June and October in Rio/Porto Alegre

Recommended Posts

I was in Brazil last June and then again last month, 4 days in Rio and 4 days in Porto Alegre and a Monday night at Lagoa in Sao Paulo. Both trips were very similiar so I am combing them in this report. I stayed at the same hotel in Porto Alegre both times, The Quality Hotel in the Moinjos de Vento area, and In Rio I stayed in the same Apartment both times , I have been renting for the past 3 years in Ipanema. I had a great time as always.

If I had never been to Rio/Brazil before I would have been overjoyed at saunas. Seeing all these naked guys that you can take to a room. But if I compare this years trip to previous years, it is definitely declined.(I am speaking specifically about Rio here) I realized that 75% of the guys i spent time with in Rio this last trip were guys I have known and no longer work in the saunas, but meet me at the apartment. as opposed to meeting mostly new guys each trip, in previous years there were more saunas and most nights were busy. Now it seems Meo Mundo is busy on Mondays and to a lesser extent on Fridays and 117 is busy on Tuesdays and Thurs. The rest of the days is really hit or miss, mostly miss. Weekends my last couple of trips were slow at both, and Meo Mundo is closed on Sundays and 117 on Mondays. I don't include pointe202 in this discussion as IMHO it is almost dead. I did stop in there on Sunday night and there were 4 customers and 5 escorts! Iphguy mentioned the new sauna that opened in Centro, from what I have heard from both customers and boys, I don't think it is going to make it, and I am told that one of the investors/co-owners is Junior the owner of Pointe202 and he has proven he can't manage that one well so don't know how they think they can make a go of the new one. Pointe being the only sauna in Copacabana should be booming, but with Junior not sure if he wants to operate it as a dance club, a sauna, clothing store it's not sucessful at any!

Porto Alegre was great! I arrived on a Thursday and while not really busy at Mezziniu on Thursday night there were still at least 12 -15 guys there including a cute short twink who was a dynamo in the bedroom! about 10:00 I headed over to Bar Mixx and when I got there, maybe 3 people, by 11:00 there were about 20 the next night on Friday same thing at 10:00 and by 11:00 35 - 40 guys there. I love Bar Mixx, it's a flashback to the hustler bars of the 80's, with a mix of street boys, sauna boys and guys who only go in occassionlly when they need to make money.

On thursday when I got back to the hotel from Bar Mixx around 12:30 a.m. the law student who I had talked about on previous trips was in the shower when I walked in the room. I leave his name at the desk and tell them to give him a key when he shows up. Friday and Saturday nights were fun at Mezziniu. the weather this trip was terrible, rain constantly for 4 days and nights on and off! In the past I have always had greawt weather. A guy that I met on the last trip in May works 6:00 p.m to 6:00 a.m. as a security guard at a factory so he would get up around noon come over to have lunch with me and then we would take a afternoon "nap" and he would leave at 5:00 for work and I would leave for Mezziniu, so it worked out great! he was there Fri/Sat/Sun afternoons.

Sunday night at both the sauna and bar mixx was slow, it was raining hard...but a cute 18 yr old came up to me at Bar Mixx and introduced himself. I didn't believe he was 18, so he proudly took out his I.D. to show me that his 18th birthday was just two weeks before! we actually sat and talked for quite awhile but then 3 guys I knew also sat down with us and we were having a good time and I ended up disappearing with the waiter!!
Monday I had a flight back to Sao Paulo at 2:00. My phone went off at 7:15 and it was the law student, sending me a seflfie from his car showing him dressed in his suit heading to work, but told me he would be there in 15 mins to say goodbye. He got to the room and we kissed and I started saying how I was going to miss him and our talks(he loves to talk politics)but as he is talking he takes off his tie and then his shoes and I am thinking...Hmmm, this is not going to be just a kiss goodbye! we climbed in bed and after an hour he got up to leave. He told me he had to go over to a office across the city to pick up some legal documents and he was going to tell them the traffic was bad! My 2:00 flight would put me at Lagoa sauna by 4:00 and my flight back to the U.S. was not until 11:00 so I could spend 4 hours of fun there.
I met a guy that i thought was pretty hot at Lagoa which had a fair number of working guys there by 6:30.
The best surprise was getting to the new international terminal at GRU, they opened a couple months ago and the have moved from a 60's type terminal with complete lack of Amenities to a New modern one with a choice of restaurants and areas never available in the old one. and the other good news is the newer remodeled Boeing 777's first class seats recline flat and more comfortable then previous models, and I am 6'5" and I can stretch completely out! it makes the 10-1/2 hr flight from Sao Paulo to Dallas much more pleasant!

Tom,

Your descriptions are great as ever.

Any new picture from law student ?

Trzinko, that is a pic of the law student. Here's a photo of him in front of the hotel as he was waiting for his car to go to work and I was heading to the airport.

BUT if you ever do need a favorite tie dry-cleaned, DON'T send it to your local acetone dunk shop, who will give you back what looks like a snake with a bowel blockage.

