Hey guys I need some help. I am going to LA in Jan and was wondering where in the city is a good place to stay. I used to live in Orange County 20yrs ago and haven't been back since. I am primarily going to spend some time with a few escorts. So I would like some ideas for some hotels that are more convenient for meeting guys. I also would entertain any suggestions you have for young twinks to meet. I guess I am looking for the new "Bobby Thompson" type. Thanks

If I might suggest a couple of properties near boystown?

One is the Valadon which is on Cynthia a longish block to SMB

The other would be the Chamberlain on La Peer(?)again a block away from SMB.

Both are a little more roomy and homey than a chain hotel-and the few chains(Hyatt and Ramada)that have properties in that Locale are less than wonderful(reall quite dreadful to be honest)If you need something a little more upscale there is the Sofitel on La Cienega and Beverly which just completed a renovation.

This is not a very practical suggestion as it will break the bank. But the Chateau Marmont is hard to beat. For service. For atmosphere - celeb sightings in the bar and so forth. And for discretion - somehow one (and one's guests) can come and go with absolutely no feeling of being observed. The celebs again value it for that.

Although the bungalow where Belushi snuffed it may be a bit too much atmosphere.

I can vouch for the new(ish) Viceroy in Santa Monica too. Although not quite Boy Central, it was not difficult to get guys to come over there.

Thanks for the tip. I checked them out and made reservations at the Valadon. Now I just need to find the right boy to enjoy the room with me.
