So American to think the their approved FDA drugs are superior quality than those produced in other countries.

I watched a documentary on Pharmaceutical drugs....I live in Mexico, for example. There are Farmacias here that sell their own branded drugs....and the rules in Mexico allow for a less potent standard...so 1 pill might be correct while the other tablets in the box might be weaker or stronger....the rules aren't as strict as in the USA.

Check Argentina, or Chile, or Uruguay.

Who produced the documentary?

You going to be one of those "source?"

It was on PBS some years ago....if you're looking for a biased, it wasn't there.

Read what's required of a Generic drug to be approved for the FDA.....these laws don't exist or aren't as strict in most other countries.

You can get a month’s worth of FDA gold-stamped generic Viagra in the US for ~$8 with a coupon from GoodRx. I have also bought at Brazilian pharmacies for a similar or maybe even higher price just for convenience factor. Even if their dosing is off by ~20%, what’s the big deal? It’s not like we’re talking cancer medicines here 😂

Last time (2 years ago), the clerk at the drugstore won't sell me Ambien (sleeping pills) without a prescription.  They could not produce a prescription at the store either.

Then you should have went to another drugstore...

Trust me, there is one in Rio that will sell you everything or anything that you want

As a reference /data point I bought generic Sildenafil at a pharmacy in SP. Package of 4 50mg pills at 17 BRL/package, so very reasonable. No questions asked at the counter (except that I was asked for my CPF, which I don't have but nevertheless I received a discount of around 30% - I thought it would require a CPF to get such discount).
