  1. Hi, I would never show a photo of their face that I took or in a compromising way. I highlighted Facebook posts of a group and suggested that they might be available. You may be correct, I can't tell but that's a reason to use a pseudonym when I post. My name, of course isn't Paborn. I got my current boyfriend this way. I started by friending, his yes was a good sign but not conclusive. I commented on his posts working up from smiles to comments. it was months before I contacted him and now he is with me as my live in on my trips. He has a job which leaves me free time. I'm older so I have graduated to wanting a steady guy. But his job allows for daytime play. I have another two talking to me and ready for my trip in October. Thanks for confirming my compensation - 40/50 is good. My boyfriend works 10 hrs a day , six day a week for $249 a month!! $50 goes a long way . In the end you're right, of course, but I claim nothing about anyone . I have never seen any of these guys in Marlowe's. Have you been to ESEDEKU? I have not been in years?
  2. this is not a group. This is a screen shot - cropped to not show name - of a recommendation dent to me by Facebook - it shows that all these people are friended by each other
  3. congratulations. You will dispose of that income well!
  4. I'm unaware of your social media. But, I'm always in search of restaurants in the colonial zone. Which one(s) are you recommending. I used to always stay in the Zona but have switched to Gazcue as I have aged and elevators are a must. But, I love the Colonial Zone. Not just for Marlowe's
  5. is it a website or a WhatsApp number. I hate to be thick but I goggled it and you know how everylink other than it comes up. I just want to be sure it sounds very interesting.
  6. Vinapu, I have not been to Bangkok since 2019. I'm approaching 74 so I doubted I would return as I love Santo Domingo as well. But, I'm beginning to reconsider. I know so much as changed . I used to stay at Tawan and that all gay place on Rama V at the end of the soi where Dicks was. I know so much as changed, reading through so many threads and making sense is hard. Is there a reliable source? A thread that's current ? Another site with a good synopsis? If you could direct me I would deeply appreciate it - I wonder how many guys are in my situation?
  7. I know. I was supporting you - sorry to be opaque
  8. I'm , often, mystified by what I read here. But, this????
  9. I have never purchased a car for anyone. Whoever "in boxed " you does not know me at all if they think I purchased a car. it's an absurd idea. A tourist, even a frequent visitor, can only help to provide opportunities, alleviate hardships, provide a pride to a better life. Make sure they can stay in school, etc. Beyond that, you are not helping you are bestowing gifts to buy love - it buys sex, not love and says more of you than anything else. Also, if someone has bought a car for anyone, you should know them and the reasons they did it. If you don't know the actual relationship and situation neither you nor I are in a position to judge. Really, you should not pay attention to "in box" rumors. We gays just love dish - I have not spoke to a tourist in Santo Domingo in over ten years. Good Lord
  10. I was actually responding to someone here who blathers and lashes out. I was giving my perspective based on my age of 74 , my 40 year of visiting SDQ 3 to 4 times a year and wanting a relationship above other considerations. That does not mean that those considerations are not of value or important. They are just part of the mix I consider.
  11. you misunderstand me. The word JUST is important. I need some desire, they might be cute, amusing, etc. Their price is not my only consideration. But, then I'm 74!
  12. Lord, I now know why it's best to "fly over the cuckoo's nest" rather than land. first, I am a sex tourist. As are you and every one of us here and in the Thai forum. I have been to Thailand 38 times and do not look for a steady there because it's too. Second and final - I like Dominicans. I enjoy the country, the food and the culture. Having a steady allows one to go to concerts, jazz clubs, movies. etc. Because one is not planning around visitations. You do you. I posted only to confirm that, yes, some of us do things differently. oh, and my first boyfriend was brown, my cuban as white as snow ( probably why he survived without papers ) , my third normal Dominican copper and my guy now is black and is part BWi. it's not about race, it is about culture, learning Spanish , and appreciating their history
  13. Just for the record. I do not have a seasonal guy who I discard. My first lasted 7 years and died in an accident. My second lasted as lone but was an undocumented Cuban who was deported. I do not go to Cuba for personal reasons. My third lasted on 4 as he was bi and decided to marry and I did not desire to be a third wheel - we still talk. My current is still with me. Sometimes people who used big words are also masking the reality of their not having any facts - they're just breaking wind.
  14. I have never understood why anyone who go anywhere that they could not appreciate the culture, language and people. I can't comprehend even wanting to go to bed with someone just because they can be had cheaply. I do understand not over paying , budgeting, etc. Just pay fairly and treat people with respect and dignity. Don't talk down to them or treat them as if they were just meat. I prefer a steady because the whole experience of staying together is vastly greater than just sex.
  15. Well, I prefer my hustlers in Marlowe's. My long time rule is, "if they can't get in the bar they are too young or trouble "
  16. I have been going for 40 years. I seldom post because, as you say, I rotate through boyfriends - some last years then you reset. The country is closer, I think safer and very navigable. great people .
  17. exactly. Japanese all the way , always has been.
  18. Just curious, I have been to the DR many, many times but thinking of Columbia. Is it fair to compare Pereira prices to a capital like Santo Domingo? Bogota or Medellin I would not question. But, this feels like comparing New York to Scranton PA. Just wondering
  19. I doubt the spelling bee organizers grade on grammar. But, I am at a loss as to how this comic video, cute as it is, as anything to do with the DR.
  20. I have been traveling to Santo Domingo for many years. I've known every procurer and bar. In the last year I was looking at the friends recommendations that come to me as a result., I guess, of all my "types" - I have no idea how this works. But I started to Friend some and have a collection now - today a suggestion cam for this Santo Domingo page which seems a shell and I have, as you can see, 17 mutual friends. The page blocks view of non mutuals so there may be more than this aggregated there. Some of the guys are self proclaimed gays, some post pictures or do stories with money being shown . I suspect that many of these guys are available. Some have friends of their pages that I know have been with tourists. I'm curious if anyone has noticed this. I believe in a certain amount of coincidence in life - but 17 guys??? I have not contacted any of them. it just seems awfully intriguing. What does anyone think.
  21. He appears to speak Spanish but they clearly say there is no chicken. They tell him beef, he still thinks it's some sort of Jamaican like jerk chicken. Somehow I doubt his fluency.
  22. Kind of you to ask. Always been a bit of a social introvert; quite possibly my reason to prefer travel for encounters rather local relationships. Thus, self isolating is a bit of the norm but I cancelled March in Santo Domingo and that IS rough. Husbanding my wine supply and waiting for the ability too travel again.
  23. I've used Uber in Santo Domingo dozens of times and they come in roughly the time shown and you can track the car on the map. I don't understand how you experience this.
