me every night. I’m not sure they took an advantage of my newness with that extra tip or that is the system. If I stay longer I’d find out. I spoke to one of boys and he admitted they prefer tip to drinks on which they get some commission but boss is watching and is expecting them to have certain number of drinks. He also said that boys can be take out for a familiar fee of 500 but I did not get to it, may be next time. Some boys spoke very good English , some almost none and everything in between. As for shows there’s always at least one at any given time, always solo , on one of three venues : main stage, pole dancing and shower . Sometimes one guy is performing on the stage and at the same time other is showering. Shower show by the way is only one with full nudity and boys there are not shy. Main stage performers usually sport rigid member , rather surely enforced by cock ring. After their part boys circulate among audience asking for tips so better be prepared with change although it’s easy to get one from waiter , I paid for my 50 peso beer with 500 note , asked for change for tips and I got fistful of 20 and 50 peso notes as a change, easy. Of course waiter got 20 peso for his efforts. You may have situation that at the same time 3 guys are circulating , main stager , shower guy and pole dancer , each with his hat you should place your tip in but also with his poking cock you can get a feel of for few precious seconds. All at time when you have another guy sitting with you already and not exactly saying rosary either . Fun there never stops but also money is flowing like the river. But there’s little pressure, you get his smile and feel of whatever part of his body you fancy ( some assess are just God sent) whether you tip 20 or 100 and if you don’t they are moving to next client. Boys are not shy and quite happy to share their attributes with you for a moment or three as long as you grease their palms. I had fun there every time but Guardian Angel instructed me to take only so much money so when it was gone , shortly was I, happy but empty pocketed ( 3000 each night, 2-3 hrs of non stop fun including 3-4 boys sitting with me for a time ) In comparison with Thai bars refreshing is absence of mamasans, boys are doing their soliciting by themselves but as I said , with very little pressure , I can recall only one so called face when I tipped guy just 20 peso. Those who frequent Tawan will find an atmosphere similar.

  36. Part 16: Trip to the south... Going to Phuket After a view nice days in Pattaya is was time to leave for Phuket. I've worked and lived in Khao Lak and Phuket for about 5 months a few years ago and I was curious how Phuket came out of the covid period. Also still an old colleague and his Thai boyfriend are living in Phuket so was looking forward to see them again too. U-Tapao Airport is very small with at this moment only one or two flight a day. Probabaly because of this, ALL restaurants and bars were closed at the airport. Before and afyer security. So if you fly from there, maybe good to have some drink with you and drink it before you go trough security check. You can go trough security just 15 minutes before boarding time as the airport is so small and nos busy at all. I wouldn't be afraid of airlines cancelling flight from U-Tapao because of lack of passengers. Both flights that departed from the airport when I was there looked well occupied. My own flight to Phuket, with a propellor plane, was almost completely full. Flying with Bangkok Airways means a meal/snack and drinks are included. What I actually needed as everything at the airport itself was closed. Phuket Airport (and the rest of the touristic areas on the island) are known for their taxi maffia. The government is trying to do something about it. There are now maximum taxi fares in place from the airport. Every taxi tooth and booth is now actually charging the same: 800 baht from airport to Patong. You can also follow signs "taxi meter" to the very end of the parking area. If you're lucky there is a taxi meter waiting there. As that mind turn out a bit cheaper. While I was in my way to the taxi meter parking, a drives offered me the ride for 650 baht which I agreed on. I also checked Bolt. They charge around 500 baht but Bolt taxis are officially not allowed to pick up customers at Phuket Airport and I wanted to avoid any nasty situations. I booked the Best Western Patong Hotel. Because it walking distance from Paradise Complex but on a more quiet road. And it has a rooftop pool for some afternoon chilling. And for 790 baht per night it was priced good. Pool at Best Western Patong I'm evening it was time to head to Paradise Complex to see what's left from the gay area. In one street good old Zag Club is still there, even bigger than before. Next to it is G Club. Both have drag shows that you can watch while sitting on their terraces. As they do the show on the street. Zag later continues their show inside. It was very busy at Zag. Between their shows the crowd in dancing and flirting. With some shirtless staff joining in. Crowd is a good mix of falang, Asian, young and older. Everybody enjoying themself and each other... Very good and nice atmosphere. Having a good night out in Zag Club There are two other smaller bars in the street but they actually didn't have any customers when I passed by. The good old boat bar went bankrupt and is gone. There used to be also two go go bars in Paradise, with boys wearing numbered tags that could be offed. But they also didn't surivive covid lockdowns. The owner of Zag Club bought most of the buildings on the street. To avoid any competition coming in. Some of the buildings he is owning are already empty for many years. They are up for sale, but apparently he doesn't want to sell to anybody planning to start a bar or club. Other bars, like G Club, are struggling a bit. For example: Zag is suppose to do their street show until 10pm after which G Club can start theirs, to try to get also some customers in. But Zag just continues their street show till way after 10pm, giving G Club less fair chance to take some business. The bars are next to each other, so they can't do street show at same time because music will reverberate disturbingly. G Club terrace Because of the dominant presence of Zag, that club was full of people while G club only had handful customers on the terrace. If you're coming to Phuket I would suggest to also support the business in G Club a bit and don't forgot to also sit down at their terrace for a drink. If only for the cute and young owner / manager. Their streetshow will start as soon as Zag take theirs inside. In the road parallel of the bar street, there are a few gay massage places. Will check them out later.

  37. Part 12: Arriving in Pattaya To be clear: I off course mean that they fly from Chiang Mai to U-Tapao Airport (also known as Pattaya Airport, but still about 1hr drive to Jomtien). I arranged Mike Pattaya taxi service to pick me up from the airport (800 baht) and when I arrived his driver was waiting for me with a sign with my name on it. Unfortunately his car did not start. Another driver came to help. They used jumper cables to start the engine and within 10 minutes we were on our way. In Pattaya I always stayed close to Boyztown the precious times and actually never explored Jomtien. Yes, I did take the songtaew to go to the gay beach (Dongtan Beach), but did not go to the Jomtien complex bars before. I decided that needed to change. And because forum members here had good experiences at The Agate, I booked my room there. Like others wrote before; I got a great deal booking directly with the hotel. Only 1000 baht per night without breakfast. Much cheaper than booking it via booking.com or Agoda. Why I skipped the Jomtien complex till now? Probably because Boyztown could give me everything I needed. My taste of boys is more on the masculine / muscular side. And I always read that Jomtien caters more for the lovers of slim/skinny boys. But as I’m open to try new things, and if needed Boyztown is only a short ride away, I’m staying in Jomtien this time. First impression of Agate is very good. Friendly staff at check in and goodlooking room with comfortable bed. Since I'm in Thailand I've also had beds that were a bit on the hard side, but the bed in Agate feels good. While showering I was thinking why is there this little bench in the shower? I could only think about one thing: so that a boy can sit on there while giving you a blowjob in the shower.... Something to try out the next days.... Lol Staying in the middle of the gay area is nice. But it can also be a little annoying when you have to go pass by pushy massageboys at Soda Massage every time you go to the beach, 7-eleven or dinner. Specially when a few of their boys already chatted with you on Grindr and the fact you have shown them "some interest" makes them directly think you want massage today with them... Good that I quickly found a shortcut: via the garage of Agate you reach the main road directly, without having to pass by massage parlours or bars. Can be nice to know if you just want to leave the Jomtien complex without being hassled. Or if you want to bring a boy from Boyztown back to Agate without having to walk with him trough Jomtien complex (I've heard some boys don't like parade trough the complex). Jomtien beach I went for a walk on the beach and noticed how pretty Jomtien beach actually is. With (palm)trees growing ON the beach. Giving it the real tropical atmosphere. Hopefully the weather in the next days will be good so I get the chance to actually lay on the beach an afternoon. Relax, read. After dinner it was time to make a round in Jomtien to get a first impression of the nightlife here. But I will write about that later.

