    enjoying Brazil!

i got to Rio last Friday morning and was staying in a different Airbnb in ipanema then i usually do because the one i stayed at got sold! By 3:00 pm i had 2 cousins show up and the fun began and hasn’t ended! i have been to Brasil somewhere around a 100 times and this is definitely one of the best trips ever! 2 Brazilians came up from SP to stay at the apartment for the week. Pointe sauna was packed Friday night and had a lot of new faces! Saturday was also good there, Sunday i had a party at the apt. for 10 guys and monday back to pointe. Tuesday i went to 117, but while it was fairly packed there was a lot of the same faces i have seen for quite a few years there and 117 tends to get more muscled BB types(although it still draws from all groups i prefer the guys from Pointe but this can change fast so it’s worth checking out both places! this trip i have probably done 35% sauna guys and z65% non sauna guys. but there were a lot of new faces this trip!

    Out in the provinces

From there we drove to Hua Hin which took all day. And today was a backtrack to Phetchaburi to visit King Monkut's hill top palace and the very cool Khao Luang cave which has sunbeams that stream in around 10 AM. No photos allowed inside the palace but the rest of the outdoor spaces are very pretty. You reach the top of the hill by taking a funicular. I think it was 230 baht for the cable car ride up and back plus entry to the palace. The cave was just 10 baht. Haven't had a chance to go through the photos from the palace yet.

  5. The next day we did a visit to Sangkhlaburi which is near the border with Myanmar. Really not all that much to see given the amount of time it took to get there and back. But there is this long timber bridge called the Mon Bridge. And you can take a long boat to this old-ish temple (built in the 1950s actually) that ended up being submerged when a dam was build on the river.

  7. As one who has frequently criticised the British colonial era, especially in its actions as China disintegrated in the 19th century and the Middle East when it connived with the USA to keep oil out of the hands of the countries where it had been found, I have to agree. The British 'encouraged' the Muslim Rohingya to move to Rakhine when they 'ruled' India. But those who criticise what happened in the distant past have to bear in mind that it is impossible to reverse history. Our world exists today. We cannot undo the past. We cannot give life back to the 5 million plus Indians who were massacred during the idiotic, almost pathetic, way the partition of India was done by having a civil servant from London who had never been near india only 6 weeks to carve up a massive country. We cannot give life back to those millions of Chinese who were killed by opium at the start of the 19th century. The French and the British cannot undo the destruction they wrought at one of the great architectural monuments - Beijing's Summer Palace. The USA cannot undo its illegal war in Cambodia which directly created the power vacuum which led to the rise to power of the Khmer Rouge and the consequent genocide in Cambodia. And so on . . . and so on. As King Charles did yesterday in Hamburg, we can - and should - acknowledge the wrongs of history. Equally we must acknowledge that righting those wrongs in our present world is all but impossible.

  8. Having made contact with my regular Bangkok guy and ascertaining that he was still in Bangkok, I decided to fly up to meet him. We arranged to meet in Nature Boy/Golden Cock and to celebrate catching up after 3 years we started drinking beer. We had 3 beers each and although that probably doesn't sound a lot to many, if you are basically a non-drinker like me, it is. We returned to my hotel to catch up on lost time. After he left I really needed to piss after all that beer but was unable to do so. I stood waiting for about 10 minutes or so but even though I was busting, nothing happened. Not a drop. Not a dribble. It goes without saying that the urge to piss kept me up all night and it was unbearable. I thought there might be a blockage somewhere so decided to go to the hospital to see what was happening. As soon as I walked into the doctor's office he asked me if I'd been drinking. When I told him I had, and that I normally stuck to Coke No Sugar he told me that that was probably the cause. The bladder was too full to be emptied. So I had to take my pants of and lie down on a table. The solution? He stuck a catheter up my cock and into the bladder and began to empty it by pushing hard on my stomach. He was abley assisted by 2 female nurses and the whole procedure was witnessed by others waiting outside the curtained-off area as they didn't bother to close the curtains fully! Anyway, as uncomfortable as that procedure was, it solved the problem and I was on my way. So if you are not a big drinker and decide to over-indulge, you have been warned!

