Friends who have been there tell me that the Big Easy is dead these days. Very little to no activity and almost all of the bars are closed. How sad for such a formerly super fun city. Even worse is that it is estimated that 80% of the restaurants there will fail and be closed permanently. This evil Covid 19 is a really mean mother but not much we can do about it. My whole life is in a holding pattern because I cannot return to my home in Thailand. As much as I would like to totally blame Trump for this, the fact is that the Thai Government is allowing very few foreigners into the country and particularly Americans are Persona Non Grata. I really miss my boyfriend/partner.

I enjoy Pattaya much more than Phuket.

This happened to the ole Malaysia Hotel. The owners ruined the place for me. I loved the days when you could come down from your room and pick up a boy in the cafe and take him to your room.

I have stopped watching both Designated Survivor and Touch in which Sutherland stars. I simply cannot stand his vocal quality. He speaks in a nearly inaudible, guttural whisper and it is find it difficult to understand him and irritating. In Designated Survivor his voice makes him sound like a wimp and not how a president should sound. Anyone else notice the issue with his voice.

Have you watched the movie Bohemian Rhapsody? It is about the rock group Queen and primarily about the life of Freddy Mercury, the lead singer. While I enjoyed Queen's music I was not into them as much as some other rock groups. I should have given them more attention. This afternoon I watched this movie and I encourage you to do so. I really enjoyed it. Call me a pussy but I cried toward the end. Give it a spin.

I think it's great. Yes, I've eaten at Taco Bell on occasion but usually when I'm in a rush or get a craving for something with a Tex-Mex flavor. I used to bitch about the idea that they use the same 7 ingredients in everything they serve but just jumble it up to call it different things. The idea of a hotel with that motif just entertains me.
