I presume one of the boats stops close to there already.

Anyhow walking up the river bank from the nearest BTS station & stopping off at Iconsiam for a mid morning coffee looks like a nice option..

One hopes there is a good view from somewhere on the premises. Then wander further up the river.

I just don't see it being a regular destination for any of us based in Silom.

Recently visited this place. Not easy to get there . Took a taxi who made a wrong turning before he eventually found it.

Breathtaking to learn the building/complex etc cost 50 billion baht.

High ceiling floors with Hi-so designs, each level resembling show rooms.

Grossly overpriced almost throughout.

Most of the people seemed to be there to enjoy the free air con et al. They need to go early and find the free public area seating  and spend all day on the phone or tablet.

I have seen more interesting day and night markets with far better prices.

The only place that seemed a bit busy was the mandatory MK outlet.

The ground floor has a few colorful Thai style displays but all in all... 50 million baht?!

Ludicrous!

I was there three days ago, access by free shuttle boat. The new subway line will have a stop nearby. Top three floors are not open. Meeting rooms for groups, entertainment venues, and top floor “River Museum”.

Agree with Zombie that stores are Siam Paragon upmarket. H&M was the low end of shops in building. Lots of toilet areas, all with attendants. I was there on a weekday morning, more sales staff than customers

Lowest level is a two story high food court with Thai shops scattered around (including 7-11). Food areas are designed to resemble street food markets along a river with seating up some steps overlooking the activity. This level was very busy

Took a taxi on departing.

I went to Iconsiam today, had a lunch at Vietnamese restaurant, watched movie “Aquaman” bought a few Thai sweets.

I really liked it.

Shuttle boat from Sathorn Pier is frequent only waited about 5 min. FBCD39A7-28ED-4B34-958D-60D1062951E4.thumb.jpeg.0fa5d6040772568aba7c201802bd72a2.jpeg

Terrace restaurant has a great view, ideal place to impress your favourite boy if the current air pollution improves.

I tried to go during the Christmas/New Year period. The queue for the shuttle boat at Saphan Thaksin stretched back well over 100 yards. I gave up! After New Year friends and I decided to go for dinner by taking a taxi across the bridge. No wrong turns but desperate traffic jams. I guess that is due to the subway construction but when a traffic light takes about 3 minutes to change and immediately thereafter 4 lanes merge into one, it really is a hard slog getting there.

As someone else remarked earlier, the boat that runs from that runs from Saphan Taksin is very large.  It runs every 10 minutes.  I think it's larger than the boat to Asiatique.  As far as waiting on line it's no worse than waiting for the commuter boats.  Even a very long queue will move quickly.

Taking a taxi across the bridge at anything remotely approaching dinner time seems like a strategic error to me.  That's a fairly notorious area for traffic problems.  People can take the BTS across and then there is a free shuttle bus from the BTS station every 15 minutes.

The website lists the hotels that run cross-river ferries (free) so that might be a good choice from some.  I have taken those hotel boats across in the other situations and they're a breeze.

People can also go by the regular commuter boat (not free).   [Edit OOOPS - NOT THE COMMUTER BOAT, THE TOURIST BOAT (SUPPOSEDLY)]

When i was in bkk during christmas time, the line for anything really is bad. Regular chaophraya tourist boat didnt or no longer stop at icon siam, there is sign saying people need to take icon siam shuttle boat instead and two different location, only remember one of them is saphan thaksin. It might be temporary during end of year. I also gave up going due to the queue, but after reading here, i shouldve just go lol. owh well, another reason for next visit huh?

Holidays I'm sure are bad.  3 or 4 years ago my then-current guy wanted to go to Asiatique with another couple for Valentine's Day, and so did everyone else in BKK.  The line went all the way up to the BTS station.  Reasonable to expect the same thing for Icon Siam this year....

However nice Icon Siam may be, it's still just a mall.  If waiting 20-30 minutes to get on the boat isn't worth it, then it's not worth it.... Give up and go get a nice cheap Thai massage at the very gay/trans friendly nearby shop "Le Lek."  (Just off Charoen Krung, behind State Tower.)

I think I 100% misspoke when I said the commuter boat stops there.  I just checked and they do not.

The tourist boat website does say that they stop at Icon Siam.  And that's what Icon Siam is saying now too.  (The tourist boats do not run a late in the evening as the mall's boat.). If I remember I'll try to check this next time I'm down there.

Tourist Boat.  Commuter Boat

as everywhere else, go early to avoid crowds. One can have breakfast there after all I guess. If stores are still closed , even better, money saving exercise, window shopping available.

Can't resist to give advice about much more  mobbed place - Grand Palace. Opens at 8.30 and be there to beat the crowds. Last time I did it I had Emerald Buddha temple to myself for few minutes, when first bus appeared about 15 minutes later feast was over

I went to Iconsiam again on Sunday 2pm, people were just boarding the shuttle boat when I got to the Pier and I could comfortably sit down.

There was a short wait 2-3 min. on returning to Sathon Pier, again there was enough seat.

I noticed there were 2 boats dedicated from Sathon Pier constantly carrying people over to Iconsiam.

Unlike commuter boats , their shuttle boats are equipped with life jackets.

My fantasy show would actually be all the muscles boys i like on stage playing with each others in a bubble party settings. All soapy, slippery, bouncy and glistening. No need for choreographed moved, just steamy sexy orgy type like in the porn. Doesnt have to be all naked, since getting wet in thin clothing and underwear is still sexy as hell. And as i write this, i realized it got nothing to do with the topic lol

Pretty sure songkran or some sauna have this kind of show. I recalled reading R3 have bubble orgie party, but i prefer something more in a bar setting kind of show, and of course with options to off the performers too. Many of the songkran party show are just show, most likely the models arent for hire.
