I am planning a trip to Mexico. This will be my first trip there in many years. I plan on spending about 4 weeks. What are the cities you recommend? Any nice gay areas? Any places I should avoid? Thanks.

Try Mexico City, Acapulco and Cancun. Much to see and had good time in each. :D

Puerto Vallarta seems to have been mentioned often over the years in gay travel threads. I have known escorts to mention their visits to PV as well.

On my list one of these years, but not in Summer I think.

If you do Mexico City make sure you have earthquake insurance.

Haven't yet ventured that way. Thailand and Brazil seem to have my attention when traveling out of the country. I have heard alot of negative things about the police from several people I know that traveled there. I guess you could compare them to the Brazilian police.

I went to Acapulco eleven years in a row and really loved it. However, that was many years ago and now the buzz is that it has really suffered over the years. The narco-trafficking has had an impact there and the place reportedly isn't what it was.

Puerto Vallarta has some good vibes about it, but given the fun you are used to in Thailand and Brazil, I suspect you will not find that level of interest in Mexico.

Oz, did you ever go to PV? Maybe you wrote about it somewhere else. I just spent a few days there, and although I had a good time, it is a beach resort and not a hotspot like Sao Paolo or even Rio, which has much more than a beach. Anyway, if you went, let's compare notes.

Definitely Mexico city. I don't really like Puerto Vallarta.
