September 20, 20179 yr Excerpts from Coconuts Bangkok The monk, whose identity is unknown, must request protein powder in his alms bowl to get those pumped up arms and legs. Supposedly, the hunky monk shared the pictures himself to bring awareness to monks’ health, but the original post could not be located. He wanted Thai monks to try and exercise to stay healthy and strong and for those who give alms to monks to stop giving sweet, fattening, and salty foods. These types of foods make monks sick and cause diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, dyslipidemia (metabolic disorder), and kidney disease. The post went viral because, well, he’s hot, but also because people were debating if a longtime monk sins by lifting weights or not. However, the answer to the conundrum might have been supplied by a popular Facebook page: that monk hunk is a weightlifter who just ordained for a few days, as many Thai men do at some point in their lives. http://coconuts.co/bangkok/news/hunk-monk-bodybuilding-monk-melting-hearts-viral-online-pics/
September 20, 20178 yr However, the answer to the conundrum might have been supplied by a popular Facebook page: that monk hunk is a weightlifter who just ordained for a few days, as many Thai men do at some point in their lives. I'm going to go with the idea that he had, for whatever reason, just recently begun. Perhaps it was in honor of a lost parent, maybe just some spiritual inspiration. It'd seem a little out of the ordinary if he had time to maintain such a physique with approval. Interesting, though - and I'm not sparked by muscles.
September 21, 20178 yr people were debating if a longtime monk sins by lifting weights or not. The problems religion brings when you take it serious. I have met my share of monks in good shape: (He even has a mobile phone! Should have asked for his number!)