  11. From The Nation As the temperature approaches 41 degrees Celsius in some areas of the country, the Association of Occupational and Environmental Diseases of Thailand has released a list of seven recommendations to cope with health-threatening heat. The list follows a rise in public concern about the dangers of extreme heat following the sudden death on Friday of political figure Chonsawat Asavahame, 54, who reportedly collapsed from heat stroke on Thursday before dying early on Friday. 1. Avoid outdoor activity when the temperature exceeds 34 degrees Celsius. 2. Wear loose clothing made from thin fabric. 3. Drink plenty of water. 4. Get a check-up from a doctor if you have cardiovascular illnesses or other ailments and your health worsens. 5. Use air conditioning while indoors and if you feel tired or get dizzy rub your joints with a cool, wet cloth. 6. Visit or keep in contact with elderly people to make sure they are well. 7. Drink more water if your urine becomes darker as this may be a sign of dehydration.

  17. Myanmar opposition hopes for change of government in Thailand From Pattaya Mail By Barry Kenyon Opponents of junta rule in Myanmar are putting their faith in the upcoming Thai general election to bring an end to military-backed rule of prime minister Prayut Chan-o-cha. Critics of Myanmar coup leader, senior general Min Aung Hlaing, hope that a new Thai administration led by the Pheu Thai party will be more critical of the Tatmadaw (Myanmar’s armed forces). The current Thai administration, through its powerful military, has maintained close contacts with the Myanmar junta since the coup there in February 2021. Senior army personnel frequently hold meetings with their counterparts and Thai TV Channel 7, army-controlled, has carried programs encouraging tourism in Myanmar. There is mutual and ongoing cooperation on natural gas operations in the Andaman Sea. Ma Khine Thet, an exiled Myanmar researcher, said a Pheu Thai-led government in Bangkok might be more inclined to support the critical American line on Myanmar rather than following the Chinese lead in supporting the Tatmadaw. Zach Abu Abuza, a professor at the US National War College, stressed that Thailand is currently caught between the US and Chinese superpower rivalry. Meanwhile, the Myanmar Office of Immigration and Population has slightly modified the health requirements for incoming tourist permits. Fully vaccinated foreigners no longer need a pre-entry PCR virus test and medical insurance, though compulsory, no longer must be bought from the Myanmar junta’s monopoly insurance provider. Some tourist attractions, such as the floating water festival at Inle lake in Shan state, have reopened after three years under closure. However, there is no sign that the junta’s aim of attracting 1 million foreign tourists in 2023 will be achieved any time soon. Critics say that it will be difficult for an incoming Thai administration substantially to reduce ties with China. She provides more foreign tourists to Thailand than any other country on an annual basis, is Bangkok’s biggest trading partner and has invested billions of dollars in Thai business initiatives such as the Eastern Economic Corridor.

  20. Trump’s first ’24 rally has a familiar feel: Anger and attacks on his tormentors Actually, Ron DeSantis is not a traitor, IMHO. He is a conservative Republican with a pretty good approval rating as Governor of Florida. Which means even a lot of Democrats think he is doing a competent job. That said, it is obvious what you do when you get a seemingly competent and popular Republican Governor. You go for the jugular. You break his neck. You bleed him out, hopefully slowly and painfully. It's actually quite fun, if you are Donald Trump and his followers. Isn't this simply common sense? Isn't this obviously what leadership is about? Isn't this what America needs more of? Not the pussies and traitors! Pussies and traitors! Pussies and traitors! Pussies and traitors! This is just common sense. Isn't the problem obvious? (And don't get me started on The Gays making pussies out of our Woke Military! Ugh!) Then again, here's a thought. Why not sit back and enjoy the Republican Freak Show? When has the majority of America said, "Hey, we want this Freak Show! This is what we want! We want more freaks!" Yes, 3 million fewer Americans voted for Trump than Clinton in 2016. And he won anyway because we have an electoral college that was designed to help Whites owns Blacks. Alan Lichtman told us in September 2016, once again accurately, that was because people were going to give a thumbs down to the party in power. Not because of Donald Trump. He actually said Hillary might win, even though history was against her, simply because Donald Trump is such a freak. The majority of America did not want Freak Show in 2018. The majority of America did not want Freak Show in 2020. The majority of America did not want Freak Show on Jan. 6. 2021. The majority of America did not want Freak Show in 2022. They may have been okay with RINOs like Kevin McCarthy. Or RINOs like Chris Sununu. Or RINOs like Mike DeWine - who could not get 50 % of the vote in an Ohio Republican primary, even though he won 62 % of the vote in the Ohio general election. It was very clear. America wanted both conservatives and liberals in 2022. But not Freak Show and liars. Trump’s beer track advantage over Ron DeSantis The divide quickly defining the GOP primary. In other words, the minority of mostly White Americans who identify as Republican and conservative and don't have college degrees are most passionate about Trump. Meanwhile, the Independents and moderate Republicans who are more likely to vote Democratic - in 2018, or 2020, or 2022, or all three - are the ones who have the most distaste for The Freak Show. So, speaking as a partisan Democrat, why not let Trump bleed DeSantis out, and give us more than a full year of Freak Show? What's the downside? That he'll do an even better job of alienating Independents and moderates than he did in 2018, or 2020, or 2022 with his lies and Freak Show? To rebut my own argument, the obvious downside is that Trump could win again, like he did in 2016. But I'll trump you with Lichtman on that argument. His point would be that Biden will win or lose based on a thoughtful judgment of how he did for four years. If there is a bad recession and a humiliating defeat for the US in Ukraine, Biden will be toast. If there is a strong recovery and Putin negotiates a peace deal that leaves a stronger NATO and most of Ukraine intact, Biden will likely win. What Trump gives us is another Freak Show, even more distasteful than the first one. Which Americans already voted thumbs down on once, in 2020, by about 7 million votes. No bet is safe. But Trump is probably less likely to beat Biden than just about any other Republican. Why not have a bloodthirsty Freak Show, which is what Donald Trump wants? What could possibly go wrong? 🤫

