August 30, 200917 yr No matter which city you go to in Brazil, the saunas have the same system and the same basic layout. One thing that the saunas outside of Rio, in Sao Paulo, Belo Horzonte, Porto Alegre have is a glassed in shower area attached to the Bar area so that guys can show prospective clients what they got under the guise of taking a shower! There are anywhere from 6 to 10 shower heads so often there will be up to a dozen guys in there at one time. For some reason none of the saunas in Rio have this setup, but Meo Mundo makes up for it with No Towel nights! Here are pics of the two suanas in Porto Alegre, where you can see the bar area and shower area. The saunas also have private showers for clients but they are more than welcomed to use the glassed in ones as well! :-)
August 31, 200917 yr Active Members Thanks Tomcal, my first glimpse inside a sauna. A bit brighter or more spacious than I imagined. The large shower area is very nice accoutrement.
September 1, 200917 yr TY, All of the suanas have the same basic setup. A open bar area with stage at one end for the stripper and drag queen shows(Brazilians seem to be big on Drag queen shows!) The main bar area is where you meet the majority of the guys. Also in the hallways leading from the locker room areas to the bar. The all have small video rooms where either gay or straight porn is playing and there will be rentboys in there jacking off showeing off what they got! The nicest sauna overall is Mezzininu in Porto Alegre, as it is the only sauna built from the ground up as a Sauna! the rest are all in converted buildings and modified to accomodate the steam suana/rooms etc. Here is a slightly blurry view of Mezzininu showing it's main room. I am standing on the stage with the bar on the right, the glass in showers start where u see the wooden door leading to the steam sauna and wraps around the left and runs the length of the room directly across from the bar. Upstairs on the balcony are a lounge area as well as a dozen "rooms". In the second photo I am in the opposite corner next to the showers looking across the room. BTW, The owner took me on a tour when it first opened and b/4 anyone arrived which is why no one is in the pics! It is usually filled up with guys!