  38. Part 10: Last evening in Bangkok (for now...) Yesterday was my last evening in Bangkok. I will go travels around Thailand now for a few week (up north, Pattaya, Phuket...) and will be back on Bangkok on September 23 for 5 more night before I fly home. The evening didn't start well... It was raining hard, the roads flooded. And the hourly forecast didn't look good either. But after about 1hr the rain stopped and it was "safe" to head out to the bars. I had some unfinished business to take care of before leaving Bangkok tomorrow... First of all there is the guy on Grindr who is for days already stalking me. He works in Freshboys. Don't wanna just ignore or block him because I want to be able to go to Freshboys again without "losing face". He looks nice and sweet, not sure if he will be my type in real life. So didn't want to invite him to my room without seeing him in the bar first. But he kept trying. Even on his day off. Decided to go for a drink in Freshboys first and buying the boy a drink too. So at least I've shown him my good heart. Lol Gave him besides a drink an extra 100 baht bill and told him I had to leave to Tawan because I needed to show my friend that place. Which was actually true as I met up with another solo traveler and we agreed to go to Freshboys en Tawan together that night. Because of the rain, the steps at Freshboys was wet and slippery. The guy I was with slipped and felt down, taking me with him in his fall as I was walking in front of him. I had a soft landing, on top of him. He took a harder hit on the concrete stairs. But was also fine. Thank god. He was even laughing saying that cracked his back without having to pay for a massage... But let this be a warning whenever around in rain: stairs can be slippery! We arrived at Tawan around 11pm. The show didn't start yet. When we looked around we found out why: we were the only customers... All the rest (around 20 boys again, same like the day before) were Tawan staff. We had our drinks, talked to the (I suppose) manager and I off course invited 6pack guy (see report part 8 in this post about one day earlier in Tawan) to come and sit with me. "I take care of you tonight?" he asked. Oh yes you can! Understandable, with no other customers in the bar, Tawan decided not to have a show that night. I was entertained by 6pack guy who took my hands and placed them all over his muscles body so I could feel everything... He was placing his own hand on my shorts while feeling what was hidden inside... This is even better than the show. Lol No show this night, only guys doing some posing on stage like in this picture from Tawan twitter account. In the meantime I had some conversation with the guy I was with. He decided to move on to soi 4 to see if, despite the heavy rain earlier, things were happening there. And I took 6pack guy back to Tarntawan. 2500 for the boy, 500 for the bar. More expensive than the average off fee in the boybars. But I wanted to have a Tawan expierence... And it turned out better than expected. One day earlier when I also was in Tawan, 6pack guy already told me "everything" is possible, except that he doesn't want to get fucked. He spoke good English so I had no reason to think things went lost in translation. Possibilities from his side and expectations from mine were clear. He had to leave his id card at reception of the hotel. In my room the muscle worshipping that started in the bar continued. And as promised he kissed, sucked my dick... And even more: he licked my balls and ass. Was very nice to feel his tongue go there... After this all came to a (my) climax, 6pack guy gave me a short mini massage. I felt his strong hands over my body and feet. After 6pack guy left, hotel reception called me to check everything was oke before they gave his id card back. To be honest, I didn't expect much from a Tawan guy. I was thinking maximum you could get was touching his muscles and sucking HIS cock. The expierence I had with 6pack guy was so much better than that...! Let's see what adventures the rest of Thailand will have for me in the next weeks...

  39. Day 7.5: The Dreamers You know you’re getting old when you start reminiscing about the old days. And for me the old days were way back in… 2014. OK, I know that that’s not even 10 years ago, but that’s the year I first started going to Bangkok and started to darken the doors of its illustrious boy bars. Back then, Soi Twilight was in full swing (at least from what I saw), Tawan and Jupiter were both off-Soi choices I would visit, and Moonlight didn’t even exist yet. And back then, we didn’t need a New Twilight, as the old one was more than enough. Dream Boy on Soi Twilight was a standout for me. That neon sign alone was iconic. This was my impression of it way back in 2016: It seemed to be always full on weekends. The touts may have something to do with it, as they were ever present in the Soi, literally pulling indecisive people from the street to plop them onto DreamBoy’s seats. Inside, I’ve always thought old DreamBoy’s layout was the most ideal for optimal viewing of what was going onstage. Since the setup was “arena theater”-style, the audience almost did not have a bad viewing angle, and the shows were optimized for viewing of this kind of stage. But of course the greatest of structures is nothing if the main attraction is inferior. The fact that there was great variety in the boys here, often in skimpy white briefs, and with the seating the way it was, you can be up close and personal with balls in your face. I’ve spent so many nights searching for Mister Right Now in this bar. Oh the memories. --- As Tiago and I make our way to the gay area of Patpong 2, I only had to show my face to my usual mamasan at Dream Boy to be automatically led to the premises of the club. The club was almost full on a Saturday night, but miraculously there were nice seating close to where most the staff were sitting, with the mamasan shooing the staff currently sitting so we can claim the seat. Regular coke and rum and coke – it was fine, not too strong or weak. We got in just in time for a last glimpse of the boys on offer and before the coyotes terrorized the stage. There was a lot of boys, maybe 40, and a great variety as well, as in the old days. There were twinks, and hunks, and everything else in between. They were in jeans, which was less ideal, but beggars can’t be choosers. I see a few boys I’ve offed in the past, which is always a comfort knowing that they have toughed it out through the pandemic and able to continue with this life. There was a tall hunk (handsome, white skin, abs) who was model-like and was even better looking than any of the Moonlight or Jupiter boys. He got snapped up very quickly by a rotund Asian guy up front. The coyotes came, which was fine. “All girls,” Tiago said, as he thought the dancers were to feminine acting for his taste. I didn’t mind them, but no one was attractive to me. I’ve always thought the big column in the middle was an unfortunate fact in the club. It's probably load-bearing, so they can't do anything about it, but still, it's fairly awkward to have it obscuring the center of the stage. Though, it was ingenious for them to put a platform around the column so that it can be used for numbers. But boys and other numbers who end up behind the column would be unseen, and depending on where you were seated, you would miss some of the action if the column obscured your angled view. Far cry from the seating of the Twilight days, but this is what we have now. The drag queens were actually pretty good. Gone was the slapstick skits that were a trademark before, but now they just have the traditional lip-syncing goddesses that are staples of clubs all over. The numbers in general were pretty slick and choreographed, like it was before. I recognized the star of Dream Boy, still here after all this year, maybe looking a little older, but still hot as before, dancing his heart out like his life depended on it. I used to dream about how it was to off him, now, not so much. How my tastes have changed. Probably the highlight of the night, and possibly because Tiago was so entertained by it, was the fuck show. I recognize the bottom and I’ve seen him do this a thousand times before, but the top was new to me, and very handsome and had a good dick for topping. The fuck show was always more spectacle than erotic for me, and I am impressed by the dexterity needed to pull off some of the moves. It was all impeccably choreographed, fairly acrobatic, and Tiago is amazed that after all this impressive acrobatics, the cock doesn’t seem to leave the asshole at any point of the number. The pair then makes their rounds around the room, searching for tips. When the fucking pair gets to us, Tiago implores me to get out some baht as tip. 100 baht. When the boys are back onstage, it was time for me to choose if there was anyone to off tonight. There were a few possibilities, and one old off who, once he recognized me, tried to get my attention all night. I then feel Tiago’s head on my shoulder, as he yawned. I laughed. I asked him was he sleepy. He said he was just yawning. I asked him if anyone onstage was to his liking. He took a look, and then put his head on my shoulder again. “Up to you,” he says in Portuguese, which gave me a little chuckle. "Up to you," in Portuguese lands differently for me. “What do you want to do?” I ask him. He sits up at attention, and smiles his million watt smile. “I want ice cream!” he says. I laugh. That actually sounded better than the smorgasbord that was before us. Oh no, I have changed as well. I do not feel the same sense of urgency of offing, and fucking as I have before. Or maybe because I’ve cum three times today already, twice with Tiago, and once with the Tawan twosome, so maybe I deserve this ice cream. Overall, this club holds a lot of promise. The premises were nice, the numbers were entertaining, and the boys great looking. I'll put a pin on this club for now, and will take advantage of its delights at a future date. We then go to the famous 7 Eleven at CP Tower across Silom Soi 4, where a lot of gay cruising happens. Tonight was no different, as some young Bangkok-ians were checking Tiago out. But we were there for ice cream. And after two Magnum chocolate ice cream bars later, we walk back to the apartment. No Dream Boy for me tonight, as the one with me is very very real. My last day, next post…

