  2. Don't ask me why your response was sent to my spam folder. Totally unintentional. Thanks for the info. Now to start ignoring....
  3. I'm not too familiar with the software used in this forum. But, is there an "ignore" feature where I can select NOT to see the posts of selected members? I belong to several sites and that's a common feature. Does anyone know if that's available on this site and where to find it?
  4. Thanks for making us feel welcome. It's responses like yours that keeps me from posting more frequently. Now, I'm going to spend the rest of the evening looking for an "ignore" function on this site so I don't have to read your fucking posts again.
  5. Well, they're not all porn but here are some sites I try to visit daily: http://www.hunkdujour.com/ http://www.mostbeautifulman.com/ (I always read the "News" and "Blog" sections. http://thebananablog.com/ http://www.barenakedmen.blogspot.com/ http://www.sizingupblog.com/ http://omgnsfw.com/ Hope y'all enjoy them.
  6. I haven't posted here in ages. But, it is refreshing and nice to be able to see some of my favorite posters here. Thanks to Lucky for his balanced perspective on the other site. I didn't know the Arts forum was being dismantled. That's a real shame - I thoroughly enjoyed that part of the site. Was also very surprised to see this topic included some very nice pix of Ralph Wood. Some of those shots (and others on this site) would not have been allowed @ Daddy's. Makes me wonder if Daddy is just being overly cautious on the legalities of posting explicit shots or if this site is willing to take a chance. Again, I appreciate the info in this thread and those who provide an insight on the issue.
  7. If it ain't broke, why fix it? Hate it when they think they have to muck with something that works just fine.
  8. Just trying going to Brats and Punks. There was a message saying the blog violated TOS and asked the authors to provide their e-mail and log-on info for their Google account.
  9. Prior to logging out, I go to "Board Statistics" at the bottom of the forum page. I mark all posts as read and then "Delete cookies set by this board". I then log off and it doesn't not remember me or allow me to post.
  10. Lucky really scooped the local (Utah) media on this one. They didn't start reporting it until today. Here's link to the story being run by KSL TV (the local NBC affiliate). For those that might not know, KSL is owned and run by the Mormon Church. http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=5744801 Be sure to click on the Comment Board link to read what the locals are saying. Very interesting.
  11. Here's some of the things I like to do with escorts on overnight and extended sessions: Wine and Dine Stage Plays Use them as a "tour guide" when I'm new to their city Camping, 4-wheeling, and times at my recreation property Concerts Casino hopping When we've traveling together, I make sure to schedule some "alone" time where they are free to do things on their own. They'll often want to spent time alone in the gym, take a walk, play computer games, or just watch their favorite TV programs. I think most of them appreciate that they don't always have to feel like they're "on the clock".
  12. Ran across a very moving campaign on another site. I'm sure we're all aware that the California marriages performed before Prop 8 are in question. Are they legal or will they be dissolved? Here's a very moving video and a place where you can support those who, IMHO, are legally married. Fidelity: Don't Divorce....
  13. A Boston police officer has been reassigned to desk duty pending an internal affairs investigation of reports that he used a police cruiser without authority to escort two celebrity strippers, known as the "Brangelina" of the gay community, to a nightclub in the Theater District. http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachus...ostPop_Emailed6 IMHO, the cop has very good taste.
  14. To supplement Lucky's wonderful post, here's part of an article I found on another site about gays that are currently serving in the Obama administration: The Lesbian and Gay Victory Fund, a group that funds out gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans candidates regardless of party affiliation, said that so far, sixteen lesbian and gay individuals have received appointments from President Barack Obama. The fund said many of them applied for their positions through the Gay and Lesbian Leadership Institute’s Presidential Appointments Project. The appointees are: * Anthony Bernal - Scheduler, Office of Dr. Jill Biden * John Berry - Director-Designate, Office of Personnel Management * Brian Bond - Deputy Director, White House Office of Public Liaison * Ebs Burnough - Deputy Scheduler, Office of the First Lady * Michael Camunez - Domestic Policy Cluster Head, Presidential Personnel * Brook Colangelo - Chief Information Officer, White House Office of Administration * Brad Kiley - Director, White House Office of Management and Administration * Fred Hochberg - Director-Designate, U.S. Export-Import Bank * Karine Jean-Pierre - White House Liaison, U.S. Department of Labour * David Medina - Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the First Lady * Dave Noble - White House Liaison, National Aeronautics and Space Administration * Mark Perriello - Director of Priority Placement, Presidential Personnel * Nancy Sutley - White House Council on Environmental Quality * Moe Vela - Director of Operations, Office of the Vice President * Kei Koizumi - Assistant Director for Federal Research and Development, Office of Science and Technology Policy * Alison Nathan - White House Counsels Office In December Chuck Wolfe, president of the Lesbian and Gay Victory Fund, told the Washington Blade: "As we talk about either keeping or renewing America's promise, which the President-elect has been talking about, apparently it does not yet extend to gay and lesbian people in the Cabinet." http://www.pinknews.co.uk/news/articles/2005-11011.html
  15. Here's a statement issued by Phelps on Sunday: “I engaged in behavior which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgment. I'm 23 years old and despite the successes I've had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner people have come to expect from me. For this, I am sorry. I promise my fans and the public it will not happen again.†Unfortunately, it's not a denial of any supposed drug use. This doesn't look good.
