    • Awwwwww, sweetie,   I FEEL ya !      Take a few and call me in 3 1/2 years........
    • Yes, try Boyztown. Get Bolt app on phone for fast travel back from Boyztown to Jomtien with man. Agate is fine. I always book room for two, though alone. Consider East Suites for larger rooms.
    • Hello everyone,    im planning my second trip to Thailand, reading the forum last year I got some great advice that helped me a lot. This year I wanted to spend some extra time in Thailand so I’m likely going to go for 22-23 days. I want to spend a week at the beginning of my trip in pattaya and the rest in bangkok.    onto my questions, for pattaya reading the forum it seems like the best area to stay is Jomtien. I want to of course hang out at the beach, do some shopping, eat some more amazing food and of course visit the bars, I have been reading trying to determine which hotel to stay at. The forum seems pretty decided that Agate is the best value and from my pricing search it seems so, I’m just confirming it seems like there is no issues bringing guests back and it is right in the heart of the action.  Besides Jomtien, should I also be visiting boyztown? If you decide to bring boy back is this too far from my hotel in Jomtien?    I will likely book a car from BKK to take me directly to the hotel as I prefer the certainty for a new destination.      In bangkok, last year I stayed at Furama silom. I stayed in an executive suite and really liked it. I was going to book again this year however prices are nearly double what I paid last year. So for this year I’m leaning towards the quarter saladaeng, I’ve searched this on the forum however there is only two pages of results, I have read them all even how minor a mention. It seems like guests are not an issue correct? I’m feeling very confident in this selection based on the limited reviews on this forum and the YouTube reviews I have looked over.      I will likely be visiting in October similar to last year, and will gladly post trip reports like I did.   thanks for any advice you can give!
    • Lets start out with the one thing YOU can do that may help.  Because I am nearly in a panic. Feed our barking dog.  Give him his treats.  He is going to need every bit of energy he can get.   Record High Say Immigration Benefits Nation I literally want to throw up.   Of course, all the evil socialist lying Fake Media like Politico are seizing on this to tell lies like this: Such lies!  They hate America! Obviously they want to keep the rapists and lazy and unworthy in. So that they vote Democratic and suck up valuable government resources for Medicaid and food and shit.  Trump needs to double down quickly.  It is like a cancer that is speaking.  Vermin!  At least we have Elon Musk and Grok to tell us the truth. This shows why Trump is right on birthright citizenship.  It is not just illegals.  Many US citizens are unworthy.  They came here decades ago, and their kids got to stay.  And they teach those kids unpatriotic values.  We're going to have to deport a bunch of them, too, to straighten this out.  They may claim they are Americans.  But they are not.  And can we just be honest for once and admit that you can almost tell that by the color of their skin?  And don't go whining on me that I am racist and shit.  You are a DEI America hater if you do! it is only going to get worse, if it is not too late already.  78 % of so-called "Americans" say that the illegals should get a chance to be citizens if they meet certain requirements over a period of time.  Yeah, right.  We tried that when we ended slavery and look what happened.  Obama and shit.  DEI Harris. This is what happens when you let people in and they say "Oh we love America."  Yeah, the America of deadbeats and losers like the shit holes they came from.  And if they have their way America will be a shit hole too.  Which is what Barack Hussein Obama and Senile Joe and that DEI loser Harris were fast turning us into.   We need to end birthright citizenship NOW and kick out a lot of the unpatriotic losers that only claim to be American because of this nonsense.  Hopefully SCOTUS will go along since we have a patriotic majority other than the African and Jew.  And no I am not racist there are good articulate Blacks like Justice Thomas. Please feed our barking dog now.  I had a nightmare last night that there were protests about "hunger" and "hospitals closing" and rural deadbeats even spreading lies.  So Trump decided he had to turn @Barknaway into Trump Steaks to feed his own working class lazy ass voters.  Since all the SNAP money went to Musk and the donors.  And they sure as hell ain't giving it back. We need more barking!  And louder!  And yeah you smartasses I read that article about how TikTok is full of shit that rots your brain.  I admit it is almost like the more our cruel pup pushes Tik Tok and barks incessantly, the more it alienates people.  And the less popular Trump and his so-called "cruel" policies become.  But that is just what the Fake media wants you to think.  We need more barking!  Incessantly! Come on, puppy. Be a good puppy, loyal and true!  Bark!  Bark!  Bark! Trump is on a roll.  And if you think he is becoming more unpopular because of all these so-called "cruel" things he is winning, you have been brainwashed.  Why don't you self-deport and go back to whatever shit hole YOU came from? Trump is on a roll and genuine Americans know it! As if to prove how evil they are and how dedicated they are to destroying America's last best hope, the Fake media is even posting lies like this:   GOP warning sign in new poll: Trump’s voters don’t love his tariffs   Such bullshit!  These people disgust me!  They hate America and they should go back to their shit holes.  Even Europe or Canada or these other so-called "allies" who have always been lazy freeloaders who feed on America.
    • Thanks for remembering that, @stevenkesslar.  I find in my off-board life, as well as this on-board life, that it's really difficult for most of my friends to understand what makes the authoritarian follower tick.  If you're not one of them, it's tempting to get mad at them, call them stupid and ascribe a host of negative qualities to them.  This contributor to Psychology Today made a list of thirty qualities guaranteed to make non-authoritarian-followers give them a wide berth.  I also get the willies when I'm around an authoritarian follower. But I'm also aware that I'm not going to change them.  I have a friend who goes on endlessly about his family members who were Bolsonaro supporters and are now Trump fans, and he spends hours trying to convince them how wrong they are.  I got hoarse telling him he's wasting his time and I've now concluded that I'm wasting my time telling him he's wasting his time. For me the goal is not to rail against authoritarian followers, as tempting as that is, but to figure out how to reduce their negative political impact.  If I believe, which I do, that their identity revolves around following a leader, then one solution would be to find them a better leader than Donald Trump.  Some religions have been successful in attracting authoritarian followers, sometimes promoting their fear of the other and dislike of ambiguity.  And, of course, the military is a natural fit for authoritarian followers.  The Republican party under Donald Trump has made a specialty of bringing them into the tent, but the Democratic party has not.  And the Democrats have lost elections as a result. And that's where I get stuck.  I don't want to belong to a political party that's based on a fear of the 'other', that doesn't tolerate opposing thoughts, and that follows a leader rather than a set of values.  Personally, I'm a big fan of Bernie Sanders but he's not a Democrat, he doesn't promote fear of the other, he allows for different points of view and - unfortunately - he's unelectable.  Or so they say. So here are some questions I'm asking these days.  Is it possible to win a national election without appealing to authoritarian followers?  Can a contemporary political party succeed without an authoritarian leader?  Is there a stronger rallying point than fear of the other?  Can differences of opinion become a strength rather than a weakness? Based on what I see in many other countries today, and what I've seen in this country in the past, the answers are clearly "yes".  But, after I'm all done defining the problem, how do I go about solving it?  What do others think?  Can the Democratic party peel away some authoritarian follower voters while staying true to its values?
