You might be surprised.  "The Horse in Motion" dates from 1878. OK, it's only 11 frames long and needed 11 cameras to shoot it. The first film shot on a single camera was made in 1888 and lasted 2.11 seconds.

thaiophilus got a reaction from vinapu in Asian traveller to Pattaya and westerners.
It appears to be in Laem Chabang, something like a 15 mile taxi ride to Pattaya Tai.
    Wikipedia:
Laem Chabang is a port city municipality [...] in Chonburi Province, Thailand [...] As of 2019 it had a population of 88,271. The city has grown up around the port, but also serves as a major stop on the coastal highway linking Pattaya and Bangkok via Sukhumvit Road (Hwy 3). The city is also known for hosting a Japanese retirement community with specialty stores geared towards them.
TripAdvisor's "Top Things to Do in Laem Chabang" all seem to be excursions to other places. 😄

I'm mildly surprised ... that the Thai mafia have allowed a foreign mafia to take over their territory so easily. In a patronage-based society where networking is everything, I'd expect the incumbents to have a huge advantage.

The United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) defines a forest as, "Land spanning more than 0.5 hectares with trees higher than 5 meters and a canopy cover of more than 10 percent, or trees able to reach these thresholds in situ. It does not include land that is predominantly under agricultural or urban use."
    https://www.fao.org/3/I8661EN/i8661en.pdf
Since 8 acres is 3.24 hectares, that would seem to qualify assuming the trees are at least 5 meters high, with a canopy cover of more than 10%.

Sure, but for me better still is one bar with many boys, interacting with each other and the customers (and not their phones!) Statistically you have a better opportunity to find that "one boy" and the atmosphere is so much better while you're waiting for him to appear.