  16. Newspapers in the UK are publishing pictures which supposedly show Michael Phelps smoking a bong. IF (and I emphasize if) it is true, this could torpedo his participation in the 2012 games in London. I believe there is a 4-year ban from the Olympics for drug use. Read more at: http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/news/15083...nabis-pipe.html Very, very sad.
  17. I have to totally agree with you on that one. I'm also surprised at that multiple IDs are allowed. I "thought" that was done away with years ago but recently learned it was not really being enforced. That's a shame. Here, here!! Many times I have used their search feature to find a previous thread that had info that I wanted. Plus, I really like the format of their forum and the "look" / functionality of the software. I, too, have been amazed that this site has doesn't seem to have the same level of participation. I'd really hate to see either site go away and hope both places continue to provide a valuable service that I enjoy.
  18. I remember when a very good friend left his wife, got divorced, and beame involved in his first gay long-term relationship. His partner was very abusive (mostly mental but some physical). My friend was "required" to call when he arrived at work, took lunch, and when he left to come home. He was not "allowed" to go anywhere without his partner (except for work). His partner always listened in to telephone conversations and previewed all communications (including e-mail). The relationship also included bondage and being tied to the bed every night when they slept. He was beat and "disciplined" if he broke the rules. It was a very sick and damaging relationship. But what totally surprised me was that my friend allowed this to happen. He's a former FBI agent and had the physical training to prevent the abuse. But, the mental manipulation and need for acceptance was his downfall. I helped him escape from that environment. Now, 20 years later, my friend is in a very loving and healthy gay relationship. But he still has "baggage" from the abusive relationship.
  19. I have a plethora of gay friends and have not disclosed to them that I hire (except for those I've met on this and similar sites). It's just not something that has ever come up in conversation. While I never deny that I'm gay, I do consider myself discrete. I don't have an overwhelming need to discuss my personal life with family, straight friends or co-workers. Therefore, discussing my hiring practices would be totally out of character for me. My family has met many of my gay friends (yes, I'm "out" to them) and we often do things together. They've also met a couple of escorts I've hired for extended / weekend sessions. I've just never disclosed the monetary nature of our relationship and the family has never asked. FYI, my work environment for the past 10 years is one where disclosure of my hiring practices could be problematic. "Don't ask, don't tell" pretty much describes the way I live my life and it's served me well. Although there is a corporate policy that specifically prohibits gay-related discrimination and provides domestic partner benefits, the local entity and "culture" is not that inclusive. I don't have the time or energy to try and change the work environment in Utah. So, I just keep my personal life a non-issue.
  20. Quite frankly, that's one of things that I like about this site. When I see a review I can trust that the escort is still in the business. I know one other review site that hasn't cleaned up their database for at least 2-3 years. There's nothing more frustrating than to find an escort on their site that I want to hire and then realize that the reviews are ancient and the contact info is no longer valid. I totally support the idea of removing reviews for retired escorts.
  21. I totally agree with you. Although my parents and I had our "ups and downs", I still miss them now that they're gone. But, I'd really encourage everyone to take in their conversations while they're still around. I've found out a lot about my family when I let them rattle on. For example: I had heard for years about my father's half-brother that "rode off into the sunset" on his horse and was never heard from again. The last Thanksgiving before my father died, he started talking about his missing brother. Wanting to move the story along I said, "Oh you mean the one that rode off on the horse?" My father then admitted that he didn't really see him ride off but did see him go to the barn followed by his father. I then asked who really did see him ride off. My father replied, "Well, I'm not sure but everyone said that's what happened." Long story short, I used that additional info to ask my father's other brother what really happened. My uncle eventually admitted that his father and the other brother got in an argument in the barn. A fight ensued and the brother was killed (don't know if it was murder or accidental). The family "invented" the story that he rode off into the sunset to protect their father. (They buried the body of the son in the barn. And, yes, we found human bones in the area where the old barn was located.) Another time my mother, who was a WW II veteran, started talking about one of her brothers that was also in that war. (We all knew he had served in the war but didn't have any details.) When she casually mentioned something about "his citation", I followed up for more details. Turns out his unit received a Presidential Citation and he was awarded a Distinguished Service Cross (the second highest military decoration that can be awarded to a member of the United States Army). Interesting what you can learn when you let the old folks talk.
  22. Here's two sites I try to visit daily: The Banana Blog http://thebananablog.com/ The Ashton Cruz Zoo http://www.theashtoncruzzoo.blogspot.com/
  23. I'm taking my binoculars when I see him in October from Row G. Hopefully, I'll be able to verify if the picture in question is a fake or not. Have tried contacting him to see if he's available for a one-on-one session that night. But, alas, he hasn't responded (yet).
  24. I'm a big fan of Skype. Went on vacation to Europe in July and it was invaluable. Have also used it for a couple of years to talk with my nephew who lived in Switzerland. Haven't tried anything else because there's no need. Skype gives me everything I need.
  25. I've actually tickets for a performance in mid-October. Can't wait to see the play. BTW, I'd recommend reading the play. I found it very interesting.
