  1. Very true. 100 baht was required. He is a student with Thai mother and farang father living away from Thailand and he travels to visit his father quite often so I got the impression money was not an issue for him. I was just fortunate he likes older guys. At DJ Station it was a rare occurance to find a non mb but it does happen. I am quite happy to go with a mb if I meet someone I like there.
  2. This hairy old farang was standing alone in a packed DJ Station last Saturday night. A very slim, cute guy was dancing alone near me. I admired his dancing, smiled amd he ran over and hugged and kissed me. I was in the mood for fun and he acted like a typical mb looking for a customer and I was happy to pay if required. He still had his two drink tickets and brought me a Heineken which was a bit unusual if he was a mb. That stopped me asking "how much" and we went back to my room, had a nice chat and some great fun. I had my wallet ready and happy to pay but a little cautious because I have met a few guys who were not money boys over the years at DJ. Before I offered he said "I not mb but can you please pay taxi home" No problem.
  3. I am staying at Bandara Suites Soi Saladaeng 1 for Songkran. Easy walk to Silom Road. Stayed before at Songkran time and no problems with staff or anything else there. I booked months ago so not sure if they have rooms available.
  4. Tip the going rate for bar offs and massage and extra if they make an effort to make the experience something special. They will not respect you any more if you are too over generous, usually the opposite. And that is not a criticism of anyone here, your generosity is obviously gratefully accepted, especially for guys you have known over many visits. Grindr and JackD guys are usually available for much less than bar boy rates unless they are really hot. Up to you to negotiate before a meet. If you are offered a freebie take it. Hard to believe but not everyone in Thailand is a mb. There are many guys visiting from other Asian countries and Thais, even in Pattaya who I have met and would be insulted if offered money for sex. Some delicate questions before meeting does help. I usually meet at least two good looking guys from the apps who are not money boys on every visit to Thailand.
  5. Thanks for the reports and photos. Excellent as always. I have been finding the hot looking guys asking 1500 from the apps and Romeo in Bangkok and Pattaya are happy to accept 1000, especially for regular short time visits. But there are exceptions where the cost is always acceptable, like your current Laos guy
  6. Not sure if it is the next Morlam but there should be a birthday celebration Morlam on Friday December 5 at the site further north from the old X-Zyte.
  7. I stayed in KL for a few nights recently. I received lots of messages from money boys, mostly from the Philippines working in KL and very up front asking for 200 Ringit but the 150 you quoted would be about the correct rate. There are lots of other guys who are not money boys so I was very careful with the wording of messages so as not to offend. Not always easy to hook up because most guys are working or at university or both and most don't live close to downtown.
  8. I chatted with Set (his PBM name) at the Morlam concert in Pattaya five weeks ago before I returned home. He said he was working in a Pattaya hotel, waiter or reception. If he is still in Pattaya then he will probably be on Gay Romeo or one of the apps. I do not have his contact details so some searching will be needed. I reckon he was from Burriram so you could check that location on Gay Romeo. I have known him since he was a dancer at Krazy Dragon in 2008/9, a nice guy and still looks good even though that PBM would have been made a few years ago.

