The King’s Cup – Jet Skiing World Cup takes place on Jomtien Beach (where else would a jet ski event take place!). It’s a massive event attracting competitors from around 32 countries – all traveling here for a chance to win a cash prize, an elegant trophy, or simply the glory of being aired in front of millions of ESPN Sports (TV) viewers.

   HIS MAJESTY THE KING’S BIRTHDAY ON DECEMBER 5 (PUBLIC HOLIDAY) – This is a major holiday in Thailand as everyone celebrates His Majesty the King‟s Birthday, which is also Thailand‟s Fathers Day. Government offices including Immigration and major bank branches will be closed. Also it is most likely that entertainment venues will close or at least not be serving alcohol.
