Darn, I have to start all over again as Fountainhall said many of the things I wanted to say. Yes, we have all been there and done that, and some of us more then once. I see nothing wrong with caring a lot for a beautiful boy, especially when you first come to this country, I see nothing wrong with trying to believe he cares for you as much as you care for him, I see nothing wrong with trying to help him when he asks for help, but---and there is always a but---you must learn to keep part of yourself detached and able to evaluate reality without getting slapped in the face. Easy to say, but hard to do. Unfortunately I think all but a select few have to learn this lesson through getting hurt by being too willing to believe that the one you love, loves you as strongly as you love him. I wish I could have learned without the pain of finding out that my love was not returned, but I am not one of those select few that could do this. However, I am also glad to have, more then once, made the trip and felt the pain, and learned to grow from the experience. I know of many who have come to this country and believed so strongly that they could not take the pain and grow, and instead jumped from their balconies or some other self-destructive act. Savor the pain you may be feeling now as it is a valuable tool to helping you deal with a fickle younger lover. Do come back, and try again, and work on getting that necessary separation. You will have no trouble finding your next love, the danger only lies in caring so deeply that you lose that-- all to necessary--detachment. Concentrate on learning how to do that and you will be fine.

Fountainhall, I am jealous as I have never been to the South of France, but this cathedral's interior is incredibly beautiful and has been often photographed, and is on my list to visit. Hint---The same name in part of a cathedral in Paris and Reims, and dozens of others around the world in the same and different language.

Sorry, but I suspect Bob has more money then you so I cannot be indifferentem, but with the proper payment I would become partialitatem. Sadly, then you may find that your pistol may not be loaded. However, Bob may not have enough money for me to put up with many jokes like his "tongue in cheek joke" at the end of page 2 of this thread. Peeing my pants laughing does not make me happy.

Okay, first question is how long have you been a member of the gay community and how long have you been in Pattaya? Just kidding, but other boards like Thai Visa do have rules, and they do ban members when they don't follow these rules so I am not sure if exactly what you are asking. Is it more common on the gay boards. Never did a study on it, but it may be as the gay boards in Thailand are mostly men, versus the family boards on other sites. Single gay men do seem---to me---to challenge each other more then a mixed board. however, i repeat I have never done a study on this.

They are very pleasant until they get behind the wheel of a car.I I am glad to see a new member, do keep posting.

I too wish to compliment Gaybutton for coming on this forum and setting the record straight. It was a nice thing to do. Mr. Shamahan I can guarantee that if your friend joins this web board he will be welcomed by me, until he proves that his addition to this site is detrimental, and then I will only challenge him or ignore him. I will not advocate for his removal unless he blatantly violates the rules of this board. As for you, I am reminded of others who live in a cave, and think it is time for you to get some sunlight.

To heck with ITunes. To use that I have to have an inferior product. However, I found the movie on youtube and watched the entire movie on my TV via HDMI. Thank you TW for the info, I did enjoy this movie, but wanted a different ending. In fact, I would like a different ending in the real life selection of the Pope also. PS to Bob. You need more current history. Try looking up the name of Taiwan before it was commonly known as Taiwan.

My mind is going. I actually meant Pope Boniface VIII, who was responsible for Dante's exile and not yet dead when the inferno was written. Dante is at first welcomed to the eight circle by another Pope who thinks he is Boniface come early. I remember the similarities between Boniface VIII and Ratzinger in that they both felt that the Pope was the highest power in the land and opposed secuiar rule. Among others acts, Boniface was the Pope who used the king of France to defeat the White Guelphs in Forence who opposed the Pope's influence in Italy. Dante was such a white Guelph. I am not really after the bad Popes, but the religious leaders like the present Pope who continue to block gay rights and women's productive rights. This is the 21st century and these leaders are ignoring science and knowledge their predecessors did not have, nor do they seem to understand the doctrine of Jesus Christ, the man they profess to follow;.

I do not think the policies of the church will change in any respects. I wonder what place you get in heaven for blocking women's productive rights and the rights of gay people. If all the suffering of these two aspects of conservative religious teachings were laid on the leaders of the churches that advocate for them, what rung in hell would these leaders be consigned too? For you history/literary types remember were Dante put Martin I. I suspect Martin has and will continue to have a lot of company in this place, and--in my opinion--that will include Ratzinger.

The next pope will be that black cardinal from Africa, and I doubt he is the anti-Christ. More like the anti-gay Pope.

