Rio+Sao Paulo 20225

Arrived last Wed, 202 was very busy, but I can hardly remember the boy I went with now a week later. Right, a slim black boy with large hair and sunny smile. But he was so tight and couldn't bottom well. I was not surprised by this when boys who first say they are tops, then offer to bottom because they really need the money. It usually doesn't end too well. But he was fun in other ways. Once is enough though.

Bused to Sao Paulo Thursday. Comfortable ride. Free cupped water on board is a nice touch. Long ride though with a half hour / 45 minutes long break in the middle. I assume the advertised schedule doesn't take into account the break, instead of 6 hours, it takes 7 both to and from. Bus is mostly empty both ways. Sao Paulo Station is much more modern and convenient than Rio's, which still charges 3 reals for using the toilet and only connects to tram, not metro as in Sao Paulo.

The new Lagoa was very happening when I visited Fr, Su and Mo. In Lagoa and 117, sometimes you see college student type white boys. Found one this time in Lagoa. A white Muslim boy who speaks English with a lovely smile! Very much my type. Had a repeat with him.

Went to 555 on Saturday with a local friend who doesn't like Lagoa because it's too expensive. 555 charges lower entry for clients and offer free food and a bingo that night. Love the spotless huge facilities and tasty snacks for only 25 Reals (2 for 1  bring a friend night, 50 for two, then additional in your group only pays 10 each). But not many clients still, and fewer boys🤔

Had to uber to 555, which seems to be in a nice neighbourhood but small streets. Unlike Lagoa which is right off busy ave Consolação with loads of buses, Boys should feel safe heading home on bus late at night. Not sure if the boys feel safe to get home from 555 on buses after work.

Back to Rio on Wed. 202 again was a full house! A couple new slim white twinks very much my type. But both are tops! The 18 yo I like the most is asking 500 for losing his virginity. But he doesn't kiss or rim. His attitude is off putting. His friend is also top only. Pity.

At the end of the night, went with a cheerful slim black boy who is very friendly. Nice time, but again  he can't bottom too good. Once is enough again.

Last September I met a hot white twink, sadly the boys I like don't seem to stay in the business for long😂 He now posts with fancy cars and just got married. My hope that he might still works 202 on occasions is dashed now that he is no show for both full house Wednesdays.

Today Friday, went to 202 again still a little hopeful, but the place is rather empty 😞 Well, it rained a few times during the day and is quite chilly. Plus 202 seems to have a party tomorrow night. Perhaps that's why.

Now the dreadful weekends in Rio arrives. Hopefully weather gets better, not beach weather, but perhaps good for hiking. Rio Saunas usually suck on weekends.

Any Portuguese speaker who can understand the Instagram ads for 202 and 117 cares to predict which place is a better bet tomorrow Saturday?

For the past 10 or so trips to Brazil, every time there was that one boy who triggers a desire in me to see him again, can't say the same this trip so far. The Arab boy in Lagoa was pleasant enough, but two times later, the connection was not there.

Was it the cold snap? When low temperature dips into low teens, they actually issue cold alert here in Brazil. Sao Paulo almost hit a 30 year cold record for the last night I was there, with low dipping to 6c. Lagoa was full house most days though. 202 is hit and miss. Wednesday full house. Quiet this past Friday.

The 202 boy I fancied from last year responded to my message on Instagram unexpectedly. So we set up a date in my hotel at 3:30. The boy didn't show up until 5:20. He did message me at 3:30 letting me know he will be late.

While the boy is as cute as ever, he hasn't had any gay sex since he quit 202 3 months ago. Won't even try deep throat and can no longer take a pounding like a champ he used to be. Language barrier is more obvious this time as I took him out for dinner. He loves sushi, but took liberty ordered a lot and wasted more than 1/3 of the food. I think this is the last time I will see him.

Planning to visit a national park two hours away but didn't find time to book bus ticket last night. Wake up early for that, hotel WiFi is down! And claro signal sucks inside my room. So decided to do that Monday instead. Given that 202 had a party yesterday, not sure Monday there would be any good. Will skip.

Still planning two Sauna visits: 117 Tuesday and 202 Wednesday before heading home. Is this going to be the first trip where I couldn't find a boy that I want to come back for?

