  1. No pictures yet, but I am reliably informed that today's re-opening of Winner Boys was a great success. Between fifteen and sixteen boys in the bar, and dancing in underwear! Quite a few 'offs' reported and most boys saying they got 5 or 6 drinks each. So a steady flow of customers. Lets hope that this is only the start of the bar's recovery.

    Thai Pass

I just submitted my regular UK Travel Insurance Schedule, which has no specific reference to Covid, and my application was still approved in an hour.

    Thai Pass

I paid 5000....and I also have an existing policy from my bank which is much more generous. If I had an accident, for example, that is the one I'd use. However, before everyone collapses in mirth at my foolishness, I did have a reason. I paid before the simplification of the TP application. I argued (with myself!) that I didn't want anything to interfere with the granting of said pass. I reckoned that the cost was more of an entry fee than an insurance fee and that spending my money was sensible if it avoided the possibly excruciating wait before the pass was issued. Things are less fraught since 1 June. I am anxious about my return after thirty months separation from P and the inexorable encroachment of age. Nothing, nothing must go wrong. Hence my decision. Which I do not regret in the least.

    Raya Hotel

Ive stayed at raya multiple times pre-covid. The glass shower in the room i took (not the cheapest, maybe grand deluxe) is glass on the side of the bedroom but the entrance is on the other side, but there are blinds to close it. This room also have windows, if i recalled was facing soi twilight. While i dont recalled tours buses around pre-covid, there are plenty of japanese golfers staying there, which is not surprising as the hotel is an easy access to soi thaniya as well.

  7. It does not come up in a Google search. However, if you do a Google maps search for a business in Pattaya called "The Clubhouse, Home of ANMC & MDMC", you will get the business right next to it. You will have to search for the full name of the Clubhouse as given above however, as there are several other places in Pattaya witth "The clubhouse" as part of the name. This is what the Friendly Club looks like in streetview:

    TAWAN MUSCLE BAR

On Saturday night I was there for the show. Full house, about 15 boys including 3 very substantially built, quite a few very well built and YES that twink who was by the way offed quite early in the evening. Some men could use some slimming, some may be not in their prime age but muscles can, t be built too fast so it comes, with territory. About 20 spectators so when I told you house full you have an impression how small bar is. But whether you like their guys or not, it,s by the mile friendliest bar with a lot of interaction between guys, guys and customers and unheard anywhere else lipsync performers and a public. All in good natured humor and that included calling me again KFC man for 27th time this trip. I was awarded prominent seat in front of the stage, if only because I had 3 guys sitting with me, one of them new, at least for me, and very handsome faced no to mention built suitably for that bar. Show had usual lip synching singing, mild SM, muscle flexing, big cock show with participants intermingling with audience for feel and tip, wax candle and as, grand finale J/o with 2 successful participants. Of course I did not went home empty handed. What do you think, I'm a monk or something ? So for Tawan lovers great news , bar maybe smaller but familiar fun not diminished. Music and AC level proper, conversation can be had without screaming and no danger of freezing.

  9. Winner Boys set to Re-Open 1st June (Thai English of course haha) Great news, for those of you in Thailand anyway, Winner Boys in Sunee Plaza will re-open inside this coming week on 1st June from 7pm till midnight. What’s more we are promised twinks in small pants dancing on stage again (no jeans). Technically Winner Boys has never completely closed, although that was certainly threatened in the depths of Covid regulations. But it has been well over a year since it was open inside with boys dancing on stage in their underwear. (Boss Paul standing in blue shirt. A nice guy, please say Hi to him if you visit) Latterly it has only been open outside at small tables set out into the plaza. Many boys had gone home and only a handful were there on a daily basis, some actually sleeping inside the bar at nights as they had no money for a room. Great lads though and some fun nights outside there in recent holidays (I was last there in April), but its not the same as near naked boys in underwear (sometimes micro underwear). Hopefully some of you in Pattaya can make your way to this bar in the next few days and encourage more of the boys to return; just wish I was there to enjoy it with you! If you do visit please report back …. 😊 Until then a clip to remind you of why Winner Boys is such a great place to visit. video-1653821638.mp4 I include the FaceBook link for those interested: https://www.facebook.com/winnerboybarpattaya/?ref=page_internal

  11. Just checked in with both Fresh Boys and Dream Boy staffers. Positively confirmed. Also a drag show is going on right now (to celebrate ???) in the soi 4. Any members there?

  12. Sounds good - quite a few offs, 5 or 6 drinks, steady customer flow. The news should find its way to Isaan and maybe Cambodia to boys looking for better employment than the rice fields.

  13. I stand corrected. Dream Boy guys are still in jeans tonight. When I got out of Dream Boy at around 11h55, lights were already off at Fresh Boys and boys were leaving in droves. I asked some Viet boys in Vietnamese what was going on. Turns out it was a police raid. Because of the underwear issue? They said nope, just a regular check, so the bar had to close at midnight. I checked back at Dream Boy and they were closing down too.

    Gogo bar prices

I always find it interesting to read about prices on this board. I like the twinkies and usually get quoted ST between 1000 and 1500 baht. Depending on the location, it could even be less or for longer. The gay scene is very different from the girly bar scene but some tricks are universal I suppose. This video is about the girly bars but i wonder if this is going on in the male gogo bars, especially in Bangkok. What I wish would exist is a Gentelmen's club like those in Pattaya but with boys. The interesting part starts at 2:30 minutes.