Rather to the great Movieland Tie Service in LA...

http://books.google.com/books?id=0ej2aaabZW4C&pg=PT116&lpg=PT116&dq=movieland+tie+service&source=bl&ots=_7FxSKK3Jl&sig=NRXXPaBEtiw6MjwceMxh5NnkpL0&hl=en&sa=X&ei=_8VuVPvpEYadNobOgrgB&ved=0CCsQ6AEwBA

...where they will untack the tie, remove the interfacing, hand-clean the silk, then carefully reassemble and press it. All for $25 a tie! A godsend back when people used to wear ties for business and my second favorite expenditure after paying for cock & ass was spensive neckwear.

(Alas can't tell from the Internets whether they are still in business.)

He's simply gorgeous! Do you know that Brasil has lots and lots of lawyers and many, many, many cases yet to be heard/tried!

Supposedly, they get paid well, too! Heard this bit of info. on NPR about three weeks ago!

I met him two years ago thru a friend of his who was a bar manger at the sauna. He spent 6 months a year ago as a exchange student in China, and speaks Mandarin and English.. the combination of good looks, intelligence and really nice personality makes him for me a ideal companion. His only fault that I have found so far and it's one that seems to be found in virtually all Brazilerios is he is constantly late! but I know this, and have adjusted! :-) I arrived the last two trips on Thursday and was supposed to meet him at 8:00 pm at the hotel and go to dinner, but I went to Mezziniu at 5:00 and was still there at 8:00 when I get a text from him saying "I am just heading to the gym for a workout, will see you at the hotel at 10:00, at 10:00 I went to Bar Mixx, at 11:15 I get a text saying "I am on my way" lol I got back to the hotel at midnight and he was in the shower when I got to the room! So instead of going to a restaurant we ordered room service! He would be great BF material for someone!!

I'm elated that you have rebounded health-wise and are able to return to your most favorite country and some of its cities! I applaud you and hope that this will continue for you, for I know you cherish traveling to "The Marvelous City," SAMPA, and to PA!! ^_^

I have mentioned previously that Porto Alegre is definitely a long weekend place, not a week long destination. So if you are there and looking for some "Non-Ho" time, one place to visit is the city of Gramado, about 70 miles north of Porto Alegre. You will think you arrived in Switzerland! it sits at almost 3,000 ft elevation so is considerably cooler in summer then Porto Alegre and has days close to freezing in the winter.

From Wikipedia: Most of the population of Gramado is of German or Italian descent and its architecture and gastronomy reflects that. Gramado is also known for its natural landscapes and the beautiful hydrangeas blossoming in late spring.

It is also known for it's chocolates and has a number of stores selling them.

Another thing to do if you are there in the fall is go to a Rodeo. Porto Alegre is close to Argentina and is Gaucho Country! One Saturday we went to the Rodeo and the gauchos all camp out in tents(like a Winnebago convention with tents and campfires) The two guys in the 4th and 5th pics are two that I have met there. :-)

Actually AX, according to latest stats available, Brazil has over 600,000 lawyers and a population of a little over Two Hundred Million vs. the U.S. with 1.225 million lawyers and a population just over 300 million. We have a twice as many attorneys with 1/3 greater population so they have a ways to go to catch up with us!

In fact, Brazil have 913.910 lawyers registered on the OAB (order of the brazilian lawyers) today. Anyone who gets a law bachelor's degree needs to pass the OAB exam to register and work as a lawyer in Brazil.

But Brazil has more law schools then all countries together (aprox 1240 BR schools vs 1100 in rest of world) and more then 3 million people with law bachelor's degrees who did not pass the order exam.

I personaly think we have too much lawyers and think all male to be lawyer should get Tomcal seal of approval before registering. ;)

And 913909 of them are banditos. Never saw such a litigious nation in all my born days. My partner currently has two cases on the go, cable company and GOL airline. His mother had a lawsuit going for 11 years.

Some news from Porto Alegre in November, even though it does not correspond exactly to the title of the thread.

It is always amazing to go to sauna Mezzaninu, to see these cute boys wank in the open in the middle of the room, then going to shower. Some of them clean the glass between the shower are and the main room with soap, then throw water to make sure that everyone can see them clearly ! Non stop show.

Thursday was slow as can be expected. maybe 10 to 12 GP (garotos de programa) and 15 customers, most of them drinking.

Friday was more packed, with lot of action. I was happy to meet always-smiling ready-to-do-everything David who spent the evening with me. Among the three strippers, one was particularly attractive, well built muscular ass, nice face. In the room, there was also a lovely GP who was with his chinese-origined SD, so not possible to get him, but I was horny just looking at him. At some point they went to the patio and GP removed his tee shirt. Lovely hairless torso. A treat. A long shot though (and I am not talking of what I have not seen yet).

Badoo and Disponivel are source of lots of contacts also. Most of them useless. But I am still in touch with my date of last year whom I should meet this week. We kept on chatting on Skype and he is really horny. He wants to marry me ...Why not ? I was also in touch yesterday with a student in psychology who is interested in a daddy/son Relationship. Could happen tomorrow in a motel downtown. Cute lad 25 years old, green eyes, lovely ass. Horny. With the out of the scene lads I plan to date so far, plus the boys in the saunas and the ones in Mixxxx, much more than I can do nowadays !
