  1. Sorry, it wasn't him Thomas. And thank you for replying about the request from OF for a pic of your identity card. I'm pretty sure it's not a requirement of Canadian law.... although the leader of the opposite Conservative Party here has said he supports the idea of requiring age verification to view porn online.
  2. Sometimes..... mixed responses.. ie no response, a one word response, a few normal responses and one enthusiastic response. That last one was a super hot OF guy in France and then I discovered on Hunqz he was an escort. I messaged him with a tip and mentioned I'd be in France in a few months. He replied he would love to meet. I had to go to a city some distance from Paris and wasn't sure he'd actually meet. But he did, he is a wonderful guy and I had a wonderful evening. So fairy tales do come true. I have a question. I've stopped using OF.... to be more specific they've stopped used me. They say because of legislation in my jurisdiction I have to provide a photo of myself to use a credit card. I'm in Canada and there's no law about a photo.
  3. I've also heard them called love motels.
  4. I lived and worked in Germany for about six months many years ago. Some people there have really quick tempers and can become semi-hysterical, but I didn't see any drunk fighting. Even at a beer festival with tens of thousands of people packed into a big park there was no security. Would have been a disaster in Canada where there are many fights, especially outside bars. An inheritance from our British forefathers I guess. Not as bad as Australia and Britain. I don't think. British drunks are particularly foul based on what I saw of British stag weekends in Cologne and Prague. The Finns on the other hand, I just wanted to hug.
  5. Do you know if there are sex motels in Thailand similar to the ones in Latin America?
  6. Yes, as far as I know, every province/territory includes long term health care in its public health care system. Although many of the long term care facilities are full so people are warehoused in a hospital until a bed becomes available in a care home. In my family's experience, that meant my mother didn't receive any therapy, no personal grooming and as little attention as possible from the nursing staff who weren't happy about looking after helpless old people. Most of the Covid deaths in the first six months of the pandemic were in long term care homes, the worst in privately owned facilities as opposed to publicly owned. Which led to the, "they were about to die anyway" reason for opposing Covid rules. But in any case, I wasn't thinking of people who needed health care, just lonely old unhappy men.
  7. I don't think anybody said it was an excuse.
  8. I spent a winter in Mexico many years ago. I had been thinking as a long term goal to eventually move to maybe Costa Rica or Mexico. During that winter though I met a number of older ex-pat men... mostly Canadian like me. Most seemed lonely and sad. And more or less stranded because their pensions or savings were barely okay for cheaper living costs in Latin America, but not enough for Canada. The ones with local wives seemed to be doing the best. I see this fellow has a local wife. But I wonder if financial stress and/or homesickness sometimes leads to violent or just generally nasty behaviour from those who had to work to contain their emotions at home.
  9. He is hot. Trudeau and his wife have split up. So Canada's version of Trump supporters are now routinely referring to Trudeau as gay. They say it's not meant as an insult, just telling things like they are. Even Tucker Carlson mentioned it during a speech he made in Canada.
  10. This reminded me of an American woman who was attacked for stealing a child during a Holy Week parade in a rural Guatemalan town. I looked it up. It was 30 years ago to the day. Time flies. She was a tourist and had not stolen any children. But there were lots of rumours at the time about foreigners stealing children for organ transplants and there she was, taking photos of kids in the square. The boy was only missing for about hour before he was found, but it was too late. I recall police took her to a government building, but then left her there alone as a violent mob attacked. She was beaten until the men believed she was dead. She did live, but one of the more recent stories I saw said she's been living in a nursing home as her injuries were severe and permanent. From the stories I saw, these mob attacks on foreign tourists do happen occasionally in Mexico and Guatemala, but more commonly on locals.
  11. Completely valid comment. In Canada however police officers routinely lie to coverup for their colleagues and their departments. They will even lie in court knowing that everyone knows they are lying. An us versus them (them being the public) mindset has taken hold among many police officers that they feel justifies any kind of misconduct. And a veteran officer recently told me it appears to be getting worse. The point being, getting the truth about the level of involvement by other officers or a department may be difficult.
  12. I believe this is relatively common now in the United States. Various jurisdictions have passed laws that limit the police department's liability even in cases where the officer was on duty. There has to be proof the department was responsible for the actions of the officer or otherwise negligent. Instead, all the liability is put on the officer. But officers generally will not have a lot of cash or assets so it's a lot harder for the victim to find a lawyer if there's no chance of a big pot of gold at the end of it all. Also, juries are less likely to find an individual officer liable than a police department.
  13. There was a point during Brexit when the pound was falling and I was hoping it would come down to the Canadian dollar level so I could afford a proper trip to the UK... I went once and ate mostly french fries and argued with restaurant servers who refused to bring me tap water. But sadly that crisis is over... so I'll never get to see grampa's birthplace or the farm where my grandmother's family came from. Just kidding I don't care... but still, it's expensive.
  14. I see there's a guy with same name, same age in New Zealand who belongs to a MMA club there.
  15. It's called getting older. He was much hotter in the early seasons of Shameless, but he's thickening... although he's still only 33.... could pass for 40. Hard living?
  16. There are lots of activities that can lower blood pressure. I think it depends on each person what works best for them. For me, the simpler the better so good old brisk walking is probably the best. And it's cheap. Obviously, for any number of reasons that's not going to work well for others.
  17. Ha, ha, I kept watching it mainly just for him. And then when I saw Leo Grande some months later, I was like, OMG, OMG, that's that guy... and he's naked... it was like Christmas morning and Halloween combined in terms of excitement.
  18. I sort of felt the last season of Peaky Blinders was, "okay, lets just get this over with."
  19. You may have since seen him in the series Bad Sisters, where he plays an endearingly hot insurance agent.
  20. I have met a few of those dicks...... attached to men with an easy masculinity about them that I find very attractive.
  21. Recently at a sauna in Pereira where two attractive guys in their 30s initiated contact.... I'm mid-60s... and once in Manizales. I think they all just wanted somebody different to suck their dicks. Anyway I was certainly happy to oblige. Doubt that would ever happen in Medellin.
  22. In North Africa it would be because most men are Muslim. Surprised it's so low in Canada. I'm a late boomer and I think most boys were circumsized because it was considered cleaner. I guess there's been a big change.
  23. Thank you for the info... it was just a tip, about $10 US. The money didn't matter. But for some reason I still continue to be surprised there are humans who do shit like that, as trivial as it was, to other people.
  24. Phuket locals rally against Swiss man I'm surprised there aren't more headlines like this from around the world. I had a Swiss roommate for awhile plus day to day encounters with Swiss people who have emigrated to Canada. Holy cow they can be nasty and grumpy. I went out for dinner with my roommate once and he told me how he amazed he was by restaurant servers who come by your table during dinner to check on how things are. He said he'd never seen that happen at home. I got a Swiss francs tip from a Swiss tourist last summer. I left it in my wallet and passing through Zurich airport during the winter I tried to use it to buy a coffee and found out those type of bills had been phased out. What kind of asshole would do that.
  25. My impression generally was that the Uber drivers were younger and more pleasant than taxi drivers. Of course there are always exceptions.
