I just finished seasons 1 & 2 of You on Netflix. It has a bit of a Dexter vibe to it. I also liked Good Girls. Watched the first two seasons on Netflix and was able to watch season 3 via a combo of on demand and DVR. HBO's Barry is great. Very funny. It's about the struggles of a hit man who wants to quit killing and live a normal life rather unsuccessfully. And I'm currently watching The Morning Show via Apple TV. Very enjoyable so far. Damn... I've had my heart set on a trip to Bangkok in the spring for the last 6 months. I'm still tempted to go in March if the numbers remain low. The numbers (according to this website at least) are showing a total of 25 infected and holding relatively steady for the past week, not that that means much. If it remains that way (more or less) for the next 4-5 weeks, I think I will take my chances. The southern hemisphere seems relatively unscathed at this point, but I don't know anywhere in that area that offers what I like about Thailand. Besides, I'm comfortable there because I know the area fairly well.

Agreed. If you are a US citizen, it doesn't matter what the legal age is elsewhere - 18yo is the youngest you can play with. If there's a place where the legal age is 19/20yo etc., then go by those local laws. Otherwise, always 18 or older.

I was tempted to try and return under another name, even use a VPN to disguise my IP address, which was blocked. Wow! I've never paid 3000 pesos for any guy in CDMX. Had some offers around 2500 pesos but even then I declined and then they would go lower. 1000-1500 is not too bad for foreigners but I will go up to 2000 if I'm getting everything I want out of the experience, like multiple extras. On my last trip, I was shopping around between a couple of guys, both the same price IIRC or very close (1200 or so?). I set up an appt with one and declined the other. He went quite a bit lower, around 750-ish. Had it not been my last day, I would have made arrangements to meet the next day. I stuck with the first guy though and was very glad I did. It was an explosively good time, possibly in my top 10 even! I will definitely be seeing him next time I visit, which might even be this month. Anyway, my point is 2000 pesos should be on the high side, but try to negotiate to something closer to 1000-1500. And you don't even have to negotiate per se. Just decline and let them make you an offer.

I've met Gago several times before. He's hit-or-miss at best. Rarely on time. He's pulled the "I want to bring my friend" routine on me too every time except for the first time we met. I have learned to be very clear from the beginning of my wants/desires. Nice! I went to Istanbul about two years ago, but I think you had more luck than I did. I couldn't bring any guys back to my hotel so my options were limited. I, too, have visited the boy bars many times in the last 15-18 years. I've been to Bangkok pretty much every year in the last ten. While my business certainly doesn't sustain them, I am a repeat customer, which has a definite value. And when I say repeat customer, I hire pretty much every night I'm there from one bar or another. If I don't hire, it's because I can't find someone my type or they're not into what I'm looking for. As for many of the guys being straight, I think it depends on the bar. Jupiter seems to have the highest concentration of straight guys, but I will admit that's based on a limited number of visits. The gogo bars like Dreamboys, Fresh Boys, Hot Male, etc. have more gay guys (but certainly a lot of straight too). And of course, our perceptions may depend on what we're looking for. If you're looking for tops, you may notice the straight guys more. I am into bottoms so I prefer to hire guys who are more likely to be gay (or bi).
