  1. Just as an addition. Having spent a few days with a guide in Bangkok on my first visit and visited various clubs/shows, he was able to tell me which of the guys on stage were tops, bottoms, etc which was really helpful at the time. His presence also acted as a buffer against the more pushy Mamasan which I didn't truly appreciate until my first solo visit to Screwboys.
  2. Siam Roads advertises as cute local guides and gay guides for your travel. Checking that your guides are therefore Gay is a reasonable question whereas their specific type is nothing to do with the job. In the west you couldn't ask such a question, however the jobs aren't in the west.
  3. I would like to ask that people stop derailing and wrecking threads with personal attacks. I don't understand why a few people can't disagree without it becoming personal, but it happens over and over again often with the same culprits. Scooby, while I appreciate the effort you put into the board, locking threads punishes everyone for the transgressions of a minority. I would ask that you punish culprits earlier with suspensions and later with bans for serial offenders.
  4. Anyone know if Lek is still working at Blue House?
  5. I don't really have a favourite type unless "hung and able to fuck like a jackhammer" is a type. It always seems to me that labelling people is a complete waste of effort since everyone's scale is completely different. I've never been able to find my "type" by conscious effort, it's always by luck.
  6. The exchange rate will have to drop a lot more before it affects my decision on whether to go to Thailand or not.
  7. Thanks for the pictures, especially PJ's place. If you have any useful info on staying there, or more pictures, can you post them? I'm going to Chiang Mai for the first time in around 6 weeks and am booked in to PJ's place for a week before heading to Patts.
  8. Take as long as you like. With only 10 it's really very easy. There's likely 3 or 4 paying attention to you, pick the one you like the best and who is most enthusiastic.
  9. Best advice I've ever been given about massage places (by Vinapu a few years ago) is choose someone that meets your eyes and has a genuine smile. If they seem disinterested or don't look at you, then don't take then no matter how cute or sexy you find them. Whilst them smiling at you doesn't guarantee you a great massage and afters, them not seeming interested pretty much guarantees poor afters. Don't worry about your body, they almost certainly aren't interested in it anyhow, they are more interested in the health of your wallet. Whatever your body type, they have almost certainly seen fatter, uglier, smellier or just plain unpleasant bodies than yours. Let us know how you get on. Reports are gratefully received.
  10. As mostly bottom I prefer someone who knows how to use it over someone with a huge cock. My "favourite" size is about 8 to 8.5 inches, not too thick though. Not found too many of those in Thailand but any disappointing sessions I've had there have never been down to cock size.
  11. As long as the construction isn't being done by the same people that laid the pavements between Pattaya and Jomtien.
  12. Narcissus was always a bit run down but had a good location. Glad about Blue House as I've had a couple of good massages there by Com and Lek. Anyone know if they are still there? 68 days and counting...........
  13. Almost exactly opposite Boyz Town there is a large "normal" massage shop. When I was last in Pattaya they had a body to body erotic massage on the menu and the guy that did it was really very good. Other than that it is a bit pot luck and is going to depend on the masseur. Ones where I've had good experiences are Narcissus and Blue Massage though I believe the latter is gone now. You can also find some pretty good body to body masseurs through Hornet, GR, etc but again a bit of a lottery.
  14. Different people have different definitions of Body to Body massage. To me, a body to body massage is using the entire body, well oiled, using the pressure and friction of the body to create sensual pleasure. It ranges in strokes from the lightest caress to firm contact to create pressure. I would say far less than 50% of the massages I get in Thailand fit that category and far less than 10% are truly memorable. The best masseurs use nearly every part of their body to create pleasure.
  15. As a massage experience, 4 handed only really works if the people giving the massage have chemistry and can work together as one. Otherwise it can be most distracting and not at all relaxing if both do "their own thing". It's a bit of a lottery on body to body as Vinapu says.
  16. Have the regulations changed for obtaining local SIMs? I remember reading a few months ago something about new restrictions/regulations. I'm Coming in October and always buy a local SIM so if anyone has current news it would be helpful to me.
  17. I tend to tip hotel maids daily with 40 baht on the pillow. Change I tend to collect through my stay since it's handy for baht bus, etc. On the last day, I leave all my loose change in the hotel room. Generally it's at least a few hundred baht so hopefully they aren't too upset with the coins.
  18. I tip only small amounts where it is not expected unless I receive really good service. Where tips are expected, such as with massage/offs, I tip well and more again for something really good. I guess that paying £40 instead of £30 for something that might cost me £200 or more at home never seems unreasonable to me. I can't see a down side to doing it, only up sides.
  19. Have you thought about a tour guide? Siamroads.com has a few. On my first trip a few years ago I had a guide from them and it saved me both time and money. They can create an itinary for you and show you the Bangkok transport system which can be a bit different for the first time visitor. In addition, they can introduce you to the night life if you so desire.

Maybe the next thread will be "All my troubles seemed so far away"
  21. No, it just may change who is doing the hunting.
  22. Like Vinapu, I always found Bangkok first was better for me. It probably depends how much sight seeing you plan on doing during the day. I always found after 4 or 5 days in Bangkok that I was ready for a more chill time in Pattaya. Also, I tend to spend a lot more in Bangkok than Pattaya so My budget always works better that way. Each to their own though. I have, on occasion done Bangkok -Pattaya - Bangkok and that works well too.
  23. I went for 3 weeks in Oct 15 and there was noticeably more rain than November when I usually go. It still wasn't bad though 20 minutes of heavy rain but mostly sunny the rest of the times though some cloudy days also. Not been in September but would Guess hotter and wetter again.
  24. I've bottled it a bit. I'm spending the first 8 days in Chiang Mai then 12 days in Patts. I figure in future each time I go I'll try somewhere new the first week or 10 days and then somewhere familiar for the rest.
