Now who do we know in Seatle????Oh that 's right }(

Funny how the Seattle resident did not report this news on his own site-rather he lead off todays" news" with an a fable about a bird and a kite?

But of course any sort of helpful warning to his website visitors would be just tooooooo much work for the lazy Seattle resident-and there would be no money in it for him anyway.

And that very frightening "cover gramps"on the opening page?Yikes!

This story also made USA Today. The Las Vegas police also used Craig's list, from what I understand, to bust escorts lately.

An escort commented to me last week that with the recent escort outings he was afraid it was raising too much attention to internet escorts, making them a target. I'm afraid internet escorting is no longer flying under the radar, instead it looks like the internet is going to turn into a tool for police.

It is fascinating that BOTH Seattle and Las Vegas have recently been recipients of some very negative press in the Los Angeles Times. According to the Times both cities have serious moral and ethical problem with their law enforcement, governmental, and judicial agencies.

According to the Times Seattle voters, on Nov. 7, elected to rescind an ordinance recently passed by the city fathers banning a local strip club. Supposedly the mayor, who initiated the ordinance, is furious and is now seeking another way to close the club. Today the paper carried a story regarding the suicide of a Seattle cop. He was being held in jail in Southeast Asia for having sex with a child. According to the article numerous other Seattle police officers were aware of the reason for his trip and suspicion abounds that others might also be involved.

A couple of months ago the Times carried a week long series of articles regarding the corruption of the Las Vegas judicial system. It seems that attorneys hoping to receive favorable treatment in Vegas courtrooms are virtually required to make contributions to the re-election campaigns of judges. Additionally several judges have family members on the payroll of business that have cases pending and/or are being tried in these same judges courtrooms. The names and the photographs of the judges involved were printed. All of these “illustrious judicial paragons” were offered an opportunity to respond in print none, however, chose to do so

Now we see the local cops, in both cities, running around setting up sting operations against escorts. I wonder just how long the tax payers in Seattle and Las Vegas are going to allow their tax dollars to be squandered on such nonsense. It is all just so much bull shit!!!!!

The cop who killed himself was from San Francisco, not Seattle. San Francisco cops don't waste much time on prostitution stings, although street prostitution is often curbed.

TheTimes story on corruption in Las Vegas judges was absolutely astounding. It makes you wonder about the entire state as a cesspool.

Hey Lucky thanks for the correction -- sorry about the mistake. However, even eliminating that part of my post, doesn't change my basic opinion. Seattle still has a mayor who is an ass and seems determined to get local government involved in issues that don't warrant either the time or the expense.

It seems evident to me that when local politicians and law enforcement agencies become involve in escort "witch hunts" they are simply trying to hide major shortcomings in other far more important areas. The interesting question here is just exactly who are the whores in these situations -- the politicians or the escorts? My money is on the politicians. Isn't it an interesting "coincidence" that the English language starts both the words politician and prostitute with the letter "p"!!!!!

My guess for these busts is simple. On the ballot was a proposition to repeal the 4 foot rule for strippers in clubs. It passed, the girls can now once again be able to do lap dances and make money. This was a major upset for the Mayor and the city counsel. For quite a long time now the city counsel kept renewing this rule. So to make it look like they are protecting average Joe citizen they are just moving their ops to another field. This is such a waste of my tax money. The mayor of Seattle is starting to get a big ego and I can't wait to bust it with my vote if he decides to run for office again x(