  21. From Pattaya Mail By Barry Kenyon Although around 500,000 Chinese have already visited Thailand this year, there is little sign that the much-debated zero-sum holidays have yet returned. They were especially popular in Pattaya prior to the pandemic. They are essentially all-in tours, paid for in China prior to flying, which essentially benefit Thai-Chinese companies and nominee businesses which host the vacationers by pre-arranging flights, accommodation and entertainment. Once in Thailand, pressure is often put on the visitors to spend at nominated outlets such as jewelry and artifact stores, or even malls. The Association of Thai Travel Agents said there was not much evidence of zero-sum options actually happening yet, though they were certainly being marketed in cities such as Xian which has direct flights to U-tapao airport near Pattaya. With return flights now averaging 22,000 baht (US$650) plus other inflationary pressures, zero-sum holidays have become around 30 percent more expensive than in the pre-covid era. The now-expanded U-tapao also receives daily around eight international flights, mostly from the Middle East and provincial Russian cities. Other factors delaying the return of discounted vacations are Chinese delays in the issuing of passports, many of which expired during the covid pandemic when travel from China was virtually impossible. Most Chinese have never owned a passport, but increasing numbers certainly want one as revealed by long queues at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in major Chinese cities. Another problem is the lack of Chinese-speaking tour guides in Thailand – a highly sensitive issue as this profession is reserved for Thais under the alien labour legislation. China has agreed to collaborate with Thai authorities in cracking down on Chinese nationals acting as unofficial translators, though how energetically is disputed. However, there is limited evidence that zero-sum holidays from China are beginning in Pattaya. For example, The 79 Adult Show on the resort’s Thepprasit Road recently reopened after the covid hiatus and regularly has 20 or so tour buses full of Chinese in the expanded car park in the early evenings. Although some patrons had travelled from the home country independently, many confirmed they were on pre-arranged Chinese packages of one sort or another. The 79 Adult Show, renamed from the suggestive 69 Adult Show pre-covid, is described as “bold” cabaret with luscious ladies and actors “without embarrassment” using artificial snakes, ropes and drums. The taking of photographs or videos inside is strictly banned with offenders warned they will be dealt with by in-house security personnel. Admission prices vary according to nationality from 1,000 baht (US$30) to double that for non-Asians. The Tourism Authority of Thailand expects up to 7 million Chinese visitors overall in 2023 with 250,000 expected at Thai resorts in April. That ambitious target will be dependent on how quickly zero-sum vacations get back on track.

