Look forward to visiting this bar when I’m there early January. Not for from the Novotel so shall definitely pop in!

Great reports monsoon. It’s as if I was there in PP again. What was your view of the Novotel? I’ve booked for four days in January x

I loved Luang Prabang for the vibe, culture and friendly people but it seemed to be a gay desert. My advice would be stick to Thailand and/or Cambodia for gay related activities and go to Laos to rejuvenate in other ways.

When I was there on a Saturday after 9pm, around 30 to 40 guys

I had no experiences in the saunas as I did not hang around as I could not see anything. Too dangerous for me as I am myopic. Lots of twinks at A and P sauna. Busy around 9pm on a Saturday when I was there.

Raposa - yes, just walk in. As previously stated, more choice of guys mid/late afternoon onwards

I did not find the guys at Hatha pushy and the guy at reception is there to advise. I said I wanted guys who could actually massage and he indicated the best masseurs to me. Make the point that you are interested in massage only to him and the guy if that is the case. On another note, there are other great non gay places for massage if that is what you want. I went to a place near the palace called Poleak which is well known for the quality of non sexual massages.

I’ll be in Jomtien Supertown complex with my husband celebrating with bubbles the New Year (and our annual 3month stay in Jomtien). We love it here.

I popped into the bookshop to buy the book today and I asked the guy there if they had the book and it was the author, Dave Collier. A lovely guy. I’ve started reading it and it is an engaging read so far….some of the characters he came into contact with makes Jomtien Supertown Complex look VERY tame indeed!

When staying in Silom, I have used Excelsior tailors and have always been delighted with the clothes they have produced. A tad pricey but quality unsurpassed.

I concede to Vinapu who is correct. A typo. Hatha is indeed on street 330. Thank you for your eagle eye. A good point about guys at Space viewing your stamp collection! I certainly got the feeling that the hunks at Space were drinking companions only and not particularly interested in other activities. Fun for watching, flirting and some discreet touching but nothing else. I was unable to practise my Vinapu tuck….

A reply to some of your queries a-447. I have been very happy with the Sun and Moon. Very comfortable, great security and good gym and pool so I’m a happy bunny. I would not stay here again but that is due to the very busy area it is in so next time, it will be A and P or Rambutan for me. The Hatha Khmer I went to is near A and P but not around the corner. It is on street 18Eo Street 300 and is around the corner from Love Spa. I recommend Hatha Khmer for the massages and quality of guys. My friend has stayed at A and P and has had no problems hooking up with massage guys and staff there. It is ironic that one of the hottest guys in the place who works behind the bar is decidedly straight Hope this has answered your queries. Have a great Christmas in Japan.

No problem. Glad you found the info useful. It is ironic that in little over a week here, I have met more hot ‘up for it’ Cambodian guys in Jomtien than I have in the bars here. A lot of the bar guys in Jomtien are Cambodian or Lao. A lot I have talked to are considering going to Thailand to work as tourist numbers are apparently really down here at the present time. That said, PP is a fun place to visit as long as expectations are lowered somewhat.
