We've had some fantastic input here on North Africa (thanks those who contributed), but I wonder if anyone has any insights on the rest of the continent. I know that South Africa is probably pretty similar to the West, but what about the rest? Obviously homosexuality is pretty taboo, so maybe there isn't anything out in the open, but does anybody else have any sexual experience to share? Sure after COVID, it might be nice to see the local wildlife, but you can't be on safari the ENTIRE time you are there...

Super glad to hear you're okay. Stay safe down there. Man, that's some scary stuff. As angry as hearing Bolsonaro voters makes me, if the crime rate is getting that bad it's a least a little bit understandable that they might want a "law and order" type candidate. It just sucks that he seems to hate us even more than he hates the criminals.

God, that's depressing. While I can certainly appreciate the desire for a better life, Bolsonaro may even be worse than Trump. Forget the hypocrisy of a garoto voting for a rabid homophobe, look at his views on blacks and drug users and everything else. Not that there's any danger of me going there anytime soon, but any garoto who supported that creep wouldn't get a dime from me. Although Bolsonaro is almost certain to win the first round, he's still only polling on about 30%. Hopefully decency will win out in the second round, and everyone else will unite against him. It happened earlier this year in Costa Rica, maybe lightning will strike twice.

Heartbreaking. Just absolutely heartbreaking. Sure, Brazil may have some of the most beautiful men on the planet, but that doesn't overshadow some of the horrifying problems that seem to exist there. How can you justify not funding any sort of protection for priceless cultural treasures like those? I just hope that at least some of the items survived the fire.

You probably know more about it than I do - I just saw some polling where he loses to Lula who can't run, but beats any of the other candidates. Although to be fair there seems to be a huge number of undecided voters. I was nervous about the runoff in the Costa Rican election, but then the good guy won.

I wish I had some hot garoto sex stories to share, but alas not yet. However, I do follow politics and I am concerned that this Bolsonaro guy might wind up being Brazil's next president. He certainly sounds like a real piece of work. If he wins, do you guys think that things are going to get worse there for gay people?

I suppose there's no way to prove that those of us who have never yet been to Brazil are trustworthy.... Thanks a lot to whoever ruined it for everybody else. Why not just post the garoto photos without any faces/identifiers? Anyway, I think I've read pretty much every Tomcal post back to the beginning, and I think I'd give 5 years off my lifespan just for a peek at his private scrapbook lol.

I'm one of those lurkers with no posts, mostly because I didn't feel like I had anything of value to add. But I am glad you mentioned that you don't approve people with no posts so I don't waste my time haha. Anyway, I just wanted to agree wholeheartedly with docbr's comment. I completely understand if you want to keep photos private - it really sucks as I loved being able to put a face or body with a name but that's the way of the world today. I also understand you would want to keep garoto's contact info private. But please, please, PLEASE don't stop writing your amazing stories in the public forums. If you have to change some details, fine, but you Mr. Tomcal, along with many of the other guys in the group have such fantastic, sexy adventures that it would be awful if those went away too. Inspired by Tomcal's and other members posts, I am hoping to go to Brazil, possibly next year. I wanted to go this year but as often happens life got in the way. At any rate, a trip there would be a once-in-a-lifetime event for me, not a once-a-year thing. So I and I am sure many other posters/lurkers eat up every word you guys say, both for fantasy material and, frankly, as something to dream about someday. Sorry for rambling, just wanted to say thanks to all of you who post on here and I hope that you won't completely leave us.
