January 25, 200620 yr Firefox is a browser, like Internet Explorer. But it's a much better browser than IE. It has a rich feature set that includes tabbed browsing. It's also extensible and there are lots and lots of extensions to it that can be downloaded and installed quickly and painlessly. Best of all, it's free. :-) BG http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/
January 25, 200620 yr I'll echo BG's accolades. If an advancing middle-aged tech dummy like me can use it, anyone can. Forget Internet Explorer - switch to Firefox! Just be sure to stick to version 1.0 for now!!
January 25, 200620 yr My only dislike with Firefox is that it causes adobe acrobat pages to hang up. I end up having to control-alt-delete my way out of them. Anyone have a way to get around that?
January 25, 200620 yr Hmmmm... have you updated Acrobat recently? If not, you might try doing that. It might solve the problem. FF should coexist with Firefox without any real problems. The latest version is 6.0 (I think; I won't vouch for that). BG
January 25, 200620 yr I've never had a problem with Firefox and Abode Acrobat. If Adobe needs an update, I always get a prompt to download before proceeding.