  40. Day 4-6: Fighting for a new life Today is a new day, and for Tiago, today is the start of a new life. His main reason to be in Thailand is to stay for at least 6 months to get training in Muay Thai, as he had in Jiu Jitsu in Brazil, and economic realities meant that doing this in Thailand is way cheaper than in Brazil. It will also enabled him to get into the Asian fighting circuit that have boasted any number of Brazilians looking for easy money doing what they love to do. Having gotten to know him for a better part of a year, first in Brazil, then having him tag along in my travels, I am confident that he has the drive, and the skills necessary, to be a success. Probably not to the top of his sport, but enough to gain the necessary experience to further a career in this realm, to either teach the sport in western countries, or mount a school and/or gym himself in his home country, among other possibilities. He is certainly making the most of whatever physical gifts he has, and taking advantage of his youth and energy, to get to the next level. I’ve often wondered how boys get into prostitution. It takes a certain intestinal fortitude to withstand the day to day demands to survive the mental and physical toll that is inherent in the profession. One Brazilian boy I’ve known describes it as a constant series of humiliations, being objectified, poked and prodded, facing constant rejection, doing constant negotiating, a lot of chasing, all for the money he will need to pay his bills. He still sticks to it, because it is lucrative, and since he has not gone to school, and doesn’t have any traditionally marketable skills, this is his greatest chance to get the most money that he needs. He knows that he won’t be young forever, so why not strike while the iron is hot? Having a fat 9-inch penis doesn’t hurt either. Tiago has told me that the rigors of sauna and bar boy life aren’t for him. He is not above selling his body for money, he says, and admits he has entertained the random offers he has gotten when he is, for example, on a Brazilian beach or at a club. But he has a more stable family life and has gotten some support from his parents whenever he needed to get bailed out from a missed rent check or to refill his kitchen pantry. And he prefers using his body for fighting, a love of his that he has cultivated since he was a teen. After getting good at Jiu Jitsu back home, he has set his sights on Thailand where he wants to spread his wings. --- We wake up at 6 AM, to catch a 9:00 AM flight to another Thai city, where Tiago’s MMA gym is. We plan on spending 3 days there, to work out his living arrangements and secure his place in the classes that he wants to take, as well as to make sure that he has face-to-face interactions with the staff of the gym to make a determination that this was really where he wants to end up. Before this, all his conversations with the gym people have been virtual, with many video conference calls to the Brazilian part-owner and some of the Brazilian fighters on staff. Nothing beats in-the-flesh interactions, and he has asked me to form my own opinions of what I will see, to help him decide if this is indeed a good decision for him to take. I get us a Grab Taxi to the airport, which amounted to 427 baht, since I always ask the driver to take highways, and the driver was able to add the 75 baht tolls to the fare: The plane ride over was fairly quick and efficient. We then took a taxi to our hotel. I splurged a little bit on a resort hotel to at least get some pampering in, while taking advantage of the resort’s many pools, great restaurants, and other cool amenities. After a quick lunch, we quickly head over to the MMA Gym, to get it out of the way. Tiago wanted to spend the whole day tomorrow to just veg out in the resort with me, before we head back to Bangkok on the third day. Any doubts Tiago had over the gym quickly melted away when we stepped out of our taxi into the gym complex. Most of the workout facilities were outdoors, and with Thailand’s sweltering heat that might not be ideal, but we see a fair number of people working out sparring with each other and with punching bags which were a-plenty. There were two practice boxing rings that I saw, and a courtyard that had people milling about. Tiago’s eyes lit up. He was impressed. We were met with a Thai employee. He spoke to us in English, and as before I explained to him that Tiago didn’t speak English well. We were lead to where the living quarters would be, and we found some Brazilians who were living at the gym. Most of them then joined us and the Thai guy to take a tour of the place. There was a stage area, where the public fights happen, we were shown some of the living quarters – kitchen, bathrooms, and the room where Tiago would be staying at. It was a modest room, a bed, a fan, some shelving, closet space. We were told there was wifi all thoughout. Tiago told me this was more than enough for him. The room afforded him privacy, and a comfortable place to rest, which is all he needs. We then met up with the Brazilian part owner. He rolled up on his motorcycle, wearing Muay Thai shorts and nothing else but his flip flops. A fighter himself, he was 35, and still very much in fighting shape not to mention fairly handsome. A typical rugged Brazilian. After some introductions, he then takes us to his office to talk business. Tiago wanted me there with him to help with the decisions. The owner was impressed that I can speak Portuguese, and made the remark that when he first got to Thailand, he spoke no English, but learned through living here many years. Tiago then commented that he hopes that will be the case for him too. I mention my journey to Portuguese, and told them all the classes in the world were no match for actual immersion and speaking it with native people. The owner spelled out how things worked in the gym, the daily routine, how much the classes were, the accommodations, the food. The owner will be able to give Tiago a discount if he helped out with setting up the gym first thing in the morning, and cleaning up at night, since he was short-staffed. He then tells Tiago on how he can earn money with helping to teach MMA to western farangs who come to the gym to learn as well. He says that with Thailand reopening, he has seen student numbers tick up again, and is expecting to be really busy going into the high season. Also, there will be some opportunities to fight locally, in Bangkok, and overseas in Cambodia, South Korea, and other nearby countries is also a possibility, to earn some extra pocket money. This all sounded good to Tiago, and to me as well. After this we were shown some gyms with weights and cardio machines that Tiago can join to maintain muscle, and to a local fighting gear store where he can get his boxing gloves, tape and others things. The owner commented that it was more expensive to buy it here than in Bangkok, and recommends that if we were heading back to the capital that Tiago do his shopping there. We then sit down for some coffee (at the air conditioned gym thankfully) and just shared stories about Brazil and Thailand. The owner is very charming, and seems to be a really awesome guy, and he shared his take on how it was to live in Thailand as a Brazilian. As Tiago and I went back to the hotel after all this, we had a long conversation about all the information that was presented to us. Both of us had a good feeling about it. Tiago’s brain was already swimming with all the things he intended to get accomplished here. Once we step of the taxi at the hotel, Tiago holds my hand as we walk back to our room, and once we were in the room he hugs me, telling me that he is grateful for this opportunity, and it wouldn’t have happened if I didn’t buy his plane tickets. I told him that it was his vision that got him here. I only greased the wheels. Plane tickets for Tiago: $453 one-way from Sao Paulo to Doha, 10k + 40k Avios points from Doha to Dubai to Bangkok. Gratitude that Tiago has shown me: Priceless We actually went back to the MMA gym later that day, because there was a public fight scheduled that featured 5 fights. I got to talk to the other Brazilians as well. Thank goodness for hot Thailand weather. All the fighters were shirtless, and I’ve lost count of the abs that I’ve seen total. The fights were well attended, with some farangs sprinkled in a mostly Thai audience. They sold some food and liquor during the fights, which I bet is a money maker for the owners. As promised by Tiago, we spent the next day just vegging out. The pool, strolls around the resort complex, pool, sex in the hotel room balcony, pool, hit the buffet and the pool bar, and then a nice dinner in one of the resort restaurants. Even if there was a whole city outside this resort, I picked it to take advantage of the amenities, and also to take a break from all the running around we’ve been doing this past 3 weeks. The next day, recharged because of the relaxing day before, and renewed because of the knowledge that Tiago will be in good hands once I leave him to his own devices next week, we were in good spirits. Tiago left his big luggage behind at the gym since he was coming back, and left with just the necessities for the rest of my stay with him in Bangkok. We consolidated all of our things into my big luggage including some in my carry-on, and then checked my big luggage at the airport for our flight to Bangkok. That was a mistake, as I left something in the checked bag that almost ruined my night. That’s next post.

