Sao Paulo/Recife...First Time

Recommended Posts

I always enjoy reading the postings here and thank everyone who shares their experiences. I am leaving tomorrow for a trip to Sao Paulo and Recife.  It will be my first time in these cities outside layovers at Guarulhos Airport. I have traveled to many other cities of Brazil (usually with friends) and have been to both 117 and 202 in Rio.  I will be on my own during this trip and would love to connect with anyone who may also be visiting (April 28-May 1 and May 4-7 in SP; May 2-4 in Recife).  I apologize if any of my questions are repetitive in relationship to ones previously asked. I do read this forum somewhat regularly, but I always appreciate updated info. I also apologize in advance if I break any forum rules with a few names mentioned below.  I think it is OK to mention names and I am honestly not trying to be a troll (the possibility of which seems to set many people off here!).

I believe I have read enough about Lagoa here and just have a couple of specific questions.  I have really liked the info on rates and notes regarding the difficulties of catching an Uber and how to get around that issue. One question I haven’t seen addressed.  Lagoa is just a couple of blocks from Rua Augusta, which I believe has several restaurants and bars/clubs. How safe (I know safety is relative here) is it to walk over to that street in the evening? Any time when veterans would recommend NOT making the walk?  I also can summarize my type in one sentence: “A dominant top with a monster piece who is open to deep kissing?.”  If anyone has a name or two to share fitting that bill (someone they know is regularly working at this time), I would love the recommendations. Tall with rudimentary English skills are plusses; being the most muscular guy in the house is not that important. Send me a private message for that sort of thing if you wish.

I have specific questions about two other options in Sao Paulo that I haven’t seen discussed here much. Top Man Club (which is very near my hotel) and Chili Pepper. Any general descriptions from recent visitors?  I have read elsewhere Top Man MAY have GP’s. Is that true? I don’t think Chili Pepper does but I have read it is an amazing place. True?  Most importantly, would someone in their early 50s feel comfortable at the venues?

Another poster (I am sorry that I forget his name but thanks!) recently posted about meeting porn star Rico (Richard) Marlon who has always been a favorite of mine. I do see Rico listed on RM.com. But that brings up a question I haven’t seem addressed here much. I have certain fantasy porn stars that I have appreciated meeting over the years.  I know that they are usually much more expensive…and usually not worth it (except for you, Sir Peter…worth every bit).  But it is still something I would like to experience in Brazil.  The issue is that I don’t see many “famous” Brazilians listed on websites.  Leo Filippo used to advertise but no longer. People high on my list include Diego Mineiro, Andy Rodrigues, Hugo Exxtreme, Lucao Dotado. I have no idea if these people even meet clients, but I just wondered if anyone had insight or experiences to share.  I have looked at garoto com local and there certainly are a few very handsome men there. I just can’t believe there is no sorting on the site beyond “city.”  Makes a search somewhat difficult with so many listings in SP. Ones that interest me include Eduardo 25cm (KauCobra on OF I think), Fernando 2cm, Rafael Dotado, Cuca Dorado.  Why do so many of the men attracting my attention share the last name of Dotado??  😉 Anyhow, is somewhere like Chili Pepper a good place to meet someone off these sites?  Safer…more or less economical than “love motels”?

With Recife, I would just appreciate any information.  I am there primarily to see the colonial architecture of Olinda but wouldn’t mind a little fun.  I have heard mention of Blue Thermas as one in Boa Viagem with some GP’s?  Anyone confirm?  Others seem further away from where I will be at the beach but someone could convince me to make the trip if it is worth it (for the guys and relatively safe).

Sorry for the long post but I generally like reading longer posts so maybe I am not alone. I can certainly post any info (especially on Recife) if it may interest someone.

Top man and Chilli Pepper are non GP sauna. Never been to Top man but reviews say that it’s usually empty. Chilli Pepper is quite popular and usually has a lot of hot guys. Like any sauna outside of Brazil, most of them will look for the same as them. Are you a hot daddy? Maybe there is 1 or 2 that likes coroa. You can try your luck I supposed.

Dotado - Gifted or big dick

I normally stay airbnb on Rua Augusta and walk to and from Lagao, 5 min walk.  Never had any problems.  Lots of bars and restaurants on Augusta and Shopping Frei Caneca (mall) next street over is very gay.  Checkout Bella Paulista nearby....great food.  Can also recommend Cuca is very sexy indeed ;)

Thanks to both of you for your replies. That is great information on Rua Augusta. I can see me wanting a place to grab a bite to eat after Lagoa and that seemed like a likely option. I have heard the mall is very gay so that warrants a peek also! Buttercawan’s post makes me think I should perhaps check out Chili Pepper.

