he knows that mice play when cat is away.
When many years ago one of Boyztown bars "Happy something" closed there were comments that Neil the owner was too often absent and boys ruined the place by themselves
I remember reading a book about Sunee Plaze written by Micheal (forget his surname) who was the owner of Top Man Bar at the entrance to the Plaza. It was directly opposite Forest House.
In it he describes how he went away for a week or two and left his bar in the hands of some of the staff. When he returned he found similar things had happened and had to get rid of the stuff too.
Sorry cannot remember the title or the Authors surname

More expensive mind you ,if you stay in different ones
I want to try the Classroom hotel this trip
Why not stay in a condo if you are there for 2 months? Not a problem in high season and even less of a problem in low season if only staying for a month.
All the condos have a balcony.

I frequently take my evening walk along the length of Dongtan Beach and back.
I used to pass numerous other Brits (you could tell by the language) but this time, in the last 2 1/2 months, I haven’t heard any.
Same in Jomtien generally and in Pattaya.
I do pass numerous farangs but unfortunately don’t recognise their language. So not Western European (German French Dutch etc) as I would recognise them.

A little bit of basic maths…
350000/2 = 175000 fucks each.
50 years is 50X365 = 18250 daysSo 175000 fucks divided by 18250 days = 9.5 fucks per day EVERY day. No rest days or holidays.
Typical press nonsense.

Is this a Pattaya-centric problem? This will be my 22nd year in Bangkok and never ran into this problem.
Certainly a regular thing in Pattaya.
No one wants to walk anywhere….except Falangs!

I seriously think that next time I go to BKK, I will travel much lighter. I took way too much clothes, most of which went unworn.
I guess you haven’t heard the expression about going on holiday?
” I should have taken half as many clothes and twice as much money!”

From reading these forums, I get that Pattaya is a shell of its former self. No hotel however splendid can make things better. And 22-miles away?
He said 22 minutes, not miles.
Anyway bit too far from Jomtien Complex. Many decent places a lot nearer.

. The Office of the Insurance Commission is suggesting the cost annually would be around 200 million baht, or more depending on the crucial detail. The debt could be paid by the central budget, or offset by yet another disguised tax such as a supplement on the tickets all international passengers arriving in Thailand.
I realise this is only for accidents but if the cost is 200million baht per year and there are 30 million tourists per year that means the cost should be 6.6 baht per person.
If it was extended to cover general illness which required hospitalisation then there would be an increase. Clearly wouldn’t be a lot.
It would be interesting to know how many tourists actually end up in hospital and what the total cost is. Then divide it by the expected 30-40 million tourists per year. The actual figure per person would probably be very small.
So why not add a minor addition to the airfares BUT make it quite clear that it covers hospitalisation costs. Doubt many would complain.

I was in Doubleshot in Jomtien this morning at 04.01 and taking a pee before leaving.
As I left the toilet I passed about 10 personnel in uniform who were entering the bar.
My ladyboy friend urged me to leave immediately, which I was going to do anyway.
As tonight was the first night of legitimate opening until 04.00 ( which is why we were still there)this was obviously planned.
Be interesting to see what happens.

I believe there is a great deal of misunderstanding about the requirements.
As the headline in the local paper says …
”Thai Authorities to Impose Sobering-Up Areas to Prevent Drunk Driving Amid 4AM Bar Closings”
So if you are not driving it should not apply.
-
If you ask a non Thai boy who you know, and who has been here a long time, you will be surprised at the number who willingly admit they are over-stayers.
Shhhhhh!

One other Pattaya question from me. I hear that Jomtien Plaza is doing very good business. How many in the customer base there is Asian? My expectation would be very small.
I now stay close to Jomtien Complex and so visit regularly.
I do not think I have seen any Asian customers. Most seem to be expats or Europeans.

I arrived from the UK. Usually 30 days.
Filled in the horrendous visa application form online and got 60 days stamped in my passport or arrival the other day.
All depends where you are coming form and what’s available.

More than 20+ yrs, never a problem with Mike Taxi, so what makes the limo pattaya better, do they use actual limos or you prefer paying more??
Excellent vehicles, well driven, quick reliable booking system, waited 2 hours for my delayed flight.
A few hundred baht is nothing out of the total cost of a 3 month trip to Thailand….Have used them for at least 10 years after a few “failed” taxi companies one of which broke down on the way to the Airport….
I didn’t say they were better than your company!

They may rip off the customer like they did to a friend of mine at a Boyztown go go bar and deliver a boy drink chit for every drink the boys took from the bottle of whisky he purchased.
Please name the bar…..
