  1. Dear all, I am writing this report on my last day in the land of smiles. I am now sitting in one of the thai restaurant in front of jomtien beach, about to start eating breakfast, alone, after having bought my bus ticket back to suvarnabhumi at 11am for my departure to kuala lumpur at around 4pm. I should arrive in the airport around 1pm, giving me enough for checking in and having lunch at the airport. Seafood soup with rice and a no-ice mango shake (asked for mango juice but not available, i said mango shake is cold for early morning and she said can make with no ice) While waiting my food to cool down a bit, im writing the introduction to my trip report, just to start putting some info so i wont get lazy to write the report when im home and busy with work. I barely slept last night lol i feel blessed that i am to be able to take this trip and even though it was "planned" at the very last minute, without proper plan, it went better than "planned". I would say that this trip is my first official solo trip to Thailand for the sole purpose of boys, since my last three trip has been mixed with other trips, or partly with straight friends. After this breakfast, ill hang around dongtan beach, maybe if there is any masseur available, get one last massage before heading to bangkok. Ill continue writing after this whenever time permits. Watch out for next installment!
  2. From Travel and Leisure "A lot has changed in recent years," says Roots founder Varatt Vichit-Vadakan. "Thailand is probably the only country in the world that has a well-developed consumer market — loads of specialty coffee shops in its big cities — while also being a coffee-producing country." When Han Wang moved to Bangkok eight years ago, one of the first things he noticed was the coffee. Unlike the delicate light roasts and well-balanced flat whites Wang learned to appreciate while attending college in Australia, everything seemed “too sweet or bitter to even consider swallowing.” Starbucks had been a major player since opening its first shops in the country in 1998; its robust dark roasts and cloying Frappuccinos were as ubiquitous as the equally strong, sugary iced coffee (a.k.a. oliang) that had long been a staple of Thailand’s shophouses and market stalls. Wang wasn’t about to give up on finding a truly great cup, though. Having recently witnessed the rise of third-wave coffee in Taiwan — Wang did a stint in Taipei before relocating to Bangkok — the Malaysian-born entrepreneur was convinced he could spark a similar movement in one of Southeast Asia’s most progressive cities. So he set his psychology degree aside and launched Phil Coffee Co. in an industrial neighborhood, with the help of his father and two sisters. Wang didn't rush into running a cafe, instead focusing on his roasting techniques and wholesale accounts for the first three years. Eventually, the team set up Phil's flagship shop in Bangkok's fashionable Ekkamai neighborhood. He wasn’t alone. Around the same time, other influential Bangkok outposts like One Ounce For Onion, Rocket Coffeebar, and Casa Lapin began attracting hip locals with elaborate pour-over setups, Western-style small plates, and bottles of cold brew for beating the heat and humidity. One leading figure during these early days was Roots, a heavyweight roaster that also happens to run one of the hottest brunch spots in town, Roast. "A lot has changed in recent years," says Roots founder Varatt Vichit-Vadakan. "Thailand is probably the only country in the world that has a well-developed consumer market — loads of specialty coffee shops in its big cities — while also being a coffee-producing country." 3. From The Nation (30 Jan.) The Education Ministry on Wednesday ordered educational institutes in Greater Bangkok to close for two days, starting tomorrow, after air pollution worsened. The ministry will review the situation this weekend to decide whether the measures would be extended, said minister Dr Theerakiat Charoensettasin. The decision followed instructions from Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha for the ministry to consider urgent measures to deal with the worsening air pollution in Bangkok on Wednesday, the minister said. The Pollution Control Department reported of unsafe levels of PM2.5 – airborne particulates 2.5 microns or less in diameter – in 39 locations around the city, of which 23 were along main roads. The level hit 141 micrograms of PM2.5 per cubic metre of air – nearly three times the safe limit of 50 – on Rama II Road in Muang Samut Sakhon, Samut Sakhon province, 45 kilometres from Bangkok. If the situation remains unchanged, the order to suspend the classes may have to continue, he said. The minister was speaking after chairing a meeting of the Office of the Basic Education Commission, Office of the Vocational Education Commission, Office of the Private Education Commission and Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC). Theerakiat said that the OHEC will ask cooperation from universities to consider suspension of classes for the sake of students. Referring to the O-net examination scheduled to take place between February 2-3, he said nothing could be done at the moment so the examination will proceed as scheduled. http://www.nationmultimedia.com/detail/national/30363218

