I want to get two "top" (kings I think I read is the term) guys for a night at my hotel - guys like the ones at Moonlight. Wondering if you gents can help me out with a few questions: 1) Do hotels give you a problem bringing back locals? I'll be at the Shangri-La 2) Is it best to ask the host for assistance in recruiting two guys? I don't speak thai. 3) How can I get a cab back to my hotel? It deserves a read as it will answer many of your questions. I'm not sure about Shangri-La as to bringing back locals. The upscale hotels usually are ok as long as one is discreet (e.g. no public displays of affection in the lobby). If you want to take two guys read Vinapu's suggestions and comments - both guys need to agree, the mamsan can be helpful s to who tops but confirm with the guy. ,My experience, is to choose one guy discuss the details, use the mamasan and google translate as/ifneeded, and then work with the guy you picked first to choose someone you both can work with. Uber isn't inThailand, local equivalent is Grab and there is an app. But if you are going to be in the area around Moonlight, there are lots of taxi's. You can just say top. In my experience the bigger hotels, which would include Shangri-la, don't care about short-term visitors. The places are just too big to police that. But they respect a certain discretion. As far as the "guys like the ones at Moonlight." Just remember that there are two classes of guys at Moonlight. The ones featured in the videos/advertising, who are available at a premium price, and the other normal non-show guys, who are all fine and dandy but not quite built like the "models," and more like other bars. I don't know if the "models" would be up for a threesome. God bless you and your bank account if they are. Beyond Moonlight a lot of the bars will have better looking built tops. Lots of cabs/tuk tuks in the area, but they will not want to use the meter. You may find them only taking you if agree to pay something outrageous like 300 baht when you know it should be 60 on the meter. How you deal with that is up to you, but I recommend trying to keep the perspective that in the scheme of things it's not a ton of money so don't let it become a negative. What I do is take the normal meter/reasonable number to get to where I'm going, double or triple it and just say I'll pay that. I'll be at the Shangri-La I assume you are already there, so this answer may be irrelevant now. I was just at the Shangri La a month ago and they are totally fine with joiners. Nor do they mind if you bring them to eat in the restaurant, bar etc. A quick tip if you plan to visit the new IconSiam. The free public boat from Sathorn pier can be a nightmare with a long wait time. Ask to take the Shangri La hotel boat to Peninsula and walk 5 minutes. BUT ANYWAY, these are photo's that he has posted on his Facebook page (and "public") so presumably they are 100% ok to post here. Since my friend is a very regular-regular at Moonlight, I do have some photos that while totally innocent (boys group selfie in hotel room party, Babe drunk on floor of restaurant, boys enjoying post Christmas-show dinner, gym photos, Fake Club) were not posted anywhere and only sent out through Line. A group of four twinks were doing a song together on the second night, one with some chest hair (notable as few others did) and the cutest of them (in my opinion) was 24 who wears a shirt during the parades.