    Raya Hotel

This glass shower in the room has become a thing I think. I first saw it in a room in a new hotel in Vienna, with a full view, and was glad I wasn't sharing a room with my mother or sister. A couple of years later I noticed they had frosted the lower part... customer complaints no doubt. Same type shower in a nice hotel in Spain. As an aside I think western Europeans are much more comfortable about separating nudity from sex. Body type doesn't seem so important there either.

  19. Reminds me of a massage boy I fell for online. He was adorable on the site and I booked him. I had grab take me a LONG way to get to him. I got to the massage house and was taken to the room by an old mamasan and then she started to massage. I asked what the fuck was going on. She said "massage." I pulled out my phone and tried to ask the boy. Finally, I got it was him but MANY years ago. I could not go through with it. Perhaps, if I had met him on my first trip to Thailand over 20 years back I would have had fun but even then a bit old for me.

  20. My 1st take from those questions , is that he is gay and wants to make hookups, have sex...and make money at the same time. So if he's not interested in you, he won't go or will come up with some other requirements that will make it unlikely that you will go. If he's interested, he gets sex and makes money. I stopped using apps in Asia, way too many fake/old pics....I hate only being somewhere visiting for a limited number of days and wasting it waiting for someone that isn't what they present.

  21. Agreed; neither "cheap" tourism (and this includes students in gap-years) nor downmarket sex tourists are what the Junta wants. There are still plenty of islands in the south that can be further developed with expensive hotels and golf-courses without the obvious manifestations of commercial sex. Women will be available, of course, but not the sort that parade along Pattaya Beach Road. The Japanese hostess bars along Thaniya may be the model. As far as we are concerned, further consolidation and fewer venues and "gay areas" are likely but we can cope with that, surely? We lost Saphan Kwai long ago, Sunnee and Boyztown (well, almost) more recently but the Patpong area seems to have a future while the Jomtien Complex is, we're told , already flourishing again. We shall undoubtedly be fewer in number as younger gay men prefer destinations ( and facilities) closer to home: and cultural and economic expectations may limit the numbers of young men and women choosing to work in the sex industry. At least in Thailand- if not elsewhere, yet. It is sometimes forgotten that, even in the 90s, some bars were almost empty and quickly closed . Fewer but more vibrant bars (and areas?) may provide a better environment for us.

  22. I was in New Twilight last night, around 10pm. 5 or 6 groups of customers, not bad for a rainy Monday night. 350B for a soft drink. They had 4 floor boys in total, who were fully clothed (not even a sleeve or seam off) and stayed on stage the whole time (Some members reported 20 guys during their visits, so I guess it was just my luck). Their shows, obviously home-grown, were amateurish with some performers in slow motion trying to remember their next moves One of the dancers is out of shape, bald and beer-belly in a tight, he looked more like a customer than a performer. When I left, no problems of Marmasans rushing in for a tip (maybe cuz I don't look like I have much money to throw around).

  23. As for hotel, I,d say Raya as entry is by the card and unless you are staying on 5th floor where reception is, you and your guests are invisible. As for bar all 7 actually opened are at your disposal and in very one you will find suitable celebrators. Pick one guy and let him to choose, subject of your approval another one(s), he may suggest going to another bar. Start with Hot Male as I had success there.

  25. Bondarev's Full Resignation Letter: "My name is Boris Bondarev, in the MFA of Russia since 2002, since 2019 until now – Counsellor of the Russian Mission to the UN Office at Geneva. For twenty years of my diplomatic career I have seen different turns of our foreign policy, but never have I been so ashamed of my country as on February 24 of this year. The aggressive war unleashed by Putin against Ukraine, and in fact against the entire Western world, is not only a crime against the Ukrainian people, but also, perhaps, the most serious crime against the people of Russia, with a bold letter Z crossing out all hopes and prospects for a prosperous free society in our country. Those who conceived this war want only one thing – to remain in power forever, live in pompous tasteless palaces, sail on yachts comparable in tonnage and cost to the entire Russian Navy, enjoying unlimited power and complete impunity. To achieve that they are willing to sacrifice as many lives as it takes. Thousands of Russians and Ukrainians have already died just for this. I regret to admit that over all these twenty years the level of lies and unprofessionalism in the work of the Foreign Ministry has been increasing all the time. However, in most recent years, this has become simply catastrophic. Instead of unbiased information, impartial analysis and sober forecasting, there are propaganda cliches in the spirit of Soviet newspapers of the 1930s. A system has been built that deceives itself. Minister Lavrov is a good illustration of the degradation of this system. In 18 years, he went from a professional and educated intellectual, whom many colleagues held in such high esteem, to a person who constantly broadcasts conflicting statements and threatens the world (that is, Russia too) with nuclear weapons! Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is not about diplomacy. It is all about warmongering, lies and hatred. It serves interests of few, the very few people thus contributing to further isolation and degradation of my country. Russia no longer has allies, and there is no one to blame but its reckless and ill-conceived policy. I studied to be a diplomat and have been a diplomat for twenty years. The Ministry has become my home and family. But I simply cannot any longer share in this bloody, witness and absolutely needless ignominy."