  5. Kika is a Mediterranean restaurant on Soi Convent. Map There was a good amount of buzz in the Bangkok foodie world before they opened, which turned out to be pretty well-deserved. They open early at 10:00 for breakfast/brunch and go late - 1:00 am (although I wonder if occasionally they close earlier if no one is around?). I think the food is quite good. Not as expensive as some places. More expensive than the street food joints nearby. Portions are large. French fries are excellent. If you have your heart set on one of the specials, get there earlier rather than later, because I believe they do run out. Now that Vesper has gone all-cocktails, it's a nice convenient neighborhood spot to grab a bite when one of the Silom Complex spots or Hooters just won't do. Best of all it's very gay/gay-friendly. Last week I took a friend from one of the bars to dinner there for his birthday. The only looks we got were longing lusftul/jealous looks from some of the other patrons and the usual smiles from the cute male and female staff. It's not gay all-male as in Balcony or Telephone Bar, but it's very comfortable and fun. The regular customer crowd is very mixed, and, no surprise, mostly expats.. Special shoutout to "La Vida Kika", the Sunday "Tea Dance" party every Sunday afternoon/evening. It's a boisterous fun gay/mixed party crowd that spills out onto the sidewalk. Is High Tea on Fire Island? No. But it might be a nice way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon with friends or to meet people, and kudos to Kika for having it. Kika Website La Vida Kika. Kika Facebook Pet peeve: The menu is only in English, so you will have to translate for local companions.
  6. On a happier note, just wanted to share a reminder of how simple and pleasant things really can be here in the no-strings-attached world. This screen cap was all it took to arrange a perfectly wonderful afternoon experience using Line. This particular chain started with my sending the photo of who I wanted. (I added the "Wow" because I don't know for sure the original is meant for public consumption. But cute. Very cute.) Full disclosure, the shop (Sabaidee Spa) already had my phone number, otherwise they would have asked that to take my booking. Food Panda is more difficult than this...
  7. From The Nation Asia’s largest LGBTQ exhibition to open in Bangkok later this year In keeping with the Kingdom’s progressive stance on LGBTQ rights, a major art exhibition exploring gender rights in Asia is to be staged in the capital. “Spectrosynthesis II- Exposure of Tolerance: LGBTQ in Southeast Asia”, the largest-ever survey of regional contemporary art, will explore gender issues and feature more than 200 works by 50 artists. It will open at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) on November 23 and run until March 1 next year. The exhibition received huge critical acclaim when it was first staged in Taiwan 2017, after which its Hong Kong-based organiser, the Sunpride Foundation, chose Bangkok as its second stop. http://www.nationmultimedia.com/detail/national/30361941
  8. Hi I wonder if there any drug store/pharmacy in Bangkok, where I can get some condoms (preferably SKYN brand) and also silicone base lube in pocket size packs. If you know rough estimate price as well, would be great! Thanks in advance

    Newbie to Bangkok

Hi, I'm from Tokyo and visiting Bangkok in early December for work/short vacation. In need of some advice so I can make my first visit memorable: 1) I am so-called Twink looking bottom, average hight (170cm) but super skinny. Is there any good sauna for someone extremely skinny like myself can enjoy? I'm looking to have some fun with people around my age. 2) Since this will be my first visit to Thailand, I wanna be little bit adventurous. Thinking of trying a massage place. As I've seeing threads here, it looks like the "happy endings" are not necessarily all the way service. Is there any massage place I can go all the way with a masseur? I will be staying around Silom, only visiting Bangkok. Thanks a lot in advance! Best,
  10. I'll be in Thailand from 16 November to 1 December. In Pattaya from the 16th to 21st or 22nd, then in Bangkok for the remainder. Enjoy meeting other Forum members. Send me a PM if you'd like to meet up. Note: PaulSF is home (or on his way) and I'll missing sitting with him at Maxi's.
