I have today been made aware of a grave situation in Allen

Maybe you can post his bancaccount details, last name and name of the bank so we can send direkt by ATM.

Yes, for those in Thailand all is needed is a ABA number and account number. You can go to any atm and transfer funds and his name comes up on the account to verify you have the right account. My bank Bangkok bank only charges 35B for the transfer.

Just a thought, but couldn't Throb/Splash and/or Boyz Boyz Boyz (or the whole Boyztown area) organize a fund raiser for GP? After all both establishments, and others in the area, have almost certainly prospered partly as a result of GP's efforts in promoting Pattaya.

Thanks for the suggestions I will follow them up asap. We dont think Allen will be in control of his affairs until well after the operation this week and then he gets very confused so I am proposing to channel funds to Wayne his friend or to my self in the lack of any other way that might come to notice in the next day or so. I will keep you posted but the matter is urgent. Thanks to both of you and others who have come forward for your offers.

Another possibility for obtaining funds is through Niddy's Nook. As many know, despite the fact that Niddy's Nook has been sold, he still runs his funds transfer business at a very nominal rate. He is close friends with GP and can be fully trusted. I wouldn't be surprised if he offers to do this and waive his usual fee in this case.

 

Another thought is to obtain Ken's (GP's boyfriend) bank account information and simply transfer funds into his account directly. He takes care of GP and they have been a couple for years. Ken can be fully trusted too.

 

Can you give us some idea of how much money is needed?

The suggestion that the bars get together and put on a fund raiser is very good. Maybe someone also go see each of the bar and restaraunt owners and ask for an immeditate donation. I can not imagine anyone would refuse.

Fundraisers, yes possible but a bit slow to organise and amount raised can be low compared to effort put in but i will follow it up.

Niddy and Ken are being contacted today I hope. Please contact me if reading this.

Amount needed is $2750 immediately, over 105000 baht to pay the 10% guarantee of his Medical Insurance or they wont go ahead.

Cash is needed now, a friend had to pay for Allen's breakfast this morning and put up the guarantee!! That is how desperate things are.

If no other way comes up today I will ask for donations into my account and I will post details later today Monday. Please look in again later.

I'm trying to think of every possible avenue. Have you tried contacting the US Embassy? Perhaps if you explain the situation they can be of help or at least provide advice as to anything that can be done that hasn't already been thought of. Also, GP has been of great help to Dr. Philippe over the years. Perhaps he can give some advice. Is he a member of the Expat's Club? Maybe there is something they can do.

 

I would like to say Allen is all of what others have expressed and much much more.

Friday update - Allen came out of Hospital this afternoon for weekend back on Monday for more checks. Boyfriend Ken and friend Wayne were there to see him home he was bright compared with last week and the Cranium Tap seems to be working.
