We are trying to come up with a strategy that will keep only active profiles on the site. With new code, we can make the rules automatic. One of the things we want is to weed out old profiles that are non responsive. If an escort doesn't log in for a period of time, we will Inactivate their profile. What time frame should we give in this? 90 days?

I was thinking after 30 days on not logging in, sending them an e-mail to suggest they log in and update profile, pics, etc. Again, after 60 but when this is done, tell them after 90 days of not logging in their profile will be removed. On the 90th day, Inactive the profile from the site and all searches. The only way to reactivate it is to log in Contact Admin.

This would apply only to profile and not to reviews.

IMO we should send monthly email notices to escorts seeking a response to indicate that they and their email remain active. In addtion to the 'Last Login Date' presently shown on the profile, we would should add 'Email last verified' (30, 60, 90) days ago, whichever number is correct. After 120 days deactivate the profile and send a 'deactivation' email the escort with instructions how to reinstate.

Presumably escorts want to post profiles becasue they do it. That is not necessarily true for reviews. Please keep in mind that submitting escort reviews is not a proactive act for the escort but for the reviewer. Not all escorts care about or are supportive of having reviews posted. Also, not all reviewed escorts have email.

I think an escort should have to login to this site every 30 days .. not just a email sent to be certain that their email is still valid. American Male tried that and it did not work.

Therefore, I would sent a email at 21 days reminding the escort to login and be certain his profile is correct. Then we as readers will see a current login date. If there is no response then at 60 days send a one week notice email again reminding them to login. If they still fail to do so then deactivate their account at 67 days.

An escort who is truly interested in clients should not need longer than this time frame to simply login and review their profile. Simply put there is no logical reason to wait 90 days.

Keeping escort profiles would be awesome and set MER way ahead of other escort sites.

The 30, 60, 90 system sounds relatively uncomplicated to apply, and wouldn't expose you to accusations of being hasty or arbitrary.

After reading Oz's post above, but before reading TY's, the figure '120 days' came to my mind as well.

Some of the most (to me!) attractive are twinks who are not exactly on top of their game, administratively speaking. The extra 30 days might help them, and hardly seems to harm us. Especially if there is thought of adding a 'last verified' date to the listing.