    Back in Bangkok

I have finally made it back to BKK! It is two years since I was here last, my first time in the city, and I have had to cancel the trip at least twice during that period because of Covid. I long debated whether i would come this time with all the restrictions still in place and the danger of testing positive and ending up in a hospital for 10 days! I arrived at 5am this morning, was in my room and tested by 6.30am. The test results came back all clear at 1.30pm. Not a bad turnaround I suppose. In June last year I picked up an amazing flight deal which worked out at 50% of the normal price of return Premium Economy with Swiss. It turns out that the tickets were in fact Business Class, so probably only about 20% of the usual cost. Swiss Business is not the best in the world, but still comes with a lie flat bad so it was plenty good enough for me, that and kick starting the holiday with very many glasses of champagne, there are worse ways to begin a trip. I have done a similar flight a few years ago to Vietnam and the experience was a smooth as it was then. A short hop from London Heathrow to Zurich and then the 10h30 flight to BKK. I was glad that I had printed off all the documentation - Thai Pass, Pre-departure PCR test certificate, Vaccine certificate, Hotel booking, Health Insurance cover note, as they were scrutinised at 5 different points along the route. And I mean scrutinised! At each point the documents were really looked at to make sure they all checked out. I was a little nervous because whilst I had timed everything within the rules, my pre departure test was right on the line. I could see the check in guy at Heathrow doing the maths in his head.... When I booked the flights, I also found a stunning deal for the Banyan Tree. Whilst the first night is in their "basic" room for the Day 1 test, I was able to upgrade the room for a fraction of the cost. For the week it is working out at about 50% of its usual price. The Day Test here was more expensive than elsewhere, but the service I have had has been extremely efficient. I have now had the all clear and am free to go about my business.... And get to business I have. I just had a guy from Grindr come over which was fun. I am thinking about heading over to Silom to get a massage at Paradis. A boy from there has been messaging me since I opened up Grindr. They don't appear to have had any customers today. I will wander over soon to do my bit for the local economy. After that, I think I will visit @vinapurecommended 5* eating experience and then, depending on the time, check out what the scene is like and what is open. That is, as long as the jet lag doesn't hit hard. I have had quite an exhausting day already.....

  42. A photo from our last walk on Ao Nang beach, the evening before leaving the south I had to make a new flight booking for us to return to Bangkok. We had missed our return flight due to the quarantine period. Since Thai Airways ignored my request to change our booking, I decided to give my money to a different airline for the return flight. I purchased one way tickets to Bangkok for us on Nok Air. Phang Nga bay from the air, just after takeoff from Phuket: On final approach into Bangkok, the plane flew over the mouth of the Chao Phraya River, where it snakes its way into the Gulf of Thailand Nok Air uses the old Don Mueang airport. The airport still looks much the same as it did years ago, with some renovations. Even though it's a much smaller airport than Suvarnabhumi, they still somehow managed to park the plane at a gate that required about a kilometer of walking through the terminal to reach the baggage claim hall. In Bangkok, we checked in to the same room we previously had three weeks earlier at the Furama Sathorn. The next day was Chinese New Year, February 1st. I had no plans, and that afternoon asked N what he wanted to do tomorrow. I was pleased that he didn't give me that old Thai standby answer, "up to you". I decided to go along with whatever he wanted to do for the next couple days after returning to Bangkok. He made a phone call, and told me we were going on a road trip the next day. What a nice experience he planned for us. That morning, I found myself in a very nice new Honda van with some of N's friends and two Buddhist monks in saffron robes, on a road trip to Ayutthaya. The van belonged to one his his friends, who drove. The plan for the day was visiting two large temples in the historic district of the former capital of the Ayutthaya Kingdom. For the first part of the trip, N and I sat together in the second row of seats in the van. When the two monks joined us along the way, I switched to riding shotgun in the front, the two monks sat in the second row, and N and a friend sat in the third row. As we drove through heavy Ayutthaya traffic due to the holiday, songs from the Eagles and Aerosmith were pumping from the stereo. I just went along for the ride, carefree and taking it all in, as it was N's chance to entertain me for the day. I had no plans or agenda, and it was kind of amusing to watch N having fun, and acting as the guide, as the day he had planned for us played out. Some of the best and most interesting experiences when you travel happen when you relax, and don't ask too many questions, or as the Thais say "don't think too much". In Ayutthaya, for a couple kilometers, there were vendors lining the main street that leads to the historic temple district. The vendors all sell the same thing - huge bags of air puffed and brightly colored fish food, and small live fish in plastic bags. The live fish are sold for release in the temple ponds, for merit making. This was the first time I've seen these huge bags of brightly colored fish food for sale anywhere in Thailand. I have seen containers of small fish food pellets, and bags of day-old bread for sale near many other wats around Thailand, but not these giant sized bags of vividly colored fish food. Apparently these Cheetos-looking fish snacks are something unique to Ayutthaya. Not to miss out on any potential customers, this vendor also had bags of day-old bread, and bags filled with fish food pellets for sale. They can be seen in the lower right portion of the photo. The first temple we went to was a Buddhist temple with a heavy Chinese influence. There was a huge gold Buddha statue inside the main building. The place was packed with people due to the Chinese New Year holiday. I'm not sure what this man is doing, but he's holding an open bottle of Big C brand cooking oil in one hand and a white lotus bud in the other hand. Of course the lotus bud is commonly found in temples, used in prayer rituals, but the cooking oil? The tuk tuks in Ayutthaya are a different type than the Bangkok style. They are kind of a mini songtaew, with two bench seats in the back, running along the sides. In the front, there is a steering wheel, not handlebars. Also, the front cab has doors, with roll-up windows. They remind me of the three wheeled vehicles that were still in use in rural Japan until the 1980's. This red model is kind of sporty, complete with a set of vintage mag wheels. The second temple we visited had a huge ancient chedi, There was a very steep staircase, where you could climb up into the inside of the chedi. Once up in the chedi, we looked down through an iron grate to see two monks far down inside the base of the chedi, sitting and counting large piles of coins. In the center of the photo, the staircase is visible, with people climbing up into the chedi. We had a fun day trip, and it was good to see Ayutthaya once again, after many years. The following day N insisted we take a tuk tuk ride in Bangkok. I hadn't been in a Bangkok tuk tuk in more than 30 years, but I did not want to deny him his fun. It was my last full day in Thailand, and rather than resist, I decided not to "think too much". Of course, N chose a tuk tuk that made a mandatory stop at an Indian tailor shop on the way, one of the most common tourist scams in Bangkok. The way it works is that if the tuk tuk driver delivers potential customers to a certain prearranged shop, for each visit, they receive a stamp. After filling a card with 10 stamps from the shop, the driver receives 4 liters of free fuel from the shop. Usually these shops are either jewelry stores or tailor shops. So we spent 5 minutes inside, looking at bolts of cloth that could be made into clothing. I had no intention of buying anything, and in 5 minutes, we were back on our way. Our tuk tuk as it entered Silom Road, with Saladaeng Road on the left. Looking back on my quarantine experience, as it worked out, it was really not as bad of an experience as it could have been. I can think of many worse places to be than being sequestered in a hotel room with a hot Thai boy for 8 nights of mandated quarantine. I could have just as easily have caught covid at home, and not in Thailand as I did. But then I would have been in isolation by myself, instead of with N. Luckily, I had enough time in Thailand, and the quarantine happened early enough in our trip that with some strategic juggling of our schedule, we were able to travel everywhere we had planned to, with one exception. The only planned location we had to cancel on this trip due to the time spent in quarantine was a few days in Pattaya. But Pattaya will still be there waiting for my next trip. One benefit of this quarantine escapade is that I didn't need to spend time in Bangkok during my last full day in Thailand to get a covid test to enter the USA. Under the revised US CDC rules, if you can show a positive covid test result within the past 90 days, and have a medical certificate clearing you for travel, no test is required to enter the US. Upon showing these medical papers at Suvarnabhumi, there was no issue checking in for my flight without a covid test. In case you are interested to know what the quarantine expenses were, I paid 30,500 baht for N to stay in the hospitel with me. I exchanged money only once, at the beginning of my trip in Bangkok, enough to cover the entire trip. I then deposited this money in my K-bank account, so I could withdraw it at ATM's. Using the exchange rate at the time I bought my stack of baht, N's quarantine equated to about 910 US dollars. This amount covered both his hotel fee and the hospital charges, and included N's ambulance ride. The hotel and hospital fees were billed separately. My hotel fee and hospital charges came to 41,500 baht for the 8 nights, and there was no fee for an ambulance ride, as I drove myself to the hospitel. This difference in pricing is because of dual pricing for Thai citizens and farang tourists. And this was with my second PCR test being paid for by the Thai government under the amended rules for the 7 night Test & Go program. I have read that some people have been charged far more than this amount to be quarantined in other parts of the country. It probably helped that we were not near any cities. Khao Lak is not heavily developed, and is very lightly populated. I'm guessing in Bangkok or other large cities, the charges may have been substantially more. It also helped that we only needed to quarantine for 8 nights each, not the 10 days they originally told us we would be staying. Several times during our month together, N told me that he really liked to be able to get away from Bangkok. He said he enjoyed being in quiet locations with not so many people, like the bungalow resort where we stayed for a few days. I surely hope to see N the next time I travel to Thailand, and I made that clear to him. He has sent me messages already since I left, telling me he wants to travel with me again next time. Another evening view from the 12th floor balcony of our room at the Furama Sathorn, my last night in Thailand. With the way the world has dramatically changed in the last couple years, I just hope that it won't be much longer until many more people will travel to Thailand, and bring the tourist income that that is so much needed by many people and businesses there. Even though we had to be quarantined, I had a really nice time in Thailand. Would I go again under the same circumstances? You bet I would. It sure beats sitting at home looking out the window, and waiting for who knows how long for the pandemic and travel restrictions to come to an end. I've already started thinking about where I want to travel on my next trip to Thailand. I am counting the days until my next flight to Thailand, when I hear those electrifying words on the loudspeaker, "Ladies and gentlemen, this is the captain speaking. In a few minutes, we will be landing in Bangkok". Until that magical moment arrives, I will continue to be the daydreamer.

