For reference, imagine the old David Burton gym in NYC. Any inspiration or suggestions on where should I workout?

Shower fun and steam room action is not a thing in Rio unless you are in the saunas....Take all of the freaky perverted things that you do in your home city and remember that while prostitution is legal....Brazil is still a pretty conservative country...
And the gyms all have gay men in them in Copacabana and Ipanema...unless you are hot, you will be one of many tourists lurking and looking and wont get any attention...
I would avoid cruising in the gyms if I were you....

There are hotels all over Copacabana and Ipanema, which is the tourist area...Ipanema is the gayer area but unless you are hot...thats not where you are going to get action....
You do not want to stay near the saunas...those are very local areas
117 or Pointe...you can take an uber to either of them...weekends are questionable since the boys tend to spend time with their families but Friday is usually reall good at 117
Google 3 star hotels in either area....

I've been without a cell phone, sadly, many times over the years.....seems like we're more connected than ever to them now too.
You never realize just how much you rely on your phone....everything to Whatsapp reaching out to my hoes in Rio to being able to check into flights!

On Ipanema beach....drunk as hell on the way to the beach, I had on some little short shorts and didn't even realize when it fell out of my pocket
I always carry a fanny pack but this time, just drunk of the sun and caipirinhas, I didnt even realize I had dropped it until it was too later
To make matter worse, we had just closed on a home the Tuesday before we flew to RIO
Needless to say, I won't be drinking that heavy until after the beach when I have all my bearings around me....
Can you imagine being out of the country with NO cell phone.....the good think is my partner was able to help and I had my laptop for the other stuff but had to come back a day early to make sure I could get the new cell phone ordered
Had an amazing time in the sauna the one night that I did get to go...
Looking forward to going back, hopefully sooner than later....

Long story short, my phone was lost and found, CC was used that was in my case BUT it's all good...

We haven't been there since May, whats new there?
Things were back open, masks weren't mandatory anywhere and the weather was great then
I miss Rio and can't wait....
Also booked for right after Christmas until New Years!
