Make sure head rules heart. I don’t want to be negative but the internet is full of stories of westerners who have been duped. I know a few from my own circle of acquaintances.

I was of those asking about Arena. I think I’ll give it a miss.

I’m sure most of the massage guys are straight. I recall some years ago a massage venue in Pattaya where the boys’ lockers were in the same room as customers. I couldn’t help but notice that they nearly all had photos of naked girls on the inside door of their lockers. They however gave happy endings to their gay customers.

How dull. Doesn’t sound like much fun.

As I have written previously on my last trip to Bangkok the Tawan was a tragic shadow of its former self. More like a chubby chasers bar with hopelessly out of shape tattooed “boys” way past their prime.

I suspect the Pentecostal churches here in Australia are very similar to those in the United States. The main one is Hillsong, which has had its fair share of scandals revealing the leadership to be first class hypocrites. On May 21 this year the Australian people voted out our first Pentecostal Prime Minister, Scott Morrison. Blessed relief!

I was mugged by 3 thugs almost in front of the Copacabana Palace when it was barely dark in full view of a number of on lookers who just stood like statues watching and did nothing to come to my aid after the assailants had fled. Believe me crime is a reality in Brazil.

A thoughtful analysis. I have been to both Thailand and Brazil. One thing. Thailand is infinitely safer. Brazil has a crime problem.

I was last in Pattaya about 5 years ago. I went to Sunee once. If you were into pubescent, tattooed anorexics you would have thought you’d have died and gone to heaven. I like men.

How long does it take to get a suit made at Tailor on Ten? Is a quality suit that much cheaper than in say Australia?