    Falling in Love

buckbee is dating a Hong Kong guy not a Thai. Unless they make it clear they are a money boy any offer of payment for sex would be an insult to Hong Kong guys or those living in some other parts of Asia. What happens in Thailand is not the norm everywhere. It is a small percentage of any population but there are young guys looking to date older without the need to empty our bank accounts.
  10. I was also at the BBB show tonight. The best performance I have seen from the B Boys. The twins were the highlight of the show, worth the effort of watching the rest of the show just to see their very athletic display of strength and skill.
  11. Anonone said "I was in Bangkok for the major red shirt protests about 3 years ago. It was a great experience and even though I was in the midst of it all, never felt unease" I was feeling safe before they started throwing molotov cocktails at Rama 4 and all the Soi 4 bars were closed at 1000pm. Nice report so far.
  12. "Actually, what is the price that veterans out there paid for short time? 1000 -1500bahts? Someone please advise.. Thanks" quote mmjmmj Boyztown is now 1500 but many of the guys can be found on the apps snd are happy with 1000 and many ok with 800. Ask for price before you take them from a bar or online. I offed a guy from Vassa Bar towel night on Friday and gave him 1000 short time and he was happy. Great fun and highy recommend Vassa Bar for entertainment amongst the other boring bars in Pattayaland and Boyztown. The others need to try something different. Lucky 7 already closed and the rest have little interest. Toy Boys and Vassa are the only bars I visit now.
  13. Both times I offed guys from karaoke or go go they took me to the same place, a very acceptable and easy walking distance short time hotel at 300 baht. One of those hotels with curtains outside the room for privacy and very convenient. No name but all the working boys would know where to take you.
  14. My first visit to Taiwan and Gay Pride. A very good day. It was a bit cool for a lot of skin to be on display. I saw more six packs at the gay hot spring last night. Wish I could take some photos there. Sorry, some photos need rotating.
  15. http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/front/archives/2012/10/28/2003546269 Quote from my own post but fountainhall is not available at present. Hopefully he will return soon as his knowledge about Asia and information sharing is much appreciated. The article in the above link answers most of my questions about the Gay Pride parade and I have a friend from Taiwan returning home from Australia at that time and ready to show me around Taipei.
  16. fountainhall, thanks for the information you have post about Taiwan. Your posts and the guys from Taiwan that I have met in Australia have motivated me to be in Taipei for the 2013 parade. My first visit to Taiwan and the limited information I can find about the parade route is that it starts at the Gay Village. More details about the parade route and the best places to take photos would be appreciated. What time would be best to get to the parade? I will be staying for about two weeks so I will try the hot springs and some of your other suggestions as well.
  17. Another aussie_ here. Before I started renting my room by the month I stayed at the Welcome Plaza Hotel which is close to Boyztown and they showed no interest who or how many boys you are taking to your room. You could ask them to take the boy's ID Card if you are worried about safety. Price was around 1000 but maybe more now in high season. You can buy a USB for internet at Tukcom on Pattaya Tai road if there is no wifi. There are mostly average looking boys in the bars and massage places here at present and I rarely see a stunner. Even Gay Romeo is quiet. Maybe the boys went home to clean up after the floods but it is very disappointing for high season. I hope they come back for you in January and for me to
  18. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sa, you are one of the nicest and loveliest guys in all Thailand. Sorry I will miss your 21st Birthday but I will be in Pattaya later in September to see you and everyone at Ya Ya Bar for belated birthday drinks.
  19. I stayed at Hat Sai Kaew (Diamond Beach), the main tourist beach on Koh Samet for a weekend in July 2010 with some Thai friends. After checking out a couple of places we found some newly built bungalows on the beach for 1500 baht on the first night and 2000 baht on the second night (Saturday night). I did go for a walk the next day and found some very nice bungalows on the road between the pier and the beach for 1000 baht per night. Not sure of the names for these places, just walk in and ask to see the rooms if the place looks OK from the soi, there are usually some rooms available even on the weekend. We enjoyed a nice meal sitting on the mats at one of the beach side restaurants. There are fire dancing shows with many sexy guys near the Ploy Pub, you need to get there early if you want a seat. After the show there was an impromptu party/disco at the outside bar of the Ploy Pub. Plenty of gay boys at the other indoor disco in the same Ploy Pub complex which finishes at 3 am. On the second night we walked about 2 km along and near the beach to another place where there was an assortment of str8 bars and clubs where we found a very gay disco being held in a large beach side hut. If I was not with my then bf there were plenty of available guys. Sorry about the lack of precise directions, ask the locals or the boys at the Ploy disco about any gay places, they are friendly enough.
  20. The first of the latest batch of movies in 3D I saw was Thor, but not at an iMax Theater. Wearing spectacles and the 3D glasses was a bit awkward. I could not see clearly without my prescription lenses behind the supplied 3D glasses. I still enjoyed the movie and 3D effect but it would be good if they supplied larger 3D glasses to cover prescription spectacles more effectively. Thanks for the review of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides fountainhall, I will have to wait until I return to Thailand to take a "young friend" to a movie again.

    Bangkok

Sorry I should have explained further. I always feel safe at the Thai clubs but with my limited Thai language skills it is easier to direct a taxi to the location, order drinks etc with a Thai guy or group with you. I feel more comfortable going with a group but I am sure you could go to ICK and if you make an effort to be friendly with the locals without being too forward you could find yourself invited to join a table of Thai guys.

    Bangkok

I have been to the ICK Pub at Lamsalee recently with my Thai friend and they had ten twink type to average build coyote boys dancing after midnight. We wrapped 100 baht notes around a bottle of soda and the boys stood at the front of the stage and poured the water over their glistening bodies. I thought that was quite good and they also had a reasonable quality show. There were lots of cute Thai guys at ICK Pub but I would not venture there without a Thai guy with me or a group of friends. Near ICK Pub we also dropped into a huge barn like place called "Country View" which is similar to the Tawan Daeng Clubs. They played Morlam type music and the drink prices were very good. There must be many great entertainment places that us farangs never hear about in Bangkok.
  23. Dick's Cafe is a good location but in my opinion Maxis is better placed for viewing the passing parade. At Maxis you can see all the boys from Bonny and Bangkok Massage places. Also X Boys bar is opposite Maxis and if you find a good seat you can see some of the boys dancing. Best time is 8.00 pm onwards when the boys are arriving for work with the bars opening at 8.30. I have had a meal at Maxis many times and never been disappointed with the quality of the food or the eye candy in the soi.
  24. I stayed at Yensabai Condo on my last three visits to Thailand. Yensabai Condo rate for wireless internet is 1000 baht per month - 500 baht/week or 100 baht/day. The internet worked fine and was reasonably fast. I also keep a Wireless USB/Sim card which works with Edge in Thailand and is slow but good enough to check emails and Gay Romeo in most places that I travel in Thailand.
  25. Thanks for the advice Lonely. I have just been reading the following thread on Thai Visa forum which is quite interesting for those considering retirement in Thailand: My link