  11. Good news for those missing Senso, they are reoping on October 21st. This from their website
  12. Has anyone here tried Triple 888 Massage? https://www.facebook.com/triple888massage/
  13. Hey, first of all: Thanks for that blog. I plan a trip to Thailand, have never been there, so I looked to some forum entries for some basic information, but I didn't find - too many entries here! :-) So please don't mind for these silly questions. I am a single traveler and I do like Thaiboys, so I just want to know what is the usual tip for a boy for sex - how much money do they expect? Are the tips the same in Bangkok and Pattaya and what would you say: is it better for me as a solo traveler looking for the boys to go to Bangkok or to Pattaya? Can you recommend any places for sex and is there a possibility to have group sex? ;-) I am sure you all know this ans would appreciate any information. Thanks a lot!

    Regulars

I am interested to hear how other members stay in touch with their favourite boys and set up repeat meetings on later trips. On my last visit, I collected a couple of Line contacts from boys who made an impression. Since then I have been receiving a steady stream of stickers, “how are yous” and the occasional selfies every few days. I respond to each message with matching levels of enthusiasm but without being overly effusive. My question is, do boys actively try to bring back a good customer they liked and actually remember who they are amongst the hundreds of offs? Or is this just an effective form of marketing that they do for every customer? The attention is flattering but I am trying not to read more into this than it is. I can imagine they wake up in the morning, and go to “work” - sending out stickers, smilies and the same selfie to every single customer in their little black book. I know for a fact the boy who stays in touch the most is very popular and I am just one punter amongst many. Toying with the idea of booking him in advance for my next trip but also wouldn’t want to plan my schedule around a misplaced sense of loyalty to a boy who possibly wont know me from Adam if we passed each other in the street. My second question - and sorry for the lengthy post - will boys agree to meet outside bars? Eg skip work and meet me at a non gogo bar or at my hotel? I may not be in the mood to sit through a whole show, knowing already who I will off. Do I offer to compensate for the bar fine and loss of show earnings on top of tip? My friend who has a Dreamboy regular usually “reserves” him over Line but will go to the bar, pay the cover, off fee and sit through part of the show before leaving with him. Given I have very limited time, a more efficient method that is also acceptable to the boy would be ideal.

    Dance Club in Bangkok

Hi, will be in Bangkok for 2 nights in November (Friday and Saturday) before heading out to Phuket. Is there any fun dance clubs in Bangkok? We used to go to DJ Station but not sure if that’s still around. We’re staying in the Silom area. Thanks in advance.

    BBB Inn

A few weeks ago I had booked via the Hotelcom app to stay at the BBB Inn . It described itself as a Gay hotel right among the action. To cut a long story short , on arriving they didn't have my booking in their system. I decided not to stay and I notified the hotel app and they refunded my money. I never do see any reviews of the BBB Inn unlike other gay only hotels/ guesthouse. To me I did change my mind for various reasons mostly because they hadn't received my booking so they said, but those looking for a hotel close to the bars you can't get better than this location. It's around the 1200 baht a night average price from the travel apps. They also have a few albeit expensive massage boys on staff. If the circumstances had been different I may have wanted to stay there.
  18. Had a great massage at Nine Spa. http://ninemenspa.com It's boutique massage shop near Asoke. There are usually about 10 guys available who work there, but typical for shops like this, if you just walk in there might be only a few available (or you might have to wait a bit). The best way to go there is to book ahead. I found the shop very responsive and easy to work with with via Line. Line ID @NINESPA. They regularly posts pictures of who is currently working there, so it's easy to pick and reserve the guy you want. The facilities are nice -- a converted townhouse on a quiet side street just a few minutes walk from the chaos of Soi Cowboy. The map on the website is accurate, and it even has a picture of the front of the building, which is helpful. Around 8:00 there was no real traffic on the neighboring side sois. Easy for a taxi to navigate or moccy. Massage is on a very large massage table with face cutout. Stairs are involved, in case that matters. 700 for a 90 minute oil massage. Minimum tip is 1,000 baht. My massage was truly fantastic. It was a firm swedish/sports massage, not so much a Wat Pho stretchy massage. Special services were also great. I've had the same masseur many times before, and it's of course extra-nice when there's a bit of chemistry between client and masseur. Shower alone before, Masseur naked throughout massage. Shower together after, when I got a thorough and affectionate cleaning to get off all that massageoil -- reminded me of a young mahout washing a prized elephant. Sum up: --Probably not a shop for twink lovers, but for others very highly recommend. --If you don't want to pick based on photos, somewhat upscale boutique shops like Nine, Baantewa and Leo are not for you, but beware you might be missing something pretty good. ;} But that's ok. --Book ahead. --Nine Spa is up there in the same top-rated league as Baantewa and Leo Spa.
