July 23, 201610 yr Author Now I know what I am not missing by not watching Game of Thrones. Honestly, it is without a doubt one of the greatest TV Shows of all time. Great writing. Great characters. Great plot. It wins so many awards because it is really that good.
July 24, 201610 yr I don't want to believe you Michael, but likely you are right! I recall Breaking Bad which I loved and recommended to a friend who poo-pooed it at first but then fell in love with it. So who knows! There are so many shows on TV which take a bit of time to get hooked on but once addicted ..... Anymore when I watch TV I get distracted by surfing the web and neglect the plot of the TV show.
July 24, 201610 yr Author I watched the first few episodes and hated it. I thought odd and hard to follow. but, I kept watching the first season. At the end of that season, I said, "This is amazing." I have been a loyal fan ever since. I love the books and the TV shows. Brilliant IMHO.
July 24, 201610 yr The only way to watch it is by threading all episodes together and watch them in succession. Otherwise you have no idea what kings are dead and which are still alive. Did they really have that many Kings?
July 24, 201610 yr Today spoke with a friend who is an actor, director and professor of drama who also said Game of Thrones is the best of the best. So, I will try to start off slow and see how it goes.