    45 days visa exempt

From Pattaya Mail Visa exempt 45 days is back to 30 days at Thai airports and border crossings By Barry Kenyon Notwithstanding intense lobbying by the Tourist Authority of Thailand, citizens of the 60 or so visa-exempt countries will no longer receive 45 days on entry. Tourists from mainland Europe, the UK, the US, Australia, Saudi Arabia etc will receive from April 1 only 30 days if they choose to arrive without a prior visa. However, they will be able to extend for a further 30 days just once at Thai immigration. This is a return to the situation prior to October 1 2022 when the 45 days rule was brought in as a temporary measure to boost tourism until March 31 2023. In other words, nationals from visa exempt countries now will have a maximum of 60 days rather than 75 before their time expires. However, they will still be able to leave the country, however briefly, and repeat the procedure for a further 30 + 30 days. But land border runs are limited to a maximum of two in a calendar year. There is no formal restriction on entries by air, though immigration officers can refuse admission if they feel a formal visa from a Thai embassy should be obtained in advance. “Don’t try to live in Thailand on short permissions of stay,” has long been a common refrain in the country’s immigration halls and border posts. Citizens of a further 19 countries, wishing to enter without a prior visa, are categorized as visa on arrival. They pay 2,000 baht on entering the country and are mostly from China and India. In the period October 1 2022 to March 31 2023 they received 30 days on arrival, but this has now been replaced by 15 days which was the situation until the end of September last year. Nationals from visa on arrival countries can now receive only a seven days extension at immigration bureaux provided they can show a return airticket to the home country. They cannot extend their stay by a border run. No official announcement was made by immigration or the government about the reversion to historical precedent. The decision to liberalize the rules for six months only was agreed by the Cabinet last autumn and thus, technically, required no termination notice. Most Thai embassies abroad, including those in the UK and the US, have long had notices on their websites about the March 31 truncation. From April 1, foreign tourists were subject to the new entry rules at both Thai airports and land crossing points. One reason for the decision not to renew the scheme is the belief in some government circles that Thailand is seeing a welcome rebound in international tourism without special measures. Some visa gurus say that abuses in the system may also have played a part. Last December, immigration commander police lt gen Pakpoompipat Sajjapan promised to tighten visa rules after mainly Chinese tourists were shown to have corruptly obtained visas to which they were not entitled. Thailand has various other bilateral agreements with several countries. Citizens of South Korea and four Latin American nations receive 90 days on arrival and are unaffected by the latest changes. Russia allows visa free, short-term travel for Thai nationals and, in return, Thailand for the past six months has awarded 45 days on Russian passports, though without the 30 days bonus opportunity at Thai immigration. From April 1, the 45 days becomes 30 once again for Russians amongst other nationalities. No extensions internally, but they can do a border run to receive a new 30 days. The nationals of about half the countries in the world, including most of Africa, cannot have any sort of visa free travel to Thailand and must obtain a prior visa at their nearest Thai embassy. Nobody said immigration rules are a quick read – anywhere in the world!

  24. The election isn't determined by the Democrats or Republicans. Independents are those who pick the POTUS. Most independents are rightfully afraid of what Trump would do in a 2nd term, and they aren't blind to his shocking behavior (actions and words). Biden is a weak candidate, but I think most independents are probably revolted by Trump and DeSantis. Best scenario for the Democrats: Trump runs as an independent. It would be like when Nader handed the Presidency to Bush due to his overinflated ego.

You seem to believe that by misdirection you can refocus the thread and magically transform your glorious leader into another Gandhi. In actuality, Putin has become so paranoid that he fears his own generals will sabotage his plane that he's confined himself train travel. But as the old proverb goes, just because you're paranoid that doesn't mean they're not really out to get you. Now that Putin's best friend has become the first president to be indicted of a crime, there are bigger fish to fry.

  32. From The Nation Airports of Thailand Plc will proceed with its plan to transform 723 rai of land adjacent Suvarnabhumi International Airport into “airport city” now that the Interior Ministry has amended the zoning code in Samut Prakan to allow the project to proceed, its president said. The Interior Ministry recently published an announcement in the Royal Gazette saying it had given approval for farmland around Suvarnabhumi airport in Samut Prakan to be used for infrastructure and buildings, AOT president Nitinai Sirismatthakarn said. AOT will begin the project by opening bidding for a contractor to build a bridge and road from the airport to the 723-rai plot as well as install basic infrastructure, including piped water and electricity cables, he said. After this is completed, AOT will select a private company to develop the airport city project into a hub for the trade of agricultural products, a centre for monitoring the quality of exports, and a distribution centre for export goods. Warehouses will also be built for online vendors and imported goods, Nitinai said.

    Thailand's Polluted Air

From the Nation Greenpeace urges Thai government to declare emergency over toxic air The government should declare air pollution an emergency so that its agencies can collaborate effectively to deal with the PM2.5 crisis, Greenpeace Thailand's air-pollution campaigner Alliya Moun-ob said on Thursday. Alliya also warned that the fire that has engulfed Khao Laem forested mountain could spread to nearby communities in Nakhon Nayok province, make people sick, and destroy property. Firefighters were still battling the blaze in the province in central Thailand on Thursday. In the North, air-pollution levels were among the worst in the world on Thursday. Chiang Mai’s air-quality index surged to 237 on Thursday, making its air the most polluted of any city in the world, according to the website IQAir. Delhi was second, with an index of 194. Alliya said that what is happening in upper Thailand is not new. It happened five years ago when the El Niño weather phenomenon exasperated the dry season, but there were few machines to detect PM2.5 then so people were not as aware of the crisis as they are now, she explained. PM2.5 is fine dust less than 2.5 micrometres in diameter. It can be fatal. Long-term exposure damages respiratory systems and blood vessels, Alliya said.

