  1. @vinapuHopefully the lecture you give him has thorough assessment to make sure he is street ready once again.
  2. @vinapuThanks for the recap on state of things at Jupiter. They posted a video on Facebook of the model walk last night which features guys in underwear - a very welcome sight indeed. I have to agree with you that the majority of them, if not all, are in the offable category. Shame though about lack of smiles. Hopefully smile or show of interest can be elicited by inviting guy for drink. I'm willing to gamble a bit in that regard, knowing lack of smile on stage might be genuine disinterest.
  3. @jason1975Yes, they still have singers, but I'm not sure at what time. They post videos of the singers on Facebook often.
  4. Thanks @Vessey. Would guys here also be offable or are they just entertaining customers while in the bar?
  5. Anyone check out this club yet? Any updates?
  6. Related to this, Winner bar in Pattaya has posted on Facebook that entertainment can legally operate as of June 1st, so they will be opening fully as a gogo bar. The announcement was accompanied by a photo of guys NOT in jeans.
  7. After following up on Line, it seems that HiSo is not gay friendly. When asked if it's only for women or if men can come too, I only received a reply saying "women"
  8. Thanks for the write up @vinapu I still feel like this bar lacks an identity, but hopefully that will come with time. I love Tawan, Moonlight, Jupiter, and even Fresh Boys as I know almost exactly what I'm going to get. A guy as you described asking for Moonlight level prices in a place that doesn't even seem to be Dream Boys caliber is a bit concerning. Even DreamBoys hodge podge identity works for me because of the surprise element, but the tips asked for seem much more realistic than what some guys at Twilight may be trying to get. I'm still hoping that the owner has some surprises for us once restrictions seem to lift more, but I'm starting to feel the pull of this place won't be enough for me to venture out of Tawan and the host bars I plan on visiting while in BKK.
  9. For those who want a glimpse into the quality of guys at HiSo, I suggest the following video. I would try to add commentary, but it speaks for itself, especially if you're into hunky guys and even moreso if you like hunky guys who can dance. https://youtu.be/5LbKxjtll4k
  10. Yeah, for me, I wouldn't say I'm sick of the gogo bars, especially since I haven't been to one in years, but it's more about finding a guy that makes my heart skip a beat. It's not even about a "type", but a special quality. I've already seen photos of two guys at Chill that give me the heart beat skip...and thus will end up with too much of my money. HiSo seems to have a ton of hunky guys, but there's one who wears glasses who could be balancing my books during the day and then doing some bedroom credits and debits at night. Must. Meet. Him. Fun Fact: It also seems that Nutt from Moonlight makes appearances at Chill, especially when they do boxing theme nights.
  11. @chum_soccerI messaged you about Hiso, but maybe you can answer here. When you say cream of the crop, does that apply to the pricing as well? I'm almost afraid it's one of those places where if you have to ask, you can't afford kind of thing. I saw pictures from there and was blown away.
  12. Honestly, it's information like this that makes me eager to go back again. I can actually be a bit shy, but I'm welcoming to any guys there who approach me and sit. This could hurt or help me I guess. All I know is that if I have two guys approach me and sit on either side of me next trip like my last time there, chances are I'll be inviting them both back for a proper tea and scones at my hotel. This info combined with Tawan's new marketing push makes me think that they want to stand out by not being yet another guys on their phones type of bar. The marketing just shows me that they're trying harder and hopefully that trickles down to behavior of workers there.
  13. @chum_soccerThanks for a well-organized and helpful post. I have never really understood the host bar concept and thus have never been to one. When you mention the hourly, is that per person or per table? I have a good local friend who I think may enjoy this environment and I want to treat him. Would I be paying per hour for both of us or just for the table? Also, any information on first guy in first row?
  14. @stijntjeThanks for the update. Let's hope that upcoming relaxed restrictions end up with the guys out of jeans and at least into shorts similar to DreamBoys. It sounds like that might be the intended uniform. From other reviews, it sounds like a major weakness also is that there are no standout guys that draw people in. While they don't have to all be Moonlight caliber, they need at least one.