There were 1 or 2 from the saunas and 2-3 from the massage houses that make me want to see them again. But over all, this trip felt rather subdued. I must have been there only 2-3 weeks before you, but every night seemed less populated than usual. Even the garotos said so, and they didn't know why. The free cabine nights did not bring on the packed staircases that I remember from days gone by. The weather wasn't that bad. I thought maybe people were recovering from Carnaval, but nope, they were partying in Lapa all night.

The famed 117 Tuesday. Spent about 2 hours there, no hit, but some interesting findings and thoughts.

1st, full house and very happening. Yet, since music doesn’t reach from the club to the entrance area so it feels a little down when there are not a lot of traffic.

2nd, B, the boy I fancied in 202 last year and just paid dearly to get to my hotel on Saturday is working here. I guess he didn’t tell the whole truth. Seems he has several regulars here. Soon he went up with a dad/son pair.

3rd, a very handsome slim masculine white boy very much my type. Actually I could say the same for a black boy who works both 117 and 202. Sadly both are strict top only.

4th, a slim handsome middle class looking Brazilian boy came in, an old guy tried to feel him up as they walk by each other at the entrance, he moved away. Turned out he is a client. And the white working boy I just drooled over is his regular! They quickly went away together cuddling over drinks.

Checked out without action from 117, I can’t help but think there must be tons of bottom clients at 117. Both B and D I first met at 202 were good bottoms, but once they start working at 117, their bottom skills diminished quickly.

The reason I prefer 202 and fragata is that there I can find slim handsome masculine boys I like who might hate bottoming naturally but learn to somewhat enjoy it for money.

how I wish I learned to be versatile in my younger years! There would have been so much more options 🥹

Never too late gap1972. :p

Great “can do” attitude, Lonnie!

staying in Catete for the last few nights. Uber to GIG at 8am was a quick ride of 20/25 minutes at 40 Reals! No rush hour traffic at all. Didn’t have to get up so early!

while Panama City airport has been back to old normal days with crowds and busy schedule, GIG is still in deep coma recovering from the COVID hit🥲 between 10-21 on a Thursday, there are merely 9 take offs! No wonder the lounges for priority club etc are still shut!

Rio the city has pretty much moved beyond COVID. Comparing to last September, I am happy to see face masks mostly disappearing, along with the plastic glove at breakfast buffet nonsense.

São Paulo still has a mask mandate in public transit. But the vip lounges have reopened at GRU.

Recovering for sure, albeit rather slowly.

Thanks for the running trip report! You and I may be among a very few members here that leave our footprints in Catete.

I have a Panama Tocumen question. May be better answered later this week as I assume you are travelling through there again today  (with Copa?) since you mentioned Panama above.

Apparently, Panama requires COVID booster dose flat out, even for airside transfer, unlike some European countries that have the booster requirement for official entry but only past 270 days of prime vaccination series. If a booster shot short, Panama then requires a negative test as the alternative. I am connecting in Panama on Copa flights but I am not yet eligible for a qualifying booster dose (unless ‘off-label’) due to a rather complicated related vaccine study participant history.

Therefore, assuming you will be airside, please report back the evidence you needed to produce either boarding in North America originally or in Brazil, OR what evidence screening occurs disembarking at Tocumen for your connection.

Not my experience. 2 doses are considered fully vaccinated in both Canada and Brazil. Vaccination record was checked only at origin departing airport. Transit through PTY, no one bothered checking vaccination proof at all. I do always go through check in counter at the origin airport to get paper boarding pass though, even after web-checkin. Paper boarding pass is proof doc check has been done. With or without a stamp.

PTY is so busy and copa often plans connections very tight, not even 1 hour in between sometimes. Not feasible for them to reverify vaccination proof at the gate.

Thanks for the details. The thing is, if your vaccination record showed 3 doses (or Johnson + 1), as would be the case for many, you may have qualified for boarding to Brazil through Panama without necessarily knowing that Panama requires the additional dose as of end of Feb, the first Central Amer nation to do so. The Copa phone agent also reinforced this. I realize that I can look into it further, without the risk of mayhem on my departure date, by walking over to the Panama consulate with my question, or zipping to the airport on an upcoming flight morning and asking right at a check-in desk.

I’m also always using check-in counter at point of origin on international flights - whereas preCovid, I never did that.
I’m always fully aware of documents required, but the Verifly app has issues uploading documents and is glitchy.  Not something I want to deal with at the origin airport or in-transit.  Paper boarding passes preferred these days. And printed Covid test results too if that’s in the mix.  Sometimes it’s unavoidable to use apps if a mobile QR code is required in some places..  Much more complicated to travel now with a jumble of different requirements and interpretations.

