SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA

Does anyone have RECENT OR CURRENT INFORMATION on massage places in Seoul? The guys photos at The Parks Spa are very nice but setting up an appointment seems futile. I texted and called The Parks, but the responder was not very cordial nor helpful at all. Has anyone been to The Parks?

I was in Seoul this January 6-10 and did manage to visit one of several massage places. The one I selected was called The Park. It did not have the highest rating but I chose it anyway. Not having been there before I chatted online with the web site manager, arranged to meet someone at the closest subway stop and was escorted to the place. The place was very good...two beds, private shower, towels. Before the massage the manager called in the 4 lads available inside the massage room. Only 4 I asked? The rest "busy" with customer. My dreams of that gorgeous hunk I'd seen on the website vanquished. I chose the best of the lot. The massage was only adequate ... A 6 maybe. And half way through ...it was clear he wanted to get it all over... The price 100,000 won includes tip I hope because I offered no more. All in all somewhat disappointing.

Earlier this year I was in Seoul for a week, and I do not plan to visit Korea again!  To begin with, the people in Seoul are not very friendly.  At 2 gay bars I was asked to leave because I am not Korean.  I visited three different massage places, including the Parks. The facilities were quite nice; large spacious apartments located in high rise buildings.  At each location I waited in the bedroom, as three or four guys entered the room and I was to choose one guy from the group.  None of the massage places had guys available whose photos appeared on their site! The massages were very disappointing and the sex even worse!!!!  After the third disappointing massage/sexual experience I decided to spend the rest of my time touring the city.  The subway system is quite large and easy to navigate.  Again, been there, done that, and have absolutely NO desire to visit Korea again!

I really dislike "dishonesty" at these massage places.

They put the "creme de la creme" to entice you to walk in, and then drop the bomb.

Mr. X has gone to _______ and won't be back till _______.

If you recall, I am effant terrible...

I walked out of a massage in Ho Chi Minh City last month because it wasn't delivered/executed correctly.

Remember the client is always right.. if you have a lousy/below-par service, don't give a single extra cent.

And publicize the joint so others can avoid it at all cost!

I agree -if the service is well below an acceptable level, walk out.

Thankfully massages delivered in Thailand & SE Asia are generally to a good standard, however I have walked out of one shop in  Cambodia, one in Laos and one in Pattaya.

In the Cambodia case, when they extracted a hair from my leg, that was the last straw.  I left and paid pro rata for the 15 minutes I had. There was a minor argument as they wanted the full 1 hour payment, which they did not get.

The shop in Laos said I didn't need to pay, but I paid for the time pro rata.

In Pattaya, on my last visit to the normally excellent Relax at Me, I booked a 90 minute oil massage. I left after 40 minutes, they rang up the full 90 minute charge, but did not argue when I said less than 1 hour and paid the 1 hour fee  (this guy was an exception -service there is normally good).

The standard outside of SE Asia seems more variable. I visited a Hong Kong masseur in London & he had no massage skills at all.

There was a very slip Filipino student doing massages about 20 miles from my home.  He offered nude massages for a bargain £30 with HE.   However, whilst the ending was good, the preceding 45 minutes of massage suffered due to dreadful technique.

I should have advised him to actually learn to massage and double his prices.

I've not yet been caught out by places who don't have the people advertised on websites, but surely if you are dissatisfied with that type of deception, the best response would be to walk out without hiring anyone ?

I did once scan through some Chinese massage websites and they seem to have the same boys allegedly available in about 6 different cities.

My life is easy as I generally don't believe any ads and websites and am positively surprised if any dream boy from massage  or bar's website would appear in the flesh in front of me.

And I do not complain as quite a few of best boys I met were just assigned to me, recommended by the staff or simply were hired as the best from the bad bunch and somehow it worked up miraculously. We need only one boy to shine at the time unless one is into 4 hands or sandwich