  43. Day 8 . It went without saying that we will have repeat of the day and night today. I don’t even remember who said it first but it was obvious. Tip was increased substantially as good work should be rewarded properly . Breakfast in French restaurant on the corner, very cheerful waitress who seemed to like N very much thank you and I was pretending I don’t notice it. Quite sumptuous with signature crispy fresh baguettes , I liked it very much, tasty , classy and filling. He went to his room and then to gym, I chose internet exercises in the room. As mentioned before I was subject of massive attack from that Grindr guy and tried to fend his messages off until around noon got tired and decided finally to go to Pattaya proper. Rest of daylight was spent walking about and it was quite depressing sight with all those shops and restaurants boarded or at least closed. Walking street completely dead bar one survivor – 7/11. On another hand signs of clinging to life were encouragingly numerous, I had a dinner in newly opened kebab restaurant on 2nd street. Few massages were opened with guys anxiously waiting for customers, a lot of walker along Beach Rd and girls ubiquitous, forced to take their trade to the streets with bars closed but generally Pattaya was bit depressing sight with devastation much more pronounced that in Bangkok. Alt Heidelberg closed but Berliner café and Salt and Pepper still operating. Few quite big hotels closed, in others only few windows were lit. Surprisingly exchange rates in few still opened places were at least as good as in Swampy’s basement by train station. Sunee – dead, those complaining in the past about Arabs racing motorbikes now have their day, sois quiet like pre-pandemic funeral home. Boyztown, dead zone with only Scandic opened with 3 guys on duty , one of them veteran of many years there. But baht busses still 10 baht. Internet café in soi post office still opened and tailor in Pattayaland also did not give up. Not as cheerful like before but still standing. So Pattaya girls and boys are not giving up, no matter what trade they are in. It was darkening when I returned to Complex , straight to N’s shop for massage and right after I extracted him from there by way of paying 300 off fee and we went to Agate greeted by knowing smile of lady at reception. If last night was steamy , this one , my last in Pattaya for now , was nothing short of volcano , geyser, earthquake e.t.c. I think people of certain age should conduct themselves with more dignity and modesty but since nobody was watching us I took an option to be young again with quite a success ending day 8 well stretched and exercised.

    Trip report

After reading so many trip reports on here I thought it was time I contributed back as I've just finished a 4 week stay in Thailand. I'm afraid it won't be as good as many of the excellent reports on here but Ill do my best. My trip consisted of Bangkok, Phuket and Pattaya. All of my hotels were booked through Agoda and I had great deals in all 3 cities through the app. I'll break it down in to 5 posts in this thread but it might take me a while to get all the posts up as I'm still playing catch up with work. Post 1 will be general planning/entry into the country, Post 2 Bangkok report, Post 3 Phuket report, Post 4 Pattaya report and Post 5 general observations (including info on internal flights). So here goes Post 1... My trip planning started on 1st November when the Thailand pass become live. I realised there were going to be many hurdles to overcome but I was determined after a 2 year break from the country. I juggled about whether to book the flight first or apply for the pass first, in the end I applied for the pass and kept fingers crossed it would be approved. The preparation took me quite a few hours because it was a nightmare trying to understand how to convert all the documents into jpg (something that I don't think is required now with later modifications). It took 3 days for my pass to be approved and 5 days later with pass in hand I was finally on a plane again to Thailand. Arrival into Bangkok Arrived 8 am and Suvarnabhumi airport was very well organised. As soon as I left the plane and turned right there were plastic chairs in the corridor. We asked to move along to the first available vacant chair. The chairs seemed to be in batches of about 30. This was first 'provisional' check of documents where a team swept through and checked we had the correct documents and asked us to put them in a particular order ready for the official check. This took only about 5 minutes but once our batch of people had been checked we were then asked to move forward to the Thailand Pass desk for the official check. They checked the pass and also wanted to the plane seat number (squeaky bum time because the plane I was on was full). Everything ok, took literally less than a minute and then on to immigration. Immigration was brilliant - no queues and all barriers removed - I walked straight up to a desk. Got my 30 day stamp, picked up my luggage and then into the arrivals hall where we were greeted with all the hotel reps and looked for the Trinity Silom sign form my 24 hour incarceration. I was put in a van on my own which I previously requested by email. I think from leaving the plane to getting into the van took 15 - 20 minutes. It felt good to be in Thailand again but apprehensive of getting over the quarantine hurdle. Quarantine I was take into the basement of the hotel and immediately had a swab for the PCR. It was about 10 am and asked how the long the result would take and they told me tomorrow morning. It was a bit nerve wracking thinking of the 'what ifs' but a shower and then some sleep. About 12 noon some lunch delivered outside the door and then to my surprise at 1pm (just 3 hours after arrival) the phone rang. Sir we have your results... and we have to inform you (gulp)... it is negative so you are free to check out when you want. I didn't want to stay in prison any longer than necessary so I immediately got onto Agoda and got a great deal at another hotel. I checked out, was given a copy of the PCR negative result and lateral flow test which I was told just for me to check after 7 days, no mention of reporting the result or about any apps. After checking out of the quarantine hotel I headed into the Bangkok streets for the adventure...

  45. PART 1, common stuff This trip came even as surprise to myself. I was planning to go somewhere lese but things did not work so I was left with both free time and untouched travel fund allotted for that trip not to even mention desire to travel. So I decided to look for some last minute options and one of my friends who actually spent December there suggested Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. Him not being gay did not even realize how illustrious that advise sounded to me in view of supposed vast gay scene there and 273 clicks later my package consisting flight , hotel, breakfast and airport transfer in PV both ways was purchased. All I had to do was to pack, get some information both tourist and about the scene and wait few days for an actual flight to take that week long vacation. This was my third visit to Mexico but last being 20 years ago almost to the day and then free from any boy hunting made me feeling I’m discovering uncharted territory specially that previously I was in different parts of country. Puerto Vallarta is on Pacific coast in the bottom od quite vast Banderas bay and is quite big city of about 200 000 which was good new meaning there’s something to do if weather interferes. September is not a best time to go there according to my information as it is rainy season but it turned much better than expected. City was still full of vacationers , mainly Mexicans, but not crowded, flight both ways was about 2/3 full and rainy season turned quite pleasant with sunny mornings and afternoons, it was raining daily early evening but with exception of one day rain lasted 1-2 hrs max. One day deluge lasting from 6 pm to at least 3 am, perhaps longer but I fall asleep so don’t know did not stop me from having fun, all I need was to wring my shirt before entering strip bar . More about that later. City is neatly divided into 4 parts , from airport going south Marina section , then Hotel Zone changing into Centre and than after crossing the river , Zona Romantica, main entertainment and above everything else, gay entertainment part. Small island between that Zona and Centre has best art crafts market in whole city in my opinion and no souvenir shopping should be done without visiting there. Speaking about crafts , after my previous visit to Mexico out of all countries I visited and I visited more than one I rated that country along with Peru , Morocco , Iran , India and Myanmar as best place to shop but not any more as , like almost everywhere cheap, Chinese produced stuff , uniformly looking takes most of space of shelves although still a lot of interesting stuff can be found. It’s quite possible that situation in other parts of country like Mexico city is much better but PV did not impress me that much when comes to that stuff. Communication is easy, taxis are everywhere and bus system easy to master with fares of 10 peso = 50 US cents. What to do there other than shopping , strolling along Malecon and of course enjoying the ocean’s warm waters ? ( gay part will come in a while ). Out of 6 full days there I stay in the city for first and last , middle part of stay devoting to day time trips visiting attractions listed below. Vallarta Botanical Gardens, 45 minutes bus trip, fare 1.50 USD one way, cut out of jungle with trekking and river bathing options with good restaurant on the site. Take bathing suit and towel. Jungle trek along the shore from Boca de Tomatlan ( 30 minutes by bus , 50 cents ) taking about 3 hours with possible sunbathing and swimming on few secluded small beaches , including one I had just to myself for good hour. It end in Las Animas where you can have a lunch and return by boat ( 200 peso = 10 USD ) to Boca and back to PV by bus for another 50 cents. Sayulita , small but very popular city with good beach and plenty of attractive boutiques for shoppers and known for good surf. Buses from Wal Mart in Marina part of PV going there every ½ hr , trip takes 1.5 hr one way and cost heart stopping 1.5 $ USD = 30 peso. Yelapa, secluded beach village accessible only by boat, 400 peso = 20 USD round trip from PV. There’s beach , restaurants and 2 waterfalls, smaller close to the village , bigger one requiring 1-1.5 hr trek one way. I opted for big one and it was not a right decision in rainy season as getting there requires crossing the river which after last night rain was quite swollen and I backed up afraid that if something would happen to me , nobody knew as I was there alone. So wait for dry season to get there. My package included stay in Tropicana hotel very conveniently located on the beach , just south of Zona Romantica, 15 minutes walk to Anthropology ( soon you will learn why it’s important ), steps from Blue Chairs gay hotel and beach. In short location was excellent. When combing gay sites I learned they hotel is very gay friendly so it made me even more excited. I was assigned room on the last floor with view almost to die for. Room was spacious , had balcony, hotel had not one but two pools. What for with ocean just outside the gate I don’t know but both were occupied heavily during day. Disappointing part for hotel of this class and first quarter of 21 century was no internet in the room , only in common areas on ground level. I solved it by buying SIM card with data for 150 peso = 7.5 USD but still was disappointed. There was no kettle in the room to make tea or coffee , again I solved it by bringing my own immense water heater and metal cup. Drinking water was provided but only 2 bottles for the whole stay, not daily. And final, gay friendly doesn’t mean guest friendly. Guest was required to register, obtain bracelet removed subsequently on departure and host was supposed to pay 300 peso -= 15 USD joiner fee. All this in place charging 80-130 $ per night !!! When compared to Thailand we can see that hotel value there is much , much , much better. Still I would stay there again, mainly because of location and view – almost all rooms have unobstructed ocean view but only as part of package. Having flight and hotel cost me only 260 $ more than just flight only for the same dates so daily rate was slightly above 30 $, it’s why I’m not complaining. Finally before we move to more interesting subject , since this is Mexico we need to mention crime situation and here I have very good news for you. In Puerto Vallarta it is not your concern. I was walking nightly through in parts very deserted streets very late , sometimes at 1-2 pm and never ever had reason for concern. On the first day I arrived in hotel at 7 pm , by time I settled it was dark and went about the completely unknown to me city and it was all peaceful and quiet , of course with exception of being close to raucous gay and straight bars ( gay ones were noisier ). I had one more attraction included in the package , unknown to me. When we landed we were greeted with news that 3 hours earlier there was earthquake. Then when about the city on my fist night I went to restaurant I was told that they may close soon as they expect tsunami warning which did not materialize fortunately. Finally , deep into night when I arrived from Anthropology ( soon , soon , relax ) around 3 am and went to bed before I fell asleep I felt hotel dancing and it lasted good 40 seconds if not more. It was pretty strong but not strong enough to create damage. Not a first earthquake in my life but still memorable experience. Gay part coming most likely tomorrow

  46. Part 21: Stuck in rainy Bangkok... Yesterday evening just after I left my hotel to go for dinner, it started to rain. Decided to quickly find a dry place to shelter. So I went to Telephone Pub in Soi 4. Here I could have something to eat, drink, watch what happens in the soi and wait for the rain to hopefully stop falling soon. Stuck in Telephone Bar because of the rain But that didn't happen. It rained hard. And for a long time. The streets started to flood. Food thing the terraces of the bars are a bit higher than the street itself. So I ended up being stuck in Telephone bar for a good two hours until it started to rain less and it was oke to try to run in between the raindrops to another place. By that time the rain had killed my mood. So also that night no naughty bar visits for me... Another drink on the terrace and than an early night for me this time. During daytime I like to be out and about, walking around Bangkok with some music or podcast on my headphones. Today I decided to check out the “Green Mile Bangkok”. This elevated walking path connects two of Bangkok’s big parks, Lumpini Park and Benjakitti Park. The latter one recently had a new expansion: the Benjakitti Forest Park. It’s a beautifully designed urban wetland, with skywalks and paths running through and over a manmade nature reserve. It really looks nice. Benjakitti Forest Park The Green Mile itself is a fun place to stroll along and look down to watch daily life pass by. It gives you another look at Bangkok. Not the concrete urban jungle of skyscrapers, but old houses here for decades and more recent shacks in varying states of disrepair, backdropped by the spires of modern Bangkok. The Green Mile While I'm writing this, I am chilling at the rooftop hotel pool. And whatever happens tonight, rain or no rain, I will have to visit the gogo bars! I only have two night left in Bangkok and can't leave without my fair share of naughty bar visits... Lol

  47. This will just be a short update report, I spent a long visit to Thailand a few months ago and this trip was just a side visit because I was 'in the area'. Taking every opportunity that arises I spent a week between Bangkok and Pattaya, too short to get to all of the bars I wanted, but long enough to get a feel for the recovery. My prior trip was still enjoyable, but dealing with the Thailand pass hoops and the shifting sands of closing time restrictions, outdoor 'restaurant' seating only, and other covid measures did put a cloud over things. I'm happy to say a lot of these hurdles are now gone, and the life in the bars is returning. Firstly, getting there: No more Thailand Pass paperwork 👍 Vaccine paperwork not checked on arrival, just at check-in 👍 Immagration was a 15 minute affair, just as before 2020 👍 Flight prices are crazy and my flights were full 👎 The exchange booths in the basement adjacent to the aiport station were open, 2 with identical rates, then the one bank (i cant recall which) booth with worse rates. Up a few levels and out to a Taxi, it felt so good to be in and out of the airport in 30 mins, in a taxi zipping down the motorway to Silom. Bangkok The first thing I always do is walk the Surawong, Tawan, Silom Rd, Thaniya block. It was around 8pm for reference. Surawong: Olivia massage was open with 8-10 guys (1-2 twinks), Green Massage was about the same. Tawan side: I think I counted 3 massage shops with guys outside, more muscle guys. Silom to the right of soi Tawan: A new shop Nineteen massage, I only saw 2-3 guys out front, none I fancied so I didn't poke my head in. Silom past patpong/soi4/soi2: The touts are back, a few massage offers from the guys outside Soi 4 for Adam Massage. The soi 4 bars were open and a bit of foot traffic, which was a good sign. On the path back from Thaniya I believe Amolir was open again, but I missed it in my notes on whether it is still mixed-sex or only ladies. The massage places are coming back to life, much more choice than earlier this year. I returned to Patpong later, and was flanked by touts as I stroll up the stairs to Fresh Boys... busy busy busy. They were down to 2-3 open benches left, there was about 25 guys on stage and waiting in rotation. Most of the guys I would describe as twunks, 3-4 twinks, shirtless in white booty shorts and a couple of cute waiters. The shows are never my highlight, but they at least have big cock pole kicking back I guess. My off was a bit of a dud, seemed to be new to the scene, but it's still good to be back. On the following afternoon I decided to investigate Olivia Massage, just as I picked my massuese another guy walked out that would have absolutely been my first choice. Oh well, I'm not going to let the guy down and switch half way in the door with him. Now I don't think i've been to Olivia before, I was under the impression it was generally considered a 'extras' kind of place. The guy I picked stayed fully clothed and made no advance to asking for extras, I made some not so subtle hints but he didn't take the bait. He was very new, very limited massage skills and no english. I made my way to Banana room after dinner at G's, Banana had i think 8-12 guys, still more twunks but a few options for me. I didn't end up taking anyone, just some drinks and enjoying the views. My final Bangkok day I did the rounds of the massage shops, but it was a bit early in the afternoon ~12pm. The guy from Olivia said hi, but the guy I really wanted to return for wasn't in. Green massage was empty this early so I did a walk past nineteen and it's too early for them too. Decided to pass and make my way back to the hotel. I had a coffee at the cafe beside The Quarter opposite mango tree (can't find on google maps). I picked beans from Chang Mai, absolutely delicious. Coffee lovers should give it a try and see if they're consistent, I only tried it once. Back at the hotel I fired up Grindr and set up a meeting with a university guy. He came over later and it was the best sex I've had in a very very long time, I was in heaven for a good 2-3 hours. We exchanged Line and I was considering canceling Pattaya to get the rest of the week with him, but I decided to hold strong and stick with the plan. I'll be back for him again another trip hopefully. That was my Bangkok stay, very brief, but some very good signs for the recovery. I'll post Pattaya in the next day or so.

  48. Watched a show in M2M. Again, enjoyed it very much. I also wanna see again the dancer, who blowed me away (figuratively) in the previous trip. He's still great, moving like a gayish ballet dancer with a lot of energy and oozing charm. Guy is obviously not the kind of twinks I'm usually into (a bit mature and a bit big). In other words, his look is not really a turn-on for me. But somehow, I can't take my eyes off him when he performs. I even picture this crazy scene: off him and watch him dance in bed for an hour But when he drags, the whole package looks really disturbing Before show, I messaged a boy asking him to come and join me in M2M, and we can go to my hotel later. He replied "I don't want to go in there". I then asked if he can go to my hotel the next day, he said "Could you change hotel. I don't like Jomtien Complex" and only agreed to meet when I explained my hotel is close to but NOT in Jomtien Complex. This is the second time I saw this Jomtien-phobia thing. Right before Covid, a boy I had before (one of my memorable offs) turned down my offer for a repeat because that time I stayed in Zing. He made it very clear: If Jomtien Complex, I not go. Those two boys have something in common: pretty young, gay, have a regular job and only do this to earn extra money. I can't figure out why they hate Jomtien Complex (I asked but they wouldn't say). Any thoughts? So the next day, after an afternoon session with the boy who hates Jomtien, my boy quota for the day was met. Evening, I went to Winner Boy bar just to watch boys having fun in underwear. There were 9 boys working that night (one already got offed before I arrived) and 4 or 5 groups of customers, most of whom sat outside, only one inside with two boys. I bought drink for the first boy who approached me and we got talking. Little did I know, I got to hear his life story for the whole next hour He's from Bangkok, 25 years old, gay, vers top, started his MB career at Kawaii go-go bar in Boyztown when he was 17 (that means he was underaged and had to, his words, "run" whenever the police knocked on the door). His met his farang (French) boyfriend, now ex-bf, when he was 19 and the other 58, and stayed in that relationship for 4 years (show me his arm tattoo with his ex's name). It sounds like it was serious as he brought the guy home to meet the family (show me pictures of the boyfriend taken with him and his mum) and they even discussed the possibility of same-sex marriage. He didn't know why they broke up but the ex now has a new boyfriend back in France (show me pictures of a cute Caucasian teen whom I would totally off with the permission of the said boyfriend). Note to self: try to find cute boys who used to have farang boyfriends because they speak good English. During the course of their relationship, boyfriend rented him a room, told him to quit his go-go job and also not to let other boys stay with him. But he kept working without the other knowing because, he said, some months boyfriend only sent 10K and the room alone already cost 8K (it was a nice room), he didn't have enough money left for food and other stuff so he had to work. Boyfriend visited him three times each year, stayed roughly a month each. Whenever he visited, they had sex every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day, it was too much for him, especially because he had to bottom while prefer being a top. It looks like the boyfriend was also a bad influence on him in the way that the former drank and smoked heavily. He said he was drunk all the time whenever the French guy visited and also became a chain-smoker himself. Now he can cut down on drinking, but couldn't give up smoking despite trying. Then he cheated and got a Thai boyfriend, who stayed with him in the same room the French rented for him. Once they video-called and the farang got glimpse of the other boyfriend, he got jealous. Next time they video-called, he made the poor lad go around the house with his phone camera, even into the toilet, to prove that there was no one else in the house Then he cheated some more and got another farang supporter, who also sent him money every month until he died of Covid. I asked the boy if he prefers Asians and he said "sure, any time". Without taking into consideration financial support, he would go for Asian boyfriends only. Anyway, back to his stories. Difficult times came with Covid. He went home to his mom for one year, then couldn't get along with her new boyfriend-cum-business-partner so he left and went back to Pattaya. Stayed in Winner Boy bar with 4 other boys for almost a year. Although his boss tried to support them as much as he could (providing accommodation, food ingredients and cookware so they can cook for themselves) and occasional customers who came to off them secretly from the closed bar, there were days he had nothing to eat or even had to pawn his cell phone to buy food. He gave a lot of credit to his boss, saying "we survived because we have a good boss". Now he moved out and can afford to have his own room but it's still difficult. He only had one customer in the last two weeks. The current room rent + utility bills cost 2.5K, he needs around 200 for food per day and another 100 for cigarette, so roughly 12K per month to live on. Back in Kawaii days, he said, he earned a lot of easy moneys, many days with two offs and customers were often more generous than the 1500ST/2500LT standard rate (now, he's willing to go ST for just 1000). He said he spent all that money on visiting karaoke host bars often having as many as 4 or 5 boys sit with him in one session (he's gay after all). So it's that funny cycle: he spent money from people who liked him on boys he liked, he used the support from his farang boyfriend to support his Thai boyfriend. His farang boyfriend f*cked him who in turns f*cked his Thai boyfriend (the so-called boy-on-boy-on-boy arrangement). I noticed that he talked about cheating quite nonchalantly like it was just the way of life, a fair exchange, not something morally wrong or shameful. This is the first time I digged into a Thai MB's complicated relationships with multiple partners-cum-supporters, so I don't know if this also speaks for others. He concluded his story, saying with regret: I used to have a lot of money, but I didn't save. Now I learned how to save but I don't have much anymore. It was 10.30 pm when I left. The bar was empty of customers except for one blond-haired farang sitting in a corner with a new boy who just showed up for work today (24 years old, nice ass, very sexy and revealing undies). They did something quietly for more than an hour, ordering several rounds of drinks and the boy later took a large tower to cover certain parts of his body (under-the-table activities under way I presume). Most boys also left (probably no hope for more customers to come). The only waiter (a chubby Thai with highlighted hairs in his mid-30s) nodded off in another corner. Boy told me he's the owner's boyfriend (who's 61, sitting outside with the only remaining boy) and they have been together for 13 years. My soft drink was 90, boy drink was 150. I gave the boy 500 for his time. I would see him again for other activities. The boy has good genes. Despite everything he had been through, smoking, drinking, Covid and all, still look quite boyish with a lean, supple body. To a Westerner, he may look like he's still in high school who took to wearing underwear as his uniform.

