The critical consensus was on your side. One of our locals called it an offense, not to gays but to comedy. Yet, sticking to the pattern established by other Sandler films shredded by the critics, this one was #1 at the box office for the weekend! It beat out even Harry Potter. The people have spoken. Mencken was a prophet.
