I unexpectedly have a week free in early April and was thinking of making a trip to Medellin but gather from the State Department’s website that I will be required to quarantine when I arrive.  Is this true?  Has anybody been to Medellin recently?  I very much want to try Club Tobie.

I only have one week free and live in eastern United States.  If Medellin isn’t an option due to quarantine restrictions, does anybody have a suggestion as to where I should go?

Did you end up making travel arrangements?

Seeing this post now. Currently you do not have to quarantine in Colombia as long as you have a negative PCR Covid test taken within 96 hours of the arrival. You will need to load the CoronApp to your phone for tracking. Once you are past customs you are free to go about your business -- just find out what the curfew hours (toque de queda) are for the city. Currently Medellin has a curfew from 5pm - 5am during Holy Week to reduce social gatherings. There is also a Dry Mandate (ley seca) prohibiting alcohol sales in place until next week.

Oh, and Club de Tobi is no more, another victim of COVID. However the Sillon Rojo club in Laureles is hopping 6 days a week. They usually bring in 2-3 escorts to keep the sex going :).

Let me know if you go. I am heading to Medellin on the 16th of April and will be there for a whole month, and also visiting the other cities too. Good to go in numbers if your a first timer. I've been to Club Tobi in 2019, and the whole Bogota gay scene too, I posted about in in the past in the Colombia Hotspots post.

Right now just started the rainy season in South America, so expect to not have perfect days. Even if Medellin is closed you can book a dirt cheap $30-50 flight to other cities like Cartagena and Cali.

Thank you for the heads up on Club Tobi and the Sillion Rojo Club. Do you know of any other venues that open for "fun" right now, even in neighboring cities?

Sillon Rojo   Av. 33 ##65b-22, Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia (Ring bell, they will buzz you in - watching on camera) - 40K COP Entry

- best to follow on WhatsApp +57 305 3062772 where they change status daily to state hours and events (including photos of the paid talent for the night)

- have been bringing in escorts (2-3) to have sex on premises with the guest in the orgy room (nudity mandatory)

- current closed due to the quarantine in place in Medellin; should open up again late next week

- hosting a private estate event just outside Medellin on May 1-2 weekend. Contact the club for details. Limited places.

https://m.facebook.com/events/288761709296076#

Ferchos Masajes (Hotel Bliss Suites) Cra. 45 #55-41, Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia  140K COP Entry (includes room)

- open daily until 5pm (current curfew)

- enter the hotel up the stairs, let them know you are looking for Ferchos, you will be taken to a room to meet with the available boys (you can even have a beer while chatting them up) then off to your room for a workout

- follow on WhatsApp for updates +57 312 2717925; they update with new talent and photos of the boys available

- you can also arrange home delivery ("domicilio") to get around the curfew, that includes paying round trip transportation to your location (under 25K COP generally)

- also hosting a private estate (finca) weekend on May 1-2; contact club for details (may be joint event with Sillon Rojo -- I don't know)

Sauna Cruising  Cra. 45d ##57-44, Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia

- I was told that they are opening during the weekend (Th-Sun) 2-10pm

- newest sauna so it attracts the best looking guys; no massage services onsite

Glass VIP  Cra. 52 #32-79 Bello, Antioquia, Colombia

- located in Bello (barrio Obrero) in the north of Medellin (Madera Metro Station)

- good selection of locals, very new and clean

I think that you will find very little outside of these spots for open gathering spots. As mentioned, Club de Tobi is closed (building for sale), the Cabanas Tabu Video club is gone, Club 55 is open sporadically, and even the street of sin (Calle de Pecados Cl57A) is almost entirely closed up and cleaned up.  Medellin has changed because of Covid, but there is no shortage of horny Medellin boys looking for action -- paid or otherwise.  You can also check new listings/events at:

http://www.guiagaycolombia.com/medellin/

If you want to explore, you will find that the smaller cities nearby like Pereira, Manizales, Armenia all have options but being further away from the major city, you will find fewer people that speak English.  Pereira is an exception because it is a university town and all masters student must take advanced English as part of their studies. Always plenty of students looking to practice their English :)

Good luck!

