Switching back to the original post peculating on a "why" about the birthday celebration - I agree with hank75 and with spoon's further insight. I celebrated one regular's birthday and it was important to his sense of face that I came to the bar for him and celebrated him with his friends also participating! My insight (not related to this question) is validate the birthdate...I remember one off who seemed to have more than one birthday a year as shown on his Facebook page.

San Francisco airport is slowly re-opening its international departure area. It has also begun rapid testing for air crews and airport staff. A harbinger? Alas, it's a USA airport and a California one...few international destinations to get to that wont quarantine Californians...

I don't disagree with any of the above as the markets are ready targets for interpretation. My take is that many of the folks who were addicted to on-line gaming shifted over to the markets via things like robinhood. For them it's all short term - as opposed to Michael who is taking a long term view. I'm a Michael marketeer...except at the end of February I sold everything and moved them to bonds...so my "portfolio has grown about 2% in the past quarter. US companies that haven't filed for bankruptcy will soon be issuing quarterly reports. If they are bleak, then I might begin to move my funds back into the market. Maybe...

Wait and See..I wait every day to see how badly the USA response to Covid-19 will be, only to see that it's getting worse. I fortunately live in the bubble part of California where the new case rate is low. My doctor advised me this week to not plan any travel within the US until late July as they (the HMO where she works) are anticipating a large spike two weeks after this coming holiday weekend. I'd be wiling to quarantine in Pattaya for two weeks, but the USA doesn't meet the criteria for the tourist trail.