  19. The other day I had great visit to Sanctuary Spa by A in Bangkok. It's another of the smaller/mid-size shops. Good massage. Great masseur. Fantastic time. Highly recommend. Sanctuary Spa is in one of the City Court buildings just of Rama 4. https://goo.gl/maps/wAfN1LRc9bm There are a couple of other massage shops in the same overall complex(Candle T; Sabaidee). To get to those other shops you enter the garage/car park and they are on the right. To get to Sanctuary Spa you go past the garage entrance (as you are coming from Rama 4) and take the first side street on the right. The entrance to the shop is on the right. There's a sign. You walk through a jungle-like agglomeration of plants, which is cute and certainly makes the place a bit more discreet. I had not booked ahead. 7:30 on a weeknight (of a holiday week), there were about 7-8 guys available. Around the same time I showed up two local customers were also there. I think that is the typical customer base, although clearly foreigners are 100% welcome. You select from photos on a phone. All good looking different types. I would say all mid-to-late 20s, but really, who can tell. The shop regularly updates who is available on Line. Line ID sanctuaryspa The very nice calm manager (A?) was more than happy to say who was "man/top," etc. That wasn't the most important thing on my mind, and I had forgotten my glasses, so the photos were a bit of a blur. Following the old rule for selecting wine, I chose the second to last photo. The rooms are very clean and modern. A bit on the smaller side. Very nice large shower and sink in the room. Linens very nice. Nothing shabby or run down about this place at all. I showered (alone), waited a bit for the masseur. As so often happens, he was better looking than I expected. Masseur fully clothed. I have a pretty standard routine for new shops. 90 minute aroma/oil. It's easy to fill a 60 minute massage time. 90 minutes the real skill comes out. I just go with the flow, let him take the lead and enjoy. I think the real downside of micromanaging a massage is that it takes him off his stride. This is particularly true with someone who is new to me. After the first time I think they are more comfortable and know me a bit and it's easier to say "less here--more here." There was possibly a little too much time on the calves, which is the curse of 90 minute massages. I almost said "enough already" but he moved on. After the lengthy calf rubdowns everything was much better and more balanced so I am very happy that I didn't say anything. Really, really happy. The massage was not rushed at all and then the masseur expertly and aggressively moved to the special stuff. Just great. I was actually a little bit surprised. The guy was either a really voracious sexual animal or one of the greatest actors of our time. Oh, to be young again. 90 minute aroma/oil is 900 baht. (60 minutes/90 minutes/120 minutes = 600/900/1,200 baht, I believe). I asked and the minimum tip is 600 for regular. For "special" it's 1,000 baht. Comparable to similar shops. You can buy a pack of five 90 minute massages for 3,500, which brings the cost down to a very nice 700 baht each. Of course I did that. Overall very happy and definitely belongs high on the list for repeat visits. Very nice facilities. Chill relaxed vibe. Good hard working masseurs. And there is a great street food scene all along the street leading up to the shop.
  20. I’ve planned a short one week trip to Thailand to relax a bit after some months of hard work in Europe. First part is planned in Pattaya (Agate hotel) and the last days in Bangkok (Raya Surawong hotel). Part 1 : Pattaya I had a very comfortable 11 hour direct flight with Thai Airways. As I had the front row, I had extra leg space and that is nice to have. However, my left feet was itching all the time. Arrived around 6AM at the airport, immigration took only 15 minutes and my taxi to Pattaya was waiting for me. I prefer to stay in the Jomtien Complex, but not in the Zing as last time. Agate Hotel is indeed a lot better, but more expensive. The room is very nice. When undressing in my room, I notice the itching on my feet was caused by an infection. So first thing is to visit this website and search the keyword “hospital” to see a doctor. Bangkok Hospital in Pattaya has really good quality service. Very friendly staff guides you as soon as you arrive. Doctors and nurses are really caring about their patients. Doctor has a look, does some small surgery and suggests me to stay overnight, which I refuse, so I get some antibiotics and a new appointment the next day for checkup. The bandage on my foot makes walking difficult and the doctors message is “no water, no sand”. The rest of day 1, I spend near the hotel in the Jomtien Complex. As I’m not allowed to have water on my feet, this excludes showering before and after massage. Excellent dinner at Poseidon : a 3-way course with a drink for about 500 baht. I really love this chef! Afterwards a drink in one of the bars, where a boy named Soda recognises me from last time, so we have a drink together. Not into offing today, so back to the hotel to rest. Day 2 starts with hospital visit. Luckily no further complications, so daily wound care is all I need for the rest of my trip. In the early evening I invite Soda to my room. Nice time together and 1.000 bath well spent. Going to Boystown afterwards. Visited most of the bars, and stayed quite long in X-boys as I liked the show. Day 3 is for Sunee. Winner was a bit disappointing but as drink price is only 79 baht I don’t mind having a look, didn’t enter Eros as I didn’t find the boys attractive. Had fun in Nice Boys and the bar just besides. The boy I had invited to sit with me even suggested a 3-some with one of the other boys. But I wasn’t in the mood tonight, so I didn’t off anyone.