  49. Day 24 Trip is about to finish and nothing reminded me about that sad fact more than morning trip to a Pulse clinic on Silom to do mandatory pre-departure PCR test. Airline requires it and so does my country . 3100 baht instead of going to long time off went to the clinic but I still was happy that I did not need to look for a place to do it, clinic is right there in Silom and advertises test option on the front door . Quite upscale place and very efficient, I was surprised how busy it was but it’s well known place to go for men’s sex health problems, Covid test is just a side business. I found price good value since the same pre-departure test at home cost me about 4600 baht. I was told result is guaranteed before midnight as long as test is done before 4 pm , result will come by e-mail but if I want paper copy of it I can pick it up before 6 tomorrow. All that is joy of travelling in covid time I guess. Rest of morning I spent wandering around Silom markets in soi 8 and soi 5 on opposite side , took some market pictures for folks at home and made slow trek to soi Sri Bumphen , opposite Malaysia hotel where I was supposed to have a lunch with Chritian PFC. On my way I checked Prince in soi Suan Plu, closed although without any signs so hopefully will go back to life after restrictions will be removed. Passed by another man-to-man massage place I-Come then I took shortcut through side soi where surprisingly I spotted mamasan from Fresh Boys on the motorsai taxi. In the middle of 10 million city , in the side soi! Time to buy lottery tickets. Right after I received Line message from model X confirming our meeting and suggesting we have a dinner before home visit, why not , we settled on the place and that was my lottery win I guess. I don’t recall name of the place were supposed to eat with Christian but it’s well established there according to him. I arrived first , ordered beer and in few minutes Christian showed up. Food was great indeed so reputation of place was not exaggerated. We had nice talk about his stay in Cambodia, papal visit in Thailand back in 2019, I got souvenir hat and a book about the event from Christian and of course we talk about boys. Since I was in the area I got moment of enlightenment that I can go and see T at Sabaidee, short walk distance from there but he responded in Line that he is busy and won’t be there before late afternoon when I had plans with X already. Later on by sheer coincidence I learned who he was busy with . Since it did not work I turned to plan B and took motorsai to Arena. For years I used to start every trip from visit there but times changed I guess but going up, all the same like before I feel that nice tingling which I feel only when going there and Senso, nowhere else. I was greeted by veteran mamasan Art who after perhaps 4 years since we meet last time still recognized me, remembered that I used to off Dit often and informed me that Dit went home already well before covid time. Hi got some weight but when I touch his stomach is was still steely like before. He used to give quite good massage in his younger days. Selection now , in mid-day was limited, 3 muscly and tattooed hunks in later 30ties and 2 twinks of which I selected one. I did not go by smile since all 5 smiled nicely . My choice turned out to be good one, massage was good, twinky body still shapely and muscular and equipment impressive, what’s more important not mutilated by any dubious enhancements like silicon, mooks , etc. 1500 for the boy , 700 for the shop and 100 for Art. I’m glad I went there and in all those years I think I had only one time when I was not satisfied there. Then to Suriowong where X and me were supposed to dine. He arrived impressively on time and appeared more sexy than he was yesterday with tight, partially unbuttoned short sleeve shirt showing his shapely, muscular chest and biceps tightly fitting into those sleeves. Hot, hot, hot !. And that for me ? Judging by the looks of staff in restaurant not only I was impressed. Dinner was very down to earth affair as I had you know what and he ordered something ordinary as well, without any fireworks like expensive seafood. Conversation , all the same like yesterday was lively and when lottery seller showed up suddenly I recalled that chance meeting of Fresh Boy mamasan in side soi earlier today and bought him two tickets. He promised to share spoils with me but since I did not hear from him yet I understand he is waiting until I return to Thailand, LOL Than at his suggestion we walked to my hotel where no time was wasted on stamp collection , we moved to solve climate crisis right away. Like happens very often , second meeting was better than first, if that’s at all possible, because we knew each other better and I liked him even better too. No wonder 18past 19 was so impressed , now I’m even more. What about tomorrow? Turned out his schedule was packed but after some head scratching he come with late afternoon idea which fitted to my plans nicely with enough time to see T before and pack and go after. Long hug before he went away was worth depleting my treasury , I still wonder how just hand holding session with him would work out ?. Since today is my last full day I’m not done yet. Another member Anddy returned to BKK after some travel in provinces and today is our first and last chance to meet. And there’s that smiling boy from Jupiter I noticed in beginning of my trip and I was thinking about offing because of that smile. Now I become even more determined after I learned from another member about some gross misfortune at his home. So like my first night this trip, my last was meant to be spent visiting soi 4. Waiting for anddy I parked myself in front of Jupiter but immediately message from him came on Line that he is dining in German restaurant and saw me passing by so I went to see him there. After we caught with news I suggested we go to Jupiter and we arrived just in time for boys parade , my intended guy was not there but I pointed to anddy another one I like, very, very handsome in Jupiter boys style. Anddy said he looks very straight . Anyways I have mission so called mamasan , show him picture of smiling guy on my phone and he told me today is his day off but he will call him and in few minutes announced he is on his way. Great ! Waiting we watched show , than , all smiles my guy arrived , agreed to long time on the spot so we finished out drinks, I paid off fee , we waved good bye to anddy and went home. Guy on reception did not even blink an eye seeing me with another guy this evening but really , why should he? Since tonight is my last night and smiling boy is my third encounter today we settled on slow moving romantic stuff , like in his embraces I wanted to preserve memories of this trip and all guys I was with before he crowned that adventure. No, he did not stop smiling at all. Fitting end of day 24 , quite packed with fun and smiles all over.

  50. Day 5 While yesterday was social day, today is an infrastructure day. I decided to do the survey of new Bang Sue Grand Station as well as new electric rail line branching out there. Went there by MRT / subway /. Grand Station is labelled as biggest railway station in Asia which I can’t confirm due to lack of experience with other stations but is very big indeed. Certainly planned with foresight with signs and platforms labelled ‘ High Speed Trains”. Some my see it as wishful thinking but I actually like it. One day it may prove useful and handy. With Hualampong scheduled to close sooner or later ( it was supposed to close on Dec 23 but is still working station it will be terminus of all Bangkok trains. For now , until it will happen there are two electrical lines starting there ; Dark Red SRT to Rangsit via Don Muang and Light Red SRT to Tailing Chan via Bank Bamru. I tried both. In meantime I was also busy on Line trying to convert T to LT material and when it did not work at least to invite him to my room for an extended session at 3 pm, idea he was receptive to. Rangsit trains are running every 20 minutes and are travelling at quite a speed, certainly nothing to be ashamed of. Carriages are very modern although at the moment line don’t seem to be overused. Main advantage is that it stops at Don Muang. I did survey that option after travelling all the way to Rangsit , 20 odd minutes and we are there. On return I alighted at Don Muang. Red Line station is bit less convenient than old SRT station located just across terminal, it’s station is at terminal’s end , quite a walk but with food court on the way so I had lunch there. As in Swampy they use coupon system there. You need to check how much your selection cost , buy the proper value of coupons and return to get your meal. Old trains from Hualampong usually take about 1 hr. to get to Don Muang while using new MRT / SRT RED Line connection one can be there in only 60 minutes from Hualampong since walk from MRT station to SRT platform is quite a long one. Of course if one is boarding somewhere in Suhkumvit area or further north new option is much faster and certainly more convenient. So in short we have finally proper public transport connection to and from Don Muang with trains running fast and frequently while old Hualampong option while much cheaper had limited us due to gaps between trains, sometimes 2 hours or more not to mention fact that city bound trains were often late coming from all those Ubons and Udons. Next , shorter but more scenic because is crossing Chao Praya is Light red which I took toward Bang Bamru station , handy if one wants to visit boat shaped Wat Chelo temple, about 1.5 km from the station. (see picture below) All it took good part of day and when I arrived at Raya bit late for our 3 p.m. appointment T was already waiting for me on the street. He was curious how I liked party yesterday / yes , very very much / and how was my walk / easy and singing / and we went to eat something to restaurant across hotel then returned to the room to have good time oiled by his hunky built with Issan type assets and promised / negotiated tip ( I’d say overtip but I was happy and still am ) . Nothing came out of long time but he suggested he will go with me for a day to Pattaya when I revealed I’m heading there. Out talk was mostly through Google translate and I need to warn users to be careful as at one point it lead to an embarrassing moment when I asked my usual question whether he likes girls or boys better and he become kind of upset , then his answer came “what do you mean sex with chil….n” ? Google translate for you I guess . I hastily explained that by ‘boy ‘ I meant ‘poochai’ (man ) but that moment of suspension was bit unpleasant one. Ensured me he is going with me to Pattaya tomorrow, after 4 entertaining hours he left and I was forced to start looking for hotel. My intention was to sleep in Copa but Agoda sent me e-mail that they can’t accommodate me at my dates , translation is because of closures they did not bother to open. But fortunately those days vacancies abound and it turned out Agate in jomtien complex will be opened so I booked 3 night there for 3800 payable at hotel on check in. Great deal for such good hotel. Jet lag is on it’s last legs but still lingering so I collapsed at 8 pm and it’s how my day 5 finished. Below is Wat Chelo mentioned above, picture Christian PFC made when we visited temple back in Sept -2017