The Dotado reference was meant as a joke. I guess it failed! 😁

You need to show your ID to enter Chilli Pepper. Not sure they accept other type of IDs other than your passport (not printout) since you are a gringo.

As for Uber, I never had any issues hailing one in front of Lagoa (2 weeks in SP). So I find it strange that more than 1 person from this forum said it’s problematic. Maybe it’s the time? I usually leaves around 9 or 10 something.

Thanks again. The info on a passport being required as an ID at Chili Pepper is helpful. I certainly make a habit of leaving my passport back in a hotel safe and I am likely to continue doing so. Are there any other venues requiring a physical passport as ID?

I hope report what I experience with Uber from Lagoa as you are correct that I have read several comments about it being difficult. I have remembered the hint to head to the nearby Remax market and request a ride.

I normally stay at hotel Heritage rua Fernando de Albuquerque, 5 minutes walk from Lagoa. Very convenient and nice hotel. Never experienced any problem walking bat fter Lagoa. Mestiço restaurant in the same street is quite nice also.

I have the same fetiche. Love to go with pornstars and collect afterwards the front covers on which they are represented ... Did not do that much in Brazil though. 117 Diego Alex were 2 of them (but I never found a cover on which they appeared ...).

I did enjoy going to Olinda and spending a day there. We used a local guide whom we found at the tourist information place in Olinda.

I went to both Blue Thermas and Boa Vista. Both had GPs when I went there (5 years ago I think). Both are located in a house with a garden. Blue Thermas, the closest to Boa Viagem beach, is having a scene in the garden for shows and music. Nice. Do not expect there the same number of boys as in Lagoa or 117 ...

This part should be thumbtacked to the top of this forum, because WAY too many posters here want to believe that (1) this rule does not exist, or (2) they are somehow the exception to that rule.

“Twinning” is, by far, the most common denominator in dating, sexual and romantic attraction is same-sex situations and relationships. This is worldwide. In the limited pay-for-play situations and environments, money / power / influence is the great equalizer — meaning, if you don’t look the part of someone that you’re attracted to would more than likely be paired with, then your money overcomes that major hurdle.

Sorry, but the truth — and mirrors — are often painful.

A fun sobering mental exercise: sit at the corner café in any prominent gay or gay-friendly neighborhood in the world (Farme do Amoedo & Rua Visconde in Ipanema, for example), and watch the many same-sex couples — and even the same-sex friends! — stroll by. Almost ALL of them are “twinning” — same build, physical features, age range, even dress.

.Also, money was not mentioned at all before my programas. It seemed almost I could give based on the experience.

I don't think it is a common practice to start a programma without knowing what the price and the offer is.  Are you intentionally avoiding the money subject when talking to GPs?

No, not at all. I am sure what the reason would for avoiding an inevitable subject. I mentioned that I wanted kissing and gozar and both said OK. I also thought it was strange that money wasn’t discussed beforehand but it all worked out OK. No avoidance meant but it was nice to fondle the meaty cocks in the bar and then be off to the rooms upstairs without any negotiating. I also liked they the GP’s would deeply kiss at the bar. At Thermas in Barcelona, I had found most guys will kiss in the cabines but don’t want to do so in public.

Definitely the first Rule,

Walking in with confident, scanning the hotties and showing the good, these work very well for me "being Top" and not so often in Brasil as those cutties don't want to waste the good and leche.

I’m glad it all worked out for you, but in general, it’s not such a good practice to go into the suites before “negotiating” and agreeing to a rate / per time for the programs, especially if this is your first time dealing with s particular garoto.

Interesting, I was at a friend's place and we saw two young guys walking by. I mentioned one of them was a new police officer in town, ( he was hot) and she replied they must be a couple. I asked why and she said, they look identical... ie haircuts, clothes, builds. I hadn't ever heard that before or since until here.

Chelsea boys in NYC are like that.....they are so into themselves, they look for someone like them......I've always gone for the opposite of me, which most couples I know or associate with do.

This comment misses — or intentionally evades — my original point.

“Opposites attract” (at least in physical, superficial measurements) is not really the norm at all in same-sex relationships worldwide — not just in gay enclaves. The international p4p scene thrives because what these men “go for” is usually not going for them — and spending power changes that, albeit usually temporarily.

This is the part that I was referring to:
