Few people mentioned Amara, just left after 2 nights there and for those who like upscale hotels I can fully recommend. Very well appointed rooms and those on upper floors have a view, I was on 16th and it was quite impressive , not like from MahaNakhon but still close.
Rooftop poll an additional bonus and very impressive buffet breakfast. Walking distance to Patpong and Red Planet is just beside.
But it all costs money so while I recommend it be prepared with fat wallet .
AND MOST IMPORTANT- NO PROBLEM WITH VISITORS, they  let ChristianPFC in without asking any questions and the same with two lesser mortals, one quite impressively tattooed. ( no we did not have foursome , after all I was there 2 nights, right ?)

Day 1.9: Advantage: numazu
 
When thinking about getting into any kind of relationship with a working boy in Thailand, and you are a Westerner visiting, invariably you start at a huge advantage in the relationship. You have the money that they need, you usually choose where both of you sleep, what you guys do, and when you leave and start making regular trips back, you also get to dictate the time both of you spend with each other. Sure, they probably have the youth and sex drive as their bargaining chips, but more often than not the person who holds the purse strings also holds most of the power.
 
Now tonight, with MonBoy having broken 2 promises this night (one to pick him at 12 midnight, and then finishing his off at 1 AM), is starting even at a further disadvantage with me. I was (faking) being angry with him, and it looks like he was concerned about it. He approaches the Captain and I, and he tries to hug me, even with both of my arms still crossed. The Captain talks to MonBoy. Not sure what he was saying, but MonBoy nods a lot, maybe he was giving him instructions on how to make it up to me, or chastising him in getting in this predicament. I felt slightly bad for MonBoy but held my (fake angry) ground.
 
The Captain puts an arm around me whispers in my ear: “He take care of you tonight. You will be very happy.” He was like a fortune teller almost, telling me I will be very happy tonight. We shall see how much this boy wants to keep my business. We are left alone by the Captain and I start walking towards Silom. MonBoy tried to keep up with my furious pace, and then decides to put both arms around me while I walk. Walking in unison I try to squirm away but he is persistent and doesn’t let go. I am still keeping up with my outraged act.
 
We get to Silom and I look at him and I ask him with a calm but firm voice why he broke his promise in ending his off at 1 AM. He tells me, in really broken and nervous English that the customer was wanting to stay longer, and he was trying to leave. I tell him that I didn’t care about the other customer. I was waiting for him and he should honor his promises. He kisses me in the lips, cheeks, nose, neck, right in front of the still healthy sized number of revelers walking on Silom. We stop in the middle of the Soi and I ask him: “Why you want me off you? You want have sex with customer angry you? No good for you!” He answers: “I OK you angry. I want go home with you. I tell him that I don’t know if I wanted to take him home, but right now I was going to Soi Twilight to meet back up with my friends. MonBoy tells me he will go with me.
 
We get out of Thaniya and cross Surawong. I let him guide me across, avoiding the taxis trying to get fares presumably from the boys streaming out of Twilight at this later hour. But we get there the Soi is almost empty like a ghost town. I guess it was the low season so things just close down earlier. Including Hot Male bar apparently. I see the staff closing down and installing the wooden shutters around the bar. I see Myanmar boy and he was surprised to see me for the second time tonight.

We cross the street again and I make my way to Rama IV to get back to hotel. “I go home with you OK?” he asks me, trying to make sure he still had a customer tonight. “You make me happy?” I ask him, stressing his debt to me. “Yes baby! I just thought about him, being so close to me, as we get to Crowne Plaza. I’ve taken a lot of boys back to this hotel, going through that familiar walk on Surawong to Rama IV, but this was the first time I was bringing a boy this physically close to me, this openly affectionate with me, and this persistent to come home with me.