  21. I usually leave it to Reader to post info like this, but FYI :- On Dec 23, the Bangkok gay community is taking over National Stadium for a sports day and pride parade. Bangkok Gay Festival 2017 is organized by Bangkokgay, who are claiming the event as "the world's first gay sports day" to take place in a real stadium. The day's highlights include a parade of muay Thai fighters led by Parinya "Nong Toom" Charoenphol, the first ever transgender muay Thai fighter, and a full molam band providing live music. On top of a packed roster of sporting events is the pride parade, which will take place inside the National Stadium at the end of the day. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketbox, with special promotions until the end of the month. All seating areas are B500 (originally B900 and B1,500). The profits from the festival will be donated to Wat Phrabat Nam Plu, the temple/foundation that treats people with AIDS. For more information about the event, contact 089-149-3175. In related news, what had been billed as Bangkok's first pride parade since 2006, which was set for November, was recently postponed. Bangkok Pride is now likely to take place in early 2018. http://bk.asia-city.com/nightlife/news/bangkok-host-worlds-first-gay-sports-day-december
  22. King Spa - Bottom Line: Skip It. In the process of updating my BKK massage review guide, which brought me back to King Spa, which is by the Bang Chak BTS station on the Sukhumwit line. Last year I had good experiences and good reports, and I've pretty much been a booster, although I recall one forum member reporting inconsistent experiences. My guy from last year is gone, so I booked someone different. Lest anyone think I only give positive reviews - this was not a particularly good experience. King Spa is a bit of a walk from the BTS station, but there's no traffic so it's quite pleasant. The house is fine. Massage room large, big mat on floor, shower in room. I was on time, but had to wait a bit for the masseur - typical BKK time. Not a big deal. If you don't book ahead based on pics you select from the guys in a room with a glass wall by the entrance. When I'm in "reviewing" mode I tend to be go-with-the flow, let's see how it goes when the masseur is calling the shots. In the first instance I think it's fair to judge a shop on their terms. I also usually start with 90 minute massages - just to see if the shop will fill the whole 90 minutes or do you often get cut short. Masseur wore sarong/pants throughout. The massage was ok, if a bit gentle, but I got the feeling pretty quickly that the guy wasn't a particularly well-trained or good massage (or maybe didn't care). Just basics. (BTW- lack of training or poor massage skills aren't the end of the world for me - enthusiasm will, for me, make up for a lot.) Not too far into the massage (20 mins?) he gave up on my back and legs and had me flip over. So the inner me starts wondering if we'll even get to a full hour, much less 90 minutes, or maybe he was more "let's get the massage over with and move on the the fun stuff" guy. A little attention to the legs then quickly starts massaging my junk. All well and good. I am happy. Then he switches to oral - very skilled. I am very happy. After a few minutes of that he lay down next to me and starts a very slow tantalizing hand job. I'm ok. This could be really great. This goes on for about 5 minutes and I am thinking to myself, "Very interesting, sort of tantric experience. I like." Then he falls asleep. Seriously. I decide I'm a cool guy; this is oddly intimate; I'll go with the flow. So I relax with him in my arms. I feel kind of proud of myself, because not everyone would put up with this. And I think to myself the prelims were really good, and surely it would all end happily, so ok. And isn't it great he's so comfortable he can just sleep. That's pretty much it for the next forty minutes. I slowly massage his back. All is right in the world He stirs. A little cuddle. And then he says "Up. Times up." Seriously. He tells me I can shower and goes off. I do shower. There's no tea or water or anything. I make my way to the door and pay and say I don't know where the boy went and give the manager the tip. Rather than complain at the time, which gets messy and language difficulties can easily make things worse, out in the soi I pop a quick note on Line saying that the experience was bad, the boy did nothing but sleep for 40 minutes, and no happy ending. Read, but no reply. For me that's the real problem. Everyone is entitled to bad day, and maybe a bad masseur (although this guy has been working there for a long time) - they're quick to respond to booking requests but can't be bothered to reply to complaints even with a simple "sorry you had a bad time, next time better" means a management problem as well as a masseur problem. Truth is had they responded to my note I probably would not have written this, but I would have stopped mentioning them as a place to go. So the good news is I get a pretty good story out of it, even if I do feel a but taken advantage of. The better news is that there are already so many other massage shops in town that I really like that I can cross King Spa off the list without worry, and direct my energy and budget to more satisfying places.