Thank you so much!! This info is a huge help.

I went to Fercho's last time I was in Medellin. I'm wondering if the guy still only sends messages in voice in Spanish. I hope this new location is nicer than the last one I went to.

The voice message is standard and tells you the address of the hotel and hours of operation.  Right now Medellin is in strict curfew from 5pm - 5am so they are open early in the morning or for "home delivery". The rest is self explanatory. Many of the boys speak passable English or can converse through Google translate if necessary.

Not sure which location you were at as it has moved several time. This is a standard hotel set up in Colombia. Bed, TV, A/C/ bathroom (shower) and a couple of lamps. Clean and effecient. The one thing I will remind you is that it is customary to exit the room together. You will not be allowed to exit the hotel until they confirm with the boy that everything is okay. Standard operating procedure. Have fun!

They have a Facebook page showing the rooms. Classic sex motels style, some with jacuzzis.

I am researching airbnbs in Medellin. Some of them, in the house rules, explicit forbid visitors in order to avoid sex tourism and procuring. Is this a formal legal wonder that no one cares about? Should I avoid these places?

Thank you to the Medellin connoisseurs!

Avoid those places if you want to regularly have guests.  If you stay right in Parque Lleras o Parque Poblano you’re going to have issue with doormen cracking down on sex tourism.  If you stay a bit outside it gets a bit better. But I’d recommend asking up front if you can have friends over and what are the rules. Even outside of Lleras area, You’ll def have to have guests show ids at nearly all places but this isn’t really an issue with guys in Medellin — everyone is used to it.

DM me and I can help a bit. Also Macdaddi knows a lot about Medellin.

Thank you! I am still just exploring the idea. As soon as Medellín becomes a serious plan, I will PM you.

I used those WhatsApp numbers in this thread. One of them sent me 2 voice messages and around 120 pictures of different boys priced at 150.000 pesos. And they had a lottery where you could win a boy every Friday. That's as far as my Spanish went.

KMN!

Those of you who like these kind of guys ( age 24 - 30, very masculine, muscled etc,) must feel in heaven when you are there. 🙂

Do you already have a date for your next trip...where ever you might go?

Ethanmiami is correct.  You will find that there is a strict adherence to the "No guests" rule in many buildings (including AirBnB). There is a local campaign to curb the growth of sex tourism in Medellin. Many places will require you to sign an agreement (with penalties) to not engage in prostitution or drug use while on the premises. This is 100% normal in the city.  The attached is a sticker you will see in many hotels and condo buildings to announce that they support the campaign.

The further you get from the tourist areas (El Poblado, Parque Lleras, Las Lomas y Laureles) the less stringent the rule will be.  You also have the advantage of speaking with the locals in their native language. Many of my visitors are just "old friends dropping by for a drink..." seems to satisfy many who are happy to look the other way.  As always, being discrete and showing a little respect to the culture and locals goes a long way.

Is anyone planning an expedition to Medellin for November 20-27? If you are, and we have a well established relationship, hit me through PM and we may be able to make plans together.

I will be there 3 weeks later and I would love to hear what's going on there.

Enjoy your trip!

I do not think it is going to happen. I am back and forth with myself, and I have already changed my mind several times, so this may change again. Right now, I feel like I should not go to a new place during the pandemic. I would not get the authentic experience and my attitude towards that place would probably remain tainted forever by that first impression.

If I travel, right now the most chances are for Rio.

I’ve been back and forth to medellin a few times recently. It’s not any less fun due to pandemic. And probably safer than Rio — as vaccination rates are fairly high (comparatively) about 50% of country has one dose.

I can't say that I blame you altough I agree with @Ethanmiami, COVID numbers seem to be the best in the region.

I'm not the best in making trip reports but i'll do my best to give you an impression when I am there. If you want me to check something out for you, just let me know here or in privat.

Thank you! I am very interested in checking Fercho. Specially their weekend adventure. They take groups to what seems to be a suburban/rural location hosted by hotties, to stay overnight. I like to sleep alone, but I am curious about living for a weekend in a whores' estancia.