  15. @MapraouThanks for the description of the show. After 3 years of nothing, I'm eager to see the show despite some of the limitations on stage size they have now. Any thoughts to share on guys in rotation? People often complain about guys being too bulky and out of season. How about attentiveness to customers in audience? On my last trip, two guys were not shy at all to come and sit with me, which they were most welcome to do as one had a beautiful body and smile and the other had a disarming babyface
  16. Tawan recently updated their FB page with what seems to be their first photo from the new stage. Tawan Post For those of us who are muscle addicts, this photo is a positive sign. Though not shredded as some in this forum prefer, the massive thighs and broad shoulders are enough for me. There's actually a major world bodybuilding competition taking place in BKK in July, so I imagine this might have an impact on the eye (or more) candy at Tawan.
  17. All your help has been invaluable. I've settled on staying at Classroom during my visit to Pattaya, but it's still good to hear about the other hotels One thing I'm still not clear on is if bringing guys back to resorts such as Hard Rock is a big no no or it's just business as normal? I've also settled on a week in Pattaya. I figure several visits to each of the main bars that are open will give me the best understanding of Pattaya life. And even if it doesn't work out for me (which would be surprising... I'm pretty easy to please), I'm looking forward to a change of pace from Bangkok.
  18. This is great to know. Any chance you could DM a name and pic if you have? I hope they seriously start to transition away from jeans to at least shorts.
  19. @gerefan Good point. Guess I'll just have to wait until I arrive.
  20. If someone has information on the tip Mr. Nutt requires, could you message me? I think a few people from this forum have taken him for bar mitzvahs and gallery openings...
  21. @orsonLast time I was there, there was a great guy with a shaved head who wore a Boston Red Sox hat. Was someone similar to that description there? I didn't get a name. I still regret not offing him, but my heart jumped out of my chest when I saw the famous Lao tiger strutting around in tight skimpy black briefs. I had the Red Sox hat guy on my right and another guy on my left and I'm almost positive they would have been okay to work on a very professional collaboration in my hotel room.
  22. Could anyone confirm that the guys that are often posted on the BBB Facebook page represent the guys who can be offed? There's one guy with a blonde buzzcut who is definitely doing it for me.
  23. @z909 Thanks for all the specifics. It's a huge help. I'm actually starting to become more excited about Pattaya than Bangkok now.
  24. Thanks @vinapu! This helps tremendously. For Classrooms, do you have any preference between King room vs apartment? I think we have similar taste in hotels and men, so I trust your judgment. Only thing that throws me off is the pinup girl poster above the bed I saw in some of the photos. Too bad there isn't a pinup boy photo on the opposite side. Just in case I want to splurge a bit and do something like Hard Rock or another resort, is taking a guy back to those places a big no no? I'm looking forward to Nice Boys for sure. My past trips have been all about Moonlight as it's the most tame to bring friends to. However, I want anything but tame this trip. Once the blood starts flowing away from my brain to other regions, my shyness melts away. I just need to remember to wear my darkest pair of shorts... The funny thing is that your advice was essentially what I was thinking. I feel like 4 days is enough to get the Pattaya experience. I know it's nothing like it's heyday, but I very much have the mindset of that it only takes one guy. The only thing I'm worried about is that I'll really like it and may not want to head back to BKK, though I know inevitably the lure of Tawan will be hard to ignore.
  25. This board has been invaluable to me over the years on my trips to Bangkok, and now I'm ready to explore Pattaya for the first time. I definitely need help. So far I've settled on taking the airport bus from swampy to Jomtien, and then I'm stuck after that. From descriptions people have given, I imagine my "home" bar would end up being BBB as I tend to prefer Moonlight and Tawan when in BKK (though I know there won't really be Tawan types in Pattaya.) What are some recommended hotels that would make access to BBB easy for me and any gents I happen to off? I prefer no hassle from front desk. As far as price, I prefer mid range where I could maybe get a junior suite etc for the same price as a standard room in a more upscale place. I would like to avoid anywhere too sketchy, but also not necessary family friendly. For comparison, I'm a big fan of Raya Surawong in BKK Also, I'm kind of...pent up...after no BKK for a few years and really wouldn't mind to try a bar where naughtiness happens inside. Where do you suggest? Guys don't need to be the Tawan/Moonlight type in that case. Flirtatious and touchy would do the trick (though I think for me the only true turn off is long hair.) I've read about places from the past such as Golden Cock in BKK that I would have probably enjoyed and would like to know the best Pattaya equivalent. While I'm sure there's info on this scattered in previous threads, obviously things are different now. If it's helpful, I'm planning for two weeks in mid June. How would you split up the time between BKK and Pattaya?
