I'll be in SDQ mid January 2024. Any forum members there at the time; be sure to hit me up! On topic: my preference would be an Airbnb. I don't use one with security, but one where you have private street acces to. I don't want any nosy interference from service staff. However, I must stress that it is a personal choice after traveling many time to South-American destination and being able to communicate in Spanish. I do not in any way say that having a reception that is checking ID's is luxury or a useless thing. Not at all! I simply find it hard to know in advance if a place is open to the fact that you receive visitors. Finding out in advance is a must. You don't want to end up in a place with a North-Korean style surveillance and security team! There are some ground rules for sluts like us when it comes to having fun with South-American/Caribbean studs in your Airbnb regarding to safety: 1. Always make sure that your most valueble items are well locked and stowed away. Passport, credit cards, the bulk of your cash money. The travel safe from Pacsafe (no sponsoring) keeps my mind at ease. I do however alway have some cash present to give a guys some extra for a taxi; just to smoothen the process. This besides any pre-negotiated deal. 2. For any first meeting (e.g. via Grindr) be sure to meet outside in a public place. After you've been with a guy you can invite them directly to your place. 3. Always ask for their 'cédula', their ID card. EVERYONE from the RD has to carry one at all time by law! If a guy doesn't present a cédula or has a bullshit story of loosing it, abort your slutty mission instantly. Trust me: it is bullshit and they have something to hide. You check this as you meet them as described in point 2. My advise is to make a photo of the cédula and email it to yourself directly. If anything dodgy occurs, at least you have the copy of the cédula in your (G)mail history. I tell my studs I have to 'register their visit to my building owner' when I email it. It is common practice to ask for a cédula btw and it's not frowned upon. 4. Mention the security cams of your building, even if you don't have them... 5. Last but not least: listen to that little voice in your head...not that horny voice in your dickhead... If a guy is too good to be true; than he is just that. If a guy looks dodgy, he probably is and so on and so on... Now, street cruising is a big part of my Santo Domingo Colonial Zone day entertainment. I do pick up some prime meat from the streets occasionally and do a test drive with them at an hourly hotel. The guys know where to find them. There is one close to Paco Cafetaria (Grand's) called Hotel Bella Mar. I's sleazy...but hey...so are we. This is a very safe option keeping some distance between you and the guy. If you like him you can always follow the steps above. *tap on wood* I have thus far never encountered a bad situation where I had (serious) safety concerns. Don't think that my guard goes down because of that. It doesn't. But following the required safety rules keeps you much more relaxed in your adventures. And yes, at least learn some Spanish to get by!

I agree, nobody should think it's a walk in the park. However, time of day makes a difference. After 19.00h, when it's dark, obviously the situation is waaaay more grim then during the day. Night time wouldn't be my cruising time. Having that said, during my last visit in SP I walked through the Praça República at 20.30 to get a burger at MacD. The park was lively, well lit and there was a good police presence. I had my guard up, but it felt 'ok'. I wasn't cruising, simply walking about. I Would not, not in a million years, walk in central Rio after dark! Lapa and centro during the day already demand it to keep your attention high. The Copacabana/Ipanema area once again was lively till late and felt pretty relaxed in the evening. My cruising activities limit themselves to the (late) afternoon. This October i'll spend my time again in SP and RJ. I can't wait to meet all these Brazilian fuck machines! The plan is to head for SP first (October 4-14), then enjoy RJ (October 14-23) before returning to SP again (October 23-27). In SP I'll be staying in an Airbnb in República (actually facing Largo do Arouche). The area is know for being a bit on the rougher side, but, the slut I am, I always felt myself perfectly in place between the hustlers, gay cinemas and cabinas. Then there always are the saunas with pornstar quality studs. Does anyone know some basic 1 hour Love Motels in the Praça da República area? In RJ I've gor myself a nice little Airbnb between Copacabana and Ipanema; very centrally in one of the better parts of town. Before mentioned slut places are to be find in the Centro/Lapa area. Also street trade supposed to be found at the Cinelandia square. Does anyone know some basic 1 hour Love Motels in the Centro/Lapa/Cinelandia area? As you can guess, I like it cruisy, in the streets, cabinas. All quite anon. So security wise a nearby Love Motel would be open up options and manage risks some what. I'm open for suggestions. To conclude: any forum member around those dates?Happy to meet up for coffee/drinks to swap stories!

The thing with rates is: if it’s a low rate I normally don’t trust the guy. I feel that I must be on my wits more than usual. When a guy quotes DOP 3000 or over usually it comes out overpriced. In my experience they can look fantastic (muscled, tall, handsome and hung) but they are terrible in bed, can’t get hard and don’t cumm. It’s not always the case, but it’s the rule I fly by. Fun anekdote: the hot, ripped stud quoted me 200 US dollar. I declined. He instantly dropped to an avatar DOP 2500 (50 USD) after which he asked for 70 dollars. I blocked the guy. He was bullshitting too much. in short: DOP 1000 (low side; be vigilant) - DOP 3000+ (high-end, be suspicious)

Also if you are ok with looking a bit further out in Santo Domingo, or even next town, there are some winners to be ‘flown in’. I’m waiting on a 6f2 hung stud who was so eager, he arranges his own transportation from the airport area. Surly he is happy to please me for the standard tip I give him. Even tho I’m a fan of Santo Domingo, where the hung boys are a plenty, I have to inform you about Boca Chica. Because my God, what a total dump this place is. Boca Chica is the ‘go to’ beach resort you go to from Santo Domingo if you like a beach break. They should rename this shithole into ‘Junkyard Beach’. The streets, the ally’s and yes the beach and water are completely littered with (plastic) garbage. The whole area is simply a pile of waste. On top of that you get hassled by street vendors with every step you take. I mean, I’ve been around. Traveled to many (less developed) countries. But this place is like fucking Monrovia, Africa during the Sierra Leonian civil war! It’s too much shit. After dark the female prostitutes come out to give an extra kick to the place. More of a kick in the nutsack if you ask me. So at night your strolling around through a gone to waste junkyard city filled with litter and dirty hoes. At the beach they rip you a new asshole every time they present the bill. You start of with a (overpriced) 200 peso beer and 450 pesos snack, but hey…you’re at the beach enjoying people watching. You and up with a 1500 pesos bill because of taxes (shitty, but normal), service charge and a fucking ‘table charge’ because you use the table as 1 person (eventho the rest of the tables are empty). Yes, I hooked up with hot guys and checked out the local love motel for a trio (since my hotel was strictly no visitors). But that prime meat can easily be found in Santo Doming or be taxied in from here. So: Bocha Chica? Fuck it. Skip it. Special note to my locally stumbled upon US friends (and forum readers): you guys are awesome. Thanks for the laughs! Jeeeeeez😱 I am shocked! Heading off to Santo Domingo again next week for a 3 week stay. I do use grindr....however I stick to a strict safety protocol. Up till now never had any problems. But Marlow is a great great guy, with a heart in the right place. I take his warning seriously.
