I wonder how many programmas a garoto has a night at 117. I spoke to one who said he worked four days a week, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays . His going rate was Rz 150. It could add up to some good money, especially compared to the normal Brazilian salaries.

If you don't have any reais you can pay with credit card at the stands for pre paid taxis. There are , however, ATM machines one floor up from the arrival hall at Galleao airport in Rio. Be careful , though , several people have had their accounts hacked after using them !