Btw - I think the Covid testing required to re-enter US is simply theatre in most places. PCR tests I’ve had for re-entry barely touched my nose.

My travel doc only shows 2 Pfizer shots. Transit only (no exit from boarding area) through PTY on May 10 and 26, no vaccination doc check at gate at all. Origin airport Copa agent at Canada and Brazil never asked for proof of 3rd shot.

Are you sure it’s official Panama policy, idiotic for PTY as a transit hub.

Interesting. Here is exactly what happened a few days ago:

I needed to speak to a Copa rep as there was a glitch in booking the ticket (resolved). At that time the agent informed me, unprompted by me, that Panama required the 3rd dose. When I asked if this applied to official entry only, not airside connection, she did not know.

The destination is Colombia so that aspect will not be an issue. And I am Yellow Fever vaccinated but that is apparently not a requirement for Panama for up to 6 hours airside.

Sure enough, I found a news article indicating that Panama instituted the 3rd (aka booster) dose requirement in February to be considered fully vaccinated; otherwise, negative RT-PCR required. However, I cannot so far corroborate this on any official Panamanian government site or on Copa site information sources.

The fare is business class and I will need to book accommodations, so the implications of blowing it are costly and I will need to obtain a clear answer, but I have plenty of lead time. I don’t want to rely on an official mandate being bypassed based on its limited merits.

What might have occurred is that a domestic vaxx requirement for certain privileges was conflated with nation entry requirements by some news sources as well as the airline. For example, once officially in Panama tourists may need to demonstrate the additional dose. Typical sloppy laziness in accurate information to be expected.

Is there any country that controls vax status of travelers in between international connections?

I don’t think so. The airport international zones seem to be neutral, with only the departure and arrival nations relevant. But say you were transiting through Spain and needed to leave airside due to an unexpected delay and you wanted a hotel room. After 9 months following vaccination prime series you would likely need to have had a booster dose.

Aargh, I called back Copa and a different CSR indicated my 2 doses would be satisfactory. That seems consistent with most of what can be found online, EXCEPT two articles that seemed to support what the original CSR indicated … one implying traveller restrictions, the other domestic restrictions. If leaving the Tocumen international zone, I am not sure but I think it is 2 doses to be considered fully vaccinated and then domestic mandates from there. The confusion arises from messaging to citizens about adequate vaccination versus vaccination mandates; one representing adequacy of protection where boosting is considered universal, the other adequately meeting definitions of fully vaccinated for various activities and privileges. Surely there would have been much uproar and tourism drama over the past few months if gazillions of unboosted transiting passengers had been refused.

I'd love to know too

This may be what a few of you are looking for. Click on the topic attached below and scroll up/down to relevant posts including from davet. I think I added one or more. Parenthetically, I ‘sexcursioned’ to São Paulo for a repeat months later with the same InHouse escort. Additional months later he currently no longer works these spas. He told me that he gets BRL125 of the 250, but only because I inquired. Therefore, what he provided my first time last winter was extremely generous. He offered to meet off-site the follow-up visit but it was just more convenient to release the 125 part that the venue takes rather than arrange the assignation at my one-night accommodations. And it turns out he could get an additional booking there shortly following our appointment though I cannot imagine he had much jizz left.

There are also other posts about these places within other topics if you bother to use the search function.

AFAIK there have not been similar venues discussed here, located in Rio, where full sex is on the table, on or off the table. I have not come across any explicitly advertised in searches either, including scanning followers and followed within the social media of the Sampa establishments. Spa H Rio and Solaryon offer tantrica, both on the main commercial drag in Copacabana. Something beyond happy ending? … not sure. You’d have to drill down more about others such as searching ‘tantrica massagem (pl: massagens) spa masculina Rio de Janeiro’.

My sense is the guys move from agency to agency, with each agency having roughly the same set-up and price range. You get a nice room, unrushed time, and perhaps 24/7 scheduling (no waiting until 4 pm LOL). The guys can do whatever they do during the day, pop over to the house within an hour for an appointment, be done with their appointment in about an hour, go back to gym/girlfriend/go-go gig. The guys would fall in the top quartile of the former Lagoa service providers, and the website pictures are accurate. They are not as "participatory" as the sauna boys watching the competition, but I think extra participation can be negotiated. Yeah, pay more, get more, and still one of life's great little pleasures.
