Today I, and some friends, went to Bangkok-Pattaya hospital to visit with Gaypattayan. We were very pleasantly surprised to see him fully alert, in excellent spirits, fully coherent, and looking great for someone who just came through surgery. He even expects to be released very soon, possibly as soon as tomorrow. His boyfriend was also there, asleep on the couch in the hospital room as he had been there all night helping to take care of him. The room is in the new wing of the hospital. Perhaps I am the last to know, but I found out today that Thai Immigration does not require a new Financial Letter every year when renewing a Retirement Visa. If you are using the same passport as the last time you submitted the letter, you only need to make a photo copy of it and take the original and the copy to Immigration when you submit the paperwork to renew your Retirement Visa, This saves a trip to BKK to the embassy and the notary cost to the embassy, which for US citizens is 1140 baht.

Please help. I initially was coming to Thailand for about 28 days and just discovered that the trip was extended to 33 days. GT Friends, My bf and I viewed two days ago - the new movie "'King Naresuan". It is now appearing nationwide. Hi guys. I'll be on a BKK-Phuket flight next week, and can't quite figure out their baggage limits. It seems they only allow 15kg, about 33 pounds! International flights allow two suitcases up to 50 lbs each, or 100 lbs! I also can't figure out the AirAsia excess baggage charges. There are differnt charges for "AK" or "FD" flights. HUH?! HELP!

BANGKOK, Jan 22 (TNA) Transport Minister Admiral Thira Haocharoen has threatened to reshuffle the management of the Airports of Thailand should it fail to accelerate the examination of reported taxiway cracks at Bangkok's new Suvarnabhumi Airport. Don't confuse the K-Boy Karaoke with Sunee Plaza'a K-Boy bar. They are two separate things.
