Of all the many comments I've heard about Castro's stepping down, the cleverest to my mind is David Letterman's. For those who may not be aware of it, I paraphrase: Fidel Castro stands to be succeeded either by his brother Raúl or by his feebleminded son, Fidel W. Castro.