    Yunomori Spas Bangkok

As far as the Yunomori Spa my friends had recommended and which I wrote about in my previous post, nothing written by @BiggusDikkus could be further from the truth! Granted he was describing the older branch of Yunomori which I have not visited. I finally made it to the new one on Sathorn Soi 10 this afternoon and found it a quite amazing place - better than many in-town spas in Japan. It is obviously very new and the owner has used only the best materials everywhere. There is locker space for around 250 in the men's section although there were only around 25 when I arrived around 3:30 pm and 40 when I left at 5:00 for a dinner appointment. I expect a Saturday evening and Sunday afternoons will be quite crowded. The Spa has lots of treatments but I expect most will prefer only to go to the onsen. The male onsen takes up the whole of the 3rd floor. It includes 5 baths (but only two different levels of heat - hot or very cold!), a largish sauna and steam room and lots of Japanese style showers. As you enter downstairs, you leave your shoes in a small locker, take the key to reception and pay the entry fee (550 baht unless you are 65 or over when it is only 300). You get an electronic wrist tag which opens your locker and with which you pay for any drinks or snacks you might want. I saw a very cute boy going upstairs and decided I'd follow him. Sadly he was one of the staff! Before entering the locker space you get a bag with a large towel for drying before you leave and a very small towel for use in the spa. Some guys used these to cover themselves (typically Thai!) and four in their mid-20s or so wore black shorts (even more typical). I think clothing of any sort should be banned in all hot spring-type spas!). I guessed the age range of the customers when I was there ranged from around 25-30 to around 50 - with me being by far the oldest (not that that seemed to worry anyone)! I would put most in the Thai middle class category although there were also about 4 farang. There was also one father there with his young son but they did not stay very long. Not one Japanese that I could make out when straining to listen to conversation! I did not notice much 'looking' and any hint of approaching another guy within the spa is a definite no-no. But as a place to relax and perhaps see some handsome eye candy, I really enjoyed it. If you see someone you like and they also have an attraction for you, it's easy to swap phone numbers or just leave together. I also seem to have benefitted from my short visit. Having strained my upper back earlier in the day, the spa waters did wonders for it. https://www.yunomorionsen.com/sathorn/onsen/

    HOT BOYS

Yes, I met many 'models' as they like to call themselves on my trips to Colombia. It takes a bit of effort, but it's certainly possible, although not all models do 'presenciales' as @Boy69 already mentioned. A couple more tips: Don't go for the 'first page' models, unless you are prepared to pay a lot. They earn more in a couple hours on the sites than they would earn by meeting you. Visit also the lesser known sites like stripchat, bongacams, strreamate, cam4,.. as a general rule of thumb, the less popular their page, the more interested they will be in meeting you for a reasonable price. Try to find out their real location first. They are often in another city than what is mentioned in their profile. You will need their whatsapp. Some of the guys will give it for free, some will ask tokens. Only spend tokens if you think that he would be prepared to meet you. Moderators of groups of guys can be a blessing or a curse. Some are willing to act as the pimp of their goup and other guys of the studio, others will just try to get more tokens from you and fence off any direct contact with the guys. It helps a lot if you can speak and understand basic spanish. If possible, send them a picture that proves that you are in that city (or at least have visited that city in the past). I keep selfies with the "I ❤️ name-of-the-city" boards that you find in every Colombian city for that purpose. Take the indirect approach. Go to the local gay disco and try to get their whatsapp over there. While maybe 15% of the guys in industry club (Medellin) work on webcam, I would guess that around 80% of the guys in pandora (Cucuta) are webcam models. Do always check their ID. Do not assume they are 18+ because they work on those sites. Some are not.

    Back in Bangkok

I stayed at the Sukhothai next door a couple of times long ago. It's another beautiful hotel with top notch service. But the location was just too inconvenient for the places I wanted to go. For a couple of years I used to stay at the Siri Sathorn apartments. That was the only place I ever felt a little uncomfortable from the looks of the people in the lobby when I brought a cute boy home with me one evening
