  1. Yes it is a change of aircraft. It might be some distance to the next gate so check when you arrive.
  2. In Pattaya most bars are open until 11 pm. Gogo are closed still. They may be open in BKK. Karoake and night clubs are closed in Pattaya massage places are open.
  3. Londoner. Your post promoted me to look at Emirates website. In Mid June they have flights departing LHR at various times in the evening surrounding the usual Eva departure time of 2130. Agreed there is a stopover enroute but it is only about 1.30 hour However a few things to think of: If you want to go business class fares are currently £2455 return (assuming a one month stay) and secondly all legs are on the A380. If, you have not flown on it I would highly recommend it is Business. You’ll never look back! You can even leave your seat and sit in the bar for as long as you like! And don’t forget Emirates sends a car to collect you from home and take you to LHR. Same or arrival at BKK and same on return flights to LHR. I don’t think you’ll get that in business on Eva. Finally, they have an excellent track record of keeping to their schedule, unlike Eva.
  4. What a load of old tosh. Why the hell does an applicant have to send everything to a hotel only for them to send it on to the Thai Pass people? The applicant has to send it to them anyway. And why within 30 hours ffs? Then what about the second hotel 5 days later? Is it any wonder hardly anyone is bothering? TIT

    Thai Pass

I do not understand the question. You must book an approved SHA Hotel. The booking will include transport from the airport direct to your hotel and test either at the hotel, or at the hospital on they way to the hotel. After you have passed the test you are free to travel anywhere. You need another hotel and test after 5 days.
  6. I would recommend Emirates or Swiss. Have used both recently. You should watch Departure and Arrival boards for your selected airline and flights. That will give you an indication of cancellations before booking.
  7. Surely if the flight is scheduled to land after midnight the stamp should be the ACTUAL date of arrival?? an equally if it is scheduled to arrive just before midnight, and is delayed, the stamp should be the next day? I can imagine spending some time arguing this at Immigration as I don’t leave the desk untiI I personally check the stamp and expiry date!
  8. Over the last 2 years or so we have got used to there being no direct flights to Thailand From London (except for Thai’s rather poor service). Consequently, I have got used to having to change enroute. Last year I flew with Swiss and apart from a slightly uncomfortable B777 it was faultless, with a short stopover in Zurich. This year I used Emirates and paid a bit more. It was superb. I can’t see Eva returning any time soon, so we will just have to get used to it.
  9. I was in a similar position. Only a week between applying for the Thai Pass and my flight date. After two or three days had passed I had only the acknowledgement I was getting seriously worried. I then found this website https://asq.in.th/thailand-pass?tpOpen=1&rushIt who promise you the pass in 6 to 48 hours. Or a refund. I paid up and got the pass in an hour! Recomended.
  10. I don’t get it. The suggested requirements are identical to the Test and Go I underwent back in late December, when “ new” requirements are introduced. i had a second PCR, after 6 days, on the 2 January. I am still waiting the results!!
  11. I’m not sure what you mean. The Thai Pass is free. This service is something different and costs money. The site I’m recommending is for people who are having problems such as Queries or a flight in the next few days. They will somehow expedite the issue of your Thai Pass. They are NOT the same people who issue the Pass. It worked for me as I had only a few days left before I was due to fly and no end of phone calls or emails to the people who issue the pass helped. I hope that answers your question.
  12. I can recommend this website if you are having trouble getting the Thai Pass. https://asq.in.th/thailand-pass?tpOpen=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAxJSPBhAoEiwAeO_fP94310FknK00kKtMzJ3vg0Q6khdKBKDEk1c227Y5Js5Ds72xLIolNhoCvUcQAvD_BwE They managed to get mine issued in less than an hour. I had been waiting for about five days and the flight was due to leave a few days later. it cost 6500 baht because of the short notice but was well worth it. Dont ask how they did it. I tried phoning email etc..nothing Probably best not to ask! TIT
  13. You wouldnt think it driving along Soi Boukou in Pattaya..some of the bars were jammed full. And for the first time today I saw quite a few guys walking with their “offs” both male and female. Certainly nothing like last year.

    Tawan bar

TMax. That link is a year old...January 2021
  15. I use them too. They are like a huge flannel (face cloth).
  16. What happened?
  17. I had the same problem. Try this. 1. Delete pic 2. Rotate pic more than 360 degrees on your device. 3. Repost. Seems to work for me...
  18. I guess because the rules say night clubs, bars, karaoke etc are to remain closed. If boys were to be seen in underwear it could hardly be classed as a “restaurant”.

The 1 a.m. wanking show was no more last time I visited. It used to be an excellent diversion on the way home!

Not only that, but they have to provide transport to Pattaya which would cost you 1500 baht (£35) for an equivalent taxi!
  21. My reply on the other board: QUOTE=Oliver2;284420]it seems odd to have been taking bookings up to Wednesday and then making a decision today. What has changed in the past few days? Have I missed something? Has the prognosis concerning Covid's spread changed? [/QUOTE] My bet is that it has nothing to do with any variations of Covid. About now most people will have booked their Xmas and New Year holidays. Eva would have looked at the figures and probably decided it was uneconomical to operate these flights. Looking at recent figures published for flights and passenger arrivals at Savanabhumi it seems load factors are very low indeed. Thai procrastination, plus their horrendous bureaucracy, has probably put many off going to Thailand. They are going to learn to regret it.
  22. Did Sansuk reopen on 1 November as per the previous post??
  23. Part of the problem is they sometimes won’t allow you to change seats so that there is nobody next to you. I assume this is because their records would be incorrect. Catch 22!

    Thai Pass

I have just completed my Thai Pass application. As a precaution I printed all documents to take with me anyway. When it came to downloading them it gave the option of taking a photo which I thought would be easier than the other options. So I photographed everything as I went through the form and Bingo, it accepted the lot. No problem about PDF’s! At the end I hit submit and got an instant on screen acknowledgement. Then literally in seconds I got my Thai Pass followed seconds later by another email saying it had been received and could take seven days!! Obviously no humans are checking The applications. It must all be done automatically.
