......I'm also delighted to hear that there are still so many opportunities for fun in LoS...... Gives me hope.

rightly so, you right about opportunities , I was nicely surprised myself how easy it was to be entertained by qualified staff.

All we need is open gates

I am glad to hear that X earned the Title. Conversely, T - the one whom you introduced to me won my crown of the trip. And it was with T that i had my last meal in BKK before my return trip.

so it looks the we recommended to each other our  Prince Charming and it worked. Another benefit  of being forum friends, right?

OK, vinapu's reign as forum scribe is over for now and he will be missed; the question is, who's next? any takers?

Today, I went to Thailand for about 30 minutes ... at the World Expo in Dubai. Maybe I am not unbiased, but they have one of the best pavilions.

I suppose this doesn't count???

Anyway, thank you very much vinapu for your reports.

On another hand if somebody can take some ideas  how to spend  good holidays from my stories I’d be very happy.

I, for one, have definitely taken ideas from your many past reports.  I'm still eager to visit Moonlight some day when it reopens which I only discovered from your reports.

I now have a couple of other ideas to add to the list for the next trip. A visit to Sabaidee and trip up the MahaNakhon.

Thank you.

for now some Moonlight models can be seen daily at HotMale, usually 3-5 a night.

For MahaNakhon try to pick up day with good visibility and go early, they open at 10am. If you not senior remember weekdays are cheaper then weekends ( 530 as opposite to 880 ). Take your boy with you but only if he expresses desire to go there, otherwise they may  be scared / bored / disgusted at you spending that much money on the ticket.

One of the Members used the term "vicarious"...

I think we all had that experience with your great reports.

since English is not my first language   it was new word for me and I rushed to my Webster to check if I should be offended right away or only after following Monday but no, now I understand.

I'm glad that some hearts beat faster reading my 'prose" as I was the same for almost 2 years, waiting for  first hand reports about boys, bars and massages not  closures , covids, quarantines and tests i.e subjects we don't like to hear about  but can't escape them either in those times.

And another thank you from JUpiter (street), in the planets suburb here. Thats just coincidence. Just caught up with the 2nd part and its again indeed a very good read.

And another minor side note: In peak hrs the Chao Praya boat also has regular runs south along ChPraya-as far as that hi-rise Thai FarmersBank (Kasikorn now) main office.

Now dubbing and thinking about the announced new Pass-newPass+Go (only if one was not sitting beside a person found to be infective in the plane-I´ve read too many such scary stories now in other Thai forums) system. As for now just a short trip to Espana_Barcelona and maybe a little on.

as I said in another thread , everybody needs to act based on his own assessment of situation and risk tolerance

I agree that we all need to consider our own risk.

On average residual life expectancy, I would have just under 30 years left.  I guess COVID will be around the whole time and I expect to catch it several times.   Before vaccines, I think my probability of dying from a COVID infection would have been about 1.5%. With 2 AZ and a Pfizer, I'd imagine that's now below 0.15%.   There's no way I will spend the next 30 years hiding.

The percentages might be different for people who are older, but the decision is still do you intend to hide at home for the rest of your life ?  COVID is not going away.

As for the risk of falling a test on arrival, that risk should fall, as the Omicron wave rapidly subsides in the countries that had few restrictions.  We can further improve our odds by wearing an FFP3 mask for the trip and sitting by the window on the plane.

@vinapu

For the past month, as I've sat down for my short lunch overlooking the city, I've anxiously read about just one day of your  adventures in Thailand, graciously and amusingly written.  As I finished your 'final thoughts' today, I'm saddened it's come to an end, yet thankful for 25 days of your journeys, your insight, your boys, and your generosity.

Thanks @vinapu for you rich and through report! A really great and useful read. I am heading to BKK and then Chiang Mai at the end of March for a couple of weeks.

any issues with joiners at Phor Liang Meun Teracotta Arts in Chiang Mai? I AirBnb last time i was in Chiang Mai but the hotels all have really good rates so might do that this time.

no issues at all, fact that I checked-in one of my boys perhaps helped and one which came mid-day was escorted by me from outside but no, nobody blinked an eye.

Bald guy on reception seems to be gay to those tired eyes, that helps too

I've made lots of short stays in hotels around Thailand.  For those, all I do is check the terms and conditions in the booking apps.

If I have booked a room for 2, if they have any restrictions on who the second person is, or when they join, these ought to be declared in the hotel policies.  I've never had a problem.  If there was an attempt by a hotel to impose a joiner policy that's not declared on the booking site, I would challenge that.

If I make a longer booking in a location, I am more careful to check policies. Particularly in other countries.  In some cases, I e-mail the hotel to ask.