I can think of only two people that have been banned on this board since a certain obstreperous moderator left this board around 2 1/2 years ago. One person gave out personal information on another poster and the other was a giant pain in the .... If you know of any others that may have been banned do to a tip from another board, please inform us, as I would be the first to join you in objecting to such activity.

I am a professional, and according to some people, I don't need to play safely.

I have only stayed on the Swiss lodge with my partner, and found it a great place to stay. However, a friend of mine who is single stayed there and he had two three ways (on seperate niights) with no joiner fees. I do think they object when you try to bring an elephant into you room, Other then that____This is Thailand.

Give me a nice stiff snake to hang onto any day of the week. I will leave the big snakes for you ladies, and just play with the normal ones

I love things Spanish and I love tapas, but to be 100% accurate Catalan cooking and tapas are sliightly different then say Madrid's Spanish Tapas cooking. For example there are many more pork dishes in Barcelona then the rest of Spain and less fish dishes. A lot of places specialize in stews with pork and a mixture of nuts and herbs called picada. I do love both, but do recognize some differences.

Does Thaksin Shinawatra rule Thailand from Abroad?
KhorTose replied to TotallyOz's topic in The Beer Bar
The answer is probably yes, he does rule from abroad. Why not, he is still the only PM to ever be re-elected in his name and in his sisters. Is he honest and above board? NO. Now we need to compare with him with others who are now or were in power. Can't really do that without talking about that damn elephant in the room---so no where to really go except say he is no angel, but Thaksin is probably better then any alternative out there. Really kind of sad in a way. -
but, but ,but but-----I've always been told that all you need is love-------not true?

Yeah, these bisexuals just can't get pussy off of their minds.

The edit feature on this board really sucks. I only wanted to quote part of what you said and this thing won't let me. Oh well, as to your parents, their inability to accept you as gay is truly their loss not yours. Beating yourself up for their inadequacies is self-defeating and misplaced anger at the very best. Yes, be angry at them for the hurt, but try not to take it out on yourself, or engage in self-pity. Then go one step further and try to understand why they were this way. You know their past and if you think upon it the answers will come to you. One possibility you might consider is that their rigidness could be both do to age and to a personal struggle they themselves might have had with sexual orientation. I am reminded of Javier the detective in Les Miserables who forced himself into such a narrow system of actions and beliefs to overcome his past that when he saw his belief structure collapse he could no longer cope with the world as it really was. Understanding why they were like they were, will help you stop being angry at them, and perhaps even lead to your forgiveness of them. Until you reach that stage you are imposing a burden on your own happiness and I wish you the greatest success in finding that understanding of your parents.

Three more in total as the series was planned for 9 films. While I will admit being popular does not equate to good, I and millions of others have enjoyed this adventure into the future. Well at least I enjoyed the middle three films. Frankly the first three films (chronologically) in the series left a lot to be desired. I do hope the new director does a better job on these next and last three.

As a veteran and member of the VFW I do have some comments on Thaiworthy's choices. I know nothing about the desert storm veterans organization, but all the rest are familiar to me. Three of of these organizations do require a comment. The VFW requires you swear an oath under God, but did not mind that I crossed it out when I joined. The Military order of the Purple heart is chartered by Congress, and the American legion is a right wing Republican front in that like the NRA they endorse and only support Republican candidates regardless of their stand on Veteran's issues. None of the other Vet organization require you be a believer or endorse candidates. Thank you Thaiworthy for including Vets on your list.

A is Vanessa Redgraves daughter of Michael and Lady Redgrave or Rachael Kempson, and mother of the wonderful Lynn Redgraves. I can look up the rest, but feeling lazy---let another answer.

Dale ignoring the comments you are receiving is at the very best rude. Congratulation on being the only other person I have ever put on ignore on this board.. The last thing I need is to do is listen to anything you advocate for. The message is good, but the messenger frankly sucks. -
Yes, I am addicted to my guns and I am afraid of a military takeover. The addiction was caused by the fun I used to have shooting with my brother and dad when I was still a small child (eight), and fear of a military takeover came from having served four years in the army. I would give more credibility to Mr. King's paranoia charge had he also spent some time in the military where forced Christianity, sexism, racism, female rape and right wing politics are still quite prevalent especially in the ranks of the officer corp. Just check out the reports coming out of the various academies and see if I am making it up. PS IF YOU TYPE eight) you get a funny face