  23. This is a report of my second visit to Thailand: 3 days in Bangkok and 3 days in Pattaya. Day 1 : Sunday I arrive around noon at Suvarnabhumi airport. Bought a SIM-card at the airport (299 baht for 7 days) and took an Uber (400 baht) to the hotel. Last time, I stayed at the Tarnatawan, but on recommendation of forum members, I now have chosen the Raya Surawong. As I arrived before 2PM, the room was not ready. This was not an issue for me, as I was hungry went to have dinner nearby. The suite on the 8th floor was really nice and big. I will certainly rebook Raya for next visits. In the late afternoon, I decided to walk to Babylon Sauna, a 20-30 minute walk. I already visited the sauna last year and I really liked it. Sauna was crowded, but not much action. Until I went to the towel free zone downstairs : a lot of fun going on there ! Did not feel like walking back to the Raya. I’m not a fan of motorbike taxis, so I waited a few minutes for an Uber to pick me up. This costed me 50 baht, which is even cheaper than a motorbike. For the first evening, I wanted to see several shows in Soi Twilight and find a boy to off. I went to Hot Male, Classic Boys and Fresh Boys. In Classic Boys,, I noticed Rak (nr. 9), a very cute bottom twink which I already offed last year. Didn’t off him immediately, but waited until the end of the evening and took him to my hotel.
  24. Spa Sathorn is an M4M massage spa a short walk from Chong Nonsi BTS station. It doesn't seem to get reports on this forum. I got there about 6:30 on a weekday evening and there seemed to be about 8-12 or so guys milling about. I was ushered into the front room and the manager was very nice and promptly showed me a tablet with photos to select from. I think overall the guys are typical for the larger locally-focused shops - better looking than average, but not all necessarily model looks. Mostly more manly types. There was no price list or menu - which may simply be that there wasn't one in English or that they just don't have one, or that they just didn't show it to me. I knew what I wanted so I didn't really care. One hour oil massage 700 baht. No mention of minimum tip. The facilities are a tad bit run-down/basic, but the towels were clean and large and nice quality, water in the shower hot. Massage table in room with shower. Shower alone before and after. The masseur entered wearing a towel, he dropped before starting the massage. During the massage he was naked throughout and used all the appropriate opportunities to let his junk rest/brush against me when he was giving the massage, which I like and wish more guys did. Massage started with legs, as usual. Paid more attention to butt/glutes than most. Very nice. Flip over and move to "special services" were excellent. There's a review on travelgayasia.com that says the masseur was more interested in his own happy ending than the customer's - in may case I would say it was more like 50-50 equality on that front, which was nice. (At some of the more high-volume shops I think the masseur will often try not to come so he can quickly go back into the pool.) There was no mention of a minimum tip so I gave I think 1,200 (1,000 for a basic 1 hour massage plus extra because I liked the extra effort he put in.) Overall I liked the place. It's not fancy at all. But, like Arena, is just a simple no nonsense place for manly men having man sex. I would recommend being extra clear up front what you are looking for at the time of selection (top/bottom/both). Location: I've submitted the correction to Google Maps, but note that travel gay asia and other maps seem to have the location wrong. It is on the first cross alley running parallel to the main drag, not alley 10.
