It didn't used to be that way. I haven't been going to BKK as often and the last two times I went, I just caught a regular taxi.

I'm getting ready to go back to Bangkok in January, after several years away. I've always taken a taxi to from the airport - even back when there were no meter taxis and the whole thing was super annoying. And there was no expressway, so it took forever. (Yeah, I'm that old.) I'm wondering if it still makes sense to take a taxi. Personally, if it's not a whole lot more in price, and it means I get to just sit and enjoy the ride, wouldn't a taxi be better? Or is there some reason why I should avoid taxis?

My visa didn't state any points of entry/departure. I wonder if this still matters. They do ask on the application, but it is not on the visa. Several people on a FB group I'm following are asking about this.

Thank you for sharing this. The process was simple. I got a multiple entry visa for $50. Applied on a Friday and my visa was approved the following Wednesday. I did freak out a little because I couldn't remember my registration number or whatever it was they gave me after I completed the application. But then I found a photo of it on my phone and also an email they sent me that I put in my "travel" folder. LOL - is it old age or smoking too much pot? Anyway, the process was easy. Seems like you used to have to go to a consulate for a multiple-entry visa, but I'm glad I was able to do it all online.

Hi guys, I'm thinking about returning to Bangkok after many years. Heartbroken that Babylon has closed. I spent many wonderful hours there over the years. The last time I was there, a hot Vietnamese guy flashed me several times while I was in the pool and he was sitting on a lounge. We had a great time in a cabin. I've always stayed at Furama Silom - it was the Tower Inn before. They have a great breakfast as well. Convenient location, near Skytrain station, Patpong and no issue bringing guests in - reception is further back on the first floor - you enter to the elevators. Big rooms that have been nicely renovated.

Absolutely agree. I went to Boca Chica and couldn't get out fast enough. I'd booked a room, and even though I was losing money, I contacted a place I'd stayed at In Las Terrenas, made a reservation, and went there instead (even though I knew I would not be having any sex there). I'd passed through Boca Chica on a previous trip and it looked nice, and I'd read some hot stories on another site, but no one mentioned the whores and the constant hassling you experience. Definitely not worth the trip.
